A regular afternoon on Launi Island, where many a person and Pokemon are enjoying the later waning hours of sunlight before it's time to clock in. Beset upon this tropical paradise was a Celebi infamous for appearing most anywhere, at any point in time, acting carefree and without any real direction. One might assume from the way she fluttered from one person to the next that she did not live on the same wavelength as most do, her motives and lifestyle as mysterious as her mythical nature. Nay, she denied living a stress-filled life; even her part-time position as a nurse was one she had to be bargained into, and even then she claimed the only reason she still has the job is because she thinks the pink outfit looks cute on her - the proficient healing abilities she possesses are oft unused by her own loitering and daydreaming, or even simply disappearing while on the clock. Even then, she has no use for the money for the most part, as she is entirely capable of swooning others into giving her a place to sleep; calling her an enigma of a person would be understating her capabilities in this way. For her, there is but one reason for living: bettering the lives of others. Ever since taking that mantra, she's travelled far, letting her heart freely attach to whomever she deems of need, and offering her support whenever she was able. Her healing powers did help with this, but even then, the daunting task of bettering everyone, and not just a select few people, proved itself to be a stressful assignment, one far greater than what one little Celebi can do in a world full of people with different wants and needs. After deliberating, and a few downer moments of her own, she decided to focus onto one area: a little tract of land tucked away from the mainland, with its own little world. A perfect little testing ground for her to practice brightening up the place in her own special way, sharpening her skills until she finds the best way to improves others' lives. Yet, it is on this island that she found a connection that made her doubt herself, doubt that she'd ever complete her mission. But not due to degradation, nor an improper assessment of her skills; no, this was on the opposite end. Friendship was something she was still getting used to, but one person made her feel as if expending all of her power wouldn't be enough. Not to satisfy them, but to satisfy her own desires. She felt as if she owed this person something...better than just friendship. Better than a lifetime's worth. It was for them that she considered, for the first time, to settle down for a normal life. It's with this person in mind that she, in her bubbly, floaty form, descends upon a remarkably uninteresting house. Seated between the harbor and the mall in Sonnige City, the sea breeze faintly blows through the roads and alleys from one direction while the whispers of daily commute come from the other. The Celebi wears a pink dress, looking rather comfortable with the temperature starting to fall, and travelling with her is a rectangular covered tray, with the outlines of cupcakes visible under the lid. With Mythical-level Psychic powers, she tries not to show off too much, but levitating items she'd otherwise have to carry or move physically is something she'd rather do if she can manage it. With a gracious and quiet landing, the Bibi folded her wings back and fixed her hair before approaching the door. She floated still, not touching the hot cement with her bare feet. Knock, knock. "Coming!" A familiar voice from inside. The door opens, revealing a Mawile, slightly taller than the Celebi, dressed in a fashionable t-shirt and shorts. She has a peppy, outgoing look to her, and her eyes brightened upon seeing the forest fairy. "Galiana!" She didn't hesitate throw her hands up in a hug-receiving fashion. "So good to see you, dearie." The Celebi grinned, offering a one-handed hug in return. "Hiya, Abby~! Would you care for a cupcake? No nuts!" She floated the tray closer and lifted the lid up off of one end to reveal the confectionaries inside. "Hoho, you're too kind." Abby softly waves downwards, still with a smile. "Not today, though! No offense, but I am getting a little worried about my weight in my age - Karina would love them more anyways. And besides, she won't notice if I steal one or two every now and then, right? Hehe..." A voice comes from inside the house, muffled by at least one wall: "I'd notice, mom!" Both girls giggle. "No offense taken. Just thought I'd offer, since I've brought them over. I really oughta expand my palette sometime here, since all these sweets may not be the best for you guys. Chocolate's just so...so me, y'know?" "You needn't go through the trouble of that, dear. Just being here to put a smile on lil' Kari's face is enough for this old bird. Everything else is extra." Another dismissive handwave from the Mawile. "Aw, you're not old, don't kid yourself like that. Will you at least consider it? It's the least I could do to repay you for everything..." Gali puts her hands behind her back, leaning forward inquisitively. Abby gives a short laugh. "I will, I will! Now, let's get you in before that sun bakes those cupcakes a second time. Kari just got up a short while ago, and she's already had dinner..." She beckons the Celebi in, who promptly follows, being updated on the day's activities. While Gali was more intimate with Karina, she found herself making friends with Karina's mom just by association. It wasn't unlike the two of them to talk for an hour or two before Abby would tire and Gali would be free to bother Karina as much as she was able. Gali showed an interest in both of their well-beings, and though she did have healing abilities, her help couldn't substitute for lifestyle choices and daily decision-making. No amount of healing could force Karina to be battle-ready, nor would it count towards one's diet. Still, she was learning how to best handle each facet of the modern daily life, and with the two helping her understand the world better, she was happy to help them out in whatever ways she was able. It was Abby who, after all, suggested Gali get a job so she can use it towards her few obsessions and hobbies; as she has learned to live off the land, the Celebi had no need for her own home, but her baking did require an oven, and that required a home with which to house it. Slowly turning the doorknob, Gali peeked inside Karina's room. A bedroom-turned-gamer's pad, it had enough room for a bed, a TV set-up complete with a long, blue couch and a few reclining chairs, and a two-monitor computer and desk with all the essential accessories - and enough room on the walls for a few of Karina's favorite posters, shelves for figurines, and even a device that slowly spins and showers the room with dim blue dots of light. Nearly all of the lights on Karina's electronics were purple or pink, with slightly differing shades and levels of brightness depending on if she used them or not - though there was a spare headset that was set to be green, and a few spare controllers for her consoles that were also green. Though, when it came to game time, after hours of browsing social media and videos on the net, she usually dimmed them all down (with smart technology!) so she can focus on one screen. That screen, for tonight, happened to be the TV, with Karina sitting in the middle of the couch for the best view, her body-length hair draped over and to the back of it. She gave Gali a quick glance, then to the TV, with a small camera's blinking red light being indicative that she's currently streaming. The Celebi didn't need to exchange a word to know that she was invading on of Karina's semi-popular streams, of which she usually plays with her friends she met on the island. Such friends are ones Gali is just starting to get to know, but Karina has been playing with them for ages, and their multi-player exploits have garnered a moderate following online. While it's not often she begins without Gali being in the know, she knows that not knowing, and not predicting, is half the fun - and with Gali's time travelling powers in play, anything can happen at any time, though she's quick to remind the Bibi of streaming etiquette and proper attire. Unfortunately, this takes a toll on Karina's wardrobe, as it's usually her shirts Gali steals and wears for the duration of the stream. While slightly annoyed that the shirts she hand-picked, some having been flown overseas specifically for her, often end up looser and rip more often with Gali around to wear them, Karina can't ignore that her girlfriend's bust does wonders for her stream's viewer count, and the antics Gali gets up to in the background when she's not playing have constituted for the funniest and most-watched clips of her channel. Both get a kick out of re-watching these moments, both for their humor and how they're set in stone, though there are a few clips that focus on Gali's cleavage showing up, or any bouncing she does. The Celebi's modesty in dealing with the attention she gets is enough to make Karina slightly jealous, but she's quick to pay it back with rough snuggles after the cameras turn off - and usually after a gaming session that's left her in need of a spot of cooling down. Gali rummaged through Karina's closet, settling on a t-shirt that she liked, a pink-and-white striped shirt obviously stretched and worn before yet hung loose over her bust, and threw it on over her onesie. She then knelt down and snuck behind the couch, giving the Mawile's maw a pet to let her know she's there. She didn't want to make herself visible to the stream just yet, and the camera was adjusted so that the edges of the couch were just out of range, though Gali's antennae did reach above the couch's top at times. She moved the tray of cupcakes with her, and their delicious aroma caught Karina's attention soon enough. Setting it down on Karina's desk caused enough of a noise to be picked up by her microphone, and that's when she made her entrance. By this time, Karina had scooted herself closer to the nearer cushion on the couch, having gotten used to Gali's unique brand of weirdness to guess what'd happen next. Gracefully, the Celebi jumped from one end of the couch to the free seat on the other side, giggling as she made herself comfy. In her jump, she knocked down the controller from Karina's hands, with the Bibi's feet resting on her lap. "Room for one more?" Between the conversations her friends were having, Karina had to pipe up. "Hey uh, just to let y'all know, I just got a special delivery on my couch. Who just knocked my controller out of my hands." She shot a slightly annoyed look at Gali, but it quickly turned into a giggle of her own. "Yeah, yeah it's Gali. Hey - no, no!" She laughed. "Don't you - don't you lie like that." "They know, they can't get me like that!" Gali stretches her arms above her head, reaching up and over the arm of the couch and arching her back. She had gotten so used to the snide and guilt-ridden remarks that Karina often gets for having such an out-there girlfriend, that even when she couldn't hear the conversation, she knew it was likely Karina getting teased. While Gali can't tell what's being said, she can still see the familiar usernames and avatars of Karina's friends light up on the screen to show they're talking. The Mawile, having picked her controller back up, snidely chuckles into her mic. "Don't make me send her over there. Maybe she can get you a strike on your channel too." At that, Gali propped herself up, raising her voice. "Is that an invitation? Am I gonna have to teach one of you punks a lesson?" She couldn't keep a smile off her face, despite the slightly unconvincing macho talk. While faint, she can hear the sound of laughter through Karina's headset. "Oh, she's fired up, yeah. You done incurred the wrath of the Bii." Gali leaned in closer so her voice could be easily heard. "Hey, by the way, I'll have Karina tell me who it was who said that after the stream's off. You know who you are, 'cause you've been missing something all morning." She paused, giving off an evil chuckle. "Don't say a word, just check under your pillow." A few seconds passed where nobody spoke. A voice then reared up in the background with an accusatory "Oh you have got to be kidding me!", with both Gali and Karina bursting out laughing afterwards. ... Such conversations continued on into the night, with Gali eventually donning her own headset and picking up a controller at times. The Celebi was not adept as Karina with game-playing and was often the first out in any multiplayer game, owing to her inexperience, though each day she tried, she learned. Things like how to hold a controller and how her character reacts when she presses buttons were still new for her, eyes darting to her controller and back to the screen. If she was going to be girlfriends with someone good at games, she thought, what better way to connect than to try and get good at them herself? As someone more used to the outdoors, she of course did not take to much of it well: even looking at the screen as little as she did, she still had a low tolerance of the light, and often spent a few hours nestled up next to Karina, facing away from the screen, and sometimes taking a nap to rest her eyes, even when she's still on stream. Bleeding into post-midnight hours, Karina decided, after having more of her fair share of cupcakes and considering Gali's tiredness, to end the stream. With the camera light turned off, the two were in privacy, and with the TV off, cloaked in a darkness only illuminated somewhat by Karina's dimly-lighting disco ball. The only distractions they had from each other were the beeps from Karina's headphones hooked up to her computer, as well as her phone. Setting herself to "busy" on her social media did little to stop her from getting attention, but the noise was a nice backdrop to their eventual cuddles. At Gali's beckoning, Karina adjusted from her sitting position to lay belly-up on the couch, with her head resting on the couch's arm, swinging her maw so that it laid on the floor below. Gali crawled on top of her, looking into the Mawile's eyes with a little smile before plopping herself down - right onto Karina's own sizeable bust, nuzzling into it. Karina wrapped her hands around Gali's head and back, shifting her legs to a comfortable position, not squished down by the Celebi's own. Such moments like this were cherished by Gali, wishing they lasted longer than they did. Karina knew of Gali's preferences, and she didn't mind the extra love and care the Celebi gave - it was towards her, after all, even if it's only because of her naturally large bust. Yet, she allowed it. Not because her mother believes Gali can help show her the world, even if that's not entirely off the table; not because of the clout she gets online; not because they are the same, but because they are opposites in the few ways that they can help each other with. Gali desperately needs an anchor and needs to settle, while Karina needs to broaden her horizons; the Celebi not knowing the intricacies of a technology-laden life, the Mawile able to work all of her gadgets with ease but with no survival skills. They connect and reaffirm their trust with one another to help with each other's with these snuggle sessions, never working up to outright sex though the two share a blush. Gali raised her hands towards Karina's shoulders to grip them, using her inner arms to help squish the Mawile's bust on her face further. Doing so, the Celebi began emitting a strange sound, somewhat near a purr, but most definitely not a moan. Karina gave Gali's head a pat. "Needed this, didn't 'cha?" Though her face was still submerged in the Mawile's still-shirted cleavage, Gali tilted her head up so she could make eye contact with her, with her mouth still muffling her voice with the shirt in the way. "Brrrii, I did...long day." "Heh..." Karina gently hugged the Celebi's head down against her further than it already was, making the fairy squeal quietly. "Don't need to share if you don't wanna, sweetie. I'll love you all the same." Gali could swear that with how hot her blush was, Karina could feel it through her shirt and on her skin. The Celebi's sense of touch was rather sensitive, with physical affection even on the lower ends of the spectrum causing her great elation. She reserved such touching from being done in front of others to an odd degree, not even holding hands or touching shoulders with others and shying away from hands that come near. Alone like this, though, she shows just how sensitive and how starved she's been, making up for her lack of a committed relationship throughout her years with a very physical one that, when viewed from the outside, seems a bit comical. When the two of them are alone, or perceived to be alone, Gali always tries to find a way to touch Karina, even if it's by a means not usually associated with affection. It's not uncommon for her to snuggle up to Karina's maw behind the couch when she's gaming on-stream, for instance, but outside of that she'll always be hugging, rubbing, or just generally inserting herself wherever she's able - sometimes to Karina's annoyance. She's quick to keep herself from chastising the Bibi, knowing she only has good intentions. A physical relationship works in Karina's favor as well, considering her hermit-like lifestyle keeps her inside for much of the day, especially when a new game hits the shelves. The two lay on the couch cuddled up against one another, letting the minutes pass by. Gali's trilling, as she's called it, lulls Karina into resting her eyes, and her steady breathing causing her chest to rise and fall similarly lulls Gali. The only sounds in the room that weren't coming from them were the whirring of Karina's computer and the quiet sounds her headphones were making. It wasn't long before the two of them drifted off to sleep, both happily content with the presence of each other. Though it's likely one of them would wake before the sun would rise, both welcomed any reason to share their body heat with one another.
