"description": "Yeah, that's his full name, no this isn't a profile, just my first design update/experiment that I mention in a short journal post.\n\nLong story short, most of the time I haven't been very happy with how Sam turns out when I draw him, mostly because I tend to use other pictures as references for poses and such, which often leads me to imitate the proportions in said references, leading to him ending up with these really long limbs.\n\nNow, I don't like that look, I find it weird, even if it is technically closer to a realistic body, I like him to be shorter, stockier, and as you can clearly see here, quite bottom heavy. So I'm decided to start trying to adress this, and this is my first attempt. You may be able to spot all the differences yourself, but I'm gonna list them anyways because lists are fun;\n\nShorter, stockier legs\n\nFluffier, more pointed ears with no red visible in them\n\nSheath instead of a human-style dingdong, this may change back, not decided yet\n\nMore pronounced belly and hips, again because I like it, and I can't really nail down the proportions of, well, anything really, but preteen boys especially\n\nSlightly bigger head, again something I struggle a lot with, I'd really like to be able to draw those big headed cubs, but I only ever make it look stupid\n\nBigger forearms and hands more like paws\n\nDrawn back fur instead of the random pattern I've gone with so far, will get more into this when I draw this design from the side and the back\n\nSlightly changed color\n\nAgain, I am not sure how well I'll manage to go forward with this design, but I'll at least try it for a couple of pics.
