One strange characteristic of bears is that they snore pretty loudly. In the middle of the night, Goldilocks was woken up by what sounded like a horn, opening her eyes and trying to sit up in shock. That’s when she realized that she was, in fact, completely bound to the bed and unable to move. She looked to the side and saw Mama bear sleeping, her chest raising and falling, the loud honking sound accompanying each fall. Now she knew the origin of the strange noise, but one question remained: Why was she all tied up? Do the bears want to eat her? And why was she naked? All the unanswered questions put her in panic, she tried to break out of her bounds a bit more, but it was impossible, they were tied too tightly. In her final attempt, she started crying. At first she sobbed quietly, but it got louder and louder over time, until she started screaming. The first scream woke the entire family up, as they jumped in their beds. “Oh no, the guest has woken up! And she’s scared too!” Mama bear said worryingly, trying to calm the girl down by petting her on the head. “Just give her some more tea, that’s ought to calm her down” Came the muffled words of Papa bear, whose face was burrowed in his pillow. He was quite annoyed that he was woken up in the middle of the night, but decided to spare the others from negative comments. “Good idea, I think I’ve still got some in the kettle…” The mother got out of bed and poured the remaining tea into the mug, rushing back to the crying girl. “Come on, drink this! It will help you sleep” She tried to put the mug to her mouth, but she closed it and turned her head away. She didn’t want to sleep, she wanted to go home, or at least escape her restraints. “Oh come on, do you remember how tasty it was? It was sweet like honey, you liked the taste so much, didn’t you?” She tried to convince her to take at least a few sips, which worked. Although drinking was quite awkward in this position, she managed to pour enough down her throat to get her sleeping again. Goldilocks stopped crying soon enough, and fell back asleep quickly. “Phew, that was close… I might have to always keep her kind of hazy, or else she might start screaming again!” She noted as she went back to bed, but the others were already back asleep. It didn’t take much for her to fall asleep again as well, and thankfully they all managed to sleep until the morning. When the bear family woke up, Goldilocks was still soundly sleeping in her bed. Papa bear went out early in the morning to cut firewood, and the cub wandered into the forest to collect berries, mushrooms and anything else he could find. He usually went with his mother, but Mama bear decided to stay at home all day to take care of their guest. When Goldilocks woke up, the sun was already shining, a new kettle of tea boiling above the fire. She looked around and saw mama bear taking a bunch of diapers down from the attic, which were stored up there ever since her son was potty trained and they didn’t need them anymore. “Oh, good morning, dear guest! I almost forgot to ask your name, what do they call you?” She set the diapers down next to the bed, trying to carry a conversation to avoid her screaming up again. “Goldilocks” Came the short reply. “Goldilocks! That’s a beautiful name, I reckon it comes from your beautiful golden hair, doesn’t it?” She asked as she took a diaper and put it on the girl, pinning it together to make sure nothing leaked out. Goldilocks didn’t reply, just nodded, quite surprised by the diaper that was put on her. She hadn’t worn one of those since she was a toddler, but she didn’t complain as it was quite comfortable. “All done! This will help keep the poop and the pee inside so you don’t dirty the bed! Oh wait a second, aren’t you hungry?” She asked as she realized that the girl hadn’t eaten anything since that half spoonful of soup when she arrived at the house. “Yes please” Goldilocks nodded her head, which was accompanied by a rumble of her stomach. “Very well! I’ve mushed some carrots and apples together for you, it’s easy to eat and you don’t have to chew!” She brought a small bowl to the bed with a wooden spoon, which she put to the girl’s mouth. Goldilocks was not used to being fed in such a way, but she reluctantly accepted, and the mush tasted quite good so she opened her mouth for a second load. “Such a good girl! I’m glad to see you have a good appetite!” Mama bear said proudly as the bowl was emptied. “Why don’t we wash it down with some tea?” She poured a bit of the sleeping tea in the mug, although much less than before. She didn’t want her to fall asleep, but that amount was just enough to keep her hazy which prevented her from getting bored and throwing a fit again. “And look! I found this, it’ll make drinking so much easier for you! No more spilling out!” She put a straw into the mug and put it into Goldilocks' mouth. The girl sucked the tea through the straw and started feeling a bit dull and hazy, but didn’t fall asleep. She just put her head back on the pillow and took a rest for a while. “I’m glad you liked your breakfast! One more thing before I let you nap, please tell me if you’ve wetted or dirtied your diaper! Just say pee or poo and I’ll get to you and change your diaper, okay?” She said, to which Goldilocks nodded. “Perfect. Now have a good rest, dear!” She smiled at her, then started making lunch for the family. It hadn’t even been an hour when Mama bear heard a quiet moan from the guest bed. She turned her head and saw Goldilocks looking at her with a guilty expression. “Pee pee…” She muttered, looking down at her diaper which was slightly more puffed and stained yellow. “Oh dear, the first load! Must have been all that tea, let me take care of that for you…” The bear rushed to her and slipped off her stained diaper, replacing it with a brand new one. “Good girl! You should always tell me when you have an accident in your diaper, that way I can replace it quickly and it doesn’t get stinky” She explained, then put the straw back into her mouth. “Drink some more. You need a lot of liquid to heal quickly!” Goldilocks obediently gulped down the soothing tea and started feeling sleepy again. This time Mama bear gave her a little bit too much, and as a result the tea knocked her into a nap. A few hours had passed, the bears had lunch, went back to the forest and the sun was starting to go down when Goldilocks woke back up from her nap. She looked around, and only saw Mama bear in the house, sitting in her rocking chair. Upon looking at her a bit more carefully, she saw that the bear was actually sewing and patching her torn clothes. By then, the calming effect of the tea had started to wear down, so she started worrying again, and also started to feel an uncomfortable, creamy sensation in her diaper, which was also stained yellow again. She tried to wiggle a bit to put herself in a comfortable position, but since it was impossible, she started crying again. The bear was woken up by the loud sobbing, looking to the guest bed worryingly. “What’s wrong, dear?” She asked. “Pee pee… Poo poo…” The girl replied, tears in her eyes. She couldn’t help but feel guilty for soiling herself, because even though she knew that it wasn’t her fault, it meant that Mama bear had to work even more on her. “Ah yes, I see… Let me change that diaper for you again!” She petted the crying girl’s head to try to calm her down a little, and when the sobbing stopped, she took the diaper off. It was not only yellow and soaking with piss, it also had a warm, creamy layer of poop inside as well. “Now that’s a load if I’ve ever seen one! And you seem to have also spread it all over your butt!” She looked at Goldilocks’ butt, and indeed it had quite a bit of poo spread all over it, probably stinging the girl’s sensitive skin. “It would probably be for the best if I gave you a bath… I can’t just put another diaper on you with all that poop creamed all over you!” She said, to which Goldilocks instantly got in a better mood. At home, baths meant that she was put in a bathtub, so if Mama bear was to give her a bath, she would have to finally take her out of her bounds. The bear filled a big trough with water, and put a sponge into it. It was a little small, but she would have fit into it if she really tried- thought Goldilocks. This wasn’t the case however, as Mama bear didn’t even think of loosening her bounds for even a second. She let the sponge soak in a bit of the water, then started scrubbing the girl’s butt and hole with it. Although she was a bit disappointed that she couldn’t leave the bed after all, the sponge and the warm water felt good on her skin, as it cleaned her butt, legs and whatever else that was stained by her accident. She giggled a little bit as some parts were quite ticklish. After finishing the sponge bath, Mama bear dried her guest’s body with a dry towel, then put a new diaper back on her. This was followed by another load of soothing tea, which Goldilocks had gotten quite used to by then. She was completely calm again, and soon enough drifted back to sleep. For days and days, maybe even weeks- Goldilocks had already lost track of time because of all the soothing tea she was given- the girl was taken care of and babied by Mama bear. She changed her diapers, fed her lots of food and washed her diligently, all the while keeping her on the brink of unconsciousness so that she doesn’t wake up too much and throw a fit. While she didn’t really mind taking care of her at all, it had started taking a toll on the family’s life that the mother had to be constantly occupied with the guest. “You know, I think we should let her go. We have taken care of her for so long, asked so many people about her, but nobody seems to know where she lives!” Papa bear told Mama bear one evening at the dinner table. “If we never find where she lives, then I’m going to take care of her until the day I die!” Said the mother angrily, having grown quite close to the girl by then. Goldilocks was like a second child to her, a daughter that she never had until then. Even if taking care of her meant putting a large burden on her, and even her family’s house, the guest was now part of her family, at least until they found a way to safely get her home. “But we need you around the house! You’ve noticed how much less food we have since you can’t come with us to look for food, and in addition, there is another hungry mouth to feed!” He said, trying to be forgiving and patient, but also growing quite frustrated by the stubbornness of Mama bear. “Have we tried asking her if she knows the way back to her house? I mean, we don’t have to let her go on her own, we could just take her there ourselves!” The bear cub suggested, who had been secretly listening to his parents’ quirrel all along. “Hey there little man! How many times have I told you not to listen into the adults’ conversations? But wait a second, that is… That’s not such a bad idea!” The mother replied first angrily, but upon thinking about it, she remembered that they have been so occupied with taking care of the girl that they haven’t even asked her whether she actually knows the way home. “You’re such a clever boy! I’ll wait for the effect of the tea to wear out, then I’ll ask her where she lives. Hopefully she still remembers! I’ve heard of some people losing a bit of their memories after being under the effects of that tea for a prolonged period of time… Which she certainly was.” Goldilocks woke up about two hours later, again with a puffed up and yellow diaper. “Pee pee! Pee pee!” She cried out to Mama bear, who of course rushed to her help right away. Since she had been constantly drinking it for weeks, Goldilocks had gotten quite desensitized to the calming herbs in the tea, so the bear had to make her drink immense amounts at a time, sometimes even an entire kettle of tea if she wanted her to sleep through the night. This of course caused Goldilocks to drink too much liquid, which is why she had to constantly urinate, puffing up her diaper on an almost hourly basis. As Mama bear was changing her diaper, she finally asked the question, surprised at how difficult it actually was to ask it: “Goldilocks, do you actually know the way home? If we carried you home, would you be able to tell where you lived?” She was worried that she doesn’t remember, or remembers wrong, and she also knew that she would miss the girl once she was gone. Still, she tried to collect herself and do what was right. “Yes!” The girl replied enthusiastically. The bears were finally letting her go home! Being tied up in one position for weeks on end put her through immense amounts of discomfort, and she wanted nothing more than to finally go home, even though the bears were very nice to her all the way through. Because of this, she even started feeling a bit of guilt for being so enthusiastic about going home, but she couldn’t control her impulses very well, which was quite understandable after being tied up against her will for what felt like ages. “Well then, today we’ll take you home…” Mama bear said, getting quite emotional. Goldilocks really was a huge weight on her shoulders, but she loved her, and it was hard to accept that she would be on her own from then on, prone to all sorts of dangers from the outside world. Even so, she managed to accept that Goldilocks had to live her own life and couldn’t be tied up all along. After one last meal and one last bath, they waited for the rest of the family to arrive. “I’ve talked to her, we can take her home” Mama bear said to Papa bear who quietly nodded, and even though he didn’t show it, he was quite relieved that they didn’t have to live with a permanent guest anymore. The mother untied Goldilocks’ hands and feet first, then took the big restraints off her torso as well. Even though she tried to clean under them, some pus had managed to grow under the restraints, giving off a repulsive smell. The girl tried to sit up, but her muscles had become incredibly weak from the lack of use. She had also gotten quite fat, her belly so big that one could have thought that she was pregnant. Her lack of strength made her tear up, looking at Mama bear pleadingly. “Oh my, you’ve become so weak that you can’t even get up on your own! Don’t worry now, I can carry you!” She said, gently picking up the girl from the bed and carrying her outside in her arms. “Now tell me where I need to go! You can just point with your finger and I’ll carry you!” She offered. Although Goldilocks’ arms had become really weak and she barely managed to lift them, she could lead the way to her house. Mama bear took her south, through the spiky bushes and the deep forest that she had initially come through. The fresh air and the smell of being outside seemed strange to the girl, sunshine hadn’t even hit her skin since she entered the bears’ house. Due to this, her skin also started to get quite pale, almost white as snow. As they reached the path that meant the end of the forest, Mama bear carefully put Goldilocks back on the ground. Her legs couldn’t even support her at first, as she struggled hard to stand still. She looked up at her caretaker with confusion in her eyes. “I can’t go any further than this, I’m afraid. I can’t let a human see me walking, talking and carrying a girl, because we live our lives in secret. But you know the way from here, don’t you?” She looked down at the girl, getting quite emotional, her voice getting a bit weak at the end. Goldilocks, feeling thankful for all that Mama bear had done to her, gave her a big hug, muttering out a “Thank you” with her face buried deeply in the thick bear fur. “You’re welcome, dear. Now go home before it gets dark!” She sent her guest on her way with tears in her eyes, watching as the girl finally started to remember how to walk, shakily making her way towards her house on her weak legs. To this day, nobody really knows what happened to Goldilocks throughout those weeks, as they don’t believe her that she was in fact taken care of by a friendly family of bears. She was in quite good shape for someone who had been lost in the forest for such a long time, but nobody lives there who could have taken care of her. Her clothes were also clean and at some places even stitched up from all the tears it got in the deep bush. But even though no one could really explain what happened to her, all that mattered was that she got home safely, and she was healthy.
