A Gogoat and Zoroark isn’t a couple that one would normally see or expect; but nonetheless those were what her parents were. But even if such a pairing WERE normal, he most certainly was not. Yes, [u]he.[/u] Ażula was born a male-herm, and did not gain breasts or true feminine attributes until he evolved, at the age of 29, after an intense series of battles alongside his future mate White Tatsu. But that, and the story of his childhood and young adult life, is a story for another day. For now, we start after the battle against Primal Dialga. (For more on this battle, see [url=http://www.furaffinity.net/user/white-lucario]White-Lucario[/url]’s [url=http://www.f-list.net/c/white%20tatsu]f-list profile[/url], when they get around to writing HER backstory) Ażula and the rest of the team save White had been soundly knocked out; Ażula’s weakness being his near-complete lack of ranged attacks that actually did anything. Yes, he did know ranged moves, but he had adapted them, molded them to be physical moves. He could still use their natural forms, but they dealt next to no damage, thanks to a certain condition he was born with thanks to his ancestry… He had an extreme physical natural talent when it came to the training his body (the equivalent of Earned Values, able to acquire the equivalent of 1530 as opposed to the normal 510; and with no arbitrary caps of 255 on any one stat); and was born with a ‘perfect’ body (IVs). Why the quotation marks? Well, he has a genetic inaptitude for special/ranged attacks (SP. ATK); the parts of his physique that would normally hone such things going to other parts of his body, namely his arms (strength/ATK) and legs (SPD). [i]See the bottom of the story for statistic calculation.[/i] And, her evolution just after the overwhelming battle did nothing to change that fact. It merely changed the Dark-type’s gender; the massive surge of hormones that came with evolution reshaping the formerly male-herm’s body into that of a true hermaphrodite, capable of caring for and feeding children; her evolved form treated by nature like an actual adult; whereas the Zorua body he’d had up until he was 29 was short and youthful, looking no older than 19.\n\nWith the decision to try and somehow acquire more strength, better power, in order to protect herself and her friends, she decided to take up the family business: Archaeology. Old civilizations that were long since dead always had a way of innovating new things that the rest of the never world got to see; their secrets dying with them until they were dug up. And the secrets came in all forms! Ancient electrical circuits; ways or preserving paper far longer than modern techniques could; among all sorts of other incredible feats. So, at least one buried culture [b]must[/b] have combat innovative techniques useable by her, right?! That was how she reasoned it out at least. Over the next few weeks, she used the fortune and contacts at her disposal to gen in contact with colleagues her mother and father had worked with in their days digging up the past… Quickly, she assembled a team of bright-eyed young archaeologists; and set off across the world… The blue-haired Zoroark’s quest led them all over. Starting with the forgotten, buried ruins in the fertile crescent of what was once Mesopotamia; they worked outwards in concentric circles to different sites for over a decade and a half… Throughout their many finds and adventures,[sup][1][/sup] Ażula and her companions made many discoveries; including finding the Tower of Babel, stumbling across the Cerberus-guarded gate to the Grecian underworld, wandering into the ruins of Scholomance, swimming into the lost city of Ys and the sunken island of Thuvaraiyam Pathi, unearthing the tombs of both Nefertiti and Alexander the Great (among others), and acquiring a myriad of lost technologies and techniques… But none were what Ażula was searching for… That was, not until the expedition team reached Norway.\n\nWell, not [i]precisely[/i] Norway… It was a group of islands far to the north of the mainland; the Svalbard islands. Specifically, the southernmost isle of the archipelago, Bjørnøya; colloquially known as ‘Bear Island’. It was a small island, less than 70 square miles across. Between the two mountains on the island; Skuld and Urd; a previously unseen tunnel had recently been discovered. The area had been well-explored before however; as the area had been used for coal mining in the past. As such, the sudden appearance of the cave opening was mysterious, and almost seemed magical in nature. Given the reputation that Ażula’s team had garnered working with mystical artifacts in the past; and that the Arktändr family had contacts on the mainland of the country; due to it being Adonis’s (his father) country of birth. It took a few days to reach the island from where the group (currently consisting of Ażula, a male Gardevoir by the name of Feldspar, a male Goodra named D’Eon, and a female Lucario who went by Coeur) was, but once there, they immediately went for the site… Only to find that things had become much stranger… A yellow, glowing, hemispherical dome of an energy barrier had appeared over the cave opening, lines of Nordic and Celtic runes swirling above the surface. Finding the barrier to be physically impassable; they set to work decoding the runes. Given the fact that said runes were mobile, it was a hard task to accomplish. But with the help of cameras, they soon decoded the runes. Most of the lines seemed to be warnings, saying the end of days was nigh, that Ragnarok has passed. The useful ones, however, outlined a series of chemical formulas; which when combined, created a fluid ‘key’ of sorts. Once the necessary materials had been gathered and combined, all that needed to be done was to pour it on the barrier. Doing so made it dissolve as if it was a normal object submerged in hydrochloric acid.\n\nThe compound created to dissolve the barrier had hitherto unseen; so after calling in to a scientist friend to tell them about the fluid; the team ventured into the depths. After what felt like miles upon miles of walking, the quartet came across a large cavern… A cavern, which was open to the night sky. “…But that’s impossible!” exclaimed D’Eon, looking up, and placing a hand above his eyes. “With how far we’ve gone, we should be under the Barents Sea right now… Not to mention that we entered the cave just before midday. There’s no way it can be night yet!”\n\nHearing this, Feldspar smirks and shakes his head. “Really? You’re surprised by something like this? After all we’ve been through, all we’ve seen? You really are hopelessly incorrigible sometimes~” The Embrace Pokémon taunts in a lilting tone, before swiftly stepping forwards, looking about. “Besides, it’s twilight, not nighttime. See those shades of red and violet on the east edge of the sky? …But, this [i]is[/i] strange. Usually you can FEEL when you pass through a dimensional barrier or a teleportation matrix, or whatever just happened… Hm?” That said, the Gardevoir floated towards the right wall of the cavern, seeing an inscription there.\n\nAs Feldspar went off, the rest of the party split off, looking at different places around the cavern. Coeur, of course, being the incredible acrobat that she was, leaped up a series of boulders to get as close to the opening of the cavern; her canine nose twitching. “We’re definitely not on Bear Island anymore. It smells completely different… Smells more like the southern plains of Norway, but there’s also an intense smell of ash and smoke… Sulphur, too. And a lot of a smells even [i]I[/i] can’t identify. Heh, never thought I’d see the day…” she muses, before sitting down cross-legged, looking to be deep in thought as she does so. “But… There IS one scent that I don’t recognize, but is incredibly familiar. What IS that…”\n\nD’Eon glared daggers after Feldspar for his teasing, glowering lightly before walking towards a large group of flat-looking boulders. “[sub]Rmmf. You only say things like that because you know I can’t do anything to you. Damn Fairy-type bastard…[/sub]” Upon reaching them, he reaches out to touch them, blinking as his slime-covered paw brushes across them. “…Huh? These feel strangely warm.” Pulling his hand down, dragging it across the surface, it came away covered in soot; his slime having picked up the thick ash with ease; and revealing what looked to be ethereal rainbow glass. “…Wait, this CAN’T be... Norway, rainbow glass, rune magic. You don’t think that we’re in-”\n\nAżula, for her part, was standing in front of a large, flat-faced stone; her eyes wide, and pupils mere dots on her eyes. Her irises were absent from her eyes; using a little illusion on herself to make her evident surprise that much more intense. Her jaw was hanging open, as she stared at a pedestal in front of her, topped with a cracked and broken blunt weapon. Speaking loudly, she interrupted D’Eon “’Here lies the Alföðr Þórr, greatest of the Æsir; son of Óðinn, son of Bur, son of Búri. So we can limit her casual movement speed at a tenth that, Mach 1.1.\nIn the series, Machoke has been shown to lift boulders that look to have a 7-foot diameter. Judging by color, they appear to be sandstone. So, (4/3)π(3.5)3 x 145 equals… around 13.02 tons. Assuming minmaxed level 50 or non-minmaxed 100 (Machoke wasn’t showing an extreme amount of exertion)… 156 lbs. per stat point. Multiply that by 485. That means Ażula’s maximum strength clocks in at approximately 37.8 US tons. Size of a fist is 1/25th of height tall by 4/75ths wide. Ażula’s fist is 82.79 square inches. Lifting strength is both arms, so 18.9 tons per arm. 18.9 tons over 82.79… Ażula has a punching force of approximately 456.7 psi.\n\nBut that all seems ridiculous; so I divided speed by 25 and power by 35 to make it more reasonable. Ażula was relatively normal young Zorua in her early life; aside from her slightly abnormal parentage.  A Gogoat and Zoroark isn’t a couple that one would normally see or expect; but nonetheless those were what her parents were.  But even if such a pairing WERE normal, he most certainly was not.  Yes, he.  Ażula was born a male-herm, and did not gain breasts or true feminine attributes until he evolved, at the age of 29, after an intense series of battles alongside his future mate White Tatsu.  But that, and the story of his childhood and young adult life, is a story for another day.  For now, we start after the battle against Primal Dialga. (For more on this battle, see White-Lucario’s f-list profile, when they get around to writing HER backstory)  Ażula and the rest of the team save White had been soundly knocked out; Ażula’s weakness being his near-complete lack of ranged attacks that actually did anything.  Yes, he did know ranged moves, but he had adapted them, molded them to be physical moves.  He could still use their natural forms, but they dealt next to no damage, thanks to a certain condition he was born with thanks to his ancestry…  He had an extreme physical natural talent when it came to the training his body (the equivalent of Earned Values, able to acquire the equivalent of 1530 as opposed to the normal 510; and with no arbitrary caps of 255 on any one stat); and was born with a ‘perfect’ body (IVs).  Why the quotation marks?  Well, he has a genetic inaptitude for special/ranged attacks (SP. ATK); the parts of his physique that would normally hone such things going to other parts of his body, namely his arms (strength/ATK) and legs (SPD). See the bottom of the story for statistic calculation.  And, her evolution just after the overwhelming battle did nothing to change that fact.  It merely changed the Dark-type’s gender; the massive surge of hormones that came with evolution reshaping the formerly male-herm’s body into that of a true hermaphrodite, capable of caring for and feeding children; her evolved form treated by nature like an actual adult; whereas the Zorua body he’d had up until he was 29 was short and youthful, looking no older than 19.

With the decision to try and somehow acquire more strength, better power, in order to protect herself and her friends, she decided to take up the family business: Archaeology.  Old civilizations that were long since dead always had a way of innovating new things that the rest of the never world got to see; their secrets dying with them until they were dug up.  And the secrets came in all forms!  Ancient electrical circuits; ways or preserving paper far longer than modern techniques could; among all sorts of other incredible feats.  So, at least one buried culture must have combat innovative techniques useable by her, right?!  That was how she reasoned it out at least.  Over the next few weeks, she used the fortune and contacts at her disposal to gen in contact with colleagues her mother and father had worked with in their days digging up the past…  Quickly, she assembled a team of bright-eyed young archaeologists; and set off across the world…  The blue-haired Zoroark’s quest led them all over.  Starting with the forgotten, buried ruins in the fertile crescent of what was once Mesopotamia; they worked outwards in concentric circles to different sites for over a decade and a half…  Throughout their many finds and adventures,[sup][1][/sup] Ażula and her companions made many discoveries; including finding the Tower of Babel, stumbling across the Cerberus-guarded gate to the Grecian underworld, wandering into the ruins of Scholomance, swimming into the lost city of Ys and the sunken island of Thuvaraiyam Pathi, unearthing the tombs of both Nefertiti and Alexander the Great (among others), and acquiring a myriad of lost technologies and techniques…  But none were what Ażula was searching for…  That was, not until the expedition team reached Norway.

Well, not precisely Norway…  It was a group of islands far to the north of the mainland; the Svalbard islands. Specifically, the southernmost isle of the archipelago, Bjørnøya; colloquially known as ‘Bear Island’.  It was a small island, less than 70 square miles across.  Between the two mountains on the island; Skuld and Urd; a previously unseen tunnel had recently been discovered.  The area had been well-explored before however; as the area had been used for coal mining in the past.  As such, the sudden appearance of the cave opening was mysterious, and almost seemed magical in nature.  Given the reputation that Ażula’s team had garnered working with mystical artifacts in the past; and that the Arktändr family had contacts on the mainland of the country; due to it being Adonis’s (his father) country of birth.  It took a few days to reach the island from where the group (currently consisting of Ażula, a male Gardevoir by the name of Feldspar, a male Goodra named D’Eon, and a female Lucario who went by Coeur) was, but once there, they immediately went for the site…  Only to find that things had become much stranger…  A yellow, glowing, hemispherical dome of an energy barrier had appeared over the cave opening, lines of Nordic and Celtic runes swirling above the surface.  Finding the barrier to be physically impassable; they set to work decoding the runes.  Given the fact that said runes were mobile, it was a hard task to accomplish.  But with the help of cameras, they soon decoded the runes.  Most of the lines seemed to be warnings, saying the end of days was nigh, that Ragnarok has passed.  The useful ones, however, outlined a series of chemical formulas; which when combined, created a fluid ‘key’ of sorts.  Once the necessary materials had been gathered and combined, all that needed to be done was to pour it on the barrier.  Doing so made it dissolve as if it was a normal object submerged in hydrochloric acid.

The compound created to dissolve the barrier had hitherto unseen; so after calling in to a scientist friend to tell them about the fluid; the team ventured into the depths.  After what felt like miles upon miles of walking, the quartet came across a large cavern…  A cavern, which was open to the night sky.  “…But that’s impossible!” exclaimed D’Eon, looking up, and placing a hand above his eyes.  “With how far we’ve gone, we should be under the Barents Sea right now…  Not to mention that we entered the cave just before midday.  There’s no way it can be night yet!”

Hearing this, Feldspar smirks and shakes his head.  “Really?  You’re surprised by something like this?  After all we’ve been through, all we’ve seen?  You really are hopelessly incorrigible sometimes~” The Embrace Pokémon taunts in a lilting tone, before swiftly stepping forwards, looking about.  “Besides, it’s twilight, not nighttime.  See those shades of red and violet on the east edge of the sky? …But, this is strange.  Usually you can FEEL when you pass through a dimensional barrier or a teleportation matrix, or whatever just happened… Hm?”  That said, the Gardevoir floated towards the right wall of the cavern, seeing an inscription there.

As Feldspar went off, the rest of the party split off, looking at different places around the cavern.  Coeur, of course, being the incredible acrobat that she was, leaped up a series of boulders to get as close to the opening of the cavern; her canine nose twitching. “We’re definitely not on Bear Island anymore.  It smells completely different…  Smells more like the southern plains of Norway, but there’s also an intense smell of ash and smoke…  Sulphur, too.  And a lot of a smells even I can’t identify.  Heh, never thought I’d see the day…” she muses, before sitting down cross-legged, looking to be deep in thought as she does so. “But…  There IS one scent that I don’t recognize, but is incredibly familiar.  What IS that…”

D’Eon glared daggers after Feldspar for his teasing, glowering lightly before walking towards a large group of flat-looking boulders. “[sub]Rmmf.  You only say things like that because you know I can’t do anything to you.  Damn Fairy-type bastard…[/sub]”  Upon reaching them, he reaches out to touch them, blinking as his slime-covered paw brushes across them. “…Huh?  These feel strangely warm.” Pulling his hand down, dragging it across the surface, it came away covered in soot; his slime having picked up the thick ash with ease; and revealing what looked to be ethereal rainbow glass. “…Wait, this CAN’T be...  Norway, rainbow glass, rune magic.  You don’t think that we’re in-”

Ażula, for her part, was standing in front of a large, flat-faced stone; her eyes wide, and pupils mere dots on her eyes.  Her irises were absent from her eyes; using a little illusion on herself to make her evident surprise that much more intense.  Her jaw was hanging open, as she stared at a pedestal in front of her, topped with a cracked and broken blunt weapon. Speaking loudly, she interrupted D’Eon “’Here lies the Alföðr Þórr, greatest of the Æsir; son of Óðinn, son of Bur, son of Búri.  May his soul find peace for his many great deeds.’”  Looking up at the sky of the Realm, she softly added “[sub]I can’t believe it…[/sub] Looks like we’re not in Kansas anymore, huh? ”

Explanation of Speed and strength:
Mach 2 entry on Pidgeot is from the anime, which was with Gen I rules.  And it happened relatively early on in the series...  So, if we assume that means ALL Pidgeot, not minmaxed ones...
Speed at level 36 is around 100 exactly.  So, FOURTEEN mph per stat point
14 * 558 equals… Mach 11.16.  Of course, like with anything involving speed, she would need QUITE the run-up to reach that speed.  So we can limit her casual movement speed at a tenth that, Mach 1.1.
In the series, Machoke has been shown to lift boulders that look to have a 7-foot diameter. Judging by color, they appear to be sandstone.  So, (4/3)π(3.5)3 x 145 equals… around 13.02 tons.  Assuming minmaxed level 50 or non-minmaxed 100 (Machoke wasn’t showing an extreme amount of exertion)… 156 lbs. per stat point. Multiply that by 485.  That means Ażula’s maximum strength clocks in at approximately 37.8 US tons. Size of a fist is 1/25th of height tall by 4/75ths wide. Ażula’s fist is 82.79 square inches.  Lifting strength is both arms, so 18.9 tons per arm.  18.9 tons over 82.79…  Ażula has a punching force of approximately 456.7 psi.

But that all seems ridiculous; so I divided speed by 25 and power by 35 to make it more reasonable. So, max speed of 312.48 mph. Strength of ~1.08 tons, and a punching strength of ~13.04 psi.
