"writing": "Chapter 70: Into The Night II.\n\nFernando manages to pick up flight past the lamp posts’ lighting and continues to the nearest house, gaining more height from its roof and onto a higher flight path. He could have flapped his wings a bit more but it would have been slow in gaining much needed height, and along with height he needed thrust for speed as well. Thus he was able to go past the main avenue a couple of blocks away faster than the fastest land animals could have ran it. But where he as going remained to be seen.\n\nAs Grandmother walks out the house with Dr. Leary and Mrs. Gonzalez, seeing Mayor Cuadrado and Senator Mendez serving the guests, there were an adult pair of Red Foxes with two younger foxes, Edward and Edna, waiting by the gate. Mayor Cuadrado and Senator Mendez turn to face them and see what is going on.\n\n“Excuse me, Señora.” The male fox calls to Grandmother. She turns to face him, putting her hands on the gate. She looks at him, his wife and the kits for a second. Senator Mendez steps in between them for the moment. He looks at the senator and the mayor behind her before continuing, “Explain why my children were brought home by the police and why we have to come here tomorrow?”\n\nGrandmother turns to her friend, the Senator Olga Mendez, and points to him. Senator Mendez explains to him what had happened, “Your children and others acted on confronting an innocent person of a crime he did not commit. In fact one of that group they were with attacked him. They are to come here to answer questions as to what happened and why. It is that simple.”\n\n“They can’t go. They have school tomorrow.” The father tells them.\n\nMayor Cuadrado steps up to the gate, “Actually sir, school is cancelled for the week as an investigation is going on, but you are not to know that. I will mention on the news in about an hour that school is cancelled for the week but not the reason why. Consider it as an extended vacation while the schools are being prepared for the year. Either way, your children are to report here to answer questions as to what happened here tonight.”\n\n“Edward. Did you or Edna attacked this person accused of a crime?” the father tells him sternly.\n\n“No father...” Edward says nervously.\n\nGrandmother leans over the gate to him, telling him in English, “Your chidren may be innocent in all this, but they are hanging out with the wrong friends. Friends who hunted down my grandson for crime he did not commit, and assaulted him. Now he is missing. Your children may not have done anything in all this but they were part of it. They need to learn that hanging out with the wrong people will get them in trouble. And this is the only time you will hear me speak English. Go to school and learn proper Spanish for I am not your Señorita and I’m not sharing in your cheese.”\n\nThe father looks at her with an expression between anger and surprise. The mother leans over to them, “I’ll be there with the children to clear their names.”\n\nGrandmother nods before opening the gate, stepping out with Dr. Leary and Mrs. Gonzalez. She points to them to go to the table for them to work on. Edna and Edward’s father walk over to Dr. Leary thinking she could be Fernando’s mother. \n\n“Excuse me, Miss.” He begins to say as he pretends to get a plate of food, “I don’t know what happened to your son but my children were not part of it.”\n\nDr. Leary looks at him for a second, reaching into her pocket and takes out her hospital identification. She shows it to him as she explains, “I’m not the missing child’s mother. I am his doctor. He has a medical condition that requires me to be near by. Now he’s missing, and your children, even though they may have done nothing, were part of the group that hunted him down for a crime he is not capable of doing. So tell me what are we going to do? Better yet, what is going to happen to everyone if he is found hurt or dead? If they were hunting him, so must others. So excuse me in saying this, they need to go home, make calls to their friends and tell them the truth to stop this hunt of an innocent person before more people get hurt. So let me throw this at you, how would you like it if your son was accused of raping yout daughter even though it never happened, and your son is being hunted by a bunch of crazed people who want revenge against a rapist for they do not care about his innocence but want to hang somebody. That is what happened to this boy, and a lot more people are going to get hurt before it is over. And your children, even though they did nothing, were part of that group.”\n\nThe father could only look at Dr. Leary for the moment. Then he looks down at the table of food before giving a reply, “I’m sorry.”\n\n“That’s all good but you are not to apologize to me. Your children need to apologize to him if and when he is found. Until then you need to talk to your children about being in groups that gets angry and goes out to hunt down others whether they are innocent or not. Following such a group will get them into more trouble than it is worth, and you as a parent will have to make some harsh decisions about your children. Decisions I as a doctor do not want to see you do.” Dr. Leary tells him.\n\nHe looks at her for the moment, then nods.\n\n“If it make you feel better, I do not want anybody to be punished, except for the one who assaulted the boy. Thus it is imperative that your children with the others come tomorrow in order to say what happened and why. That would clear them of any possible wrong doing.” D. Leary tells him, “Now, what would you like, Roast Beast, maybe some Gallus Fingers and Legs or perhaps a drink?”\n\n“No, but thank you. I need to have to talk to my children about a few things.” The father says, before stepping away from the table.\n\n“Before you go...” Dr. Leary tells him, making him stop in his tracks for the moment and face her. She continues, “This party is still for everyone, especially since you have set up a table to join this party, you and your family should not be excluded.”\n\n“I’ll keep an open mind to the situation, I do not my children in any more trouble then they are already in.” He tells her before walking away.\n\nAnother half hour before Mayor Cuadrado’s announcement, things seem to continuing from before the incident, minus a few participants. The girls of Fernando’s group seem to have been searching for him in tiny areas to keep them close to the party. In light of the situation she was having, Wandaline has hid herself from everyone though she was hiding in plain sight, not just where she was expected to be.\n\nFernando somehow made his way to the roof of the Pouncefeild mall where he has landed and looks out of the edge towards the school ahead and the park towards his right as he leans and puts his arms on the building’s façade. He does not see the bright flash that was behind him.\n\n“You look really worried, mister.” A tiny voice asks.\n\nFernando does not answer nor pays attention to it until someone starts to tug on his pants leg. He stands up and looks down at what was going on, absentmindedly responding, “You mind?!!”\n\n“Actually I don’t.” A little squirrel girl looks up at him. She dressed in a pink and white frilly and lacey dress with a big bow tied on the back. Pulling at the side of pants, she stand up on the tip toes of her bear feet looking up at him, “You don’t recognize me?”\n\n“It cant be you.” Fernando says to her.\n\nShe lets go of him, getting on the flat of her feet before taking a step back, lifting the dress up to her waist and almost complains, “Mom should have given me tights and shoes, but at least I have on my Wednesday panties you liked so much.”\n\nFernando lets out a sigh in disbelief of what was going on.\n\n“If it is you, prove it.” Fernando asks.\n\n“I cant prove nothing, not to you. Even if I were to prove that I was Rosita as you knew me, you would not still believe me.” She tell him, with a pause before adding, “The Rosita you knew was highly in love with you. I still am for I watch you from the other side almost all the time.” She lets out a sigh before putting down her dress and dusts herself off before looking up at him, “Look. If you were to go to my grave and dig up my coffin, you will find my bones still in this dress and underwear. Somethings do not change, but the almighty wants things done in a certain way. And frankly Fernando, some of us are worried about you up there.”\n\n“Some of us?” Fernando asks.\n\n“Daisy is there worried about you. The Mendez boys worry about you. People you never met worry about you.” She explains.\n\n“Daisy...” Fernando begins to say but was interrupted.\n\n“Daisy died in her home in that building fire. The reason she and some others were never found was because the fire flared to a couple thousand degrees and they were burned to ashes. But to ease you mind she was already dead from breathing poisoned air the fire created while in her sleep. And she is there with me and many others.” She continues.\n\nHe looks at her almost not believing what he was hearing. \n\n“Look. Fernando. In the next few days you will be tested and you will take action that will get others hurt. That will get you in trouble which we do not want to see happen. We do not want you to act in such a way that will get others hurt. Even if they hit you, stay hit. Let others deal with them for assaulting a blind kid.” She tells him.\n\n“How about telling me who it is and I’ll just avoid them.” Fernando tells her.\n\n“That will not work, not ever. Look. I, we need you to tone down you anger. And I’m given the power to make sure it happens.” She tells him.\n\n“Like what can you...” Fernando tells her but suddenly bends down, pressing his fists to his temples, holding back the urge to scream as he gets on his knees. Blood begins to drip out slowly from his nose.\n\nShe stands with her left fist to her hip and her right index finger pointed to his forehead with a bright beam of light from her finger hitting him there, “What Wandaline fixed in there I have now undone and activated it with a force you have yet experienced while keeping you awake to make sure you feel it. I love you, Fernando, I do not want to hurt you, but I will do what I must to make you safe.”\n\n“That was not nice, Rosita.”A booming voice can be heard echoing through their immediate area. It makes her stop in her actions.\n\n“He needs to learn that his actions can get him in to a lot of trouble.” She looks up and answers.\n\n“He has Free-Will like everyone else. You can not force him into taking actions he would normally not take. You can not smite him for doing what he does best.” The booming voice tells her.\n\n“At the rate he is going he is going to kill somebody!” She answers back. \n\n“I will not smite him for acting in self defense. I can smite you for your actions.” The booming voice tells her.\n\n“No!” Fernando lets out as he breathes heavy.\n\n“No?” The booming voice asks almost in surprise. It continues, “You are nothing but dust my dear boy. You can not stop me or tell me on what to do.”\n\n“The god I believe in is a forgiving god, not a vengeful one. I forgive her who ever she is for what she did, you have to forgive her as I did.” Fernando tells him. \n\n“Who ever she is. You don’t believe that this is Rosita, the girl you used to do things with short of sex. You do not know that she broke a lot of rules to get to you because she cares that much for you. If you don’t believe who she is, you cant believe who I am.” The booming voice says.\n\n“Blind Faith.” Fernando lets out, “Blind Faith in believing who god is and can do. But no, I can not believe that you could be him for you could be somebody else – an angel, a demon, the devil himself. But I believe that there is a god and he is a forgiving god when asked for forgiveness. He is a righteous god, helping those in correcting the wrongs that fills this world. And that I am but a tool for him when he needs me to do. But until then I believe without needing proof of who he is. But as a representitive thereof I need proof from you. And absolute proof, not an illusion to trick me.”\n\n“Interesting. And what proof would this be?” The booming voice asks.\n\n“The difference between good and evil, if all other things involved with them are equal.” Fernando asks.\n\n“Too simple.” The booming voice almost laughs, “The difference is I, good, would not force you, trick you or otherwise demand you to make a decision for an action that could upset the balance between good and evil. You are to act on what you believe is right. Free Will protects that. But you need to know the difference. You can not make a proper decision when you are forced or tricked into making that decision. Thus you are forgiven.”\n\n“You’re right, it’s too simple. How about...” Fernando begins.\n\n“No. You can not know the secrets of the universe, see the big bang or travel across time. And don’t ask why either.” The Booming voice interrupts him.\n\n“Too bad. I’ll just have to figure out myself then.” Fernando says.\n\n“And you’ll get close like everyone else and that’s all.” The booming voice replies.\n\n“Then so be it. Now, you going to forgive her?” Fernando says and asks.\n\nThere was nothing but total silenc in the area, not even the static in the ears that is always there can’t be heard. After a much longer than necessary moment had past, the booming voice answers, “No.”\n\n“No. Because she has to ask for forgiveness before it can be given. OK.” Fernando says, then turns to the girl, “Well?”\n\n“It can only be asked where I came from.” She answers.\n\n“Because if such an action is witnessed by a mortal, the almightly has to abide by it for eternity.” Fernando explains to himself.\n\n“Only in this world, but yes. And people say you’re so smart that you’re dumb.” The booming voice says.\n\n“I don’t care about what others think of me unless they take such thoughts and put them into violent actions against me. Then I...” Fernando begins to explain before being interrupted.\n\n“Then you take action against those who take such actions against you. We know that as we witnessed you taking such actions when needed. “The booming voice interrupts him.\n\n“Then how about that apology and forgiving routine. All I can say is that she meant well for my wellbeing, and that says a lot because you would not unless it is for something you want done. Now outside of the rules that binds you to the agreements of man, I see nothing that would force you to an eternity of agreeing with man though forgiving is forever for that one time it is done, as it has to be done all the time.” Fernando tries to explain.\n\n“Such arrogence equals that of Michaelangelo.” The booming voice replies.\n\n“Then if she apologizes, is she forgiven?” Fernando asks.\n\n“Forgiven? Yes. But unpunished, no.” The booming answers.\n\n“Its unfair to send her to hell for what little she did.” Fernando argues back.\n\n“Who says anything about sending anyone to the Eternal Torment of Inferno?” The booming voice begins, “She is so concerned with your wellbeing that she would give up what she has for you. Perhaps I made Love too strong, but it was to be so for all to understand that you are nothing alone. So for one year, she will be restored as if she never died with changes in her life to accommodate the here and now to be here with you, and after that remains to be seen.”\n\n“It would be unfair to do send her back like this. She has no place to live, she is too young to act on her own. Things can not, will not be possible for her in this world.” Fernando tells the skies above.\n\nFrom the darkest point of eternity above a bright shaft falls onto the girl, enveloping her, coursing through her, changing her. Where there was a girl of about eight years of age, now is just a girl his age but a bit shorter than he. What she wore, adjusted to her new shape and size. Though the transformation looked painful, it wasn’t.\n\nAt the same time the booming voice replies, “Everything will be arranged for her. What she needs will be given to her. What she wants will depend if it can be given. And you are not going to question what has happened or what will happen. Modifications will be needed to fit her into the world again. So she will be your sister for as everyone is concerned, your younger twin sister: Rosita G. Don’t make me make you forget why things have happened so she can be here. As it is, I have to erase her universal knowledge as needed for it is a danger to all of you for her to have, as others will know who she is and not what is she here.”\n\nSilence follows the ends of the light show. The night slowly returns to the darkness they were in, as does what nightlife Pouncefeild has.\n\nRosita looks at him for a moment before saying, “Hi, Fernando.”\n\nHe sighs before asking, “How much you remember?”\n\n“A lot more than I should, I think.” She answers.\n\n“How do you feel?” He asks.\n\n“I don’t know. Like I should be?” She answers, as she pulls on a flap of skin on her arm.\n\n“As my twin, you should be a flying squirrel too. That’s part of your wings.” Fernando explains. He thinks for a moment. “Uhm... what about...” He begins to ask.\n\n“You and sex with Rachel and the others?” Rosita asks.\n\nFernando looks at the floor and nods.\n\n“If my brother is having sex with all those girls, including his adopted little sister, then he should continue it. But he also has to love me as he does the others, especially Rachel, if not more so. For I am now a part of you as you are a part of me.” She explains, making him to look up at her.\n\n“What about the others? I mean, their memories. As far as I remember, you lived, died and are brought back as a punishment from the almighty himself. What will they remember?” Fernando asks.\n\n“They will remember that I never died and am part of your family as your twin sister.” She explains.\n\n“How we going to get you home? I mean, without shoes and things.” Fernando asks.\n\nThey both look down at her bare feet. Next to her was a shoe box that was not there before. She bends down and picks it up. Getting up she hands the box for Fernando to hold before opening it. She pulls out a slightly scuffed up but well pampered MaryJane shoe with a white sweat sock in it. She takes the other and leans back against the building’s façade to put them on, folding the sox down around her ankles to a poofy squared ring. They look at her feet as she gets off the short building wall. She looks up at him as he looks at her feet.\n\n“Hey.” Rosita calls to him.\n\nHe looks up at her, “Huh?”\n\n“It’s getting late. We should go home.” She tells him.\n\n“I don’t want to go home.”Fernando tells her.\n\n“Grandma is going to get mad if you don’t. She’s worried about you as it is.” Rosita tells him.\n\n“I will go in a few minutes. Right now I want to be left alone.” He tells her.\n\n“Alone with me?” She asks.\n\n“I would prefer alone, alone. But if I’m going to have a sister who is constantly on my back like Rachel is, I have little choice in the matter, now do I?” He explains.\n\n“I can respect your privacy but I need your help now.” She says.\n\n“Help? As in?” Fernando asks.\n\n“Getting home. Being accepted in a home. Being a sister again, though to you this time. And to Rachel and Jorge. Well Jorgina-Daisy, JD.” Rosita answers, pausing for a second, “I hope you don’t expect me to be giving it up to you all the time like Rachel does for you.”\n\n“I do not want you to do anything you do not want to do.” He tells her.\n\n“And you are not going to force me to do anything I would not like to do?” She asks.\n\n“Never, not to you.” He answers.\n\n“God. You’re going to a boring brother.” Rosita says to herself.\n\n“Huh?” Fernando asks.\n\n“There should be some conflict in our lives, Fernando. Without some conflicts, it going to be boring.” She tells him.\n\n“I’m not going to hold you down and rape you. I’m not like that, especially those I’m supposed to love.” He explains. Rosita leans over to him and kiss him on the nose before taking a step back for a moment. He looks up at her, “What was that for?”\n\n“Look. In this ‘Vita Nova’ for me, we are not going to agree on everything. As your sister I might pull that string on you – me or them. As my brother you might pull that string on me.” Rosita begins.\n\n“I would not do that to you, like I have not done it with the others.” Fernando tells her.\n\n“I’m just saying. We are not going to agree on everything.” She tells him.\n\n“And we will deal with it when we get there. But I have to say, why are you doing this now? You only got a year to be with me. Why waste it on worthless bickering about things yet to happen?” He tells her, continuing, “I’m not going to force you to do anything you do not want to do, but that means I might make things too easy for you because of what little time we have together, what time you have with everyone. Soon school will start and vacations will soon come with Winter. Then Spring and then Summer again. Its not a lot of time for you to have. Not any one of us to have. So excuse me, Rosita, for I will do what I can for you and in doing so, maybe spoil you like I do the others, maybe more so. But in the end I do not want to lose you again.”\n\nIt takes a moment for the words’ meanings to hit her, and does so hard. She does not realize that tears were flowing as she steps up to him and gives him a hug. “You are not going to lose me, not again.” she whispers in his ear.\n\n“Until that time comes, not if we can help it.” a voice says loud enough at the other end of the roof.\n\nFernando pushes Rosita off him before turning around, “Wandaline?”\n\n“She’s not alone.” The sound of her mother’s voice can be heard getting closer. They finally get within visual distance to them and stop a couple of feet away.\n\n“How much of this you both saw?” Fernando asks as if on the defensive.\n\n“You need to relax, Fernando.” Mrs. Gonzalez tells him, “We are not here to do anything but protect you both. Remember what the Creator said, ‘others will know who she is and not what is she here.’ We know because of our knowledge of the field we dwelve in.”\n\n“And we were the only ones who saw the light show and decided to investigate.” Wandaline adds.\n\n“Now that you are back and for the short time you have, things are going to get interesting.” Mrs. Gonzalez says out load but almost to herself.\n\n“I’ll take what help I need when its needed. Right now I need some time with...” Fernando begins to say as he reaches behind him and takes Rosita’s hand, keeping her in place behind him.\n\n“Your sister?” Mrs. Gonzalez asks, then says, “You will have that time, but Wandaline will stay with you both, for now.”\n\nBefore Fernando could say anything, Mrs. Gonzalez disappears in a flash of light.\n\n“So...” Wanadaline begins, “How does it feel to be back from the dead? How was heaven?”\n\n“I can’t tell you because I don’t remember.” Rosita tells her.\n\n“Those memories were erased from her, so she don’t know.” Fernando tells her sternly.\n\n“I figured as much. The creator does not put people back on this world with those memories intact.” Wandaline replies.\n\n“So why ask if you knew?” Fernando asks in an annoyed tone.\n\n“Just checking.” Wandaline answers.\n\n“Look Wandaline. I don’t know that the problem is, but I did not go do those things you did to me today. So right now I am still angry with you, which I will say that you and I will deal with our differences another time, but for now I want to be left alone with Rosita. So go home.” Fernando tells her.\n\nRosita tries to step out from behind Fernando but a slight tug of her arm by his keeps her in her place. Seeing this, Wandaline nods at him for a second before disappearing in a bright flash of light. After she leaves, it takes Fernando a couple of seconds to turn back to Rosita.\n\n“I hope you can fly with those wings.” Fernando tells her, tugging lightly on the slightly loose skin under her arm.\n\n“I don’t know.” Rosita answers.\n\n“Alright. Gliding should come natural to you if the creator did you right. It’s a matter of trusting me on this.” Fernando replies, then asking, “But first, are there any implanted memories of you flying?”\n\n“No.” Rosita answers, “But trusting you? I mean I do, I always did but learning to fly for the first time, aren’t most of our kind killed when we try?”\n\n“If you hold out your arms and relax the muscles that holds your wings in place, you will simply glide forward. Everything else is learned afterwards. You just have to trust me.” He explains.\n\n“What about landing?” She asks.\n\n“Well, when you’re flying, you’re basically lying on your stomach in flight. To land get low to the ground and fly above it. Then bring in your legs like you’re sitting and this will turn your wings into a parachute, and you will slow down and fall gently to the floor and then when your feet touch the floor close your wings and take a few steps to slow down and stop. And that’s how you land.” He explains.\n\n“I don’t know.” She says to herself.\n\n“Look. You can hold onto my shoulders and as we fly, you can learn. All you have do is relax to get your wings out.” Fernando tells her as he slowly guides her to the edge of the roof.\n\nShe stands there on the edge nervous, looking down at some eighty feet to the street below. Fernando puts her hands on to his shoulders before extending out his wings. She does the same, unintensionally clawing at Fernando’s shoulders. Fernando reaches behind her and holds her tightly for a moment before leaning forward and then pusing off with his legs. He lets go of her and extends his wings. \n\nThough its her first time, the creator had implanted Fernando’s memories, and the memories of other flying squirrels in her brain for her to reference the knowledge of flight. These memories begin to click in and activate as she flies with him, and builds up courage from the experience. She eventually lets go of him and takes off upwards to the left, making Fernando look for her. He does not see her for the moment until he sees her passing under on of the Mall spot lights, he quickly turns to follow her.\n\nRosita seems to go about aimlessly, not seemingly to take anydirection in particular but occasionally looks back to see if Fernando was behind her. Eventually where she was going puts them on the corner of the street of their homes. Her landing seemed more perfect than his.\n\nFor a moment he does not say a thing as he steps up to her side. It seemed as if she was thinking to fly again, but the distance was all uphill on a slight grade most would not notice.\n\n“Its only six blocks, all uphill.” Fernando says to her.\n\n“I know.” Rosita repies.\n\n“You said that you did not know how to fly, and since you were a grey squirrel before this, you never did.” He almost tells her.\n\n“Its not that. It was like when we started flying, everything fell into place for me, as if I had flown before.”She tries to explain.\n\n“Then if you know, you know that flying from this rising ground will be exhausting.” Fernando says as he takes out his cane from his pocket. He unfolds it, putting his hand through its thong and grabbing onto the handle. The tip of the came hits the floor with a soft ‘Tap!’ He holds out his elbow for Rosita to take, which she does.\n\nFor much of their walk home was quiet. Quiet until they get to the corner of their block, three houses from their home, and across the street from the Edward and Edna’s home. He pulls back on his arm as he stops walking. Rosita notices and stops a half step ahead of him.\n\n“Something wrong?” She asks.\n\n“Nothing. I do not want to be seen. That’s all.” He tells her.\n\n“Then how you suppose we go home?” She asks.\n\n“We fly there.” He answers.\n\nRosita releases a sigh before realizing that Fernando has taken off into the air, using the top of a nearby lamppost as a springboard to launch himself towards home. She quickly follows on pursuit after him. Within seconds they are landing in the back yard of the house they call home which they find empty. With much of the activity being held at the front of the house, they go in through the rear doorway and up the stairs. First thing Fernando notices that the house was a couple of steps bigger than expected. Once in his room, there is an extra desk next to his and the bunk bed he sleeps with Rachel has a larger bottom bed with more than enough space for two. Rosita walks in behind him and looks around.\n\n“So where am I sleeping?” Rosita asks.\n\n“Bottom bed from the looks of it.”Fernando answers as he walks around the room.\n\n“And you?” She asks.\n\n“Bottom bed from the looks of it.” He answers.\n\n“We’re sleeping together?” Rosita asks.\n\n“From the looks of it, yes.” Fernando answers. He takes his cane and tosses it towards his desk, watching it land where it always does as if the room never changed.\n\nRosita walks over to the dresser and looks inside. She finds things that would fit her in with the same drawer as Fernando and Rachel’s things, as if the large space divided up in three. Gathering a few things she trots over to Fernando and turns her back to him. She points over her shoulder to the dress’ zipper, “You mind pulling that down for me?”\n\nFernando does as he was requested, stopping when he reaches the top of the bow. Rosita steps away from him, taking a nearby towel and trots out of the room.\n\n“I’ll be back in a bit!” She says before leaving the room.\n\nWith little to do, Fernando takes off his clothes to his briefs and walks to his desk. There he finds a pitcher of water and an empty glass, deciding to take his meds as he usually does before bed time. In a second he is in bed, laying on his side by the wall and looking at the empty space that was in front of him.\n\n“A year...” he says to himself. He lets out a sigh before pulling the blanket over his shoulder, saying to himself, “This is going too fast.”\n\nA couple of minutes later Rosita can be heard entering the room with another, “I think he’s sleeping by now. I don’t know but I’m tired too.”That was his cue to close his eyes.\n\n“I want him all day tomorrow. You had him all day.” Another sounding like Rachel says.\n\n“Its up to him to decide, not me. We might be twins and share almost everything, but we don’t share you and I don’t share his pills he should have taken. So when are you going to sleep?” Rosita says and asks.\n\n“After I help Grandma clean up. That should be more than enough time for you two to get it on.” Rachel tells her.\n\n“Now wait a minute. He’s sleep...*” Rosita starts to complain, followed by a kiss on her nose and Rachel running out the room.\n\nAfter Rachel was gone, Rosita dumps her clothes in the hamper and then walks over to the bed. Fernando can see her from the knees up, she in a pair of white panties and t-shirt.\n\n“You awake?” Rosita asks.\n\n“Not for long.” Fernando tells her.\n\n“Took your pill?” She asks.\n\nHe nods after letting out a sigh. She climbs onto the bed and walks on her knees to him before putting her hands on the bed to be on all fours and give him a peck on the cheek.\n\n“Tell me how we ended up with her again?” Rosita asks him as she gets into the blanket with him and face him.\n\n“I ended up with her. You were part of my package.” Fernando answers, followed by a yawn.\n\n“OK then. I’m a package.” She almost complains.\n\n“No. We’re a package. Not you. It was us or no one.” He tries to explain.\n\n“And JD?” Rosita asks.\n\n“You should know Jorge raped Rachel and as punishment must be a girl for a year. He should be turning to normal just before your fate.” Fernando answers.\n\n“OK. You noticed that I’m just in a t-shirt and panties, no bra or Pjs?” She asks.\n\n“We don’t wear Pjs, and as far as I can guess, at your age you don’t need to wear bra to bed, according to the girls.” He answers.\n\n“I see. So you have no interest in taking your twin and doing her lovely?” Rosita asks.\n\n“One day I will. I promise I will. I just need to accept this craziness for one, and in case you didn’t noticed, I might be hard but the meds are kicking in and I’m having trouble just to think the right words for you to say, let alone move.” Fernando explains.\n\nRosita reaches over to his wrist and lifts up his arm, letting it go. It goes ‘PLOP!’ on the bed.\n\n“Goodnight Fernando. I love you.” Rosita says softly before giving him a kiss on his nose.\n\n“Love you too. And tell Rachel I love her too.” Fernando says with each word getting softer and quieter.\n\n“I will.” Rosita replies, sensing somehow that he had went to sleep.\n\n\n- - - - - - - - - - - - -\nEnd of Chapter 70\n- - - - - - - - - - - - -",
"writing_bbcode_parsed": "<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>Chapter 70: Into The Night II.<br /><br />Fernando manages to pick up flight past the lamp posts&rsquo; lighting and continues to the nearest house, gaining more height from its roof and onto a higher flight path. He could have flapped his wings a bit more but it would have been slow in gaining much needed height, and along with height he needed thrust for speed as well. Thus he was able to go past the main avenue a couple of blocks away faster than the fastest land animals could have ran it. But where he as going remained to be seen.<br /><br />As Grandmother walks out the house with Dr. Leary and Mrs. Gonzalez, seeing Mayor Cuadrado and Senator Mendez serving the guests, there were an adult pair of Red Foxes with two younger foxes, Edward and Edna, waiting by the gate. Mayor Cuadrado and Senator Mendez turn to face them and see what is going on.<br /><br />&ldquo;Excuse me, Se&ntilde;ora.&rdquo; The male fox calls to Grandmother. She turns to face him, putting her hands on the gate. She looks at him, his wife and the kits for a second. Senator Mendez steps in between them&nbsp;&nbsp;for the moment. He looks at the senator and the mayor behind her before continuing, &ldquo;Explain why my children were brought home by the police and why we have to come here tomorrow?&rdquo;<br /><br />Grandmother turns to her friend, the Senator Olga Mendez, and points to him. Senator Mendez explains to him what had happened, &ldquo;Your children and others acted on confronting an innocent person of a crime he did not commit. In fact one of that group they were with attacked him. They are to come here to answer questions as to what happened and why. It is that simple.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;They can&rsquo;t go. They have school tomorrow.&rdquo; The father tells them.<br /><br />Mayor Cuadrado steps up to the gate, &ldquo;Actually sir, school is cancelled for the week as an investigation is going on, but you are not to know that. I will mention on the news in about an hour that school is cancelled for the week but not the reason why. Consider it as an extended vacation while the schools are being prepared for the year. Either way, your children are to report here to answer questions as to what happened here tonight.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Edward. Did you or Edna attacked this person accused of a crime?&rdquo; the father tells him sternly.<br /><br />&ldquo;No father...&rdquo; Edward says nervously.<br /><br />Grandmother leans over the gate to him, telling him in English, &ldquo;Your chidren may be innocent in all this, but they are hanging out with the wrong friends. Friends who hunted down my grandson for crime he did not commit, and assaulted him. Now he is missing. Your children may not have done anything in all this but they were part of it. They need to learn that hanging out with the wrong people will get them in trouble. And this is the only time you will hear me speak English. Go to school and learn proper Spanish for I am not your Se&ntilde;orita and I&rsquo;m not sharing in your cheese.&rdquo;<br /><br />The father looks at her with an expression between anger and surprise. The mother leans over to them, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll be there with the children to clear their names.&rdquo;<br /><br />Grandmother nods before opening the gate, stepping out with Dr. Leary and Mrs. Gonzalez. She points to them to go to the table for them to work on. Edna and Edward&rsquo;s father walk over to Dr. Leary thinking she could be Fernando&rsquo;s mother. <br /><br />&ldquo;Excuse me, Miss.&rdquo; He begins to say as he pretends to get a plate of food, &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know what happened to your son but my children were not part of it.&rdquo;<br /><br />Dr. Leary looks at him for a second, reaching into her pocket and takes out her hospital identification. She shows it to him as she explains, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not the missing child&rsquo;s mother. I am his doctor. He has a medical condition that requires me to be near by. Now he&rsquo;s missing, and your children, even though they may have done nothing, were part of the group that hunted him down for a crime he is not capable of doing. And your children, even though they did nothing, were part of that group.&rdquo;<br /><br />The father could only look at Dr. Leary for the moment. Then he looks down at the table of food before giving a reply, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m sorry.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;That&rsquo;s all good but you are not to apologize to me. Your children need to apologize to him if and when he is found. Until then you need to talk to your children about being in groups that gets angry and goes out to hunt down others whether they are innocent or not. Following such a group will get them into more trouble than it is worth, and you as a parent will have to make some harsh decisions about your children. Decisions I as a doctor do not want to see you do.&rdquo; Dr. Leary tells him.<br /><br />He looks at her for the moment, then nods.<br /><br />&ldquo;If it make you feel better, I do not want anybody to be punished, except for the one who assaulted the boy. Thus it is imperative that your children with the others come tomorrow in order to say what happened and why. That would clear them of any possible wrong doing.&rdquo; D. Leary tells him, &ldquo; Now, what would you like, Roast Beast, maybe some Gallus Fingers and Legs or perhaps a drink?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;No, but thank you. I need to have to talk to my children about a few things.&rdquo; The father says, before stepping away from the table.<br /><br />&ldquo;Before you go...&rdquo; Dr. Leary tells him, making him stop in his tracks for the moment and face her. She continues, &ldquo; This party is still for everyone, especially since you have set up a table to join this party, you and your family should not be excluded.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll keep an open mind to the situation, I do not my children in any more trouble then they are already in.&rdquo; He tells her before walking away.<br /><br />Another half hour before Mayor Cuadrado&rsquo;s announcement, things seem to continuing from before the incident, minus a few participants. The girls of Fernando&rsquo;s group seem to have been searching for him in tiny areas to keep them close to the party. In light of the situation she was having, Wandaline has hid herself from everyone though she was hiding in plain sight, not just where she was expected to be.<br /><br />Fernando somehow made his way to the roof of the Pouncefeild mall where he has landed and looks out of the edge towards the school ahead and the park towards his right as he leans and puts his arms on the building&rsquo;s fa&ccedil;ade. He does not see the bright flash that was behind him.<br /><br />&ldquo;You look really worried, mister.&rdquo; A tiny voice asks.<br /><br />Fernando does not answer nor pays attention to it until someone starts to tug on his pants leg. He stands up and looks down at what was going on, absentmindedly responding, &ldquo; You mind?!!&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Actually I don&rsquo;t.&rdquo; A little squirrel girl looks up at him. She dressed in a pink and white frilly and lacey dress with a big bow tied on the back. Pulling at the side of pants, she stand up on the tip toes of her bear feet looking up at him, &ldquo; You don&rsquo;t recognize me?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;It cant be you.&rdquo; Fernando says to her.<br /><br />She lets go of him, getting on the flat of her feet before taking a step back, lifting the dress up to her waist and almost complains, &ldquo;Mom should have given me tights and shoes, but at least I have on my Wednesday panties you liked so much.&rdquo;<br /><br />Fernando lets out a sigh in disbelief of what was going on.<br /><br />&ldquo;If it is you, prove it.&rdquo; Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I cant prove nothing, not to you. Even if I were to prove that I was Rosita as you knew me, you would not still believe me.&rdquo; She tell him, with a pause before adding, &ldquo; The Rosita you knew was highly in love with you. I still am for I watch you from the other side almost all the time.&rdquo; She lets out a sigh before putting down her dress and dusts herself off before looking up at him, &ldquo;Look. If you were to go to my grave and dig up my coffin, you will find my bones still in this dress and underwear. Somethings do not change, but the almighty wants things done in a certain way. And frankly Fernando, some of us are worried about you up there.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Some of us?&rdquo; Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Daisy is there worried about you. The Mendez boys worry about you. People you never met worry about you.&rdquo; She explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;Daisy...&rdquo; Fernando begins to say but was interrupted.<br /><br />&ldquo;Daisy died in her home in that building fire. The reason she and some others were never found was because the fire flared to a couple thousand degrees and they were burned to ashes. But to ease you mind she was already dead from breathing poisoned air the fire created while in her sleep. And she is there with me and many others.&rdquo; She continues.<br /><br />He looks at her almost not believing what he was hearing. <br /><br />&ldquo;Look. Fernando. In the next few days you will be tested and you will take action that will get others hurt. That will get you in trouble which we do not want to see happen. We do not want you to act in such a way that will get others hurt. Even if they hit you, stay hit. Let others deal with them for assaulting a blind kid.&rdquo; She tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;How about telling me who it is and I&rsquo;ll just avoid them.&rdquo; Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;That will not work, not ever. Look. I, we need you to tone down you anger. And I&rsquo;m given the power to make sure it happens.&rdquo; She tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Like what can you...&rdquo; Fernando tells her but suddenly bends down, pressing his fists to his temples, holding back the urge to scream as he gets on his knees. Blood begins to drip out slowly from his nose.<br /><br />She stands with her left fist to her hip and her right index finger pointed to his forehead with a bright beam of light from her finger hitting him there, &ldquo; What Wandaline fixed in there I have now undone and activated it with a force you have yet experienced while keeping you awake to make sure you feel it. I love you, Fernando, I do not want to hurt you, but I will do what I must to make you safe.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;That was not nice, Rosita.&rdquo;A booming voice can be heard echoing through their immediate area. It makes her stop in her actions.<br /><br />&ldquo;He needs to learn that his actions can get him in to a lot of trouble.&rdquo; She looks up and answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;He has Free-Will like everyone else. You can not force him into taking actions he would normally not take.&nbsp;&nbsp; You can not smite him for doing what he does best.&rdquo; The booming voice tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;At the rate he is going he is going to kill somebody!&rdquo; She answers back. <br /><br />&ldquo;I will not smite him for acting in self defense. I can smite you for your actions.&rdquo; The booming voice tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;No!&rdquo; Fernando lets out as he breathes heavy.<br /><br />&ldquo;No?&rdquo; The booming voice asks almost in surprise. It continues, &ldquo; You are nothing but dust my dear boy. You can not stop me or tell me on what to do.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;The god I believe in is a forgiving god, not a vengeful one. I forgive her who ever she is for what she did, you have to forgive her as I did.&rdquo; Fernando tells him. <br /><br />&ldquo;Who ever she is. You don&rsquo;t believe that this is Rosita, the girl you used to do things with short of sex. You do not know that she broke a lot of rules to get to you because she cares that much for you. If you don&rsquo;t believe who she is, you cant believe who I am.&rdquo; The booming voice says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Blind Faith.&rdquo; Fernando lets out, &ldquo;Blind Faith in believing who god is and can do. But no, I can not believe that you could be him for you could be somebody else &ndash; an angel, a demon, the devil himself. And absolute proof, not an illusion to trick me.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Interesting. And what proof would this be?&rdquo; The booming voice asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;The difference between good and evil, if all other things involved with them are equal.&rdquo; Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Too simple.&rdquo; The booming voice almost laughs, &ldquo; The difference is I, good, would not force you, trick you or otherwise demand you to make a decision for an action that could upset the balance between good and evil. You are to act on what you believe is right. Free Will protects that. But you need to know the difference. You can not make a proper decision when you are forced or tricked into making that decision. Thus you are forgiven.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;You&rsquo;re right, it&rsquo;s too simple. How about...&rdquo; Fernando begins.<br /><br />&ldquo;No. You can not know the secrets of the universe, see the big bang or travel across time. And don&rsquo;t ask why either.&rdquo; The Booming voice interrupts him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Too bad. I&rsquo;ll just have to figure out myself then.&rdquo; Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;And you&rsquo;ll get close like everyone else and that&rsquo;s all.&rdquo; The booming voice replies.<br /><br />&ldquo;Then so be it. Now, you going to forgive her?&rdquo; Fernando says and asks.<br /><br />There was nothing but total silenc in the area, not even the static in the ears that is always there can&rsquo;t be heard. After a much longer than necessary moment had past, the booming voice answers, &ldquo; No.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;No. Because she has to ask for forgiveness before it can be given. OK.&rdquo; Fernando says, then turns to the girl, &ldquo;Well?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;It can only be asked where I came from.&rdquo; She answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Because if such an action is witnessed by a mortal, the almightly has to abide by it for eternity.&rdquo; Fernando explains to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;Only in this world, but yes. And people say you&rsquo;re so smart that you&rsquo;re dumb.&rdquo; The booming voice says.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t care about what others think of me unless they take such thoughts and put them into violent actions against me. Then I...&rdquo; Fernando begins to explain before being interrupted.<br /><br />&ldquo;Then you take action against those who take such actions against you. We know that as we witnessed you taking such actions when needed. &ldquo; The booming voice interrupts him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Then how about that apology and forgiving routine. All I can say is that she meant well for my wellbeing, and that says a lot because you would not unless it is for something you want done. Now outside of the rules that binds you to the agreements of man, I see nothing that would force you to an eternity of agreeing with man though forgiving is forever for that one time it is done, as it has to be done all the time.&rdquo; Fernando tries to explain.<br /><br />&ldquo;Such arrogence equals that of Michaelangelo.&rdquo; The booming voice replies.<br /><br />&ldquo;Then if she apologizes, is she forgiven?&rdquo; Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Forgiven? Yes. But unpunished, no.&rdquo; The booming answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Its unfair to send her to hell for what little she did.&rdquo; Fernando argues back.<br /><br />&ldquo;Who says anything about sending anyone to the Eternal Torment of Inferno?&rdquo; The booming voice begins, &ldquo; She is so concerned with your wellbeing that she would give up what she has for you. Perhaps I made Love too strong, but it was to be so for all to understand that you are nothing alone. So for one year, she will be restored as if she never died with changes in her life to accommodate the here and now to be here with you, and after that remains to be seen.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;It would be unfair to do send her back like this. She has no place to live, she is too young to act on her own. Things can not, will not be possible for her in this world.&rdquo; Fernando tells the skies above.<br /><br />From the darkest point of eternity above a bright shaft falls onto the girl, enveloping her, coursing through her, changing her. Where there was a girl of about eight years of age, now is just a girl his age but a bit shorter than he. What she wore, adjusted to her new shape and size. Though the transformation looked painful, it wasn&rsquo;t.<br /><br />At the same time the booming voice replies, &ldquo;Everything will be arranged for her. What she needs will be given to her. What she wants will depend if it can be given. And you are not going to question what has happened or what will happen. Modifications will be needed to fit her into the world again. So she will be your sister for as everyone is concerned, your younger twin sister: Rosita G. Don&rsquo;t make me make you forget why things have happened so she can be here. As it is, I have to erase her universal knowledge as needed for it is a danger to all of you for her to have, as others will know who she is and not what is she here.&rdquo;<br /><br />Silence follows the ends of the light show. The night slowly returns to the darkness they were in, as does what nightlife Pouncefeild has.<br /><br />Rosita looks at him for a moment before saying, &ldquo;Hi, Fernando.&rdquo;<br /><br />He sighs before asking, &ldquo; How much you remember?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;A lot more than I should, I think.&rdquo; She answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;How do you feel?&rdquo; He asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know.&nbsp;&nbsp;Like I should be?&rdquo; She answers, as she pulls on a flap of skin on her arm.<br /><br />&ldquo;As my twin, you should be a flying squirrel too. That&rsquo;s part of your wings.&rdquo; Fernando explains. He thinks for a moment. &ldquo;Uhm... what about...&rdquo; He begins to ask.<br /><br />&ldquo;You and sex with Rachel and the others?&rdquo; Rosita asks.<br /><br />Fernando looks at the floor and nods.<br /><br />&ldquo;If my brother is having sex with all those girls, including his adopted little sister, then he should continue it. But he also has to love me as he does the others, especially Rachel, if not more so. For I am now a part of you as you are a part of me.&rdquo; She explains, making him to look up at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;What about the others? I mean, their memories. As far as I remember, you lived, died and are brought back as a punishment from the almighty himself. What will they remember?&rdquo; Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;They will remember that I never died and am part of your family as your twin sister.&rdquo; She explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;How we going to get you home? I mean, without shoes and things.&rdquo; Fernando asks.<br /><br />They both look down at her bare feet. Next to her was a shoe box that was not there before. She bends down and picks it up. Getting up she hands the box for Fernando to hold before opening it. She pulls out a slightly scuffed up but well pampered MaryJane shoe with a white sweat sock in it. She takes the other and leans back against the building&rsquo;s fa&ccedil;ade to put them on, folding the sox down around her ankles to a poofy squared ring. They look at her feet as she gets off the short building wall. She looks up at him as he looks at her feet.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hey.&rdquo; Rosita calls to him.<br /><br />He looks up at her, &ldquo;Huh?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;It&rsquo;s getting late. We should go home.&rdquo; She tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t want to go home.&rdquo;Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Grandma is going to get mad if you don&rsquo;t. She&rsquo;s worried about you as it is.&rdquo; Rosita tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I will go in a few minutes. Right now I want to be left alone.&rdquo; He tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Alone with me?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I would prefer alone, alone. But if I&rsquo;m going to have a sister who is constantly on my back like Rachel is, I have little choice in the matter, now do I?&rdquo; He explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;I can respect your privacy but I need your help now.&rdquo; She says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Help? As in?&rdquo; Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Getting home. Being accepted in a home. Being a sister again, though to you this time. And to Rachel and Jorge. Well Jorgina-Daisy, JD.&rdquo; Rosita answers, pausing for a second, &ldquo;I hope you don&rsquo;t expect me to be giving it up to you all the time like Rachel does for you.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I do not want you to do anything you do not want to do.&rdquo; He tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;And you are not going to force me to do anything I would not like to do?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Never, not to you.&rdquo; He answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;God. You&rsquo;re going to a boring brother.&rdquo; Rosita says to herself.<br /><br />&ldquo;Huh?&rdquo; Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;There should be some conflict in our lives, Fernando. Without some conflicts, it going to be boring.&rdquo; She tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m not going to hold you down and rape you. I&rsquo;m not like that, especially those I&rsquo;m supposed to love.&rdquo; He explains. Rosita leans over to him and kiss him on the nose before taking a step back for a moment. He looks up at her, &ldquo; What was that for?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Look. In this &lsquo;Vita Nova&rsquo; for me, we are not going to agree on everything. As your sister I might pull that string on you &ndash; me or them. As my brother you might pull that string on me.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;Rosita begins.<br /><br />&ldquo;I would not do that to you, like I have not done it with the others.&rdquo; Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m just saying. We are not going to agree on everything.&rdquo; She tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;And we will deal with it when we get there. But I have to say, why are you doing this now? You only got a year to be with me. Why waste it on worthless bickering about things yet to happen?&rdquo; He tells her, continuing, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not going to force you to do anything you do not want to do, but that means I might make things too easy for you because of what little time we have together, what time you have with everyone.&nbsp;&nbsp;Soon school will start and vacations will soon come with Winter. Then Spring and then Summer again. Its not a lot of time for you to have. Not any one of us to have. So excuse me, Rosita, for I will do what I can for you and in doing so, maybe spoil you like I do the others, maybe more so. But in the end I do not want to lose you again.&rdquo;<br /><br />It takes a moment for the words&rsquo; meanings to hit her, and does so hard. She does not realize that tears were flowing as she steps up to him and gives him a hug. &ldquo; You are not going to lose me, not again.&rdquo; she whispers in his ear.<br /><br />&ldquo;Until that time comes, not if we can help it.&rdquo; a voice says loud enough at the other end of the roof.<br /><br />Fernando pushes Rosita off him before turning around, &ldquo;Wandaline?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;She&rsquo;s not alone.&rdquo; The sound of her mother&rsquo;s voice can be heard getting closer. They finally get within visual distance to them and stop a couple of feet away.<br /><br />&ldquo;How much of this you both saw?&rdquo; Fernando asks as if on the defensive.<br /><br />&ldquo;You need to relax, Fernando.&rdquo; Mrs. Gonzalez tells him, &ldquo; We are not here to do anything but protect you both. Remember what the Creator said, &lsquo;others will know who she is and not what is she here.&rsquo; We know because of our knowledge of the field we dwelve in.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;And we were the only ones who saw the light show and decided to investigate.&rdquo; Wandaline adds.<br /><br />&ldquo;Now that you are back and for the short time you have, things are going to get interesting.&rdquo; Mrs. Gonzalez says out load but almost to herself.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll take what help I need when its needed. Right now I need some time with...&rdquo; Fernando begins to say as he reaches behind him and takes Rosita&rsquo;s hand, keeping her in place behind him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Your sister?&rdquo; Mrs. Gonzalez asks, then says, &ldquo; You will have that time, but Wandaline will stay with you both, for now.&rdquo;<br /><br />Before Fernando could say anything, Mrs. Gonzalez disappears in a flash of light.<br /><br />&ldquo;So...&rdquo; Wanadaline begins, &ldquo; How does it feel to be back from the dead? How was heaven?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I can&rsquo;t tell you because I don&rsquo;t remember.&rdquo; Rosita tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Those memories were erased from her, so she don&rsquo;t know.&rdquo; Fernando tells her sternly.<br /><br />&ldquo;I figured as much. The creator does not put people back on this world with those memories intact.&rdquo; Wandaline replies.<br /><br />&ldquo;So why ask if you knew?&rdquo; Fernando asks in an annoyed tone.<br /><br />&ldquo;Just checking.&rdquo; Wandaline answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Look Wandaline. I don&rsquo;t know that the problem is, but I did not go do those things you did to me today. So right now I am still angry with you, which I will say that you and I will deal with our differences another time, but for now I want to be left alone with Rosita. So go home.&rdquo; Fernando tells her.<br /><br />Rosita tries to step out from behind Fernando but a slight tug of her arm by his keeps her in her place. Seeing this, Wandaline nods at him for a second before disappearing in a bright flash of light. After she leaves, it takes Fernando a couple of seconds to turn back to Rosita.<br /><br />&ldquo;I hope you can fly with those wings.&rdquo; Fernando tells her, tugging lightly on the slightly loose skin under her arm.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know.&rdquo; Rosita answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Alright. Gliding should come natural to you if the creator did you right. It&rsquo;s a matter of trusting me on this.&rdquo; Fernando replies, then asking, &ldquo; But first, are there any implanted memories of you flying?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;No.&rdquo; Rosita answers, &ldquo; But trusting you? I mean I do, I always did but learning to fly for the first time, aren&rsquo;t most of our kind killed when we try?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;If you hold out your arms and relax the muscles that holds your wings in place, you will simply glide forward. Everything else is learned afterwards. You just have to trust me.&rdquo; He explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;What about landing?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Well, when you&rsquo;re flying, you&rsquo;re basically lying on your stomach in flight. To land get low to the ground and fly above it. Then bring in your legs like you&rsquo;re sitting and this will turn your wings into a parachute, and you will slow down and fall gently to the floor and then when your feet touch the floor close your wings and take a few steps to slow down and stop. And that&rsquo;s how you land.&rdquo; He explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know.&rdquo; She says to herself.<br /><br />&ldquo;Look. You can hold onto my shoulders and as we fly, you can learn. All you have do is relax to get your wings out.&rdquo; Fernando tells her as he slowly guides her to the edge of the roof.<br /><br />She stands there on the edge nervous, looking down at some eighty feet to the street below. Fernando puts her hands on to his shoulders before extending out his wings. She does the same, unintensionally clawing at Fernando&rsquo;s shoulders. Fernando reaches behind her and holds her tightly for a moment before leaning forward and then pusing off with his legs. He lets go of her and extends his wings. <br /><br />Though its her first time, the creator had implanted Fernando&rsquo;s memories, and the memories of other flying squirrels in her brain for her to reference the knowledge of flight. These memories begin to click in and activate as she flies with him, and builds up courage from the experience. She eventually lets go of him and takes off upwards to the left, making Fernando look for her. He does not see her for the moment until he sees her passing under on of the Mall spot lights, he quickly turns to follow her.<br /><br />Rosita seems to go about aimlessly, not seemingly to take anydirection in particular but occasionally looks back to see if Fernando was behind her. Eventually where she was going puts them on the corner of the street of their homes. Her landing seemed more perfect than his.<br /><br />For a moment he does not say a thing as he steps up to her side. It seemed as if she was thinking to fly again, but the distance was all uphill on a slight grade most would not notice.<br /><br />&ldquo;Its only six blocks, all uphill.&rdquo; Fernando says to her.<br /><br />&ldquo;I know.&rdquo; Rosita repies.<br /><br />&ldquo;You said that you did not know how to fly, and since you were a grey squirrel before this, you never did.&rdquo; He almost tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Its not that. It was like when we started flying, everything fell into place for me, as if I had flown before.&rdquo; She tries to explain.<br /><br />&ldquo;Then if you know, you know that flying from this rising ground will be exhausting.&rdquo; Fernando says as he takes out his cane from his pocket. He unfolds it, putting his hand through its thong and grabbing onto the handle. The tip of the came hits the floor with a soft &lsquo;Tap!&rsquo; He holds out his elbow for Rosita to take, which she does.<br /><br />For much of their walk home was quiet. Quiet until they get to the corner of their block, three houses from their home, and across the street from the Edward and Edna&rsquo;s home. He pulls back on his arm as he stops walking. Rosita notices and stops a half step ahead of him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Something wrong?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Nothing. I do not want to be seen. That&rsquo;s all.&rdquo; He tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Then how you suppose we go home?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;We fly there.&rdquo; He answers.<br /><br />Rosita releases a sigh before realizing that Fernando has taken off into the air, using the top of a nearby lamppost as a springboard to launch himself towards home. Rosita walks in behind&nbsp;&nbsp;him and looks around.<br /><br />&ldquo;So where am I sleeping?&rdquo; Rosita asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Bottom bed from the looks of it.&rdquo;Fernando answers as he walks around the room.<br /><br />&ldquo;And you?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Bottom bed from the looks of it.&rdquo; He answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;We&rsquo;re sleeping together?&rdquo; Rosita asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;From the looks of it, yes.&rdquo; Fernando answers. He takes his cane and tosses it towards his desk, watching it land where it always does as if the room never changed.<br /><br />Rosita walks over to the dresser and looks inside. She finds things that would fit her in with the same drawer as Fernando and Rachel&rsquo;s things, as if the large space divided up in three. Gathering a few things she trots over to Fernando and turns her back to him. She points over her shoulder to the dress&rsquo; zipper, &ldquo; You mind pulling that down for me?&rdquo;<br /><br />Fernando does as he was requested, stopping when he reaches the top of the bow. Rosita steps away from him, taking a nearby towel and trots out of the room.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll be back in a bit!&rdquo; She says before leaving the room.<br /><br />With little to do, Fernando takes off his clothes to his briefs and walks to his desk. There he finds a pitcher of water and an empty glass, deciding to take his meds as he usually does before bed time. In a second he is in bed, laying on his side by the wall and looking at the empty space that was in front of him.<br /><br />&ldquo;A year...&rdquo; he says to himself. He lets out a sigh before pulling the blanket over his shoulder, saying to himself, &ldquo; This is going too fast.&rdquo;<br /><br />A couple of minutes later Rosita can be heard entering the room with another, &ldquo;I think he&rsquo;s sleeping by now. I don&rsquo;t know but I&rsquo;m tired too.&rdquo; That was his cue to close his eyes.<br /><br />&ldquo;I want him all day tomorrow. You had him all day.&rdquo; Another sounding like Rachel says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Its up to him to decide, not me. We might be twins and share almost everything, but we don&rsquo;t share you and I don&rsquo;t share his pills he should have taken. So when are you going to sleep?&rdquo; Rosita says and asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;After I help Grandma clean up. That should be more than enough time for you two to get it on.&rdquo; Rachel tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Now wait a minute. He&rsquo;s sleep...*&rdquo; Rosita starts to complain, followed by a kiss on her nose and Rachel running out the room.<br /><br />After Rachel was gone, Rosita dumps her clothes in the hamper and then walks over to the bed. Fernando can see her from the knees up, she in a pair of white panties and t-shirt.<br /><br />&ldquo;You awake?&rdquo; Rosita asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Not for long.&rdquo; Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Took your pill?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />He nods after letting out a sigh. She climbs onto the bed and walks on her knees to him before putting her hands on the bed to be on all fours and give him a peck on the cheek.<br /><br />&ldquo;Tell me how we ended up with her again?&rdquo; Rosita asks him as she gets into the blanket with him and face him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I ended up with her. You were part of my package.&rdquo; Fernando answers, followed by a yawn.<br /><br />&ldquo;OK then. I&rsquo;m a package.&rdquo; She almost complains.<br /><br />&ldquo;No. We&rsquo;re a package. Not you. It was us or no one.&rdquo; He tries to explain.<br /><br />&ldquo;And JD?&rdquo; Rosita asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;You should know Jorge raped Rachel and as punishment must be a girl for a year. He should be turning to normal just before your fate.&rdquo; Fernando answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;OK. You noticed that I&rsquo;m just in a t-shirt and panties, no bra or Pjs?&rdquo; She asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;We don&rsquo;t wear Pjs, and as far as I can guess, at your age you don&rsquo;t need to wear bra to bed, according to the girls.&rdquo; He answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;I see. So you have no interest in taking your twin and doing her lovely?&rdquo; Rosita asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;One day I will. I promise I will. I just need to accept this craziness for one, and in case you didn&rsquo;t noticed, I might be hard but the meds are kicking in and I&rsquo;m having trouble just to think the right words for you to say, let alone move.&rdquo; Fernando explains.<br /><br />Rosita reaches over to his wrist and lifts up his arm, letting it go. It goes &lsquo;PLOP!&rsquo; on the bed.<br /><br />&ldquo;Goodnight Fernando. I love you.&rdquo; Rosita says softly before giving him a kiss on his nose.<br /><br />&ldquo;Love you too. And tell Rachel I love her too.&rdquo; Fernando says with each word getting softer and quieter.<br /><br />&ldquo;I will.&rdquo; Rosita replies, sensing somehow that he had went to sleep.<br /><br /><br />- - - - - - - - - - - - -<br />End of Chapter 70<br />- - - - - - - - - - - - -</span>",
