"writing": "Chapter 23: Second to Last Thursday.\n\nBoth Fernando and Rachel slept well after the half hour of sex he gave her at right before midnight. Rachel wakes earlier then expected; 5:30AM instead of an hour later. Though still asleep, Fernando had a hard on that Rachel could not ignore. Being more than happy to oblige, she gives him a blow job under the sheets.\n\nAt ten to six, she gets out of bed and starts her daily hygiene routine. With more time on her hands she takes a longer shower then what she’s used too. By 6:15 she steps out of the bathroom, drying herself out with a towel. Back in the her room she puts on a t-shirt and panties before going downstairs to the kitchen. Grandma was making Monte Carlos (Calah bread French toast open sandwich with ham and Swiss cheese) for breakfast. Seeing Rachel coming into the kitchen from upstairs, she finishes the first of 3 plates for the children and tells her to sit down at the dining table.\n\nAs she finishes preparing Rachel breakfast, she asks her a few questions.\n\n“Who was that girl and what she wanted with Fernando?”, Grandma asks in Spanish as she puts down a breakfast plate down on the table for her with a glass of OJ.\n\n“I don’t know. She works at the pool like Fernando used too in New York.”, Rachel says as she pours the maple syrup on her Monte Carlo.\n\n“Maybe she wants Fernando to work there? I say no. I don’t want him stressed out and getting headaches from a summer job for less than minimum wage.”, Grandma tells her. “You are all to have fun and start getting ready for school. It starts in less than 2 weeks.”\n\n“Yeah…”, Rachel says as she tries to eat her breakfast between the questions.\n\n“Fernando needs to get into a habit of waking up early like you do. Even Jorge needs to wake up earlier too.”, Grandma says.\n\n“Jorge always take over the bathroom and locks the door.”, Rachel complains.\n\n“Then you use the downstairs bathroom if that happens.”, Grandma throws back at her.\n\n“Yeah.”, Rachel sighs.\n\n“Look young lady. I’m giving you a lot of responsibility because those boys cant or wont take it. Fernando is too sick all the time and Jorge is getting too used to the whip to make it effective.”, Grandma explains.\n\n“Jorge is a good boy. Its just he angry that Fernando gets everything and he don’t.”, Rachel throws back at her. “I get almost nothing but what Fernando gives me I treasure it.”\n\n“If Jorge was a good boy he would not be trying to join gangs or bully his classmates. I’m surprised that he hasn’t raped you yet.”, Grandma tells her.\n\nRachel does not answer, the last bit she took being a bit hard to swallow.\n\n“That is all that boy thinks about… fighting and beating people up.”, Grandma adds. “If he picks on Fernando, you let me know.”\n\n“I will…”, Rachel says putting her head down.\n\nTime passes without notice, and Jorge comes downstairs dressed up ready to go. “What’s for breakfast?”, he asks in Spanish.\n\nGrandma gets out of the chair and go the kitchen to prepare his meal. He takes the seat she was in.\n\n“Why was Lucy here?”, Jorge asks in English.\n\n“I don’t know. She wanted to see Fernando about something and then said nothing.”, Rachel answers.\n\n“You know her boyfriends are in the gang.”, Jorge warns her.\n\n“So. The hoe got boyfriends. She’s no better than Mary was. At least the gang here are punks.”, Rachel tells him. “Maybe you can get lucky and get some from her.”\n\n“I wouldn’t fuck her with your dick if you had one.”, Jorge tells her as Grandma puts his breakfast plate in front of him.\n\n“Speak in Spanish.’, Grandma tells them.\n\n“Sorry Grandma.”, Rachel tells her in Spanish.\n\n“And what about you?”, Grandma turns to Jorge.\n\n“I’m just telling her that there are some bad boys to watch out for.”, Jorge tells her in Spanish.\n\n“Bad Boys? As in Gangs?”, Grandma asks.\n\n“Not like in New York City, but yeah.”, Jorge answers.\n\n“Gangs or not, I don’t want you associated with them!”, Grandma tells him loudly.\n\n“I’m Not!”, Jorge yells at her back.\n\nGrandma gives him a stern look. Before she could say anything, Rachel distracts her.\n\n“Finished!”, Rachel says as she holds out her plate.\n\nGrandma looks at her for a moment before taking her plate to the kitchen. Jorge takes a couple of wolf bites and swallows much of his breakfast as possible. He then gulps his glass of OJ before getting up and running out the house.\n\n“I’ll call up later.”, as he leaves through the door.\n\nGrandma comes back, seeing Jorge had left his glass and plate on the table. She takes the plate and glass with her to the kitchen, complaining about the boy.\n\nFernando comes down in just his t-shirt and underwear looking like the end results of a Mythbusters’ Experiment gone wrong. He yawns as Grandma puts his breakfast in front of him.\n\n“School starts in 2 weeks. You need to wake up early like your little sister and get ready for school.”, Grandma tells him sternly in Spanish. He just nods at her as he looks at breakfast.\n\n“What is this?”, he asks her.\n\n“French toast, ham and cheese. I did it differently to see if you like it. Now eat up.”, Grandma tells him.\n\nRachel hands him the maple syrup, which he pours onto the meal. He begins to eat it. Grandma brings the third chair of the dining set back to the table, where she had it in the kitchen to reach into the high shelves with. She sits between Rachel and Fernando.\n\n“Dr. Leary called yesterday. She told me that she wanted to take you (Fernando) to some flying club on Saturday to improve your skills. She told me that the health insurance will cover the cost as part of his rehab.”, Grandma explained.\n\n“What you told her?”, Rachel asks.\n\nGrandma almost ignores her as she turns to Fernando. “I know you fly and I warn you that because you cant see you are going to crash into something. I recognize those bruises. My brothers used to fly too as did my sister and I. But we are not pure-bed fliers. You listening to me boy?”, she taps his forehead with her knuckles at the end.\n\n“I’m listening… Then I’m going to bed…”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“Look. You’re going with Dr. Leary and you’re taking your sister with you. Any sign of trouble you tell Dr. Leary to take you home. And don’t try to show off with stunt flying. You’re there to relax to get your pressure down, not crashing into every piece in the obstacle course. And dress cleanly. Look like you came from a respectable family and not from some homeless bums living in some abandoned car under a highway overpass. You listening?”, Grandma tells her.\n\n“I’m listening.”, he tells her.\n\nGrandma puts thirty dollars on the table. “Ten dollars each. If you see Jorge, give him his share. Go outside and have fun. Don’t sleep the day away. I’m going food shopping.”, Grandma tells them. She gets up puts the chair under the table before going to the kitchen and gathers her things. “Rachel, clean up after him and put away his plate and glass and keep an eye on him.”, Grandma says as she walks by. A minute later she was walking down the block with her shopping cart.\n\n“What you want to do today?”, Rachel asks.\n\n“Sleep.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“But… there’s a whole day out there!”, Rachel says.\n\n“I’ll decide later when I wake up.”, he says. He gets up and takes his empties to the sink with Rachel right behind her. He puts them into the sink and begins to wash them but Rachel pushes him out the way.\n\n“I’ll do it. You go take a shower, you have my scent all over you.”, Rachel tells him.\n\n“Most of the time you smell like me because you don’t shower after we do it.”, Fernando tells her.\n\nRachel momentarily freezes as she was washing the plate, unsure how to answer. After a moment she finally does, “Well, brothers and sisters do smell similarly.”\n\n“Girls have their own scent and guys have their own. Only way they would smell similar would be because they fuck all of the time.”, he tells her. “Not that I’m, complaining.”\n\nRachel puts away the plate and glass. “I’m not complaining either.”, she hesitates for a moment, then grabs his wrist and starts taking him to the stairs. “Lets get dressed at least. Where you want to go today, Pool, Park, Museum, Library or the Mall?”\n\nBefore Fernando could answer, the doorbell rings. Rachel lets go of Fernando’s wrist and runs to the door. “Don’t Open The Door!”, he yells at her, but she does not listen.\n\nRachel opens the door without looking through the curtained window or peephole, putting her foot to limit how far the door opens to within the width of her body. “What are you doing here so early in the morning?”, Rachel asks.\n\n“You always open the door in your underwear?”, Lucy answers.\n\n“What I do naked or clothed in my house is my business. Now what do you want?”, Rachel tells her.\n\n“I figure before I report to the pool to drop by and see how your brother is doing.”, Lucy stared. “He is your brother, right? You two don’t even look alike. You’re not even the same species.”\n\n“I’m adopted but he accepts me as a real sister. And our other brother looks like a regular squirrel because he has a different father from him. Now what’s your problem?”, Rachel went at her.\n\n“Adopted huh?”, Lucy started to say. “Anyways. Fernando up or do I have to wake him up?”\n\nNeither Rachel or Lucy notices the gate opening or somebody walking towards the house. A soft lady-like voice speaks behind Lucy, “Is there a problem?”\n\nRachel pushes Lucy to the side, “Dr. Aiesha? What are you doing here?”\n\n“Just a home visit, checking up on Fernando and I got some papers for your grandmother to sign.”, Dr. Leary says.\n\n“Grandma is out shopping.”, Rachel answers.\n\n“Dr. Aiesha as in a medical doctor?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“Dr. Aiesha Leary, I’m a Pteromyini Sciuridae specialist.”, she tells her. “Rachel, is Fernando awake so I can examine him?”\n\n“A what?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“A Pteromyini Sciuridae specialist. A doctor who care for flying squirrels like him.”, Dr. Leary explains.\n\nRachel opens the door to let her in but Lucy quickly follows into the house. Fernando has sat himself back at the dining area, miffed at Rachel for letting people in, though Dr. Leary he would not mind seeing.\n\nDr. Leary puts her medical bag on the table, giving Fernando a once over. Rachel goes over to the other seat forgetting about Lucy for a moment though Fernando does not.\n\n“What do you want, Lucy?”, Fernando asks her Dr. Leary wraps a blood pressure cuff around his arm.\n\n“You must be really sick if a doctor has to drop by and check you out. Your plastic bubble broke or something?”, Lucy stated.\n\n“She your girlfriend or something?”, Dr. Leary stated, realizing what that question did to his blood pressure reading. “350… Oh my…”\n\n“No she is not. She’s somebody who I met at the pool.”, Fernando says, trying to relax.\n\n“You don’t love me?”, Lucy mocked at him. “You said that I would be your one and only!”\n\n“Look… Lucy? Sit down over there and be quiet while I examine him.”, Dr. Leary tells her sternly.\n\n“I got to go anyways.”, Lucy says. “See you later Fernando.”, she adds almost musically before leaving through the door.\n\n“You guys waking up or did I interrupt something?”, Dr. Leary asks.\n\n“We just finished breakfast when that one knocked on the door.”, Fernando explained.\n\n“You relax so I can get a nice low pressure reading.”, Dr. Leary tells him.\n\n“I’ll try.”, Fernando says quietly.\n\nAfter a couple of minutes, Dr. Leary unwraps the cuff from his arm. “You should not let things bother you, Fernando.”, Dr. Leary tells him. “It’s a big step towards solving your problem and in becoming a man.”, as she shoves a digital thermometer into his mouth.\n\n“Take off your T-shirt”, she tells him. As soon as he takes it off, she puts a cold stethoscope to his chest. After several seconds, she pulls away and takes out the thermometer. “Hmmm… 102.3F”, as she writes it down. “Except for being a bit stressed out, you’re normal.”, she then smiles at him.\n\nFernando puts on his t-shirt. Dr. Leary a couple of forms for Grandma to sign and explains it to them that she has to have it by tomorrow afternoon. Rachel takes the forms and puts them on the service island of the kitchen for Grandma to see.\n\n“Why did you tell Grandma about Saturday?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“I came to the realization that if you got hurt flying outside of your home town, I have no legal right to help you and can be sued, if not arrested for what had happened. This is for me to keep you safe.”, Dr. Leary explained.\n\n“So we’re not meeting at the restaurant?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“I’ll be picking you up from here.”, Dr. Leary answers. “Any other questions before I go?”\n\n“None that I can think of.”, Fernando says almost to himself.\n\n“You got some chipmunk repellant so I can spray Lucy with?”, Rachel asks.\n\n“No. But where will you do today?”, Dr. Leary asks.\n\n“I don’t know.”, Rachel answers.\n\n“Sleeping.”, Fernando says to himself.\n\n“Though you need rest, you should not be sleeping days away. Its not good for you. You need to be active and moving.”, Dr. Leary tells him.\n\n“Yes ma’am.”, Fernando says to himself.\n\n“Maybe you can go to the pool after you spend some time with your little sister and spend some time with your…friend? Is she the one you had a fight with 2 weeks ago?”, Dr. Leary says in realization.\n\n“She is.”, Fernando says.\n\n“Has she been coming over to bully you?”, Dr. Leary asks.\n\n“No. I don’t know how to describe it.”, Fernando started to say. “I ask her for a favor and in return she requests the same from me.”\n\n“That favor you or her ask, involves sex?”, Dr. Leary asks.\n\n“Hell No.”, he tells her.\n\n“ I see.”, Dr. Leary says. “You be careful around her. She might seem nice but I have a feeling that she is a bit of a psycho queen.”\n\n“At least she admits to not being a nice girl.”, Fernando says to himself.\n\n“Don’t be afraid to knock her across the teeth if you need too.”, Dr. Leary tells him. She looks at her watch, “My, I have to get to the hospital before I’m late. Look, if you go to the pool, I’ll check up on you in the afternoon, say around 3.”\n\n“OK... See you later. And Saturday then?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“Saturday it is.”, Dr. Leary says as she gets up and walks to the door. “8o’clock.”\n\nAs Rachel walks to the door, the sound of a tiny sports car is heard driving away. She locks the door and walks back to Fernando. ”You OK?”, she asks.\n\n“I’m fine.”, he tells her. “Come here.”, as he reaches out to her.\n\nShe takes his hand and sits on his lap.\n\n“I don’t know what to say or feel right now.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“You love me?”, Rachel asks.\n\n“Always.”, he answers.\n\n“Then what’s the problem?”, she asks.\n\n“Its Lucy. I know that much, by why I don’t know.”, he tries to explain.\n\n“Lucy and Mary probably came from the same bitch tree as rotten fruit.”, she tries to solve his quandary. “I understand you need her but you don’t want her.”\n\n“You’re right.”, he says. He lets out a sigh, then leans over and kisses her on the nose.\n\n“You know it does not work on me as it does on you…”, she says with I smile.\n\n“I know.”, he started to say. Fernando slowly got up, cradling Rachel in his arms. “But maybe you would take a hint.”, as he carried her up the stairs.\n\n“What kind of hint?”, she giggles as she hold on around his neck.\n\nFernando opens the door to their room and carries her to his bed and gently puts her on it. He kneels in front of her, as he reaches towards her panty’s waist band and start pulling them down off her. “This kind of hint.”\n\nOnce the panties were off, Rachel sits up and pushes her brother onto the bed. “I’m suppose you give you those hints.”, as she starts to pull down on his briefs enough to take his dick and put it in her mouth. After a while she sits back up and looks at him, the t-shirts come off. He momentarily picks her up and puts her on the center of the bed with her head on his pillow. She opens her legs to show him she was ready. As he slowly crawled on top of her, she takes his dick in her hand and guides it into her pussy. He pushes his dick inside her as far as it can go.\n\nThey continue fucking each other for almost half an hour, with her losing the ‘who will cum first’ contest they play several times. Each time she came she would hold onto him tightly, wanting more. Her vaginal muscles clamped down tightly on his dick, contracting hard on him when she came. Little less than a half hour of fun, he starts to cum inside her, filling her uterus up with his sperm at the same time she reaches her orgasm.\n\nWhen he finishes pumping his seed into his little sister, she slowly pulls out of her. He lays down next to her. She turns to face him, momentarily smothering him with kisses before cleaning his dick with her tongue. She rests her head don his chest when she is done. For the moment they enjoy the silence of each other’s company.\n\nFernando can feel sleep trying to take over him but forces himself to stay awake.\n\n“Rachel…”, he calls to her.\n\n“Yes?”, she asks.\n\n“I need to take a shower.”, he answers her.\n\n“So do I, thanks to you.”, she says with a smile before kissing his nose. She gets up out of bed and quickly grabs a couple of towels to take to the bathroom with. Fernando slowly gets up and goes after her.\n\nRachel had reached into the shower stall and turned on the water, turning the values to the ‘Hot’ setting. She steps into the shower stall when he steps into the bathroom, and follows her into the shower stall, turning off the lights and putting his glasses into the sink before getting in.\n\nThe next twelve or so minutes was spent lathering each other up with soap and shampoo. After the fourth cycle of ‘Soak, Lather, Rinse’, Rachel puts her fingers through his hair, distracting him enough to reach up and kiss him on the nose. This is followed by reaching behind his neck and jumping up, straddling her legs around his waist. He slip back against the wall and slide down to the floor.\n\n“You OK?”, Rachel asks.\n\n“I’m OK. Are you?”, Fernando answers and then asks.\n\n“I’m fine.”, she says, slowly letting him go, sliding down onto his legs. His penis seems to spring up to life as it came out from behind her. She looks at it and then at her brother, smiling. “Care for round two?”, she asks as she takes his dick in her hand.\n\n“Huh?”, Fernando started, seeing her smiling at him as the water rained on them both as they sat on the floor. Then he looks at her hand holding her hand holding his erect penis, not too hard or too soft but enough for her to say ‘its mine!’\n\n“Oh. No. I mean we could but we would need to take another shower and…”, he started to say as she leans over to him and shuts him up with a kiss to the lips that grows in passion and intensity for the short moment is lasted.\n\nShe pulls away from him, “Its OK. We got things to do, depending on what it is you want to do.”, she tells him.\n\n“I would like to test Lucy a couple of more times before school starts.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“Be careful messing with her. Jorge says that she in the gang.”, Rachel tells him, letting go of his dick and kneeling on her knees with his legs in between hers. She takes a couple of steps to him, putting her arms around his head and neck. “I don’t want you to get hurt, OK? I’ll back you up however you need me.”, she tells him.\n\n“Its OK, Rachel. I dont intend to get hurt in any way. You mind shutting off the water so we can dry off?”, he tells her.\n\n“Oh..”, she says looking into his eyes. She lets go of him and gets up to turn the water. Fernando slowly gets up and slides the shower door open as soon as the water stops. He reaches over and takes the towels off the rack and takes them inside.\n\nWrapping his little sister in one of the towels, he buffs her dry, followed by he doing himself. Instead she takes the towel and buffs him dry as he did her. Wiping their legs and feet, they step out to the bathroom, continuing to dry each other off. He puts on his glasses from the sink, before turning the lights on in the bathroom.\n\nThey continue with the rest of their hygienic routine before going back into the room to get dressed. It was still early, a few minutes before ten, but it did not seemed to be of any importance. Either way, They got ready to go to the pool for a second straight day.\n\nBefore they go, Fernando goes into Jorge’s room and puts ten dollars on his Mac Keyboard.\n\nAs they walk down the street, Rachel asks, “Why are you going after Lucy? She’s a mean bitch. Just like Mary was”\n\n“Every area has its Alpha Male and Alpha Female. According to Edward, Lucy is this community’s Alpha Female. As for Alpha Males, there are too many in that position. But if I can get the Alpha Female to accept me then my status will be undisputed as Alpha Male. But its not going to be easy. Jorge and I are going to kick a lot of ass before school starts. And once I’m Alpha Male, I can make anyone the Alpha Female.”, Fernando explains.\n\n“As far as I know, its hard enough for you to be Alpha Male in the house with Jorge constantly on your tail. You think you can take over this place and become Alpha Male?”, Rachel asks.\n\n“All I can do is try and if I fail, at least the punks will know better than to pick on me.”, he answers.\n\nIn a minute, passing the restaurant, they end up at the pool’s entrance where a line of people was. They stood online with everyone, waiting for the pool to open. A familiar voice greets them at the fence. “So your doc decided that you were no longer contagious and let you be free?”\n\n“What I have would send you in a medically induced coma because you would not be able to handle the pain.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“If you’re too sick, then you cant come into the pool.”, an adult say as she approached Lucy by the fence. “Oh, you again. Going to cause trouble today?”, Mrs. Trousers asks.\n\n“I’m not here to cause trouble.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“But trouble does seem to follow you.”, Mrs. Trousers says, opening the gate to only let him and Rachel in. “Before I send you two to the locker, let me see your life guard ID again.”\n\n“Why? I’m not here to work. I want to catch some sun and swim some laps.”, tells her.\n\n“We’re a little short handed and might have to close the pool if I don’t get the proper number of water safety agents to maintain a proper level of safety.”, Mrs. Trousers explain. “You should know that.”\n\n“One life guard for ever 200 or so swimmers in the pool or for every 100 square yards. Your pool size says your need 4 on the towers and 2 checking the deck.”, Fernando explains the regulations as he knew them.\n\n“We only have 3 lifeguards.”, Lucy tells him. “The most of them went to some party last night and are too sick to report to work.”\n\n“Call them to report to work or write them up.”, Fernando tells her, handing his card with the Speedo attached to it to Mrs. Trousers. “In the mean time, close the pool if its unsafe. In my old job, we had a life guard named Teddy Bear. He always reported to work drunk, stoned or whatever on what chemicals he took the night before. Since he likes his money, he reported to work, even if he had to sleep in the tower chairs. Unfortunately, he was my partner and I had to do my work and his as well.”\n\n“Welcome to St. Love Joys’ Pool.”, Mrs. Trousers says after reading the card.\n\n“I’m not working here.”, Fernando tells her as he takes his Speedo from Mrs. Trousers. Lucy takes him by the wrist and takes him into the office area of the pool.\n\nMrs. Trousers stops Rachel from following, “This is between them and a promise he made to her.”\n\nIn a private office marked ‘Mrs. Trousers’ on the door, Lucy takes Fernando inside locking the door behind them.\n\n“Look, I need your help now, like you said yesterday, ‘I help you, you help me.’ Now I need your help.”, Lucy tells him.\n\n“Cant do it. Really.”, Fernando tells her. “You should close the pool for the day or open it when the rest of your staff comes in.”\n\n“Help me and Mrs. Trousers and you will never have to worry about Gym or Swimming Class in school- ever!”, Lucy tosses at him.\n\n“I already have a medical excuse for Gym at school. Besides, if I go out there and work, I’ll be useless after one or two rescues. And who is going to carry me home in the condition you saw me in last night?”, Fernando tells her.\n\nThe sound of people entering the gate and into the locker rooms fill the office, followed by a knock on the door, “Jonathan, Raul and Thompson came in late! We can open!”, Mrs. Trousers says loudly from the other side of the door. “You Don’t Have To Have Sex With Him, We Have Enough Staff!”\n\nFernando looks at the door and then at Lucy who was looking back at him, as if she was hiding something.\n\n“You were not going to do what she said, right?”, Fernando asks her.\n\n“You’re not my type.”, Lucy tells him.\n\n“And what type is that? Tall, Dark and Gruesome?”, Fernando mocks back at her.\n\n“Eh… No. I don’t mess around with panty waste sissies like you.”, Lucy tells him.\n\n“I’m a panty waste?”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“You’re worse. You’re a plastic bubble boy who thinks he can outdo the world only to die from doing so. Don’t you understand nobody likes a stupid hero like you?”, Lucy shoots back at him.\n\n“A hero aint nothing but a sandwich.”, Fernando throws back at her. “I do what I can for what I want for as long as I need too. And if it helps others along the way, then so be it.”\n\n“A hero aint nothing but a sandwich… remind me to write that one down.”, Lucy says. “Now, can I count on you to do me this favor?”\n\n“If it were another day, I would do it. Seriously, I would. But Today at 3PM my doctor will be picking me up from here for more tests.”, he tells her.\n\n“That same lady I saw at your house?”, she asks. “She looks like she could be your mother.”\n\n“We’re both the same species, that’s why. Mom is something entirely different.”, he explains.\n\n“You sure you were not the adopted one?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“I’m sure.”, he tells her.\n\n“Alright. What about Saturday?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“I wont be here on Saturday.”, Fernando tells her, “I’ll be at Flying School with my doctor.”\n\n“With your doctor?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“I need to be stress tested to see what are my limits before I become too weak before I start with school.”, he tries to explain.\n\n“Maybe it’s a good idea. Rodriguez and his boys would love to get their paws on you when they find out you can get weak by over excursing yourself… they would run you ragged and then pounce on your like lions on a wounded wilder beast.”, Lucy tells him.\n\n“Well, I hope you will come to my rescue when that happens.”, Fernando says.\n\n“HA! I wont get my hands dirty when it come to them. You’re on your own on this one.”, Lucy tells him in a cold stern tone.\n\n“Hmm… I was hoping that maybe next week, if I am up to it, I would not mind volunteering a day here.”, he says.\n\n“I needed you today.”, Lucy throws back at him.\n\n“You want me? Alright. 2 hours… from now to 12noon. The tower chair at the deep end by the shade, and my little sister camping under me.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“Huh?”, Lucy says.\n\n“You heard me. From now to noon. After that I’m going to need some rest before my doctor comes in. Where I’ll be, I’ll be backing up your crew. At the same time I can keep an eye on my little sister at the same time.”, he almost demands.\n\n“Alright. Change.”, she orders him.\n\n“Wha…?”, Fernando replies.\n\n“You heard me, change, right here and now.”, Lucy says.\n\n“In front of you?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“Why not? I seen guys change before, and I was impressed with what you were packing yesterday.”, she explains.\n\n“You just lost me there.”, he answers back.\n\n“Huh?’, Lucy almost exclaims.\n\nFernando turns and starts to walk to the door. He holds onto the door knob, as he tell her, “Ethics and morals. You seem to have none.”\n\n“What? You a church boy or something?”, she asks.\n\n“Is, was, whatever. Call me chicken all you want, but unless I’m about to do her, I don’t undress in front of girl except for my little sister.”, he answers.\n\n“I bet you do her too.”, Lucy throws back at him. The sudden silence gives her an answer. “So you do. Well, many in Pouncefield do. Nothing to be ashamed of…. But I will warn you, if Rodriguez and his friends cant pick on you, they will pick on her.”\n\n“They do, they die.”, he says sternly.\n\n“So… you are protective of her.”, Lucy mocks back.\n\n“She protects me when I’m too weak to do anything. Like I told you, help me and I’ll help you. I do with her unconditionally.”, Fernando throws back. He opens the door and steps out. “I’ll change in the men’s locker room.”\n\n“Hmmm….”, Lucy thinks to herself. “Looks like Superman has a Lois Lane. Too bad for him.” She walks out of the office to alert the crew of the ‘new addition.’\n\nFernando changes in the Men’s locker room, securing his things in a locker with his pad lock. Rachel was patiently waiting at the locker exit. Once he comes out, he takes her by the wrist and leads her to the far end of the pool.\n\n“Where are we going?”, Rachel asks.\n\n“Going to do that bitch a favor. Damn, me and my stupid mouth, I swear,”, He says loudly but to himself.\n\n“For the whole day?”, Rachel asks.\n\nHe stops and turns to her. “No, just for a couple of hours. Until Lunchtime. That’s all.”, Fernando explains.\n\nRachel sighs. “OK. I can deal with that. Now where are we going?”\n\n“To that life guard tower chair at the deep end in the shade.”, he explains. “You can camp under it like last year.”\n\nShe just smiles momentarily, then runs to the tower chair station and sets up camp there. Fernando takes his time getting there, climbing up on the tower to sit down on its high seat when he does.\n\nNo one seems to notice the new addition sitting almost out of place at the deep end when it was closed. Lucy walks to him and climbs up on the chair but not to sit on it. She hands him a whistle on a lanyard.\n\n“Put that on, you’re out of uniform without it.”, she tells him.\n\n“Gee, thanks. Can I get what left of the Cracker Jacks too?”, Fernando mocks at her.\n\n“No.”, Lucy tells him. “Now behave yourself. Mrs. Trousers will drop by later to see how you are doing.”\n\n“Fine by me.”, Fernando tells her as he puts the lanyard around his neck.\n\n“Need anything before I go?”, Lucy asks, almost sounding courteous and professional.\n\n“No thanks. If I need anything, I’ll have Rachel get it for me.”, he answers.\n\n“I see. Just to let you know, no eating or drinking while you are up there.”, she adds with authority.\n\n“Fine. I’ll play my harmonica if I get bored.”, he mocks her authority. Then he points out to the pool to a pair of couples, girls getting on the shoulders of boys trying to knock the others down, “Tell your idiots to wake up… there is no horse playing in the water!”\n\n“I’ll get on it.”, Lucy says. She climbs down, and runs to the shallow end where the horse play ws, blowing her whistle loudly to get their attention. After ending the game she yells at the life guard closest to the scene.\n\nMrs. Trousers steps out of the First Aide station, watching over the commotion. She then decides to walk over to check on Fernando.\n\nShe looks up at him, “Hey, you sleeping up there?”\n\n“When you sleep in trees, you learn how to be very still.”, Fernando throws back at her.\n\n“Why you did not picked up what happened?”, Mrs. Trousers asks.\n\n“Ask Lucy what happened.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“I will.”, Mrs. Trousers tells him. Seeing Lucy heading back, she decides to intercept her along the way. Fernando trains his hearing on them.\n\n“What happened?”, Mrs. Trousers asks.\n\n“A few losers decided to have a Horse game in the water.”, Lucy answers.\n\n“Raul picked it up like he should?”, Mrs. Trousers asks.\n\n“No. The dumb fuck was sleeping in the chair. Fernando picked it up from his end while I was explaining a few rules.”, Lucy explained.\n\n“I see.”, Mrs. Trouser says as she turns to see what Fernando was doing. He nods back at her. “I thought he cant see.”\n\n“He told me that his doctor will be picking him later today. Maybe you should talk with her about his abilities.”, Lucy explains.\n\nFor the next hour and a half the pool was pretty boring. Even with Edna and her friends coming to cool down, did not notice his presence on the other end of the pool. Cathy, her twin and Juanita had not shown up during this time or else they would have saw him up in the tower chair and established camp by his chair. With Lucy doing the occasional patrol around the pool’s deck, putting everyone in check where ever she could.\n\nThe clock on the building says 12noon, though being aware of it Fernando sits on the high chair. He waits for Lucy to head his way from the far end, following each step as she walked towards his direction. With about 25 feet remaining, Fernando stretches on his chair and yawns. Lucy grabs onto the rungs of the tower high chair, climbing half way up. Mrs. Trousers comes out of the first aide station and heads to him as well.\n\n“Its 12o’clock.”, Lucy tells him.\n\n“I know.”, Fernando replies.\n\n“Your shift is over.”, Lucy tries to remind him.\n\n“I’m getting down when I’m ready.”, he tells her. “The rest of your hung over drunken staff arrive yet?”\n\n“Everyone’s here.”, Lucy says but not too happy to admit their condition.\n\n“Excuse me, Fernando.”, Mrs. Trousers started to say. “Its 12o’clock.”\n\n“I know that.”, he stated as he slowly got up. “Now if you don’t mind…”, he then dives off the chair into the deep end of the pool. He plunges down to the floor of the pool, where he pushes off to get back up to break the surface. Grabbing onto the ledge of the pool, he jumps out of the water and stand on the ledge.\n\nRachel was there waiting for him with a towel to wipe his face down under his glasses. After a while, he takes the towel off his face.\n\n“She does everything for you?”, Lucy almost mocks at him.\n\n“She knows her place around me.”, Fernando tells her sternly.\n\n“You weren’t supposed to do that.”, Mrs. Trousers says.\n\n“No?”, Fernando asks. “Why not?”\n\n“There is no coverage on this end for you.”, Mrs. Trousers reiterated.\n\n“Both of you were here.”, Fernando says.\n\n“Not good enough.”, Mrs. Trousers says. “Next time, don’t do it again.”\n\nFernando just nods before going for his stuff. “Come on Rachel. Lets get some hotdogs and sodas before making a new camp.” Rachel was already rolling up the towels on the floor. They start to walk away from the deep end.\n\n“HEY!”, Lucy yells at them. Both Fernando and Rachel stop, turning to face her. “Thank you.”, she yells back at them.\n\n“Yeah…”, Fernando yells at her. He and Rachel continues to the rear area where the food vendors were. There they sit together and have a small lunch of hot dogs, soda, and potato chips. While they eat, Lucy joins them, sitting across from Fernando.\n\n“That stuff will stunt your growth.”, Lucy tells them. Fernando looks over to her plate.\n\n“Looks like you are having the same thing.”, he replies.\n\n“Too late for me. I’ll be this size forever.”, Lucy tries to make conversation.\n\n“Like you said. Too late for us too.”, Fernando tries to make it short.\n\n“Hmmm… Your sister always this quiet and serving to you?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“Why you ask that?”, he asks.\n\n“I know most girls might love their older brothers but none are willing to serve them hand and foot like what I have seen of her.”, Lucy answers. “And why is she not talking?”\n\n“What she does for me is of her own choosing. I’m not forcing her to do anything for me what I cant or wont do for myself, and she helps me during those times when I cant.”, he explains.\n\n“She still does not talk. Anyways. You said you have a brother. What is he like?”, Lucy continues prodding into his personal life.\n\n“He’s a bad boy grey squirrel version of me. Besides, I’m sure Rodriguez have already told you about him since they met up several times.”, Fernando answers.\n\n“Are you insinuating that I know Rodriguez well?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“You seem to connect everything to him. Plus you seem to know things about him that most don’t. And as of yesterday’s little stunt, he would not be there unless you arranged for him to be there. By the way, how is the chump?”, Fernando answers.\n\n“He’s as fine as one can be after having a fire extinguisher slammed into his head. Actually I don’t know. I have not seen him since then and when I returned to check on the Chlorine levels, he was not there.”, Lucy answers.\n\n“Hmmm…”, Fernando says to himself.\n\n“According to Rodriguez, it was a grey squirrel and a beige squirrel that kicked his gang’s ass. They were armed with guns and swords.”, Lucy went on.\n\n“What does that have to do with anything?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“Lovely Katana collection you have displayed above your computer.”, Lucy says.\n\n“They don’t come down off the display.”, he tells her.\n\n“Anyways. Explain to me how you can see those fools horsing around but need your sister and your cane to get around?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“Up close I cant see, but further away, more light can get through these glasses the further away things are.”, Fernando lies. Strangely enough, his glasses are dark enough to do a strange trick of blocking out the sun but not the stars in the daylight sky. He takes then off, keeping his eyes closed and hands them to Lucy. “Put them on.”\n\n“What for?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“Put them on, look at the sun and tell me what you see.”, he tells her.\n\nShe does as he tells her, looking up at the sun or close to it. “What are those dots?”, she asks as she looks back down, taking off his glasses and putting it in his hands.\n\n“Those are the stars you can not see during the day time.”, he explains as he puts on his glasses. “The glasses are strong enough to block out the sun but not the stars.”\n\n“That is strange.”, Lucy says.\n\nFernando starts to crumple up his paper plate and napkins, looking at Rachel. “Want more?”, he asks. She nods. “You got the money, get me a soda and another bag of chips.”\n\nShe does not say a word but just does, taking the crumpled up garbage off the table and putting it in the garbage.\n\n“You doing your sister lovely or she still a virgin?”, Lucy throws at him.\n\n“What the fuck you want to know that for?”, Fernando says.\n\n“Just want to know. The norm here is brothers and sisters having sex when they can.”, Lucy explains.\n\n“Just brothers and sisters or children like us in general fuck each other?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“More or less everyone does it. Its no secret that we tend to yiff all the time. But seriously, brothers and sisters tend to do it more than everyone else.”, Lucy explains.\n\n“I rather have Rachel explain it.”, he tells her.\n\n“Ashamed that you’re rocking your little sister’s world?”, Lucy mocks at him.\n\nRachel returns, sitting by him as she hands Fernando a can of soda and a bag of chips.\n\n“Go ask her.”, he tells Lucy.\n\n“Alright.”, Lucy begins. “Rachel, you a virgin or is your brother doing you lovely?”\n\nRachel turns to face her with anger in her eyes. “Why the fuck you want to know?!!”, she almost yells back at her.\n\n“Uhm… no reason, but a lot of brothers and sisters do it here…”, Lucy says, a bit of nervousness hints at her voice.\n\n“If you want to know, I was gang raped in New York…”, Rachel growls at her.\n\n“Gang raped? I’m sorry… I did not mean too… intrude…”, Lucy says nervously, inching back as Rachel inched forward towards her.\n\n“Six to eight guys, each holding me down and taking turns raping me, on two separate occasions… ever been in that position, helpless to do anything and forced to do things that you would normally not want to do?!! Them taking away the one thing you hold most dear to you?”, Rachel explains. She points at Fernando, “It would have been a third time if it wasn’t for him stopping it!”\n\nLucy looks at Fernando. “You stopped a gang rape?”\n\nFernando just nods. He reaches out to Rachel and holds her, feeling her trembling ever so slightly from her anger.\n\n“He did!”, Rachel throws at her. “And if he ever wants sex from me, I would gladly give it because I owe him my life!”\n\n“There is no way you could do that…”, Lucy started to say. “I mean, stop a gang rape alone.”\n\n“Five years at the East Harlem Karate Academy was a worthwhile investment.”, Fernando says.\n\n“Didn’t they have guns and knives?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“The only gun they had was pointed to Rachel’s head.”, Fernando tells her, holding her a little tighter, “The others had bats, chains and knives. I target necks, knees and elbows. I must admit that I could not have saved her if she didn’t save me.”\n\n“Save you? What you mean by that?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“When the idiot with the gun saw that he was the only one left standing, he tried to shoot me. Instead, Rachel bit his arm so hard that she pulled muscles and tendons out. Ever heard a punk scream like a little girl? Anyways, he lets her go and I took care of him by bouncing his head off the floor. Months later her mother dies and my family adopts her. End of story.”, he explains.\n\n“That makes you a hero.”, Lucy says.\n\n“Like I told you before, ‘A hero aint nothing but a sandwich.’”, her tells her.\n\n“She willing to give you anything you want.”, Lucy says.\n\n“I don’t force her to do things she don’t want to do. Nor does she do the same to me. What we have is maybe more than what most brothers and sisters have. I love her for it and the things she does for me.”, he replies.\n\n“So are you doing it or not?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“No.”, Rachel answers before he could.\n\n“I would not take advantage of her like that.”, he adds.\n\n“But you two sleep in the same room together.”, Lucy states.\n\n“So? I’ve seen her naked, we sleep together in my bed some times, and we even take showers together on some days… big deal. She is there for me to take care of me when I’m too weak to get up to do it myself and in case that one blood vessel pops in my head and incapacitates me. Until then we share a life together.”, he says.\n\n“A little too convenient.”, Lucy says.\n\n“Think what you like. But like I asked, what about you helping me?”, he says and asks.\n\n“Within reason, I’ll do what I can. Don’t expect me to sleep with you.”, Lucy says.\n\n“That’s what I got her for.”, Fernando mocks at her. “But seriously, I’m not expecting miracles from anyone. Just some help and my time in the sun.”\n\n“Anything else?”, Lucy asks. Mrs. Trousers arrives at their table.\n\n“Lucy, don’t take too long with lunch.”, Mrs. Trousers says.\n\n“I’ll be done in a few minutes.”, Lucy replies.\n\nMrs. Trousers turns to Fernando. “Thank you for giving us your time. Before you leave I would like you to come and sign some papers.”\n\n“What kind of papers?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“Just a standard volunteer form. You know, just in case you need medical attention, who we contact, stuff like that.”, Mrs. Trousers explains.\n\n“Papers that dismiss you from responsibility and obligations in case I get hurt on the job…”, he says. “Get them ready and I will sign them before I leave.”\n\n“Good. And again, thank you.”, Mrs. Trousers says.\n\nMrs. Trousers walks back to her first aide station.\n\n“You going back to work?”, Fernando asks Lucy.\n\n“In time.”, she answers.\n\n“So, what it is between you and her?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“What do you mean by that?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“Take it as you want. But if you want to answer, what is the extent of your relationship with her?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“She’s a mentor, giving me opportunities that would be wasted on these idiots out there.”, Lucy explains.\n\n“I see. She has a family of her own?”, Fernando throws back.\n\n“I don’t know about her private life.”, she answers.\n\n“Interesting.”, he says.\n\n“What do you mean by that?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“Many here have told me many thing about you and her. Some bad, some good, but not enough to make you shine above everyone here. Anyways, I prefer to find the truth myself.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“I see.”, Lucy replies. “Now about you. Girlfriends?”\n\n“Too many to count.”, he says to himself.\n\n“Eh?”, Lucy responds.\n\n“In New York, I had something like 9 girl friends and 4 or 5 girls as friends. Now I moved here, one girlfriend and one girl as a friend and their families moved here with me.”, Fernando explains. “To tell you the truth, some girls are more trouble than they are worth.”\n\n“I can say the same about boys.”, Lucy adds.\n\n“Anyways. You met them.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“Virgin?”, Lucy asks.\n\n“You?”, Fernando throws back.\n\n“Not in a long while. Anyways, you?”, she throws back at him.\n\n“Like you said, not in a long while.”, Fernando explains.\n\n“Still getting some?”, Lucy asks\n\n“You?”, Fernando throws back at her.\n\n“Not in a long while. Again, you?”, Lucy answers.\n\n“Not since I moved here.”, he answers.\n\n“I’m sure your little sister is willing to make you happy.”, Lucy throws at him.\n\n“I’m sure she does, but there are certain lines that we wont cross. She is my sister, adopted or not.”, Fernando explains,\n\nLucy nods slightly. Then she crumples up her empties and dumps them in the trash. “See you later, and don’t forget to sign those papers for Mrs. Trousers.”, she says as she slowly walks away backwards. She then turns around and trots around the pool and back to the first aide station.\n\nFernando buries his face into Rachel’s hair and kisses her head. “Thanks.”, he tells her.\n\n“I understand that we have to keep our relationship a secret from people like her.”, Rachel turns to face him. “Now… you sure that she is the key to making you an Alpha?”\n\n“I’m sure.”, he answers. “I now got this place in my pocket.”\n\nEdna, Laura and Cynthia comes and sits across from them.\n\n“We did not see you here…”, Edna started to say.\n\n“Ever heard of hiding in plain sight?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“No…”, Edna answers. “Anyways. Now that you are here, how you like Pouncefield thus far?”\n\n“Its not New York City.”, Fernando says.\n\n“Which is better?”, Cynthia throws in.\n\n“The jury is still out on that, besides the fact that there are no corner stores on every block that are opened until midnight.”, Fernando tells her.\n\n“There are corner stores open until midnight?”, Edna asks.\n\n“New York is a big city, Edna.”, Cynthia says.\n\n“Oh…”, Edna says. Edward and Pokeinfo arrive with trays of food for them to eat, placing it on the table between them and the girls.\n\n“We did not see you guys come in.”, Edward says.\n\n“We decided to go eat first…”, Fernando says.\n\n“Its not good to swim on a full stomach.”, Edna says. “You’ll get cramps.”\n\n“That’s why we are resting first… before we go into the water.”, Fernando replies.\n\n“Say… Rachel is it?”, Cynthia asks. “How would you like to join the soccer team?”\n\n“No. But thanks for the offer.”, Rachel tells her.\n\n“But… why?”, Cynthia asks.\n\n“I have important responsibilities to take care of.”, Rachel answers.\n\n“Don’t you have any free time?”, Cynthia pushes the subject. “Its just practice every other Saturday and 6 games in the season, 12 if we make the championships.”\n\n“Not interested.”, Rachel says.\n\n“But…”, Cynthia started to say.\n\n“Leave it, Cynthia.”, Pokeinfo says. “If she don’t want to be on the soccer team, she don’t want to be on the soccer team.”\n\nShe remains silent though she thinks she should push the subject. At least if not today, another day.\n\n“Well hopefully, Lucy wont harass us today.”, Edward says to himself.\n\n“Not nice to talk about people behind their backs.”, Fernando stated.\n\n“What? You siding for her?”, Edward asks in near panic.\n\n“I’m just saying…”. Fernando says.\n\n“Hey, what is that?!!”, Edna says as she reaches to something hanging around his neck. She takes it and looks at it. “It’s a St. Lovejoy’s whistle! Where you got that from?”\n\nFernando snatches thee whistle from Edna’s hand. “You mind? I don’t snatch things off your body. Don’t do it to me.”, he tells her sternly.\n\n“But where did you get that!”, Edna says loudly. “Only Mrs. Trousers and Lucy has those!”\n\n“What about the rest of the life guard squad?”, Fernando starts to say, “Don’t they all have whistles on a lanyard around their necks?”\n\n“But having it means that you are part of their crew.”, Edward says.\n\n“But having it mean that you are part of their crew…”, Fernando mocks him. “Get real, alright! I did a favor for them and they gave me the whistle. It don’t mean shit. “\n\n“Yes it does.”, Edna complains.\n\n“It does not, because…”, Fernando begins to explain, “…it does not mean that you are not invited into my house if I have a party, nor does it exclude her either. So consider my house Neutral Territory.”\n\n“Why yesterday you said that you don’t eat peanuts?”, Laura asks.\n\n“Peanuts contain a trypsin inhibitor that prevents the absorption of protein in the intestines. They are also deficient in several essential nutrients and has been found to cause metabolic bone disease, a common ailment found in malnourished squirrels. So basically peanuts are junk food for squirrels.”, Fernando explains.\n\n“What about Cyanide in Almonds?”, Laura decides to test his knowledge.\n\n“Would you eat an almond that smelled funny?”, Fernando asks.\n\n“No…”, Laura asks.\n\n“That answers your question.”, Fernando says.\n\n“Why do you have to be so mean?”, Edna asks.\n\n“Actually, I’m not mean. Just private.”, Fernando starts off. Looking at Edna, “Like when you were flopping my arm around while I was asleep on medication. I was aware of that.”\n\n“EEP!”, Edna holds back from saying further.\n\n“I would want fun as much as the next person, but I am to be to be respected and at times left alone. I prefer my privacy above all else.”, Fernando tells them. “Who I have fun with is my business unless I make it your business.”\n\n“Make our business?”, they all asked.\n\n“Inviting you to parties and things.”, Fernando answers.\n\n“Oh…” they all say with a few individual comments thrown in.\n\n“You ready to go to the pool?”, Fernando asks Rachel.\n\nShe does not answer but crushes the empties and puts them in the trash. She returns to take the towels and heads off to make camp at the shallow end.\n\n“Something the matter with her?”, Edna asks.\n\n“I don’t know. But I’ll find out and take care of it.”, Fernando answers. He gets up and starts walking to the shallow end. The others clean up the area before heading down to the pool.\n\nUnder a minute Fernando reaches Rachel and sits next to her. “You OK?”, he asks.\n\n“Can we go home?”, she asks.\n\n“We can.”, he tells her.\n\nHe helps her up and gather their belongings before heading into the locker room to change. He meets her outside as he dressed faster than she did. Once they meet, they head home, some five to eight minute walk depending on their pace. This trip took considerably longer then normal.\n\nOnce in the house, they walk upstairs to their room. Fernando dumps everything at the room’s table. Rachel sat on his bed, unsure what she was feeling. He sits down next to her.\n\n“You OK?”, he asks.\n\n“I didn’t want people here to know I was gang raped, but I said it. And now she is going to spread it”, Rachel says.\n\nFernando reaches over and holds her. “Look. Gang raped, raped, or not, you are still my little sister, my loving sweet beautiful sister who loves me and I love her back, and nobody is going to take that away from me. You understand that?”\n\n“I don’t want people to be thinking that being raped that I’m some sort of a slut.”, Rachel says. “I’m a nice girl, I really am.”\n\n“I know you are.”, he says as he kisses the top of her head. “Look. I can talk to Lucy about this and tell her not to tell anyone about this.”\n\n“Would you?”, Rachel asks.\n\n“I’ll call her now.”, Fernando says.\n\n“Not now. Later. Just hold me.”, she tells him.\n\n- End of: Second to Last Thursday. -",
"writing_bbcode_parsed": "<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>Chapter 23: Second to Last Thursday.<br /><br />Both Fernando and Rachel slept well after the half hour of sex he gave her at right before midnight. Rachel wakes earlier then expected; 5:30AM instead of an hour later. Though still asleep, Fernando had a hard on that Rachel could not ignore. Being more than happy to oblige, she gives him a blow job under the sheets.<br /><br />At ten to six, she gets out of bed and starts her daily hygiene routine. With more time on her hands she takes a longer shower then what she&rsquo;s used too. Seeing Rachel coming into the kitchen from upstairs, she finishes the first of 3 plates for the children and tells her to sit down at the dining table.<br /><br />As she finishes preparing Rachel breakfast, she asks her a few questions.<br /><br />&ldquo;Who was that girl and what she wanted with Fernando?&rdquo;, Grandma asks in Spanish as she puts down a breakfast plate down on the table for her with a glass of OJ.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know. She works at the pool like Fernando used too in New York.&rdquo;, Rachel says as she pours the maple syrup on her Monte Carlo.<br /><br />&ldquo;Maybe she wants Fernando to work there? I say no. I don&rsquo;t want him stressed out and getting headaches from a summer job for less than minimum wage.&rdquo;, Grandma tells her. &ldquo; You are all to have fun and start getting ready for school. It starts in less than 2 weeks.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Yeah&hellip;&rdquo;, Rachel says as she tries to eat her breakfast between the questions.<br /><br />&ldquo;Fernando needs to get into a habit of waking up early like you do. Even Jorge needs to wake up earlier too.&rdquo;, Grandma says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Jorge always take over the bathroom and locks the door.&rdquo;, Rachel complains.<br /><br />&ldquo;Then you use the downstairs bathroom if that happens.&rdquo;, Grandma throws back at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Yeah.&rdquo;, Rachel sighs.<br /><br />&ldquo;Look young lady. I&rsquo;m giving you a lot of responsibility because those boys cant or wont take it. Fernando is too sick all the time and Jorge is getting too used to the whip to make it effective.&rdquo;, Grandma explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;Jorge is a good boy. Its just he angry that Fernando gets everything and he don&rsquo;t.&rdquo;, Rachel throws back at her. &ldquo;I get almost nothing but what Fernando gives me I treasure it.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;If Jorge was a good boy he would not be trying to join gangs or bully his classmates. I&rsquo;m surprised that he hasn&rsquo;t raped you yet.&rdquo;, Grandma tells her.<br /><br />Rachel does not answer, the last bit she took being a bit hard to swallow.<br /><br />&ldquo;That is all that boy thinks about&hellip; fighting and beating people up.&rdquo;, Grandma adds. &ldquo; If he picks on Fernando, you let me know.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I will&hellip;&rdquo;, Rachel says putting her head down.<br /><br />Time passes without notice, and Jorge comes downstairs dressed up ready to go. &ldquo; What&rsquo;s for breakfast?&rdquo;, he asks in Spanish.<br /><br />Grandma gets out of the chair and go the kitchen to prepare his meal. He takes the seat she was in.<br /><br />&ldquo;Why was Lucy here?&rdquo;, Jorge asks in English.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know. She wanted to see Fernando about something and then said nothing.&rdquo;, Rachel answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;You know her boyfriends are in the gang.&rdquo;, Jorge warns her.<br /><br />&ldquo;So. The hoe got boyfriends. She&rsquo;s no better than Mary was. At least the gang here are punks.&rdquo;, Rachel tells him. &ldquo;Maybe you can get lucky and get some from her.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I wouldn&rsquo;t fuck her with your dick if you had one.&rdquo;, Jorge tells her as Grandma puts his breakfast plate in front of him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Speak in Spanish.&rsquo;, Grandma tells them.<br /><br />&ldquo;Sorry Grandma.&rdquo;, Rachel tells her in Spanish.<br /><br />&ldquo;And what about you?&rdquo;, Grandma turns to Jorge.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m just telling her that there are some bad boys to watch out for.&rdquo;, Jorge tells her in Spanish.<br /><br />&ldquo;Bad Boys? As in Gangs?&rdquo;, Grandma asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Not like in New York City, but yeah.&rdquo;, Jorge answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Gangs or not, I don&rsquo;t want you associated with them!&rdquo;, Grandma tells him loudly.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m Not!&rdquo;, Jorge yells at her back.<br /><br />Grandma gives him a stern look. Before she could say anything, Rachel distracts her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Finished!&rdquo;, Rachel says as she holds out her plate.<br /><br />Grandma looks at her for a moment before taking her plate to the kitchen. Jorge takes a couple of wolf bites and swallows much of his breakfast as possible. He then gulps his glass of OJ before getting up and running out the house.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll call up later.&rdquo;, as he leaves through the door.<br /><br />Grandma comes back, seeing Jorge had left his glass and plate on the table. She takes the plate and glass with her to the kitchen, complaining about the boy.<br /><br />Fernando comes down in just his t-shirt and underwear looking like the end results of a Mythbusters&rsquo; Experiment gone wrong. He yawns as Grandma puts his breakfast in front of him.<br /><br />&ldquo;School starts in 2 weeks. You need to wake up early like your little sister and get ready for school.&rdquo;, Grandma tells him sternly in Spanish. He just nods at her as he looks at breakfast.<br /><br />&ldquo;What is this?&rdquo;, he asks her.<br /><br />&ldquo;French toast, ham and cheese. I did it differently to see if you like it. Now eat up.&rdquo;, Grandma tells him.<br /><br />Rachel hands him the maple syrup, which he pours onto the meal. He begins to eat it. Grandma brings the third chair of the dining set back to the table, where she had it in the kitchen to reach into the high shelves with. She sits between Rachel and Fernando.<br /><br />&ldquo;Dr. Leary called yesterday. She told me that she wanted to take you (Fernando) to some flying club on Saturday to improve your skills. She told me that the health insurance will cover the cost as part of his rehab.&rdquo;, Grandma explained.<br /><br />&ldquo;What you told her?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />Grandma almost ignores her as she turns to Fernando. &ldquo;I know you fly and I warn you that because you cant see you are going to crash into something. I recognize those bruises. My brothers used to fly too as did my sister and I. But we are not pure-bed fliers. You listening to me boy?&rdquo;, she taps his forehead with her knuckles at the end.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m listening&hellip; Then I&rsquo;m going to bed&hellip;&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Look. You&rsquo;re going with Dr. Leary and you&rsquo;re taking your sister with you. Any sign of trouble you tell Dr. Leary to take you home. And don&rsquo;t try to show off with stunt flying. You&rsquo;re there to relax to get your pressure down, not crashing into every piece in the obstacle course. And dress cleanly. Look like you came from a respectable family and not from some homeless bums living in some abandoned car under a highway overpass. You listening?&rdquo;, Grandma tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m listening.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />Grandma puts thirty dollars on the table. &ldquo;Ten dollars each. If you see Jorge, give him his share. Go outside and have fun. Don&rsquo;t sleep the day away. I&rsquo;m going food shopping.&rdquo;, Grandma tells them. She gets up puts the chair under the table before going to the kitchen and gathers her things. &ldquo;Rachel, clean up after him and put away his plate and glass and keep an eye on him.&rdquo;, Grandma says as she walks by. A minute later she was walking down the block with her shopping cart.<br /><br />&ldquo;What you want to do today?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Sleep.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;But&hellip; there&rsquo;s a whole day out there!&rdquo;, Rachel says.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll decide later when I wake up.&rdquo;, he says. He gets up and takes his empties to the sink with Rachel right behind her. He puts them into the sink and begins to wash them but Rachel pushes him out the way.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll do it. You go take a shower, you have my scent all over you.&rdquo;, Rachel tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Most of the time you smell like me because you don&rsquo;t shower after we do it.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />Rachel momentarily freezes as she was washing the plate, unsure how to answer. After a moment she finally does, &ldquo;Well, brothers and sisters do smell similarly.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Girls have their own scent and guys have their own. Only way they would smell similar would be because they fuck all of the time.&rdquo;, he tells her. &ldquo; Not that I&rsquo;m, complaining.&rdquo;<br /><br />Rachel puts away the plate and glass. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not complaining either.&rdquo;, she hesitates for a moment, then grabs his wrist and starts taking him to the stairs. &ldquo;Lets get dressed at least. Where you want to go today, Pool, Park, Museum, Library or the Mall?&rdquo;<br /><br />Before Fernando could answer, the doorbell rings. Rachel lets go of Fernando&rsquo;s wrist and runs to the door. &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t Open The Door!&rdquo;, he yells at her, but she does not listen.<br /><br />Rachel opens the door without looking through the curtained window or peephole, putting her foot to limit how far the door opens to within the width of her body. &ldquo; What are you doing here so early in the morning?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;You always open the door in your underwear?&rdquo;, Lucy answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;What I do naked or clothed in my house is my business. Now what do you want?&rdquo;, Rachel tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;I figure before I report to the pool to drop by and see how your brother is doing.&rdquo;, Lucy stared. &ldquo; He is your brother, right? You two don&rsquo;t even look alike. You&rsquo;re not even the same species.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m adopted but he accepts me as a real sister. And our other brother looks like a regular squirrel because he has a different father from him. Now what&rsquo;s your problem?&rdquo;, Rachel went at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Adopted huh?&rdquo;, Lucy started to say. &ldquo;Anyways. Fernando up or do I have to wake him up?&rdquo;<br /><br />Neither Rachel or Lucy notices the gate opening or somebody walking towards the house. A soft lady-like voice speaks behind Lucy, &ldquo; Is there a problem?&rdquo;<br /><br />Rachel pushes Lucy to the side, &ldquo;Dr. Aiesha? What are you doing here?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Just a home visit, checking up on Fernando and I got some papers for your grandmother to sign.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Grandma is out shopping.&rdquo;, Rachel answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Dr. Aiesha as in a medical doctor?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Dr. Aiesha Leary, I&rsquo;m a Pteromyini Sciuridae specialist.&rdquo;, she tells her. &ldquo;Rachel, is Fernando awake so I can examine him?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;A what?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;A Pteromyini Sciuridae specialist. A doctor who care for flying squirrels like him.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary explains.<br /><br />Rachel opens the door to let her in but Lucy quickly follows into the house. Fernando has sat himself back at the dining area, miffed at Rachel for letting people in, though Dr. Leary he would not mind seeing.<br /><br />Dr. Leary puts her medical bag on the table, giving Fernando a once over. Rachel goes over to the other seat forgetting about Lucy for a moment though Fernando does not.<br /><br />&ldquo;What do you want, Lucy?&rdquo;, Fernando asks her Dr. Leary wraps a blood pressure cuff around his arm.<br /><br />&ldquo;You must be really sick if a doctor has to drop by and check you out. Your plastic bubble broke or something?&rdquo;, Lucy stated.<br /><br />&ldquo;She your girlfriend or something?&rdquo;, Dr. Leary stated, realizing what that question did to his blood pressure reading. &ldquo;350&hellip; Oh my&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;No she is not. She&rsquo;s somebody who I met at the pool.&rdquo;, Fernando says, trying to relax.<br /><br />&ldquo;You don&rsquo;t love me?&rdquo;, Lucy mocked at him. &ldquo; You said that I would be your one and only!&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Look&hellip; Lucy? Sit down over there and be quiet while I examine him.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary tells her sternly.<br /><br />&ldquo;I got to go anyways.&rdquo;, Lucy says. &ldquo;See you later Fernando.&rdquo;, she adds almost musically before leaving through the door.<br /><br />&ldquo;You guys waking up or did I interrupt something?&rdquo;, Dr. Leary asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;We just finished breakfast when that one knocked on the door.&rdquo;, Fernando explained.<br /><br />&ldquo;You relax so I can get a nice low pressure reading.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll try.&rdquo;, Fernando says quietly.<br /><br />After a couple of minutes, Dr. Leary unwraps the cuff from his arm. &ldquo; You should not let things bother you, Fernando.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary tells him. &ldquo; It&rsquo;s a big step towards solving your problem and in becoming a man.&rdquo;, as she shoves a digital thermometer into his mouth.<br /><br />&ldquo;Take off your T-shirt&rdquo;, she tells him. As soon as he takes it off, she puts a cold stethoscope to his chest. After several seconds, she pulls away and takes out the thermometer. &ldquo;Hmmm&hellip; 102.3F&rdquo;, as she writes it down. &ldquo;Except for being a bit stressed out, you&rsquo;re normal.&rdquo;, she then smiles at him.<br /><br />Fernando puts on his t-shirt. Dr. Leary a couple of forms for Grandma to sign and explains it to them that she has to have it by tomorrow afternoon. Rachel takes the forms and puts them on the service island of the kitchen for Grandma to see.<br /><br />&ldquo;Why did you tell Grandma about Saturday?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I came to the realization that if you got hurt flying outside of your home town, I have no legal right to help you and can be sued, if not arrested for what had happened. This is for me to keep you safe.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary explained.<br /><br />&ldquo;So we&rsquo;re not meeting at the restaurant?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll be picking you up from here.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary answers. &ldquo;Any other questions before I go?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;None that I can think of.&rdquo;, Fernando says almost to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;You got some chipmunk repellant so I can spray Lucy with?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;No. But where will you do today?&rdquo;, Dr. Leary asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know.&rdquo;, Rachel answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Sleeping.&rdquo;, Fernando says to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;Though you need rest, you should not be sleeping days away. Its not good for you. You need to be active and moving.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Yes ma&rsquo;am.&rdquo;, Fernando says to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;Maybe you can go to the pool after you spend some time with your little sister and spend some time with your&hellip;friend? Is she the one you had a fight with 2 weeks ago?&rdquo;, Dr. Leary says in realization.<br /><br />&ldquo;She is.&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Has she been coming over to bully you?&rdquo;, Dr. Leary asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;No. I don&rsquo;t know how to describe it.&rdquo;, Fernando started to say. &ldquo;I ask her for a favor and in return she requests the same from me.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;That favor you or her ask, involves sex?&rdquo;, Dr. Leary asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hell No.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo; I see.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary says. &ldquo; You be careful around her. She might seem nice but I have a feeling that she is a bit of a psycho queen.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;At least she admits to not being a nice girl.&rdquo;, Fernando says to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;Don&rsquo;t be afraid to knock her across the teeth if you need too.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary tells him. She looks at her watch, &ldquo; My, I have to get to the hospital before I&rsquo;m late. Look, if you go to the pool, I&rsquo;ll check up on you in the afternoon, say around 3.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;OK... See you later. And Saturday then?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Saturday it is.&rdquo;, Dr. Leary says as she gets up and walks to the door. &ldquo;8o&rsquo;clock.&rdquo;<br /><br />As Rachel walks to the door, the sound of a tiny sports car is heard driving away. She locks the door and walks back to Fernando. &rdquo; You OK?&rdquo;, she asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m fine.&rdquo;, he tells her. &ldquo;Come here.&rdquo;, as he reaches out to her.<br /><br />She takes his hand and sits on his lap.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know what to say or feel right now.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;You love me?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Always.&rdquo;, he answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Then what&rsquo;s the problem?&rdquo;, she asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Its Lucy. I know that much, by why I don&rsquo;t know.&rdquo;, he tries to explain.<br /><br />&ldquo;Lucy and Mary probably came from the same bitch tree as rotten fruit.&rdquo;, she tries to solve his quandary. &ldquo;I understand you need her but you don&rsquo;t want her.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;You&rsquo;re right.&rdquo;, he says. He lets out a sigh, then leans over and kisses her on the nose.<br /><br />&ldquo;You know it does not work on me as it does on you&hellip;&rdquo;, she says with I smile.<br /><br />&ldquo;I know.&rdquo;, he started to say. Fernando slowly got up, cradling Rachel in his arms. &ldquo; But maybe you would take a hint.&rdquo;, as he carried her up the stairs.<br /><br />&ldquo;What kind of hint?&rdquo;, she giggles as she hold on around his neck.<br /><br />Fernando opens the door to their room and carries her to his bed and gently puts her on it. He kneels in front of her, as he reaches towards her panty&rsquo;s waist band and start pulling them down off her. &ldquo; This kind of hint.&rdquo;<br /><br />Once the panties were off, Rachel sits up and pushes her brother onto the bed. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m suppose you give you those hints.&rdquo;, as she starts to pull down on his briefs enough to take his dick and put it in her mouth. He pushes his dick inside her as far as it can go.<br /><br />They continue fucking each other for almost half an hour, with her losing the &lsquo;who will cum first&rsquo; contest they play several times. Each time she came she would hold onto him tightly, wanting more. Her vaginal muscles clamped down tightly on his dick, contracting hard on him when she came. Little less than a half hour of fun, he starts to cum inside her, filling her uterus up with his sperm at the same time she reaches her orgasm.<br /><br />When he finishes pumping his seed into his little sister, she slowly pulls out of her. He lays down next to her. She turns to face him, momentarily smothering him with kisses before cleaning his dick with her tongue. She rests her head don his chest when she is done. For the moment they enjoy the silence of each other&rsquo;s company.<br /><br />Fernando can feel sleep trying to take over him but forces himself to stay awake.<br /><br />&ldquo;Rachel&hellip;&rdquo;, he calls to her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Yes?&rdquo;, she asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I need to take a shower.&rdquo;, he answers her.<br /><br />&ldquo;So do I, thanks to you.&rdquo;, she says with a smile before kissing his nose. She gets up out of bed and quickly grabs a couple of towels to take to the bathroom with. Fernando slowly gets up and goes after her.<br /><br />Rachel had reached into the shower stall and turned on the water, turning the values to the &lsquo;Hot&rsquo; setting. She steps into the shower stall when he steps into the bathroom, and follows her into the shower stall, turning off the lights and putting his glasses into the sink before getting in.<br /><br />The next twelve or so minutes was spent lathering each other up with soap and shampoo. After the fourth cycle of &lsquo;Soak, Lather, Rinse&rsquo;, Rachel puts her fingers through his hair, distracting him enough to reach up and kiss him on the nose. This is followed by reaching behind his neck and jumping up, straddling her legs around his waist. He slip back against the wall and slide down to the floor.<br /><br />&ldquo;You OK?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m OK. Are you?&rdquo;, Fernando answers and then asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m fine.&rdquo;, she says, slowly letting him go, sliding down onto his legs. His penis seems to spring up to life as it came out from behind her. She looks at it and then at her brother, smiling. &ldquo;Care for round two?&rdquo;, she asks as she takes his dick in her hand.<br /><br />&ldquo;Huh?&rdquo;, Fernando started, seeing her smiling at him as the water rained on them both as they sat on the floor. Then he looks at her hand holding her hand holding his erect penis, not too hard or too soft but enough for her to say &lsquo;its mine!&rsquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Oh. No. I mean we could but we would need to take another shower and&hellip;&rdquo;, he started to say as she leans over to him and shuts him up with a kiss to the lips that grows in passion and intensity for the short moment is lasted.<br /><br />She pulls away from him, &ldquo; Its OK. We got things to do, depending on what it is you want to do.&rdquo;, she tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I would like to test Lucy a couple of more times before school starts.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Be careful messing with her. Jorge says that she in the gang.&rdquo;, Rachel tells him, letting go of his dick and kneeling on her knees with his legs in between hers. She takes a couple of steps to him, putting her arms around his head and neck. &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t want you to get hurt, OK? I&rsquo;ll back you up however you need me.&rdquo;, she tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Its OK, Rachel. I dont intend to get hurt in any way. You mind shutting off the water so we can dry off?&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Oh..&rdquo;, she says looking into his eyes. She lets go of him and gets up to turn the water. Fernando slowly gets up and slides the shower door open as soon as the water stops. He reaches over and takes the towels off the rack and takes them inside.<br /><br />Wrapping his little sister in one of the towels, he buffs her dry, followed by he doing himself. Instead she takes the towel and buffs him dry as he did her. Wiping their legs and feet, they step out to the bathroom, continuing to dry each other off. He puts on his glasses from the sink, before turning the lights on in the bathroom.<br /><br />They continue with the rest of their hygienic routine before going back into the room to get dressed. It was still early, a few minutes before ten, but it did not seemed to be of any importance. Either way, They got ready to go to the pool for a second straight day.<br /><br />Before they go, Fernando goes into Jorge&rsquo;s room and puts ten dollars on his Mac Keyboard.<br /><br />As they walk down the street, Rachel asks, &ldquo; Why are you going after Lucy? She&rsquo;s a mean bitch. Just like Mary was&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Every area has its Alpha Male and Alpha Female. According to Edward, Lucy is this community&rsquo;s Alpha Female. As for Alpha Males, there are too many in that position. But if I can get the Alpha Female to accept me then my status will be undisputed as Alpha Male. But its not going to be easy. Jorge and I are going to kick a lot of ass before school starts. And once I&rsquo;m Alpha Male, I can make anyone the Alpha Female.&rdquo;, Fernando explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;As far as I know, its hard enough for you to be Alpha Male in the house with Jorge constantly on your tail. You think you can take over this place and become Alpha Male?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;All I can do is try and if I fail, at least the punks will know better than to pick on me.&rdquo;, he answers.<br /><br />In a minute, passing the restaurant, they end up at the pool&rsquo;s entrance where a line of people was. They stood online with everyone, waiting for the pool to open. A familiar voice greets them at the fence. &ldquo; So your doc decided that you were no longer contagious and let you be free?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What I have would send you in a medically induced coma because you would not be able to handle the pain.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;If you&rsquo;re too sick, then you cant come into the pool.&rdquo;, an adult say as she approached Lucy by the fence. &ldquo;Oh, you again. Going to cause trouble today?&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m not here to cause trouble.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;But trouble does seem to follow you.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers says, opening the gate to only let him and Rachel in. &ldquo; Before I send you two to the locker, let me see your life guard ID again.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Why? I&rsquo;m not here to work. I want to catch some sun and swim some laps.&rdquo;, tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;We&rsquo;re a little short handed and might have to close the pool if I don&rsquo;t get the proper number of water safety agents to maintain a proper level of safety.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers explain. &ldquo; You should know that.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;One life guard for ever 200 or so swimmers in the pool or for every 100 square yards. Your pool size says your need 4 on the towers and 2 checking the deck.&rdquo;, Fernando explains the regulations as he knew them.<br /><br />&ldquo;We only have 3 lifeguards.&rdquo;, Lucy tells him. &ldquo; The most of them went to some party last night and are too sick to report to work.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Call them to report to work or write them up.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her, handing his card with the Speedo attached to it to Mrs. Trousers. &ldquo; In the mean time, close the pool if its unsafe. In my old job, we had a life guard named Teddy Bear. He always reported to work drunk, stoned or whatever on what chemicals he took the night before. Since he likes his money, he reported to work, even if he had to sleep in the tower chairs. Unfortunately, he was my partner and I had to do my work and his as well.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Welcome to St. Love Joys&rsquo; Pool.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers says after reading the card.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m not working here.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her as he takes his Speedo from Mrs. Trousers. Lucy takes him by the wrist and takes him into the office area of the pool.<br /><br />Mrs. Trousers stops Rachel from following, &ldquo; This is between them and a promise he made to her.&rdquo;<br /><br />In a private office marked &lsquo;Mrs. Trousers&rsquo; on the door, Lucy takes Fernando inside locking the door behind them.<br /><br />&ldquo;Look, I need your help now, like you said yesterday, &lsquo;I help you, you help me.&rsquo; Now I need your help.&rdquo;, Lucy tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Cant do it. Really.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her. &ldquo; You should close the pool for the day or open it when the rest of your staff comes in.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Help me and Mrs. Trousers and you will never have to worry about Gym or Swimming Class in school- ever!&rdquo;, Lucy tosses at him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I already have a medical excuse for Gym at school. Besides, if I go out there and work, I&rsquo;ll be useless after one or two rescues. And who is going to carry me home in the condition you saw me in last night?&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />The sound of people entering the gate and into the locker rooms fill the office, followed by a knock on the door, &ldquo;Jonathan, Raul and Thompson came in late! We can open!&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers says loudly from the other side of the door. &ldquo; You Don&rsquo;t Have To Have Sex With Him, We Have Enough Staff!&rdquo;<br /><br />Fernando looks at the door and then at Lucy who was looking back at him, as if she was hiding something.<br /><br />&ldquo;You were not going to do what she said, right?&rdquo;, Fernando asks her.<br /><br />&ldquo;You&rsquo;re not my type.&rdquo;, Lucy tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;And what type is that? Tall, Dark and Gruesome?&rdquo;, Fernando mocks back at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Eh&hellip; No. I don&rsquo;t mess around with panty waste sissies like you.&rdquo;, Lucy tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m a panty waste?&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;You&rsquo;re worse. You&rsquo;re a plastic bubble boy who thinks he can outdo the world only to die from doing so. Don&rsquo;t you understand nobody likes a stupid hero like you?&rdquo;, Lucy shoots back at him.<br /><br />&ldquo;A hero aint nothing but a sandwich.&rdquo;, Fernando throws back at her. &ldquo;I do what I can for what I want for as long as I need too. And if it helps others along the way, then so be it.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;A hero aint nothing but a sandwich&hellip; remind me to write that one down.&rdquo;, Lucy says. &ldquo; Now, can I count on you to do me this favor?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;If it were another day, I would do it. Seriously, I would. But Today at 3PM my doctor will be picking me up from here for more tests.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;That same lady I saw at your house?&rdquo;, she asks. &ldquo; She looks like she could be your mother.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;We&rsquo;re both the same species, that&rsquo;s why. Mom is something entirely different.&rdquo;, he explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;You sure you were not the adopted one?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m sure.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Alright. What about Saturday?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I wont be here on Saturday.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll be at Flying School with my doctor.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;With your doctor?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I need to be stress tested to see what are my limits before I become too weak before I start with school.&rdquo;, he tries to explain.<br /><br />&ldquo;Maybe it&rsquo;s a good idea. Rodriguez and his boys would love to get their paws on you when they find out you can get weak by over excursing yourself&hellip; they would run you ragged and then pounce on your like lions on a wounded wilder beast.&rdquo;, Lucy tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Well, I hope you will come to my rescue when that happens.&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;HA! I wont get my hands dirty when it come to them. You&rsquo;re on your own on this one.&rdquo;, Lucy tells him in a cold stern tone.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hmm&hellip; I was hoping that maybe next week, if I am up to it, I would not mind volunteering a day here.&rdquo;, he says.<br /><br />&ldquo;I needed you today.&rdquo;, Lucy throws back at him.<br /><br />&ldquo;You want me? Alright. 2 hours&hellip; from now to 12noon. The tower chair at the deep end by the shade, and my little sister camping under me.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Huh?&rdquo;, Lucy says.<br /><br />&ldquo;You heard me. From now to noon. After that I&rsquo;m going to need some rest before my doctor comes in. Where I&rsquo;ll be, I&rsquo;ll be backing up your crew. At the same time I can keep an eye on my little sister at the same time.&rdquo;, he almost demands.<br /><br />&ldquo;Alright. Change.&rdquo;, she orders him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Wha&hellip;?&rdquo;, Fernando replies.<br /><br />&ldquo;You heard me, change, right here and now.&rdquo;, Lucy says.<br /><br />&ldquo;In front of you?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Why not? I seen guys change before, and I was impressed with what you were packing yesterday.&rdquo;, she explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;You just lost me there.&rdquo;, he answers back.<br /><br />&ldquo;Huh?&rsquo;, Lucy almost exclaims.<br /><br />Fernando turns and starts to walk to the door. He holds onto the door knob, as he tell her, &ldquo;Ethics and morals. You seem to have none.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What? You a church boy or something?&rdquo;, she asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Is, was, whatever. Call me chicken all you want, but unless I&rsquo;m about to do her, I don&rsquo;t undress in front of girl except for my little sister.&rdquo;, he answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;I bet you do her too.&rdquo;, Lucy throws back at him. The sudden silence gives her an answer. &ldquo; So you do. Well, many in Pouncefield do. Nothing to be ashamed of&hellip;. But I will warn you, if Rodriguez and his friends cant pick on you, they will pick on her.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;They do, they die.&rdquo;, he says sternly.<br /><br />&ldquo;So&hellip; you are protective of her.&rdquo;, Lucy mocks back.<br /><br />&ldquo;She protects me when I&rsquo;m too weak to do anything. Like I told you, help me and I&rsquo;ll help you. I do with her unconditionally.&rdquo;, Fernando throws back. He opens the door and steps out. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll change in the men&rsquo;s locker room.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Hmmm&hellip;.&rdquo;, Lucy thinks to herself. &ldquo;Looks like Superman has a Lois Lane. Too bad for him.&rdquo; She walks out of the office to alert the crew of the &lsquo;new addition.&rsquo;<br /><br />Fernando changes in the Men&rsquo;s locker room, securing his things in a locker with his pad lock. Rachel was patiently waiting at the locker exit. Once he comes out, he takes her by the wrist and leads her to the far end of the pool.<br /><br />&ldquo;Where are we going?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Going to do that bitch a favor. Damn, me and my stupid mouth, I swear,&rdquo;, He says loudly but to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;For the whole day?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />He stops and turns to her. &ldquo; No, just for a couple of hours. Until Lunchtime. That&rsquo;s all.&rdquo;, Fernando explains.<br /><br />Rachel sighs. &ldquo;OK. I can deal with that. Now where are we going?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;To that life guard tower chair at the deep end in the shade.&rdquo;, he explains. &ldquo; You can camp under it like last year.&rdquo;<br /><br />She just smiles momentarily, then runs to the tower chair station and sets up camp there. Fernando takes his time getting there, climbing up on the tower to sit down on its high seat when he does.<br /><br />No one seems to notice the new addition sitting almost out of place at the deep end when it was closed. Lucy walks to him and climbs up on the chair but not to sit on it. She hands him a whistle on a lanyard.<br /><br />&ldquo;Put that on, you&rsquo;re out of uniform without it.&rdquo;, she tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Gee, thanks. Can I get what left of the Cracker Jacks too?&rdquo;, Fernando mocks at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;No.&rdquo;, Lucy tells him. &ldquo; Now behave yourself. Mrs. Trousers will drop by later to see how you are doing.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Fine by me.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her as he puts the lanyard around his neck.<br /><br />&ldquo;Need anything before I go?&rdquo;, Lucy asks, almost sounding courteous and professional.<br /><br />&ldquo;No thanks. If I need anything, I&rsquo;ll have Rachel get it for me.&rdquo;, he answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;I see. Just to let you know, no eating or drinking while you are up there.&rdquo;, she adds with authority.<br /><br />&ldquo;Fine. I&rsquo;ll play my harmonica if I get bored.&rdquo;, he mocks her authority. Then he points out to the pool to a pair of couples, girls getting on the shoulders of boys trying to knock the others down, &ldquo;Tell your idiots to wake up&hellip; there is no horse playing in the water!&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll get on it.&rdquo;, Lucy says. She climbs down, and runs to the shallow end where the horse play ws, blowing her whistle loudly to get their attention. After ending the game she yells at the life guard closest to the scene.<br /><br />Mrs. Trousers steps out of the First Aide station, watching over the commotion. She then decides to walk over to check on Fernando.<br /><br />She looks up at him, &ldquo;Hey, you sleeping up there?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;When you sleep in trees, you learn how to be very still.&rdquo;, Fernando throws back at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Why you did not picked up what happened?&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Ask Lucy what happened.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;I will.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers tells him. Seeing Lucy heading back, she decides to intercept her along the way. Fernando trains his hearing on them.<br /><br />&ldquo;What happened?&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;A few losers decided to have a Horse game in the water.&rdquo;, Lucy answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Raul picked it up like he should?&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;No. The dumb fuck was sleeping in the chair. Fernando picked it up from his end while I was explaining a few rules.&rdquo;, Lucy explained.<br /><br />&ldquo;I see.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trouser says as she turns to see what Fernando was doing. He nods back at her. &ldquo;I thought he cant see.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;He told me that his doctor will be picking him later today. Maybe you should talk with her about his abilities.&rdquo;, Lucy explains.<br /><br />For the next hour and a half the pool was pretty boring. Even with Edna and her friends coming to cool down, did not notice his presence on the other end of the pool. Cathy, her twin and Juanita had not shown up during this time or else they would have saw him up in the tower chair and established camp by his chair. With Lucy doing the occasional patrol around the pool&rsquo;s deck, putting everyone in check where ever she could.<br /><br />The clock on the building says 12noon, though being aware of it Fernando sits on the high chair. He waits for Lucy to head his way from the far end, following each step as she walked towards his direction. With about 25 feet remaining, Fernando stretches on his chair and yawns. Lucy grabs onto the rungs of the tower high chair, climbing half way up. Mrs. Trousers comes out of the first aide station and heads to him as well.<br /><br />&ldquo;Its 12o&rsquo;clock.&rdquo;, Lucy tells him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I know.&rdquo;, Fernando replies.<br /><br />&ldquo;Your shift is over.&rdquo;, Lucy tries to remind him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m getting down when I&rsquo;m ready.&rdquo;, he tells her. &ldquo; The rest of your hung over drunken staff arrive yet?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Everyone&rsquo;s here.&rdquo;, Lucy says but not too happy to admit their condition.<br /><br />&ldquo;Excuse me, Fernando.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers started to say. &ldquo; Its 12o&rsquo;clock.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I know that.&rdquo;, he stated as he slowly got up. &ldquo; Now if you don&rsquo;t mind&hellip;&rdquo;, he then dives off the chair into the deep end of the pool. He plunges down to the floor of the pool, where he pushes off to get back up to break the surface. Grabbing onto the ledge of the pool, he jumps out of the water and stand on the ledge.<br /><br />Rachel was there waiting for him with a towel to wipe his face down under his glasses. After a while, he takes the towel off his face.<br /><br />&ldquo;She does everything for you?&rdquo;, Lucy almost mocks at him.<br /><br />&ldquo;She knows her place around me.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her sternly.<br /><br />&ldquo;You weren&rsquo;t supposed to do that.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers says.<br /><br />&ldquo;No?&rdquo;, Fernando asks. &ldquo; Why not?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;There is no coverage on this end for you.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers reiterated.<br /><br />&ldquo;Both of you were here.&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Not good enough.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers says. &ldquo;Next time, don&rsquo;t do it again.&rdquo;<br /><br />Fernando just nods before going for his stuff. &ldquo;Come on Rachel. Lets get some hotdogs and sodas before making a new camp.&rdquo; Rachel was already rolling up the towels on the floor. They start to walk away from the deep end.<br /><br />&ldquo;HEY!&rdquo;, Lucy yells at them. Both Fernando and Rachel stop, turning to face her. &ldquo;Thank you.&rdquo;, she yells back at them.<br /><br />&ldquo;Yeah&hellip;&rdquo;, Fernando yells at her. He and Rachel continues to the rear area where the food vendors were. There they sit together and have a small lunch of hot dogs, soda, and potato chips. While they eat, Lucy joins them, sitting across from Fernando.<br /><br />&ldquo;That stuff will stunt your growth.&rdquo;, Lucy tells them. Fernando looks over to her plate.<br /><br />&ldquo;Looks like you are having the same thing.&rdquo;, he replies.<br /><br />&ldquo;Too late for me. I&rsquo;ll be this size forever.&rdquo;, Lucy tries to make conversation.<br /><br />&ldquo;Like you said. Too late for us too.&rdquo;, Fernando tries to make it short.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hmmm&hellip; Your sister always this quiet and serving to you?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Why you ask that?&rdquo;, he asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I know most girls might love their older brothers but none are willing to serve them hand and foot like what I have seen of her.&rdquo;, Lucy answers. &ldquo; And why is she not talking?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What she does for me is of her own choosing. I&rsquo;m not forcing her to do anything for me what I cant or wont do for myself, and she helps me during those times when I cant.&rdquo;, he explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;She still does not talk. Anyways. You said you have a brother. What is he like?&rdquo;, Lucy continues prodding into his personal life.<br /><br />&ldquo;He&rsquo;s a bad boy grey squirrel version of me. Besides, I&rsquo;m sure Rodriguez have already told you about him since they met up several times.&rdquo;, Fernando answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Are you insinuating that I know Rodriguez well?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;You seem to connect everything to him. Plus you seem to know things about him that most don&rsquo;t. And as of yesterday&rsquo;s little stunt, he would not be there unless you arranged for him to be there. By the way, how is the chump?&rdquo;, Fernando answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;He&rsquo;s as fine as one can be after having a fire extinguisher slammed into his head. Actually I don&rsquo;t know. I have not seen him since then and when I returned to check on the Chlorine levels, he was not there.&rdquo;, Lucy answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hmmm&hellip;&rdquo;, Fernando says to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;According to Rodriguez, it was a grey squirrel and a beige squirrel that kicked his gang&rsquo;s ass. They were armed with guns and swords.&rdquo;, Lucy went on.<br /><br />&ldquo;What does that have to do with anything?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Lovely Katana collection you have displayed above your computer.&rdquo;, Lucy says.<br /><br />&ldquo;They don&rsquo;t come down off the display.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Anyways. Explain to me how you can see those fools horsing around but need your sister and your cane to get around?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Up close I cant see, but further away, more light can get through these glasses the further away things are.&rdquo;, Fernando lies. Strangely enough, his glasses are dark enough to do a strange trick of blocking out the sun but not the stars in the daylight sky. He takes then off, keeping his eyes closed and hands them to Lucy. &ldquo;Put them on.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What for?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Put them on, look at the sun and tell me what you see.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />She does as he tells her, looking up at the sun or close to it. &ldquo; What are those dots?&rdquo;, she asks as she looks back down, taking off his glasses and putting it in his hands.<br /><br />&ldquo;Those are the stars you can not see during the day time.&rdquo;, he explains as he puts on his glasses. &ldquo; The glasses are strong enough to block out the sun but not the stars.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;That is strange.&rdquo;, Lucy says.<br /><br />Fernando starts to crumple up his paper plate and napkins, looking at Rachel. &ldquo;Want more?&rdquo;, he asks. She nods. &ldquo; You got the money, get me a soda and another bag of chips.&rdquo;<br /><br />She does not say a word but just does, taking the crumpled up garbage off the table and putting it in the garbage.<br /><br />&ldquo;You doing your sister lovely or she still a virgin?&rdquo;, Lucy throws at him.<br /><br />&ldquo;What the fuck you want to know that for?&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Just want to know. The norm here is brothers and sisters having sex when they can.&rdquo;, Lucy explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;Just brothers and sisters or children like us in general fuck each other?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;More or less everyone does it. Its no secret that we tend to yiff all the time. But seriously, brothers and sisters tend to do it more than everyone else.&rdquo;, Lucy explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;I rather have Rachel explain it.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Ashamed that you&rsquo;re rocking your little sister&rsquo;s world?&rdquo;, Lucy mocks at him.<br /><br />Rachel returns, sitting by him as she hands Fernando a can of soda and a bag of chips.<br /><br />&ldquo;Go ask her.&rdquo;, he tells Lucy.<br /><br />&ldquo;Alright.&rdquo;, Lucy begins. &ldquo;Rachel, you a virgin or is your brother doing you lovely?&rdquo;<br /><br />Rachel turns to face her with anger in her eyes. &ldquo; Why the fuck you want to know?!!&rdquo;, she almost yells back at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Uhm&hellip; no reason, but a lot of brothers and sisters do it here&hellip;&rdquo;, Lucy says, a bit of nervousness hints at her voice.<br /><br />&ldquo;If you want to know, I was gang raped in New York&hellip;&rdquo;, Rachel growls at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Gang raped? I&rsquo;m sorry&hellip; I did not mean too&hellip; intrude&hellip;&rdquo;, Lucy says nervously, inching back as Rachel inched forward towards her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Six to eight guys, each holding me down and taking turns raping me, on two separate occasions&hellip; ever been in that position, helpless to do anything and forced to do things that you would normally not want to do?!! Them taking away the one thing you hold most dear to you?&rdquo;, Rachel explains. She points at Fernando, &ldquo; It would have been a third time if it wasn&rsquo;t for him stopping it!&rdquo;<br /><br />Lucy looks at Fernando. &ldquo; You stopped a gang rape?&rdquo;<br /><br />Fernando just nods. He reaches out to Rachel and holds her, feeling her trembling ever so slightly from her anger.<br /><br />&ldquo;He did!&rdquo;, Rachel throws at her. &ldquo; And if he ever wants sex from me, I would gladly give it because I owe him my life!&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;There is no way you could do that&hellip;&rdquo;, Lucy started to say. &ldquo;I mean, stop a gang rape alone.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Five years at the East Harlem Karate Academy was a worthwhile investment.&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Didn&rsquo;t they have guns and knives?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;The only gun they had was pointed to Rachel&rsquo;s head.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her, holding her a little tighter, &ldquo; The others had bats, chains and knives. I target necks, knees and elbows. I must admit that I could not have saved her if she didn&rsquo;t save me.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Save you? What you mean by that?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;When the idiot with the gun saw that he was the only one left standing, he tried to shoot me. Instead, Rachel bit his arm so hard that she pulled muscles and tendons out. Ever heard a punk scream like a little girl? Anyways, he lets her go and I took care of him by bouncing his head off the floor. Months later her mother dies and my family adopts her. End of story.&rdquo;, he explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;That makes you a hero.&rdquo;, Lucy says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Like I told you before, &lsquo;A hero aint nothing but a sandwich.&rsquo;&rdquo;, her tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;She willing to give you anything you want.&rdquo;, Lucy says.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t force her to do things she don&rsquo;t want to do. Nor does she do the same to me. What we have is maybe more than what most brothers and sisters have. I love her for it and the things she does for me.&rdquo;, he replies.<br /><br />&ldquo;So are you doing it or not?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;No.&rdquo;, Rachel answers before he could.<br /><br />&ldquo;I would not take advantage of her like that.&rdquo;, he adds.<br /><br />&ldquo;But you two sleep in the same room together.&rdquo;, Lucy states.<br /><br />&ldquo;So? I&rsquo;ve seen her naked, we sleep together in my bed some times, and we even take showers together on some days&hellip; big deal. She is there for me to take care of me when I&rsquo;m too weak to get up to do it myself and in case that one blood vessel pops in my head and incapacitates me. Until then we share a life together.&rdquo;, he says.<br /><br />&ldquo;A little too convenient.&rdquo;, Lucy says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Think what you like. But like I asked, what about you helping me?&rdquo;, he says and asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Within reason, I&rsquo;ll do what I can. Don&rsquo;t expect me to sleep with you.&rdquo;, Lucy says.<br /><br />&ldquo;That&rsquo;s what I got her for.&rdquo;, Fernando mocks at her. &ldquo; But seriously, I&rsquo;m not expecting miracles from anyone. Just some help and my time in the sun.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Anything else?&rdquo;, Lucy asks. Mrs. Trousers arrives at their table.<br /><br />&ldquo;Lucy, don&rsquo;t take too long with lunch.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers says.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll be done in a few minutes.&rdquo;, Lucy replies.<br /><br />Mrs. Trousers turns to Fernando. &ldquo;Thank you for giving us your time. Before you leave I would like you to come and sign some papers.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What kind of papers?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Just a standard volunteer form. You know, just in case you need medical attention, who we contact, stuff like that.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;Papers that dismiss you from responsibility and obligations in case I get hurt on the job&hellip;&rdquo;, he says. &ldquo;Get them ready and I will sign them before I leave.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Good. And again, thank you.&rdquo;, Mrs. Trousers says.<br /><br />Mrs. Trousers walks back to her first aide station.<br /><br />&ldquo;You going back to work?&rdquo;, Fernando asks Lucy.<br /><br />&ldquo;In time.&rdquo;, she answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;So, what it is between you and her?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;What do you mean by that?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Take it as you want. But if you want to answer, what is the extent of your relationship with her?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;She&rsquo;s a mentor, giving me opportunities that would be wasted on these idiots out there.&rdquo;, Lucy explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;I see. She has a family of her own?&rdquo;, Fernando throws back.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know about her private life.&rdquo;, she answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Interesting.&rdquo;, he says.<br /><br />&ldquo;What do you mean by that?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Many here have told me many thing about you and her. Some bad, some good, but not enough to make you shine above everyone here. Anyways, I prefer to find the truth myself.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;I see.&rdquo;, Lucy replies. &ldquo; Now about you. Girlfriends?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Too many to count.&rdquo;, he says to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;Eh?&rdquo;, Lucy responds.<br /><br />&ldquo;In New York, I had something like 9 girl friends and 4 or 5 girls as friends. Now I moved here, one girlfriend and one girl as a friend and their families moved here with me.&rdquo;, Fernando explains. &ldquo; To tell you the truth, some girls are more trouble than they are worth.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I can say the same about boys.&rdquo;, Lucy adds.<br /><br />&ldquo;Anyways. You met them.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Virgin?&rdquo;, Lucy asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;You?&rdquo;, Fernando throws back.<br /><br />&ldquo;Not in a long while. Anyways, you?&rdquo;, she throws back at him.<br /><br />&ldquo;Like you said, not in a long while.&rdquo;, Fernando explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;Still getting some?&rdquo;, Lucy asks<br /><br />&ldquo;You?&rdquo;, Fernando throws back at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Not in a long while. Again, you?&rdquo;, Lucy answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Not since I moved here.&rdquo;, he answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m sure your little sister is willing to make you happy.&rdquo;, Lucy throws at him.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m sure she does, but there are certain lines that we wont cross. She is my sister, adopted or not.&rdquo;, Fernando explains,<br /><br />Lucy nods slightly. Then she crumples up her empties and dumps them in the trash. &ldquo;See you later, and don&rsquo;t forget to sign those papers for Mrs. Trousers.&rdquo;, she says as she slowly walks away backwards. She then turns around and trots around the pool and back to the first aide station.<br /><br />Fernando buries his face into Rachel&rsquo;s hair and kisses her head. &ldquo; Thanks.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;I understand that we have to keep our relationship a secret from people like her.&rdquo;, Rachel turns to face him. &ldquo; Now&hellip; you sure that she is the key to making you an Alpha?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m sure.&rdquo;, he answers. &ldquo;I now got this place in my pocket.&rdquo;<br /><br />Edna, Laura and Cynthia comes and sits across from them.<br /><br />&ldquo;We did not see you here&hellip;&rdquo;, Edna started to say.<br /><br />&ldquo;Ever heard of hiding in plain sight?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;No&hellip;&rdquo;, Edna answers. &ldquo;Anyways. Now that you are here, how you like Pouncefield thus far?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Its not New York City.&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Which is better?&rdquo;, Cynthia throws in.<br /><br />&ldquo;The jury is still out on that, besides the fact that there are no corner stores on every block that are opened until midnight.&rdquo;, Fernando tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;There are corner stores open until midnight?&rdquo;, Edna asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;New York is a big city, Edna.&rdquo;, Cynthia says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Oh&hellip;&rdquo;, Edna says. Edward and Pokeinfo arrive with trays of food for them to eat, placing it on the table between them and the girls.<br /><br />&ldquo;We did not see you guys come in.&rdquo;, Edward says.<br /><br />&ldquo;We decided to go eat first&hellip;&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Its not good to swim on a full stomach.&rdquo;, Edna says. &ldquo; You&rsquo;ll get cramps.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;That&rsquo;s why we are resting first&hellip; before we go into the water.&rdquo;, Fernando replies.<br /><br />&ldquo;Say&hellip; Rachel is it?&rdquo;, Cynthia asks. &ldquo; How would you like to join the soccer team?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;No. But thanks for the offer.&rdquo;, Rachel tells her.<br /><br />&ldquo;But&hellip; why?&rdquo;, Cynthia asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I have important responsibilities to take care of.&rdquo;, Rachel answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Don&rsquo;t you have any free time?&rdquo;, Cynthia pushes the subject. &ldquo; Its just practice every other Saturday and 6 games in the season, 12 if we make the championships.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Not interested.&rdquo;, Rachel says.<br /><br />&ldquo;But&hellip;&rdquo;, Cynthia started to say.<br /><br />&ldquo;Leave it, Cynthia.&rdquo;, Pokeinfo says. &ldquo; If she don&rsquo;t want to be on the soccer team, she don&rsquo;t want to be on the soccer team.&rdquo;<br /><br />She remains silent though she thinks she should push the subject. At least if not today, another day.<br /><br />&ldquo;Well hopefully, Lucy wont harass us today.&rdquo;, Edward says to himself.<br /><br />&ldquo;Not nice to talk about people behind their backs.&rdquo;, Fernando stated.<br /><br />&ldquo;What? You siding for her?&rdquo;, Edward asks in near panic.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m just saying&hellip;&rdquo;. Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hey, what is that?!!&rdquo;, Edna says as she reaches to something hanging around his neck. She takes it and looks at it. &ldquo; It&rsquo;s a St. Lovejoy&rsquo;s whistle! Where you got that from?&rdquo;<br /><br />Fernando snatches thee whistle from Edna&rsquo;s hand. &ldquo; You mind? I don&rsquo;t snatch things off your body. Don&rsquo;t do it to me.&rdquo;, he tells her sternly.<br /><br />&ldquo;But where did you get that!&rdquo;, Edna says loudly. &ldquo;Only Mrs. Trousers and Lucy has those!&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What about the rest of the life guard squad?&rdquo;, Fernando starts to say, &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t they all have whistles on a lanyard around their necks?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;But having it means that you are part of their crew.&rdquo;, Edward says.<br /><br />&ldquo;But having it mean that you are part of their crew&hellip;&rdquo;, Fernando mocks him. &ldquo;Get real, alright! I did a favor for them and they gave me the whistle. It don&rsquo;t mean shit. &ldquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Yes it does.&rdquo;, Edna complains.<br /><br />&ldquo;It does not, because&hellip;&rdquo;, Fernando begins to explain, &ldquo;&hellip;it does not mean that you are not invited into my house if I have a party, nor does it exclude her either. So consider my house Neutral Territory.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Why yesterday you said that you don&rsquo;t eat peanuts?&rdquo;, Laura asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Peanuts contain a trypsin inhibitor that prevents the absorption of protein in the intestines. They are also deficient in several essential nutrients and has been found to cause metabolic bone disease, a common ailment found in malnourished squirrels. So basically peanuts are junk food for squirrels.&rdquo;, Fernando explains.<br /><br />&ldquo;What about Cyanide in Almonds?&rdquo;, Laura decides to test his knowledge.<br /><br />&ldquo;Would you eat an almond that smelled funny?&rdquo;, Fernando asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;No&hellip;&rdquo;, Laura asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;That answers your question.&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Why do you have to be so mean?&rdquo;, Edna asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Actually, I&rsquo;m not mean. Just private.&rdquo;, Fernando starts off. Looking at Edna, &ldquo;Like when you were flopping my arm around while I was asleep on medication. I was aware of that.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;EEP!&rdquo;, Edna holds back from saying further.<br /><br />&ldquo;I would want fun as much as the next person, but I am to be to be respected and at times left alone. I prefer my privacy above all else.&rdquo;, Fernando tells them. &ldquo;Who I have fun with is my business unless I make it your business.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Make our business?&rdquo;, they all asked.<br /><br />&ldquo;Inviting you to parties and things.&rdquo;, Fernando answers.<br /><br />&ldquo;Oh&hellip;&rdquo; they all say with a few individual comments thrown in.<br /><br />&ldquo;You ready to go to the pool?&rdquo;, Fernando asks Rachel.<br /><br />She does not answer but crushes the empties and puts them in the trash. She returns to take the towels and heads off to make camp at the shallow end.<br /><br />&ldquo;Something the matter with her?&rdquo;, Edna asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know. But I&rsquo;ll find out and take care of it.&rdquo;, Fernando answers. He gets up and starts walking to the shallow end. The others clean up the area before heading down to the pool.<br /><br />Under a minute Fernando reaches Rachel and sits next to her. &ldquo; You OK?&rdquo;, he asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;Can we go home?&rdquo;, she asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;We can.&rdquo;, he tells her.<br /><br />He helps her up and gather their belongings before heading into the locker room to change. He meets her outside as he dressed faster than she did. Once they meet, they head home, some five to eight minute walk depending on their pace. This trip took considerably longer then normal.<br /><br />Once in the house, they walk upstairs to their room. Fernando dumps everything at the room&rsquo;s table. Rachel sat on his bed, unsure what she was feeling. He sits down next to her.<br /><br />&ldquo;You OK?&rdquo;, he asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I didn&rsquo;t want people here to know I was gang raped, but I said it. And now she is going to spread it&rdquo;, Rachel says.<br /><br />Fernando reaches over and holds her. &ldquo;Look. Gang raped, raped, or not, you are still my little sister, my loving sweet beautiful sister who loves me and I love her back, and nobody is going to take that away from me. You understand that?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t want people to be thinking that being raped that I&rsquo;m some sort of a slut.&rdquo;, Rachel says. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m a nice girl, I really am.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I know you are.&rdquo;, he says as he kisses the top of her head. &ldquo;Look. I can talk to Lucy about this and tell her not to tell anyone about this.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Would you?&rdquo;, Rachel asks.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll call her now.&rdquo;, Fernando says.<br /><br />&ldquo;Not now. Later. Just hold me.&rdquo;, she tells him.<br /><br />- End of: Second to Last Thursday. -</span>",
