One of Fernando's friends since kindergarten, but never took it anywhere because she is not interested in boys as such. She was more like Fernando as a girl than his own Twin Rosita - kept to herself and did a lot of reading, not interested in Kindergarten things like finger painting, clay sculpting or playing with dolls or blocks. JoAnn and Fernando became friends because they would share their books to read.\n\nLike Susie, JoAnn was often picked on for her Asian Oriental appearance though she claimed to be Puerto Rican Latino. But that did not stop the bullies of the time to pick on her as they did with Susie. Since Fernando was always nearby, often next to them, when it happens, he had no choice but to step in and take some action to stand up to the bullies. At this point it becomes a shoving and fist throwing match with Fernando and what few friends he had including JoAnn and Susie vs. Ricky, Alfonso, Jorge R. and their group of bullies. Though Susie was shy to standing up to the bullies, JoAnn was not, sometimes facing them alone in the hallways or cafeteria in the following grades after kindergarten.\n\nThough many thought JoAnn and Fernando would have ended up as girlfriend/boyfriend relationship because if their interaction together, it would never happen. Fernando and Susie would connect but in secret. They did however were best of friends but with zero interest in sex with each other, or in her case, with anyone else.\n\nAs she got older, JoAnn kept to herself. There were some boys that wanted her as a girlfriend but none of them interested her in any way. Only one that did was Fernando because of their shared interest in books and reading. But at the time Fernando and his family left New York City, the neighborhood was showing signs of blight and decay. JoAnn and her mom lived at the edge of the neighborhood's residential and business areas, where such fallout of a dying neighborhood is going to be last seen. But her and her mother were seeing the writing on the wall, it was time to move out of the neighborhood.\n\nIt took several days for JoAnn's mother to find out that a lot of her friends moved to a small city of Pouncefield. It took weeks for them to find funding options to buy a house over there, et alone find out, Poucefield was and continues to be a growing city. JoAnn's mother's mistake was to get a mortgage from a New York City Bank and not from a Pouncefeild Bank. Her other mistake was looking for a house that fits the mortgage and not the mortage to fit the house. She ends up buying a house several blocks away from the neighborhood close friends and far away from the train station. Might be some Oriental Asian from the 1840's Gold Rush Migration but doubtful; if there is, it would be with only one set of the great-great-great-grandparents. This would make her 1/32nd Asian Chinese. She is more Tiano Indian than Asian Chinese as she has between 1/8th and 1/4th Tiano Indian DNA.\n\n[b]Abilities:[/b] like Fernando - above average intelligence on the prodigy level. But her prodigal gift was based on organizational and pattern recognizing. In that she can be a bit obsessive in things should be, like how the book are arranged in her bookbag and desk. She can look at a pile of random things and find patterns within them, Fernando has such abilities but not as strong as hers. She also has a near-perfect photographic memory. Like Fernando, she is also ambidextrous and at minimum is bi-lingual in reading/writing/speaking in English and Spanish.\n\n[b]Personality:[/b] Joann tends to be quiet and seemingly withdrawn though often she is heavily concentrated with her study of the pages of the book she is reading. though she seems to be soft-spoken, she is not, especially when dealing with the bullies. In that she is a fighter and will stand up to the adversity she put her through. It is enough to make them go away most of the time. Though Susie was shy to standing up to the bullies, JoAnn was not, sometimes facing them alone in the hallways or cafeteria in the following grades after kindergarten.

Though many thought JoAnn and Fernando would have ended up as girlfriend/boyfriend relationship because if their interaction together, it would never happen. Fernando and Susie would connect but in secret. They did however were best of friends but with zero interest in sex with each other, or in her case, with anyone else.

As she got older, JoAnn kept to herself. There were some boys that wanted her as a girlfriend but none of them interested her in any way. Only one that did was Fernando because of their shared interest in books and reading. But at the time Fernando and his family left New York City, the neighborhood was showing signs of blight and decay. JoAnn and her mom lived at the edge of the neighborhood's residential and business areas, where such fallout of a dying neighborhood is going to be last seen. But her and her mother were seeing the writing on the wall, it was time to move out of the neighborhood.

It took several days for JoAnn's mother to find out that a lot of her friends moved to a small city of Pouncefield. It took weeks for them to find funding options to buy a house over there, et alone find out, Poucefield was and continues to be a growing city. JoAnn's mother's mistake was to get a mortgage from a New York City Bank and not from a Pouncefeild Bank. Her other mistake was looking for a house that fits the mortgage and not the mortage to fit the house. She ends up buying a house several blocks away from the neighborhood close friends and far away from the train station. All this also added delays, so when JoAnn and her mother does move to Pouncefeild, it is already Mid-March and the start of Spring of the following year.

This timely delay would also effect JoAnn's entry to school, ending up in Columbus Academy where she would find Susie and tries to reconnect with her.

Body/Build: Tall and Slender, taller than most girls her age (a bit shorter than Wandaline who is currently the tallest), but thinner as well. Breast Size is approaching B Cup in size; being a AA Cup on some days and a B Cup in others due to hormonal changes in this stage of her life.

\tShe is Ambidextrous, meaning she can draw and write with her left hand as well as her right.

Family: Single mom, No-Show dad who abandoned them long ago.

\tHas several cousins but is not active with them.

Ethinicity: Puerto Rican with Spanish and Tiano Indian Ancestry. Might be some Oriental Asian from the 1840's Gold Rush Migration but doubtful; if there is, it would be with only one set of the great-great-great-grandparents. This would make her 1/32nd Asian Chinese. She is more Tiano Indian than Asian Chinese as she has between 1/8th and 1/4th Tiano Indian DNA.

Abilities: like Fernando - above average intelligence on the prodigy level. But her prodigal gift was based on organizational and pattern recognizing. In that she can be a bit obsessive in things should be, like how the book are arranged in her bookbag and desk. She can look at a pile of random things and find patterns within them, Fernando has such abilities but not as strong as hers. She also has a near-perfect photographic memory. Like Fernando, she is also ambidextrous and at minimum is bi-lingual in reading/writing/speaking in English and Spanish.

Personality: Joann tends to be quiet and seemingly withdrawn though often she is heavily concentrated with her study of the pages of the book she is reading. though she seems to be soft-spoken, she is not, especially when dealing with the bullies. In that she is a fighter and will stand up to the adversity she put her through. It is enough to make them go away most of the time. Otherwise, like in Fernando's extreme, she just wants to be left alone.

Appearance: Though like Susie and a couple others, JoAnn can be rather Girlie in her appearance (fancy, frilly dress, ribbons, bows, white stockings, MaryJane shoes, etc.) at times she is more like Maria and Sophie in their Tomboy mode (jeans, jacket, sneakers, etc.). She is a mixture of both. Though she is a mouse, though her appearance says she a Oriental Asian Mouse, she is not of Asian Descent

Likes: Reading, Studying, keeping to herself or with others she can share these things.
