tell me she was fine and needed to take care of family business with her twin Katherine. She did tell me that she was going to change her hairstyle again, to a shorter style than before, but still the same though at just above her shoulders.\n\nFirst Period was Math, which I promised her that I would behave and that I get our homework for her. Second period was swimming, and though Cathy would sometimes drop by the locker room I shared with the girls*, she was not there today. Thus far I would not be able to see Cathy until at least 5th period lunch or after 8th period when I go to see the Shortfellows. If I were lucky, maybe I would see her before 8th period Physics. But as luck would have it, Juanita of all people would drag me out of 6th period Spanish.\n\nDuring her free time Juanita works at the Deans' General office, which made no sense to me; each dean had their own office their the departments they ran, why would they need a separate office I would often think. But there is and Juanita was one of the student volunteers who worked there for school/student service credits. Just like Cathy did at the school's Book Storage Room. For Juanita, this gave her access to some pretty interesting paper work she could use to their advantage, one of them was emergency hall passes to take students to the deans' office.\n\nSpanish was an unnecessary class for me, as I was a native speaker, and native speakers of languages other than English were automatically passed with a 95% grade or better. Sure the class can build up my vocabulary but many second language teachers did not care. When Juanita showed up to the door with an emergency Dean's Hall Pass for me, the teacher did not question it and let me go. Once we were out in the hall, Juanita gave me a set of instructions.\n\n\"Fernando, just be quiet. If the guard stop us, I'll do the talking for I have the paper work to excuse us.\" Juanita tells me.\n\n\"Alright.\" I say to her.\n\n\"Good. Now follow me.\" Juanita tells me, before turning away and swaying her rear like she usually does when she thinks she is succeeding in a plan. I had no choice but to follow her, and enjoy the view for the while.\n\nWe walked from the 6th floor west side to the 4th floor east side of the building, crossing through the center section on the 6th floor and take the elevator down to the 4th floor from there. She nods before I ask, \"What are you doing here? Don't you go to Erasmus Hall?\"\n\n\"I'm not telling you anything. But there is something you should know.\" I try to say to her.\n\n\"What?\" Katherine spits out at me.\n\nI reach into my pocket and pull out my wallet, and then my program card inside, sliding it on the conference table to her. \"I would like to be able to see but I can't. I have swimming second period, and I can not wear my glasses in swimming, so I have been blind everyday since.\" I lie to her.\n\nShe looks at me for the moment before reaching for the program card to look at it.
