Aiden and Snow took a seat at their usual table, other students passing by waving at the hyena while Snow was ignored, not many people talked to orphans. The young cub broke the seal of the letter and unrolled it, reading it's content quickly. It was an invitation from Alec, the Prince asking him to join him that morning at the Castle to spend some time together. Smiling happily, the boy stored the letter in one of the pockets of his tunic. \n\n\"So... what was it?\" asked Aiden, looking at him intriguingly, almost as everyone in the room, even though the yeen flashed him a knowing grin.\n\n\"Well... It's seems that I will be busy today\" answered Snow, getting up from his seat and making his way outside the Library, his breakfast left unfinished on the table.\n\nAs the message had said, a carriage was already waiting for him at the Library's gates, the coachman, a brown furred horse, opening the door and letting the little cat in. Snow found it really difficult to stay put, sitting on the comfortable seats, his excitement only getting stronger as he begun recognizing the buildings that passed through the carriage windows, the cub giddily jumping in his seat.\n\nFinally, the carriage stopped, and the horse once again opened the door, Snow jumping outside and running inside the palace walls, not even bothering to thank the coachman while he passed through the gates, the guards already familiarized with the white furred cub and not even bothering to move as they simply let him through. The cat ran through the paths around the castle, without caring what the people that might see him would think about his lack of manners. At last, the feline finally saw a young, black furred deer seating on a stone bench, Snow instantly recognizing the Prince of the Eclipse Isles.\n\nAlec's ears perked up, the deer only having time to get up from his seat and turn around before a white soft thing hit him and hugged him tightly, the deer laughing as he looked into the eyes of the boy he loved, patting the cub on the head.\n\n\"Someone seems a little bit happy today\" commented the deer.\n\nSnow only purred and nodded in response, still hugging the older boy.\n\n\"You... are... not... letting... me... breathe...\" huffed Alec.\n\nThe boy finally let go of the deer, the Prince breathing harshly for a few moments as Snow patiently waited by his side, his attention focused on the deer as it was the only thing that mattered for him.\n\n\"So this is the boy?\" asked a voice beneath them.\n\nSnow felt himself shivering as he looked down to see something forming from the shadows beneath the deer, a mass of darkness getting out from the shadows gathered beneath the deer's elegant black coat, as he got instinctively closer to the Prince, his eyes fixed on the shadow taking form in front of him as fear rose in his chest. Meanwhile, the dark mass got bigger and started changing, Snow beginning to recognize some structures taking form, like four big clawed paws, a furry and strong tail and a long mouth, it wasn't long until right before the cub was an enormous feral black wolf, almost as big as him, with half a wolf skull on its head, and black, empty eyes. Snow felt a hand grabbing his shoulder, the cat looking up to see Alec looking down at him, giving him a reassuring nod.\n\n\"Snow, let me introduce you to Eklipse, a loyal companion\" introduced the Prince.\n\n\"B-But T-That's a-a...\" stammered the boy, still feeling afraid of the great wolf in front of him.\n\n\"He sure is brilliant\" commented the animal, sarcastically, with a voice that seemed to come from the ground beneath it.\n\n\"Shush you\" commanded the deer, as he saw Snow getting even more weirded out by hearing Eklipse speaking \"Snow, as you might have noticed, Eklipse is a crawler\"\n\n\"B-But... They are supposed to be extinct!\" said the cat, finally managing to speak.\n\n\"There are still a few living in the Shadow Isle, I found Eklipse there, almost dead... so I took him in and healed him, he's been by my side ever since\" explained the Prince.\n\n\"Such a deep and moving tale\" replied the, ever-sarcastic, crawler.\n\n\"Yeah, well... why don't we get going?\" asked the Prince, walking a few steps down the path \"Well?\"\n\nAnd that's how the three of them went on to spend the day together, Snow still feeling mostly scared at first, being in the company of the nightmarish creature that used the be the main character of the stories they told to scare the kids and make them behave. But as the day passed, Snow got more comfortable, mostly due to Alec's presence, and discovered that apart from his dry attitude, there was nothing dangerous about the crawler. So the cat went on to spend a great evening with his boyfriend and his pet, Snow enjoying every single moment as they walked through the Palace Gardens or cuddled in a boat in the Garden's lake.\n\nBut as time passed by, the ending of their date came closer, the deer and the prince walking down the path back towards the gates in silence, simply enjoying each other's company while the sunset lit their way. It was while they were slowly walking, both of them dreading the moment of their inevitable farewell, that they heard some voices coming from around the corner. The Prince freezing in place as he recognized his mother's voice and frantically looked around for a place to hide, as he was not ready for the Queen to meet Snow yet. Snow was weirded out by the Prince's behavior, until he also heard someone speaking along the path.\n\n\"I'm growing really tired of this interruptions, Alya\" said a feminine voice.\n\n\"Don't worry Maris, everything shall go as planned, I will make sure of it during the next ball\" replied another feminine voice.\n\nBoth females continued their talk as they sat down on a stone bench, unaware of the fact that just at the other side of the bushes behind them, where the two boys and the crawler.\n\nAlec's mind was running like mad, trying to find a way out of this as he hid from his mother. It was as she looked around that he noticed something weird happening in their small hiding place. He noticed that Eklipse was acting weird, the crawler growling and shaking its head as he paced around the clearing.\n\n\"Eklipse... you doing alright?\" whispered the deer, trying to get the crawlers attention.\n\nSnow also looked at the creature and saw it getting even more frantic, only having a few moments to wonder about Eklipse before the crawler pounced of him, shoving him against the ground on all fours. Snow screamed, scared, but he soon felt Alec's hand over his maw, muffling him. \n\nThe Prince looked back to see if the noise had alerted anyone, but thankfully it seemed that no one had noticed. With a relieved sigh, the deer looked back to the clearing and it was while doing so, that he noticed the small white flowers that dotted the bushes around them.\n\n\"Shit! Those are Lighwïans\" said the deer.\n\nSnow only gave a questioning muffled sound that turned into a surprised muffled yelp when he felt Eklispe climbing on top of him.\n\n\"They have a particular effect on crawlers, making them go completely feral\" continued Alec, whispering.\n\nSnow felt his fear returning after hearing those words, trying to move and get the creature off of him, but a growl besides his ear made him freeze in place, the cat slowly turning his head to look back at the crawler on top of him. He first noticed the beast's fangs, menacingly close to his face, but as he looked back, he saw another thing that scared him even more, as the young cub had looked at the beast hindquarters, noticing the girthy and enormous black canine shaft hanging between Eklipse's legs.\n\nAlec could see that Snow was growing even more scared by the moment, the deer fearing that the noises the cat was trying to make as he squirmed would alert his mother sitting right at the other side of the bushes. Finally, the carriage stopped, and the horse once again opened the door, Snow jumping outside and running inside the palace walls, not even bothering to thank the coachman while he passed through the gates, the guards already familiarized with the white furred cub and not even bothering to move as they simply let him through. The cat ran through the paths around the castle, without caring what the people that might see him would think about his lack of manners. At last, the feline finally saw a young, black furred deer seating on a stone bench, Snow instantly recognizing the Prince of the Eclipse Isles.
Alec's ears perked up, the deer only having time to get up from his seat and turn around before a white soft thing hit him and hugged him tightly, the deer laughing as he looked into the eyes of the boy he loved, patting the cub on the head.
"Someone seems a little bit happy today" commented the deer.
Snow only purred and nodded in response, still hugging the older boy.
"You... are... not... letting... me... breathe..." huffed Alec.
The boy finally let go of the deer, the Prince breathing harshly for a few moments as Snow patiently waited by his side, his attention focused on the deer as it was the only thing that mattered for him.
"So this is the boy?" asked a voice beneath them.
Snow felt himself shivering as he looked down to see something forming from the shadows beneath the deer, a mass of darkness getting out from the shadows gathered beneath the deer's elegant black coat, as he got instinctively closer to the Prince, his eyes fixed on the shadow taking form in front of him as fear rose in his chest. Meanwhile, the dark mass got bigger and started changing, Snow beginning to recognize some structures taking form, like four big clawed paws, a furry and strong tail and a long mouth, it wasn't long until right before the cub was an enormous feral black wolf, almost as big as him, with half a wolf skull on its head, and black, empty eyes. "Shush you" commanded the deer, as he saw Snow getting even more weirded out by hearing Eklipse speaking "Snow, as you might have noticed, Eklipse is a crawler"

"There are still a few living in the Shadow Isle, I found Eklipse there, almost dead... so I took him in and healed him, he's been by my side ever since" explained the Prince.

"Yeah, well... why don't we get going?" asked the Prince, walking a few steps down the path "Well?"
And that's how the three of them went on to spend the day together, Snow still feeling mostly scared at first, being in the company of the nightmarish creature that used the be the main character of the stories they told to scare the kids and make them behave. But as the day passed, Snow got more comfortable, mostly due to Alec's presence, and discovered that apart from his dry attitude, there was nothing dangerous about the crawler. Both females continued their talk as they sat down on a stone bench, unaware of the fact that just at the other side of the bushes behind them, where the two boys and the crawler.
Alec's mind was running like mad, trying to find a way out of this as he hid from his mother. It was as she looked around that he noticed something weird happening in their small hiding place. He noticed that Eklipse was acting weird, the crawler growling and shaking its head as he paced around the clearing.
"Eklipse... you doing alright?" whispered the deer, trying to get the crawlers attention.
Snow also looked at the creature and saw it getting even more frantic, only having a few moments to wonder about Eklipse before the crawler pounced of him, shoving him against the ground on all fours. Snow screamed, scared, but he soon felt Alec's hand over his maw, muffling him.
The Prince looked back to see if the noise had alerted anyone, but thankfully it seemed that no one had noticed. With a relieved sigh, the deer looked back to the clearing and it was while doing so, that he noticed the small white flowers that dotted the bushes around them.
"Shit! Those are Lighwïans" said the deer.
Snow only gave a questioning muffled sound that turned into a surprised muffled yelp when he felt Eklispe climbing on top of him.
"They have a particular effect on crawlers, making them go completely feral" continued Alec, whispering.
