Funny, until that day, I'd never quite got why people have to do that in public - all of a sudden I understood quite clearly, it's because you really can't do anything else if you love her. She giggled and told me it was her twenty first. \"Nuh-uh,\" I shook my head. \"You said last year that you wished you'd started counting backwards at nineteen. So now you're seventeen.\"\n\nI couldn't help laughing. It was silly, but kind of cute, and he stuck to it all night - while he was guiding me through town, showing me round his new house, and even introducing me to his new housemates! Oh god, that was embarassing! Not sure who they believed, me or him...\n\nJulie wasn't too impressed when I stuck to it at dinner though - I figured I'd better let her have the wine, else I was likely to get lemonade down my shirt!\n\nAbsolutely he would have! You can not take your girlfriend out for her twenty first birthday dinner and not buy her a bottle of the house best white! \n\nSo yeah, I just leaned in close and whispered something about if they worked out my ID was fake we'd both be out of there. She laughed, and we talked - she was telling me about her new housemate, Lucy. Sounded like a nice girl, supportive type. I was glad, I knew Julie had been feeling stressed about moving. Anyway, I don't think it was until the meal arrived that Julie quite worked out...\n\n...that he'd set up everything exactly like he did on my seventeenth. Same food, same pizza restaurant chain. Ok, so the movie after wasn't quite the same, but it was close - I guess there's always a comedy zombie film around when you need it. Then it was back to his place and... Well, see, four years ago we'd gone sneaking up the stairs while my parents were watching TV...\n\nObviously it wasn't her parents, and whether my housemates knew we were back or not didn't matter - what mattered was the sneaking and the pretending. Sounds geeky, but it was fun to roleplay, tiptoing up the stairs as if it mattered!\n\nI couldn't help it, I was in giggle fits by the time we got up to his room on the top floor. Nearly killed us both when he kissed me, but that was how it was supposed to go, and I managed to get myself under control enough to give him a little nuzzle on the cheek and ask if he'd like to see my soft toys.\n\nHonestly, that's what she said! Both times! Well, I had to say yes, didn’t I? Following her into the room, I swear... for a moment I lost the plot completely. Suddenly I had a stomach full of butterflies as I watched her tail swaying! Damn she’s sexy when she tries.\n\nWhen I turned round to him, I was actually relieved to see his face. Thank god it had gotten to him too! I dunno, it's weird but... acting it all through again made it seem just like first time round. I didn't need to fake how nervous I felt sitting down on the bed, patting the duvet next to me until he came and sat down. *giggle* At least he hadn't forgotten how to kiss - that's definitely something he's improved at over time. I put my hand on his cheek, smiling as he actually blushed. God that was cute.\n\nMy hands were actually shaking when she put them on her chest. She looked at me, nodding as our eyes met. I popped the buttons. Let it never be said that familiarity breeds contempt. Julie has never lost an ounce of beauty, not in all the years we've been together, and she can still take my breath away. Sure he's never been skinny, he's been playing rugby since he was twelve, but access to the university gym had worked quite a change on him since he joined. Well, I think we might have rushed things a little, there was a lot of tugging on clothes, trying really hard not to stop kissing each other all the way, and then suddenly there he was on all fours over me, and I had my knees on his flanks and my hand around his obvious arousal.
