Alyssa's Faithful Reporter and Accurate Chronicler of Deeds(TM) could never be said to lack respect for her. He's tracked her around for years, cataloguing and recording her missions, filing meticulous reports back at HQ, at least one of which was the direct cause of a promotion for Alyssa. He knows her to be a dogged protector of the weak, defender of the innocent, and upholder of the law. He has also watched her get drunk and disorderly, hire disreputable companions during the night hours, combine magic and weapon skills to take on and defeat multiple opponents, and display a blazing temper. While Alyssa has always been careful only to direct this last against people she considers to deserve it, her reporter can't help but be somewhat intimidated by a team leader who is taller, stronger, and angrier than he is.
Fortunately, Alyssa does actually have a softer side, and has apparently noticed that her super-domme approach was as much disconcerting than it was appealing. Seems a gentler tactic has been employed to get what she wants - and as usual, her plan has worked.
Not that she isn't still in control of the situation. After all, they both know she's only tied up because she's too much for him to handle...
