"description": "In this collection I have a series of pictures protraying a few Egyptian gods. Most of them are of Set, the god of chaos. \r\n\r\nI thought to myself in a 'What If' style of scenario and picture of what the Egyptian pantheon would be like if Set and not Horus became the king of the gods and ruler of the universe. It would not be an evil triumphs type of thing. Many presume, based on popular and fan media, as well as the fact that Set is the god of chaos and the desert, that Seth is evil. \r\n\r\nIn reality Set is not evil and there is a whole backstory going into why he killed Osiris in the first place. Back in the day when Ra was still the king of the gods, Isis wanted her husband Osiris to be more important. To achieve this, she waited for Ra in his old man form to walk past. \r\n\r\n( Ra comes in four forms depending on the time of the day. In the morning he is in the form of a dung beatle rolling the sun into creation. At around noontime, Ra is in the form of a strong man with the head fo a hawk. Nearing sunset he is in the form of a very old man. At night, while doing battle in the underworld, he is like a sentient statue / sarcophagus with the head of a ram. )\r\n\r\nAs old man Ra walks past, he drools on the ground. After he passes, Isis takes teh mix of drool and sand and makes a snake to poison Ra. After Ra is poisoned and reels in pain, Isis said that she will heal him if he gives her his real name. He gives his name and with that knowledge is able to control him and force him into giving the title of king of the gods to Osiris.\r\n\r\nSet, at the time, was a very loyal warrior to Ra and often does battle along side Ra in the underworld against the forces of evil. Of the five children of Nut and Geb, the names being Set, Osiris, Isis, Nephthys and Blind Horus (not to be confused with Horus, son of Isis and Osiris), Set was the most loyal, the strongest and even the eldest.\r\n\r\nWhen Set learned what Isis had done he was angered at her. He was also angered at Osiris for accepting the role as king of the gods. After asking Osiris to give the title back, Osiris laughed at Set and dared him to do something about it if he felt so bad on the subject. \r\n\r\nAt the time, it was unknown and thought impossible to kill a god and, as powerful as Set is, he was unsure himself. In order to figure this out, Set practiced on Blind Horus, the youngest sibling and the runt of the litter, and proceeded to tear Blind Horus apart. Set chose him since Blind Horus was seen as a traitor like Osiris and Isis for supporting the two in being in power. After tearing Blind Horus apart, Blind Horus eventually died and Set was glad that there is a way and proceeded to punish his other brother. After getting Osiris alone, Set proceeded to tear him apart as well, in addition to trampling on him to make sure. He then scattered his body to make anyone looking for them have dificulty in doing so. \r\n\r\nHe left Isis alive as punishment so as to live under his rule and knowing she would be saddened at the loss of her husband. Set wanted to give the title back to Ra, but he knew well enough that Isis would use her knowledge of Ra's true name to get the title again and rule as the queen of the gods.\r\n\r\nWhat follows in the story involves necrophelia, incest, rape, battle, an 80 year long family fued, court cases with the elder gods as the judges, masturbation, beheading, nepotism, college style humour, law breaking, pranks, interfering with battle, castration, gore and a number of other adult and mature themes. I can see why this story can not be found without leaving out so much. I am not even sure if highschoolers are old enough to know what happens. LOL. ^\\/^.\r\n\r\nA pharoah many years later was at war with another pharoah by whom also laid claim to ruling Egypt. The first pharoah was a devout follower of Horus for he is the god of pharoahs and rule. The rival pharoah was a devout follower of Set for the reason, as he put it, 'Set is strong in arm, loyal to the elder gods and Ra, the creator of the universe. Set destroys that which is wicked and those who are the enemies of Egypt.'. When the other pharoah learned of this he went about with a propoganda compain telling of the story of Set versus Horus, leaving out many of the details that lead up to certain things and gave damning negative remarks against Set. Using this propoganda, he went about protraying his rival as an evil man who worships evil and must be destroyed. The propoganda worked and even loyal subjects of the rival pharoah changed sides. Thanks to politics and propganda, Set is shown as evil and then some with the other side being noble and such.\r\n\r\nThough I digress. The pictures shown are named from left to right and from top to bottom as follows:\r\n\r\nSet on Papyrus\r\nSet Quick Head Sketches\r\nSet in Mighty and Powerful Pose\r\nSet With a Casual Look\r\nAnubis in Court Clothing\r\nSet the King of the Gods, with Braids\r\nSet in Profile\r\nYoung Set Fully Nude\r\nHorus in Profile\r\nSet Head Ideas\r\nSet and His Look When Not in Public",
