There is a lot leading up to this scene, so I will give some details to help avoid confusion. The event takes place in Chronicle 0 (remaining unnamed online), Saga 2-A Divine Chronicle, Chapter 25. Saga 2 gives background to the divine side of things, though contains the bulk of Duo's origin story and his life as a mortal child, as well as the origin of some very important characters, key events, and other items that are referenced in the later Chronicles. In the time period at chapter 25, Duo has been a god of love for quite the long time, having already crafted his femboy body as a means of approach for those that meet him, however he is still roughly 8 feet tall, his genitalia are located inside of a slit, and during this period, he is somewhat, hostile. He has changed and lost sight of who he is due to the fact that he has been hanging around the other elder gods for far too long, that their negative traits are rubbing off on him.\n\nDuo is holder of the second seat among the elder gods, which have authority over all of creation. He is the second strongest as the elder god of power is the most powerful deity in this story, but the elder god of power does not wish to advocate his seat, and has manipulated events to have his will act out as the true authoritative force, despite a very important secret amongst the gods. Destroying a planet of these magic cultists, ignoring the cries of the dying, from young to old, he made his heart cold.\n\nDuo's husband, though supportive of Duo, had pleaded for him not to do this, it wasn't him, it wasn't the dragon that he found in the cave billions of years ago and grew to love. Duo however, was unaware of this change, until he encountered on a planet, an elder doing a ritual. Duo became curious and the pair engaged in conversation for several days, making Duo do something he used to do often, and that was act more like a mortal, to a point he did not read the elders mind or really use much of his divine abilities.\n\nThe elder did not believe Duo to be Duo, and called him a powerful spirit, though the two eventually shared their life stories as the elder was able to get the dragon to open up. Upon hearing it, he called Duo a stooge, a fallen entity. A stooge who has become an unwilling, unwitting solider that kills and murders, whom has allowed himself to forget. Naturally Duo brings up his own authority and his imperium over creation, though the elder reminds Duo that he, nor the elder god of power, are the true ones. He uses the nature around him, the stars, the way things move, grow, asking Duo if it is he, they who tell the stars to move, the sky to dance, the plants to grow? Rather, he and the others, simply were given their gifts, their power by the true gods (nameless online), and are acting guides, though the elder god of power has willed the others to follow his own, making them focus only on their gifts, and forgetting their purpose as the guides and shepherds of creation. The elder even heard Duo whisper to himself asking himself the question that has always plagued him ever since he was chosen to be the elder god of love, as to why he was chosen, and the elder used that to attack and remind Duo of his true place. Duo was indeed reminded, and teleported back to his desert place on another world nearby, frustrated and shaken that a mortal dare say such things to him.\n\nThough the mortal was right, Duo had indeed forgotten of the ones who gave them their powers, to allow them to also be gods, and the god of power had indeed forced his own will onto the gods, keeping some fighting amongst themselves, perhaps out of fear they would rise against him. While calming down, Duo is informed that a new high priest of the cult is on this planet by his angel A'tin.
