Date 1 Brian slammed the door on the home of his latest ex-girlfriend. He learned the hard way that she wasn't interested in a serious relationship and instead preferred a fling with whomever she had the urge to have sex with. Brian mistook it for something more and ended up shooting his mouth off to the Griffins to defend his relationship stating it was more than physical passion and that he was in love with someone deep, passionate, and wonderful, the most wonderful person in the world. That was all before he was coming over for another date and came in to find her with three buff, shirtless men. As he was walking down the street the conversation was still repeating in his head, making his stomach queasy. "Miranda? What's going on? Who are these people?" he asked finding it hard not to stare at their well toned bodies that she was standing all too close to for his own comfort. "Isn't it obvious?" she answered letting her fingers run down one of the guy's rock hard abs. Brian had to grit his teeth to keep from exploding at how much pain he felt, like a knife thrust into his heart. There was nothing he could do, but hope for something far less obvious. "Please tell me you aren't planning on having sex with these three men and that they are models for a sculpting project you forgot you had scheduled today. Please tell me." "No Brian," she answered honestly, but it didn't make him feel better. "But don't think I'm just going to exclude you. While it is nice to do it with a bunch of buff guys having a pudgy one that's nice and soft is like snuggling with a big soft pillow." "I don't want to have any part of this," he barked at her, but he quickly lost track of what he was talking about when he realized what she was telling him. "Wait, did you just call me fat?" "Plump, but fat might be more accurate," answered Miranda giving Brian's belly a poke to which he back off quickly. "I am not fat," he argued flexing and sucking in his gut in to look fit, but the facade wasn't fooling anyone. "There is nothing wrong with being fat," Miranda stated. "It is one of my biggest turn-ons. So why not just admit it." "I will not," answered Brian adamantly. "My friend Peter is fat, a larger percentage of America is fat, uh, sumo wrestlers are fat, but I am not and I won't hear another word about it. Now either we can maintain our relationship like before and get rid of these guys or I'm out of here. Now make up your mind now because I am not moving on this matter. And don't even take that last remark as a fat joke. It was a figure of speech." "Goodbye, Brian," she answered immediately. "That's it?" he replied shocked at how fast she decided. "You won't even take a minute to consider?" "Not really," she admitted. "I will admit I am a slut who doesn't really care about who I get into bed with, but that's who I am and I'm ok with it. What about you, Brian? You can't even stand to be called pudgy and go into denial about it. Maybe before you look for someone else you should look at yourself and learn to love yourself." Unable to bear anymore Brian ran out and slammed the door. "Tonight is a wash," grumbled Brian not wanting to go home when he was supposed to spend the night. He knew he'd have to eat his words with Peter and Lois after the scene he made in front of them and it wasn't going to help how lousy he felt. "Maybe I should rent a hotel room tonight and go back home tomorrow. Then at least I can keep my dignity." He approached a nearby motel slowly purposely letting his feet drag. He reached out to open the door just as soon as his cell phone rang. Recognizing the fruity ringtone he knew immediately that it was Jasper, his gay cousin. "Hello," answered Brian certain that if anyone could cheer him up it was Jasper, though he didn't want to admit he had a problem just yet. "Jasper, it's been a while since we last spoke." "Oh, I know and I'm sorry," he responded. "I've just been having the worst trouble with Ricardo and long story short we're taking a break. How long? Don't know, but it is open season for now I'm taking advantage of it, but I just can't seem to do it." "I'm surprised," replied Brian shocked. "I thought you were both so happy." "There's just been a lot of tension building and we just need our space," he explained. "He left and the place is kind of lonely. So I was wondering, and please keep an open mind, but would you come for a visit. Just for a week and I'll cover all the expenses." "It's a little sudden to come all the way to L.A. and kind of late," stated Brian. "Oh, sorry, I forgot about the time difference," apologized Jasper. "It can wait then until you're ready. You would probably want to pack first." "You know what," Brian interrupted after thinking for a moment. "Actually, I'd love to come over. I think a break from my life here is just the thing I need." "Why?" he asked. "What's wrong?" "Just the usual funk I need to get out of," explained Brian. "I'm tired of meeting girls who make me feel bad about myself and that I have to forcibly lower my standards and expectations just to tolerate them. You won't believe this, but the last girl I was with actually thought I looked fat. Ridiculous right?" "Well you didn't look very toned the last time I saw you," admitted Jasper. "Not you too," moaned Brian. "Just relax, B," chuckled Jasper. "I was just teasing. I mean for a straight dog your fine, but you'd be a hot ticket for a gay chubby chaser. A few more pounds and I'd imagine you'd be quite a desirable item." "Well I don't intend to put on weight to attract anyone, most of all other men," stated Brian snapping a bit in his tone. "Wow, you do need a break," replied Jasper full of surprise. "Maybe a bit of time with me will allow you to do some soul searching and find happiness." "I'm beginning to wonder if there is happiness out there for me," answered Brian dully. "But you're welcome to give it your best shot. I'll head to the airport now. If you can get me a ticket for the next flight to L.A. I should be able to sleep on the plane and meet you in the morning." "And from there we'll have the best week of your life," chuckled Jasper excitedly. "Now get your sexy self over here as quick as you can." Jasper hung up quickly after that and left Brian confused over the last thing he said, but didn't give it much thought beyond just Jasper's usual flamboyant chatter. However, Jasper was already fast at work getting Brian's tickets and planning a few surprises for when his cousin arrived. Though he hadn't planned it, their little talk had given him some deviously, naughty ideas to do to Brian. And if things worked out as he hoped, they'd both get what they desired most in this week to come.
