He grabbed a tissue and blew his poor nose in it.\n\n\t\"Gesundheit,\" replied Flint as he placed a cool wet towel on his forehead.\n\n\t\"Wouldn't you know it,\" moaned Rex. \"We're finally ready to go back to active duty and I had to catch a cold.\"\n\n\t\"Well, you certainly aren't in any shape to go out till you get over it,\" added Dan as he stirred a pot of soup. \"Just take it easy today and maybe you'll be better by tomorrow.\"\n\n\t\"I'm glad you guys are so supportive,\" said Rex happily. \"But you all don't have to stay behind for my sake.\"\n\n\t\"It isn't cool to leave a friend behind when he isn't feeling well,\" stated Fonz from a distance.\n\n\t\"I'm sure you said something important,\" shouted Flint. \"But you'll need to get closer so we can hear what you're saying.\"\n\n\t\"Not a chance,\" replied Fonz. \"Catching a cold isn't cool.\"\n\n\t\"It would be alright if you guys went off on another adventure without me,\" commented Rex. \"I wouldn't want to hold you guys back and besides I'm not that sick.\" He closed that sentence with another sneeze.\n\n\t\"It wouldn't be right to leave you alone,\" said Flint.\n\n\t\"You could always have someone stay with me and the rest of you could go,\" suggested Rex. \"We'll still have enough people to take a job.\"\n\n\t\"That could work,\" replied Dan. \"But has anyone seen Jack?\"\n\n\t\"I'm right here,\" he shouted coming up to their campsite. He came up with a mask over his mouth. \"I can take care of Rex while you guys go out and do your work.\"\n\n\t\"I don't know,\" said Flint. \"Are you up to the task? I've been with Rex a lot longer and know how to take care of him.\"\n\n\t\"You've been waiting as long as I have,\" coughed Rex. \"I'm sure Jack will do just fine.\"\n\n\t\"If you're sure,\" replied Flint. \"Then we'll leave things to you then, Jack.\" With that, Flint, Dan, and Fonz walked off to the Treasure Hunter's Guild Facility.\n\n\n\tRex soon found that Jack's seemingly selfless act was more of an act than he was letting on. Almost instantly, he sat himself down in a chair to relax. \"If you need anything,\" he mumbled as he tried to take a nap. \"Try not to disturb me.\"\n\n\t\"Is that anyway to behave?\" asked Rex with a sniffle. \"You said you'd take care of me while I'm not feeling well and you pull a stunt like this.\"\n\n\t\"Wait, you're not faking it?\" asked Jack surprised.\n\n\t\"No.\" moaned Rex. \"Do I look like I'm faking?\"\n\n\t\"Guess not,\" said Jack turning a bit pale. \"Uh, what do I do? I don't know how to take care of the ill. I can barely take care of myself without a few dregs to boss around.\"\n\n\t\"Take it easy,\" said Rex. \"We'll be fine. I'm not that sick. Just a bit of rest and a nice day and it'll be a breeze.\"\n\n\t\"Well, if you say so,\" replied Jack. \"I suppose I can do that. So, what should I do first?\"\n\n\t\"Just take it easy for now,\" instructed Rex. \"Dan was making some chicken soup and it should be done soon. A bowl of that should make me feel a lot better.\"\n\n\t\"Sounds easy enough,\" he said relieved. \"I can handle this.\"\n\n\tRex and Jack lay back, enjoying the calm sunny day awaiting the soup to finish cooking. Suddenly, they felt a slight rumbling that seemed to get a little stronger with each passed moment.\n\n\t\"What's going on?\" asked Rex. \"Why's the ground shaking.\"\n\n\t\"I don't know,\" replied Jack. \"Probably just a large Digimon passing by.\"\n\n\t\"I guess, but it feels like they're getting closer to us,\" added Rex.\n\n\t\"I doubt it. Not like we were expected anyone,\" commented Jack.\n\n\t\"True, but it's still getting louder.\" The next thing they knew they were shaded from the sunlight. \"Uh, Jack.\" Rex turned to his friend with worried eyes. Jack swallowed hard as he turned to face Rex. They then both looked up and saw it was a fairly large and hefty Digimon standing right behind them. With a shriek of fear they jumped from their seats.\n\n\tWhen they landed and turned to see who the invader was they were quite shocked to find it was a large brown-scaled Dino Digimon. They had an incredibly round belly and quite thick arms and legs. Their face was full of wrinkles giving them an old appearance and to Jack and Rex's relief they looked friendly. The pink apron they wore helped them to quickly identify the Digimon before them was female despite this being the first time they ever saw a Digimon like this one.\n\n\t\"Oh, I'm so sorry I startled you both,\" she said in a kind voice. \"I just heard some coughing and sneezing and figured someone wasn't feeling well.\"\n\n\t\"Yeah, I've been feeling a little under the weather,\" replied Rex.\n\n\t\"You poor things,\" she replied picking them both up. \"You two shouldn't be left alone if you're not feeling well.\"\n\n\t\"Well the thing is,\" Rex began to say before Jack interrupted him.\n\n\t\"If the lady wants to take care of us,\" he whispered. \"Then I say we let her.\" Rex didn't want to take advantage of the kindness of this Digimon, but before he could say anything else she hugged them both tightly and prevented either of them from saying anything.\n\n\t\"Oh, where are my manners,\" she said as she gently placed them back in their seats. \"I'm an Obamon named Gertie. Who do I have the privilege of taking care of today?\"\n\n\t\"I'm Rex and this here is Jack,\" Rex sniffed. \"It's very nice of you taking care of us.\"\n\n\t\"Think nothing of it,\" she said as she walked over to the pot of soup. \"I love to take care of such young and adorable little Digilings.\" She took a sniff of the soup. \"I see you already had some soup being made so I'll serve it to both of you in a jiffy.\" The two watch as she got to work pouring them both a large bowl of soup and handed each of them a fork so they could start eating right away. \"Is there anything else I can do for you while you eat?\"\n\n\t\"How about a foot rub on my poor tootsies,\" said Jack with puppy dog eyes. Gertie smiled and began giving them both a relaxing massage on their soles making them feel even more relaxed.\n\n\n\tSome time later, Jack and Rex finished the entire pot of soup and felt like they were in heaven as they rubbed their bloated bellies. Obamon took a short while ago much to their disappointed feet.\n\n\t\"I'm feeling much better,\" said Rex with a smile as he stretched his arms. \"Man, I've never been stuck in a bed so long. Guess that's what it feels like to be a couch potato.\"\n\n\t\"Why bother getting up just yet?\" asked Jack. \"No point in getting better so soon when we've got such a nice gig going on here.\"\n\n\t\"I don't think we should keep doing this. After all, she's been so nice to us that I'd feel guilty to keep doing this.\"\n\n\t\"Hey, she's doing this cause she likes taking care of others,\" replied Jack. \"Can you honestly break her heart by telling her that we don't need her anymore?\"\n\n\tRex didn't have time to think that over as Gertie soon returned with armfuls of ingredients. \"Sorry, I was gone so long,\" she said as she got to work cooking. \"wanted to make sure I had enough ingredients to fill up your tummies.\"\n\n\t\"That was really nice of you,\" replied Rex. \"But we just finished the soup a short while ago. You don't have to...\" Rex then saw Gertie sniffle a bit from the words coming out of his mouth and immediately he started to feel really guilty. \"You don't have to worry; you're doing a wonderful job.\" Those words were the only ones Rex could think of to make her happy. Jack gave a smug grin relishing what he considered the \"good life.\"\n\n\t\"Just enjoy the good life and you won't feel so bad,\" he whispered to Rex. \"In just a bit you won't be thinking about anything but relaxation.\"\n\n\tDespite Rex's doubts that he'd prefer a slothful lifestyle when he was getting bedsores sitting around all day he quickly changed his tone when Gertie served them the meal she prepared them from scratch. The fresh ingredients and the flavorful juices were too good for them not to eat down every last piece of food on their plates and even the overwhelming portions she served them were hard to pass up.\n\n\tDuring their feast Gertie began giving them shoulder massages upon Jack's request and as usual she was happy to oblige. But as soon as they finished the realized how stuff they felt.\n\n\t\"Oh, that was good,\" moaned Jack rubbing his even more stuffed belly. He let out a small burp. \"I've never had a bigger meal before.\"\n\n\t\"Well, there was that time at the Cat's Cradle,\" commented Rex. \"But the portions were nowhere near as big as this so it's a hard call. Either way I couldn't move an inch out of this chair if I wanted to.\"\n\n\t\"I see you're learning,\" stated Jack as he gave Rex's gut a poke. Rex just smiled and let off a very large burp to comply.\n\n\t\"Well, I'm going to be off to grab some more food for you two,\" said Gertie, rubbing their heads.\n\n\t\"Huh?\" cried Rex. \"We just had two big meals and you're planning on feeding us more?\"\n\n\t\"Of course,\" she replied. \"I have to make sure you two are properly fed after all.\"\n\n\t\"Just relax,\" replied Jack. \"As far as I see this is hardly anything to be concerned about.\"\n\n\t\"And while I'm away,\" she added. \"I should be able to finish knitting these clothes for you.\"\n\n\tRex was less than pleased to see the in-work design and when he turned to Jack he made a face that was evidence enough that they now had a problem. It was still hard to determine what she was making them, but it had frills and lace on it and that told them enough. Unable to say anything they just watched as Gertie walked off to gather more food.\n\n\t\"Jack,\" said Rex.\n\n\tJack shook his head to shake his thoughts free. \"Don't worry. I'll lay down the law when she gets back. Until then...\"\n\n\t\"Yeah,\" said Rex. \"Until then, what?\"\n\n\t\"Until then,\" finished Jack. \"Try and digest. If worse comes to worse we'll be forcing down another meal.\"\n\n\n\tRex and Jack hoped that their nanny Obamon would have taken longer to return, but she seemed to take half the time to gather ingredients and brought back twice as much this time. Humming a joyful tune she started cooking it.\n\n\t\"Now listen here,\" said Jack in a no-nonsense tone. \"This has got to stop.\"\n\n\t\"It sounds like you're feeling a bit cranky,\" she said as she lifted up Jack and gave him a hug.\n\n\t\"No... I don't want a hug... I am too mature to be treated like this...\" Jack tried saying so many things, but he kept getting stopped in his tracks. \"I'm... I'm feeling better now.\"\n\n\tWith a smile, Gertie placed him back in his seat and turned her cheek so he could give her a smooch. Rex watched him give her a peck on the cheek and just sit there motionless.\n\n\t\"What was that?\" he cried. \"Weren't you going to solve our problem?\"\n\n\t\"I tried, but she's too good,\" he replied. \"She's more manipulative than I am. If she was a lot younger I'd probably have just found my soul mate.\"\n\n\t\"Well your 'soul mate' is going to keep stuffing us till we explode,\" Rex cried.\n\n\t\"Oh, and we're still too bloated to move,\" groaned Jack. \"Where are the other guys when you need them?\"\n\n\t\"You convinced them to go out and now they won't be back for a while. It's only been a few hours and they won't be back till it starts getting dark.\"\n\n\tAs the food continued to cook Gertie came over to them with the completed outfits. \"Here you go you two dearies,\" she said as she replaced Jack's scarf with her hand knitted one and gave Rex a sweater already sized to cover up his bulging belly. It felt awkward for them to wear such ridiculous things, but those thoughts only lasted as they could smell the food getting cooked. Indeed it smelled delicious, but knowing they'd have to eat it all made them feel sick.\n\n\t\"Food's ready,\" she said as she made them both plates with the largest portions yet. They just stared at it, refusing to eat, but unable to say anything about it. Gertie scratched her head, confused for a moment, but then she figured they needed a little help. So she carefully picked them up and sat them on her lap. They sank down into the depths of her fatty belly and combined with their full stomachs draining their strength they were virtually trapped. Then she took Rex's plate and stuffed his maw with food till she couldn't fit another thing in it. She did the same to Jack while Rex did his best to chew and swallow. Each mouthful forced their stomachs to swell out further and make them feel even more overstuffed.\n\n\tAt the pace they had to eat it took them hours to finish their meal and the day grew later and later. They stomachs were like mountains poking out of Gertie's stomach. As she scraped up the remains of the food on their plates and fed it to them, they both knew they had to put an end to this before she decided to feed them anymore.\n\n\t\"Jack,\" moaned Rex. He had to take breaths every few seconds. \"If we have to eat anymore we're finished. We've got to get rid of her before that happens.\"\n\n\t\"How?\" asked Jack weakly. \"We can't even move and even if we can, do you have the guts to lay a finger on her?\"\n\n\t\"I might be able to muster enough strength for one attack,\" explained Rex. \"As for that other problem, if I cover my ears and eyes I should be able to block that out. I just need you to distract her so I have a clear shot.\"\n\n\t\"Alright,\" agreed Jack. \"If this doesn't work it's the end for us.\"\n\n\tThey turned to see Gertie was getting ready to set up for her next trip to gather food. Rex managed to roll out of his chair and crawl off. When he was far enough away, he signaled Jack to begin.\n\n\t\"Oh, Gertie,\" he called. \"Before you go can I... have one more hug?\"\n\n\t\"Of course, dearie,\" she replied as she picked him up and hugged him deep into her chest. He wanted to see behind Gertie to see where Rex was, but he could barely move to take a look.\n\n\tRex lined himself up perfectly several yards behind Gertie and got himself to his feet. He focused his legs and prepared for his attack. \"I'll need to give this my all,\" he thought. \"I don't want to hurt her, but I need to send her flying far, far away.\" He took the sweater she knitted him and covered his head with it.\n\n\t\"Alright,\" said Gertie. \"I'll be going now.\"\n\n\t\"Can't you hug me a little longer?\" asked Jack, knowing he had to keep her in place.\n\n\t\"I'd love to, but I've got to get going,\" she told him. \"I've had a lot of fun, but you two should be fine now.\"\n\n\tJack was at a loss for words as she put him back on her feet and strolled away. He was relieved she was gone and a bit surprised that it ended as peacefully as it did. Then he recalled that Rex was still oblivious of that fact and getting ready to attack.\n\nMACH 1: VEE BULLET\n\n\tJack called out to Rex, but it was too late as she flew at him, unable to see or hear. He collided headfirst into Jack's noggin and they were both out like a light.\n\n\n\t\"Are you guys alright?\" asked Flint shaking them to wake them up.\n\n\t\"What happened?\" asked Jack as he awoke.\n\n\t\"We found you lying on the ground like this,\" explained Dan. \"What happened?\"\n\n\t\"And what's with those things?\" asked Fonz pointing at their knitted clothes. \"We got you guys some new clothes on the way back, but if you prefer that.\"\n\n\t\"No,\" replied Rex. \"It's just been a really weird day.\"\n\n\t\"Why? What happened?\" asked Flint.\n\n\t\"I don't want to relive it,\" replied Jack.\n\n\t\"Me neither,\" added Rex.\n\n\t\"Well, maybe we should take you guys to the medical center just to be on the safe side,\" suggested Dan.\n\n\n\tDespite Rex and Jack's protests that it wasn't necessary they were hit with an ultimatum that they had to go or tell them just what happened. Naturally, the later was out of the question so they made their way there and waited in the reception room.\n\n\tSince it was late they didn't have long before the receptionist let the two of them in. After they let, the receptionist called Flint up.\n\n\t\"You guys were in here earlier?\" she asked.\n\n\t\"Yeah, my friend had a cold and now he and my other friend Jack were on the ground unconscious just a bit ago so we came back to make sure they were alright,\" explained Flint. \"I hope the doctor doesn't mind two visits in one day.\"\n\n\t\"Oh, didn't he tell you he retired today,\" she explained. \"A nurse from a few towns over is taking his place.\"\n\n\t\"Really,\" replied Flint. \"Well, I'm sure Jack and Rex won't mind.\"\n\n\tAs Jack and Rex entered the room they saw the nurse and were quite surprised at how large she was. As she turned to greet them they instantly recognized her. Horror spread across their faces.\n\n\t\"Hello, dearies,\" said Gertie as a smile spread across her face.\n\n\tThe two of them just screamed.",

asked Jack surprised.<br /><br />\t&quot;No.&quot; moaned Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Do I look like I&#039;m faking?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Guess not,&quot; said Jack turning a bit pale.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Uh, what do I do?&nbsp;&nbsp;I don&#039;t know how to take care of the ill.&nbsp;&nbsp;I can barely take care of myself without a few dregs to boss around.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Take it easy,&quot; said Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;We&#039;ll be fine.&nbsp;&nbsp;I&#039;m not that sick.&nbsp;&nbsp;Just a bit of rest and a nice day and it&#039;ll be a breeze.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Well, if you say so,&quot; replied Jack.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I suppose I can do that.&nbsp;&nbsp; So, what should I do first?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Just take it easy for now,&quot; instructed Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Dan was making some chicken soup and it should be done soon.&nbsp;&nbsp;A bowl of that should make me feel a lot better.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Sounds easy enough,&quot; he said relieved.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I can handle this.&quot;<br /><br />\tRex and Jack lay back, enjoying the calm sunny day awaiting the soup to finish cooking.&nbsp;&nbsp;Suddenly, they felt a slight rumbling that seemed to get a little stronger with each passed moment.<br /><br />\t&quot;What&#039;s going on?&quot; asked Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Why&#039;s the ground shaking.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;I don&#039;t know,&quot; replied Jack.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Probably just a large Digimon passing by.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;I guess, but it feels like they&#039;re getting closer to us,&quot; added Rex.<br /><br />\t&quot;I doubt it.&nbsp;&nbsp; Not like we were expected anyone,&quot; commented Jack.<br /><br />\t&quot;True, but it&#039;s still getting louder.&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp; The next thing they knew they were shaded from the sunlight.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Uh, Jack.&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Rex turned to his friend with worried eyes.&nbsp;&nbsp;Jack swallowed hard as he turned to face Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp; They then both looked up and saw it was a fairly large and hefty Digimon standing right behind them.&nbsp;&nbsp; With a shriek of fear they jumped from their seats.<br /><br />\tWhen they landed and turned to see who the invader was they were quite shocked to find it was a large brown-scaled Dino Digimon.&nbsp;&nbsp; They had an incredibly round belly and quite thick arms and legs.&nbsp;&nbsp;Their face was full of wrinkles giving them an old appearance and to Jack and Rex&#039;s relief they looked friendly.&nbsp;&nbsp; The pink apron they wore helped them to quickly identify the Digimon before them was female despite this being the first time they ever saw a Digimon like this one.<br /><br />\t&quot;Oh, I&#039;m so sorry I startled you both,&quot; she said in a kind voice.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I just heard some coughing and sneezing and figured someone wasn&#039;t feeling well.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Yeah, I&#039;ve been feeling a little under the weather,&quot; replied Rex.<br /><br />\t&quot;You poor things,&quot; she replied picking them both up.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; You two shouldn&#039;t be left alone if you&#039;re not feeling well.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Well the thing is,&quot; Rex began to say before Jack interrupted him.<br /><br />\t&quot;If the lady wants to take care of us,&quot; he whispered. &quot; Then I say we let her.&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Rex didn&#039;t want to take advantage of the kindness of this Digimon, but before he could say anything else she hugged them both tightly and prevented either of them from saying anything.<br /><br />\t&quot;Oh, where are my manners,&quot; she said as she gently placed them back in their seats. &quot;I&#039;m an Obamon named Gertie.&nbsp;&nbsp;Who do I have the privilege of taking care of today?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;I&#039;m Rex and this here is Jack,&quot; Rex sniffed.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;It&#039;s very nice of you taking care of us.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Think nothing of it,&quot; she said as she walked over to the pot of soup.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I love to take care of such young and adorable little Digilings.&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp; She took a sniff of the soup.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I see you already had some soup being made so I&#039;ll serve it to both of you in a jiffy.&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp; The two watch as she got to work pouring them both a large bowl of soup and handed each of them a fork so they could start eating right away.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; Is there anything else I can do for you while you eat?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;How about a foot rub on my poor tootsies,&quot; said Jack with puppy dog eyes.&nbsp;&nbsp;Gertie smiled and began giving them both a relaxing massage on their soles making them feel even more relaxed.<br /><br /><br />\tSome time later, Jack and Rex finished the entire pot of soup and felt like they were in heaven as they rubbed their bloated bellies.&nbsp;&nbsp;Obamon took a short while ago much to their disappointed feet.<br /><br />\t&quot;I&#039;m feeling much better,&quot; said Rex with a smile as he stretched his arms.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Man, I&#039;ve never been stuck in a bed so long.&nbsp;&nbsp;Guess that&#039;s what it feels like to be a couch potato.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Why bother getting up just yet?&quot; asked Jack.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; No point in getting better so soon when we&#039;ve got such a nice gig going on here.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;I don&#039;t think we should keep doing this.&nbsp;&nbsp; After all, she&#039;s been so nice to us that I&#039;d feel guilty to keep doing this.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Hey, she&#039;s doing this cause she likes taking care of others,&quot; replied Jack.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; Can you honestly break her heart by telling her that we don&#039;t need her anymore?&quot;<br /><br />\tRex didn&#039;t have time to think that over as Gertie soon returned with armfuls of ingredients.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Sorry, I was gone so long,&quot; she said as she got to work cooking.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;wanted to make sure I had enough ingredients to fill up your tummies.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;That was really nice of you,&quot; replied Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; But we just finished the soup a short while ago.&nbsp;&nbsp; You don&#039;t have to...&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Rex then saw Gertie sniffle a bit from the words coming out of his mouth and immediately he started to feel really guilty.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; You don&#039;t have to worry; you&#039;re doing a wonderful job.&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp; Those words were the only ones Rex could think of to make her happy.&nbsp;&nbsp;Jack gave a smug grin relishing what he considered the &quot;good life.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Just enjoy the good life and you won&#039;t feel so bad,&quot; he whispered to Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; In just a bit you won&#039;t be thinking about anything but relaxation.&quot;<br /><br />\tDespite Rex&#039;s doubts that he&#039;d prefer a slothful lifestyle when he was getting bedsores sitting around all day he quickly changed his tone when Gertie served them the meal she prepared them from scratch.&nbsp;&nbsp; The fresh ingredients and the flavorful juices were too good for them not to eat down every last piece of food on their plates and even the overwhelming portions she served them were hard to pass up.<br /><br />\tDuring their feast Gertie began giving them shoulder massages upon Jack&#039;s request and as usual she was happy to oblige.&nbsp;&nbsp; But as soon as they finished the realized how stuff they felt.<br /><br />\t&quot;Oh, that was good,&quot; moaned Jack rubbing his even more stuffed belly.&nbsp;&nbsp; He let out a small burp.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I&#039;ve never had a bigger meal before.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Well, there was that time at the Cat&#039;s Cradle,&quot; commented Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; But the portions were nowhere near as big as this so it&#039;s a hard call.&nbsp;&nbsp;Either way I couldn&#039;t move an inch out of this chair if I wanted to.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;I see you&#039;re learning,&quot; stated Jack as he gave Rex&#039;s gut a poke.&nbsp;&nbsp;Rex just smiled and let off a very large burp to comply.<br /><br />\t&quot;Well, I&#039;m going to be off to grab some more food for you two,&quot; said Gertie, rubbing their heads.<br /><br />\t&quot;Huh?&quot; cried Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; We just had two big meals and you&#039;re planning on feeding us more?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Of course,&quot; she replied.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I have to make sure you two are properly fed after all.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Just relax,&quot; replied Jack. &quot; As far as I see this is hardly anything to be concerned about.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;And while I&#039;m away,&quot; she added.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I should be able to finish knitting these clothes for you.&quot;<br /><br />\tRex was less than pleased to see the in-work design and when he turned to Jack he made a face that was evidence enough that they now had a problem.&nbsp;&nbsp; It was still hard to determine what she was making them, but it had frills and lace on it and that told them enough.&nbsp;&nbsp;Unable to say anything they just watched as Gertie walked off to gather more food.<br /><br />\t&quot;Jack,&quot; said Rex.<br /><br />\tJack shook his head to shake his thoughts free.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Don&#039;t worry.&nbsp;&nbsp;I&#039;ll lay down the law when she gets back.&nbsp;&nbsp;Until then...&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Yeah,&quot; said Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Until then, what?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Until then,&quot; finished Jack. &quot;Try and digest.&nbsp;&nbsp; If worse comes to worse we&#039;ll be forcing down another meal.&quot;<br /><br /><br />\tRex and Jack hoped that their nanny Obamon would have taken longer to return, but she seemed to take half the time to gather ingredients and brought back twice as much this time.&nbsp;&nbsp;Humming a joyful tune she started cooking it.<br /><br />\t&quot;Now listen here,&quot; said Jack in a no-nonsense tone.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; This has got to stop.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;It sounds like you&#039;re feeling a bit cranky,&quot; she said as she lifted up Jack and gave him a hug.<br /><br />\t&quot;No... I don&#039;t want a hug...&nbsp;&nbsp;I am too mature to be treated like this...&quot; Jack tried saying so many things, but he kept getting stopped in his tracks. &quot;I&#039;m... I&#039;m feeling better now.&quot;<br /><br />\tWith a smile, Gertie placed him back in his seat and turned her cheek so he could give her a smooch.&nbsp;&nbsp;Rex watched him give her a peck on the cheek and just sit there motionless.<br /><br />\t&quot;What was that?&quot; he cried.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Weren&#039;t you going to solve our problem?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;I tried, but she&#039;s too good,&quot; he replied. &quot;She&#039;s more manipulative than I am.&nbsp;&nbsp; If she was a lot younger I&#039;d probably have just found my soul mate.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Well your &#039;soul mate&#039; is going to keep stuffing us till we explode,&quot; Rex cried.<br /><br />\t&quot;Oh, and we&#039;re still too bloated to move,&quot; groaned Jack.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Where are the other guys when you need them?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;You convinced them to go out and now they won&#039;t be back for a while.&nbsp;&nbsp;It&#039;s only been a few hours and they won&#039;t be back till it starts getting dark.&quot;<br /><br />\tAs the food continued to cook Gertie came over to them with the completed outfits.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; Here you go you two dearies,&quot; she said as she replaced Jack&#039;s scarf with her hand knitted one and gave Rex a sweater already sized to cover up his bulging belly.&nbsp;&nbsp; It felt awkward for them to wear such ridiculous things, but those thoughts only lasted as they could smell the food getting cooked.&nbsp;&nbsp;Indeed it smelled delicious, but knowing they&#039;d have to eat it all made them feel sick.<br /><br />\t&quot;Food&#039;s ready,&quot; she said as she made them both plates with the largest portions yet.&nbsp;&nbsp; They just stared at it, refusing to eat, but unable to say anything about it.&nbsp;&nbsp;Gertie scratched her head, confused for a moment, but then she figured they needed a little help.&nbsp;&nbsp; So she carefully picked them up and sat them on her lap.&nbsp;&nbsp; They sank down into the depths of her fatty belly and combined with their full stomachs draining their strength they were virtually trapped.&nbsp;&nbsp; Then she took Rex&#039;s plate and stuffed his maw with food till she couldn&#039;t fit another thing in it.&nbsp;&nbsp; She did the same to Jack while Rex did his best to chew and swallow.&nbsp;&nbsp; Each mouthful forced their stomachs to swell out further and make them feel even more overstuffed.<br /><br />\tAt the pace they had to eat it took them hours to finish their meal and the day grew later and later.&nbsp;&nbsp; They stomachs were like mountains poking out of Gertie&#039;s stomach.&nbsp;&nbsp; As she scraped up the remains of the food on their plates and fed it to them, they both knew they had to put an end to this before she decided to feed them anymore.<br /><br />\t&quot;Jack,&quot; moaned Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp; He had to take breaths every few seconds.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; If we have to eat anymore we&#039;re finished.&nbsp;&nbsp;We&#039;ve got to get rid of her before that happens.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;How?&quot; asked Jack weakly.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; We can&#039;t even move and even if we can, do you have the guts to lay a finger on her?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;I might be able to muster enough strength for one attack,&quot; explained Rex. &quot; As for that other problem, if I cover my ears and eyes I should be able to block that out.&nbsp;&nbsp;I just need you to distract her so I have a clear shot.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Alright,&quot; agreed Jack. &quot; If this doesn&#039;t work it&#039;s the end for us.&quot;<br /><br />\tThey turned to see Gertie was getting ready to set up for her next trip to gather food.&nbsp;&nbsp;Rex managed to roll out of his chair and crawl off.&nbsp;&nbsp; When he was far enough away, he signaled Jack to begin.<br /><br />\t&quot;Oh, Gertie,&quot; he called.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; Before you go can I... have one more hug?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Of course, dearie,&quot; she replied as she picked him up and hugged him deep into her chest.&nbsp;&nbsp; He wanted to see behind Gertie to see where Rex was, but he could barely move to take a look.<br /><br />\tRex lined himself up perfectly several yards behind Gertie and got himself to his feet.&nbsp;&nbsp; He focused his legs and prepared for his attack.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I&#039;ll need to give this my all,&quot; he thought.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I don&#039;t want to hurt her, but I need to send her flying far, far away.&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp; He took the sweater she knitted him and covered his head with it.<br /><br />\t&quot;Alright,&quot; said Gertie. &quot;I&#039;ll be going now.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Can&#039;t you hug me a little longer?&quot; asked Jack, knowing he had to keep her in place.<br /><br />\t&quot;I&#039;d love to, but I&#039;ve got to get going,&quot; she told him.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I&#039;ve had a lot of fun, but you two should be fine now.&quot;<br /><br />\tJack was at a loss for words as she put him back on her feet and strolled away.&nbsp;&nbsp; He was relieved she was gone and a bit surprised that it ended as peacefully as it did.&nbsp;&nbsp; Then he recalled that Rex was still oblivious of that fact and getting ready to attack.<br /><br />MACH 1: VEE BULLET<br /><br />\tJack called out to Rex, but it was too late as she flew at him, unable to see or hear.&nbsp;&nbsp; He collided headfirst into Jack&#039;s noggin and they were both out like a light.<br /><br /><br />\t&quot;Are you guys alright?&quot; asked Flint shaking them to wake them up.<br /><br />\t&quot;What happened?&quot; asked Jack as he awoke.<br /><br />\t&quot;We found you lying on the ground like this,&quot; explained Dan.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot; What happened?&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;And what&#039;s with those things?&quot; asked Fonz pointing at their knitted clothes. &quot; We got you guys some new clothes on the way back, but if you prefer that.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;No,&quot; replied Rex.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;It&#039;s just been a really weird day.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Why?&nbsp;&nbsp;What happened?&quot; asked Flint.<br /><br />\t&quot;I don&#039;t want to relive it,&quot; replied Jack.<br /><br />\t&quot;Me neither,&quot; added Rex.<br /><br />\t&quot;Well, maybe we should take you guys to the medical center just to be on the safe side,&quot; suggested Dan.<br /><br /><br />\tDespite Rex and Jack&#039;s protests that it wasn&#039;t necessary they were hit with an ultimatum that they had to go or tell them just what happened.&nbsp;&nbsp;Naturally, the later was out of the question so they made their way there and waited in the reception room.<br /><br />\tSince it was late they didn&#039;t have long before the receptionist let the two of them in.&nbsp;&nbsp; After they let, the receptionist called Flint up.<br /><br />\t&quot;You guys were in here earlier?&quot; she asked.<br /><br />\t&quot;Yeah, my friend had a cold and now he and my other friend Jack were on the ground unconscious just a bit ago so we came back to make sure they were alright,&quot; explained Flint.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I hope the doctor doesn&#039;t mind two visits in one day.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Oh, didn&#039;t he tell you he retired today,&quot; she explained.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;A nurse from a few towns over is taking his place.&quot;<br /><br />\t&quot;Really,&quot; replied Flint.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;Well, I&#039;m sure Jack and Rex won&#039;t mind.&quot;<br /><br />\tAs Jack and Rex entered the room they saw the nurse and were quite surprised at how large she was.&nbsp;&nbsp; As she turned to greet them they instantly recognized her.&nbsp;&nbsp;Horror spread across their faces.<br /><br />\t&quot;Hello, dearies,&quot; said Gertie as a smile spread across her face.<br /><br />\tThe two of them just screamed.</span>",
