However, just as he’s consumed by the undulating surface of the water, Yoshi is suddenly thrust upward through the ocean’s surface by something that had surged from underneath! Disoriented and sputtering, the little green dino can’t even tell what it was that had saved him since its back is as blue as the waters below. Could it be something that actually wants to devour him? For a moment, Yoshi wants to jump off, for all the good it would do in the presence of an aquatic predator, so what a surprise it is when the creature curls its body around to show a friendly, smiling, begoggled face looking back at him! It is a dolphin of the Mushroom Kingdom, a creature known for its adaptability for carrying passengers across water. At that moment, the relieved Yoshi knows that rescue had arrived. When the dolphin squeaks and gestures his head in the direction of land, Yoshi smiles and nods, preparing himself for a ride he will never forget.\n\nHowever, we all know how whimsical dolphin behavior can be. With a social culture far less strict than that of humans, their conduct can be impulsive, self-indulgent, or even hedonistic- especially in terms of sexuality.
