And now we are standing right in front of the tower… MAN IS HIGH!! I bet there are thousands of floors there! Ok, I might be exaggerating, but it’s seriously high! And for what comes to us, maybe the best pokémon we could get are at the very top of the tower, where I can see something. It seems like a giant bell? No, that’s on Celestial Tower back in Unova. But it seriously seems to be something at the top. I bet it might be a shire or something like that. Well, we better hurry. First we have to find that man and give him the snatching machine before we go into the tower. And for what I see, his house is right next to the tower. Piece of cake.\n\n[right]Cya later diary\n\nDraco[/right][/i]\n\nThe three younglings walked into the path that would lead them to the house of Roland. Draco was the first to arrive since he had ran there with his friends behind. The wolgon knocked the door quickly and it opened surprisingly. The house was empty.\n\n“Well, this is rather disappointing” said Lucian reaching Draco and looking at the inside of the house.\n\n“It’s not right… he was supposed to be here” said Katy reaching them with the others.\n\n“Then? What do we do?” asked Leonidas “You promised Dustin that you’ll get Genosect back and deliver it to him.”\n\n“I know what I promised Leonidas, but if Roland is not here…” started Draco but a tremble in the ground made him stop as they had to try to keep balance “What was THAT?!”\n\n“An earthquake?” asked Stuart a bit worried.\n\n“I don’t think that was an earthquake” said Katy looking at the tower where a cloud of smoke was leaking from a wall.\n\nThe three and the pokémon ran into the tower and rushed upstairs only to be faced by Team Chaos soldiers. Draco called forth Leonidas since the soldiers had Golbats out for the battle. With a rushing attack of psycho cut, the Golbats were defeated and the soldiers retreated allowing Draco and the others way upstairs. They ran faster and in that moment were faced by someone they already had faced before, the sexy dressed robin Lunny, who by that time was with her pokémon partners blocking the way to the stairs.\n\n“Well, well, looks like I got some company” giggled Lunny looking at the trio of furs.\n\n“You are the one who snatched Rampardos!” shouted Stuart very angry.\n\n“We need to go up… what would happen if Roland was up there?” worried Katy.\n\n“Roland? The inventor?” asked Lunny and laughed out loud “Of course he’s up there… we dragged him to that place.”\n\n“Why would you do that?!” shouted Draco.\n\n“Because he’s the only one able to open the gate that keeps us apart from one of the sacred treasures” said Lunny “The Sky Crown, which will grant us power over the guardian of Galian’s skies.”\n\n“So that’s what you’re up to.” smiled Stuart and turned at Draco and Katy “Guys, I take care of her, you go to the top.”\n\n“You sure you’ll be fine Stuart?” asked Katy.\n\n“Yes, just go” nodded Stuart tossing one of his pokeballs that summoned Rampardos.\n\n“I won’t let you pass!” shouted Lunny “Absol use shadow ball on those punks!”\n\nAbsol obeyed and charged a shadow ball, but Rampardos moved fast using flamecharge, previously ordered by Stuart to block and smack Absol to the ground while Draco, Katy and Draco’s pokémon ran upstairs.\n\n“Your fight is with me” smiled Stuart “And I’m up to show you how much stronger I’ve become!”\n\n“We’ll see about that!” growled Lunny “Absol use iron tail! Shiftry use leaf storm!”\n\n“Rampardos go at them with Flame charge!” ordered Stuart as he tossed his second pokeball “A nice surprise for you… Go Figeron!”\n\n“It evolved?!” shouted Lunny surprised.\n\n“Figeron support Rampardos using match punch against those two!” ordered Stuart.\n\nThe sound of the battle reached them and Draco was amazed to hear that Stuart’s Froleg had evolved into a Figeron. That meant he was behind him since Drake hadn’t evolved yet. They still needed a lot to do before that could happen, and lots of attacks to learn too. Katy ran faster for a moment and reached the third floor.\n\n“Eek! Draco, watch out!” yelled Katy as she moved from a side of the stair disappearing in the ceiling of the staircase and floor of the next area.\n\nDraco dodged sticking his back to the wall just like his pokémon just in the moment a powerful dark pulse passed in front of them. Once finished, the wolgon and pokémon ran to the next floor and saw Katy in the floor trying to stand up and Franky in front of her with his Umbreon and now a Dusknoir next to him.\n\n“Well, if it’s the brat that’s been meddling with us!” yelled Franky “Umbreom, Dusknoir, shadow ball!”\n\nDraco dodged the shadow balls just like his pokemons and looked at Franky. Immediately he ordered Lucian to step forth and the Lucario did without thinking twice.\n\n“Wait Draco!” rushed Katy “Let me this one to me. I bet you’d do better in the upper floors. Once I’m done I’ll reach you.”\n\n“Katy these guys are dangerous you saw what he and Lunny did to me back in Clashton Village.”\n\n“I’m ready for that Draco, Stuart and I have been working together with our friends to become stronger.” Argued Katy looking at Franky “This runt will go down easily.”\n\n“I’m here you know?” reclaimed Franky “Umbreom use shadow ball, Dusknoir use dark pulse!”\n\n“Garguan use frenzy plant! Swellow use aerial ace!” ordered Katy sending his two pokeballs to the air.\n\nThe pokémon popped out and obeyed making an impact that stopped the enemies’ attacks. Katty smiled and noticed that Draco was surprised to see how her Reptyst had evolved too.\n\n“Go on! I’ll take care of him!” shouted Katy.\n\nDraco nodded and rushed upstairs followed by his loyal pokémon and boyfriend Lucian and his other partners running behind them. Now there were two battles in the lower floors and Draco was surprised to see how they had evolved their starters or partners to the ultimate level. And he was still having Drake without evolving. He needed to train more with him. But that would have to wait; now the security in the tower and of Roland was priority. And with that thought he reached the fourth floor where he found an old skunk panting and facing Roky. The vice leader seemed to be in a tight battle.\n\n“Hey! I’m here to help!” shouted Draco running to the one he supposed would be Roland “You’re Roland, right?”\n\n“Yes, but I don’t need help.” said Roland. His clothes were notably those of a scientist, formal shirt and pants and a lab coat over it. Though he was obviously tired, his pokémon seemed to be in top form. A Mightyena and a Magnezone that were putting a hard time to Roky’s Houndoom and Villeplume “Upstairs, in the top floor, that rascal of Joewy is facing a legendary pokémon, you must hurry because he was winning.”\n\n“What?!” shouted Draco “I thought they needed you!”\n\n“That Darkrai came rushing to my help and I managed to come here” said Roland surprising Draco.\n\n“A Darkrai?!” shouted the wolgon and needed no other advise to rush upstairs.\n\nRoland returned to the battle that his pokémon partners were standing alone during the briefing he did to Draco. Apparently those were pretty powerful and Roky was indeed against the wall with that fight. That made Draco feel confident about Roland’s victory and considering there was only one more snatcher machine, then it was good to know that Team Chaos was losing assets.\n\nThe hurried rush drove Draco upstairs to an open space with a huge shire-like construction that resembled Ho-oh and another bird pokémon that Draco could only consider it was Venta. It was indeed a beautiful sight if it weren’t for the fact that, next to the huge bell both legendary pokémon statues were holding, was a highly damaged Darkrai trying to stand up. His body full of wounds and covered a bit with blood wetting his body. Draco gaped at it and saw that Joewy was there too, standing in front of Darkrai with Genesect panting, it seemed like the pokémon was doing the things by his own will, but Draco noticed the fade red glow in his eyes. They had done something to him.\n\n“That’s enough!” shouted Draco running to Joewy.\n\n“Oh! Aren’t you the little brat that tried to retrieve Genesect?!” mocked Joewy “Cuz as you can see he’s willing to follow my commands.”\n\n“I noticed his eyes…” snarled Draco standing in a rush between Joewy and Darkrai “He’s being controlled.”\n\n“Nice eyes then…” smiled Joewy “However, this Darkrai is standing in my way to retrieve the Sky Crown.”\n\n“Like if I’d ever allow a villain like you to take it!” roared Draco “Lucian, Drake, Leonidas!”\n\nThe pokémon stood in front of the wolgon and got ready for a fight that Genesect won’t be able to win. Joewy smiled and inserted a disc on the back of Genesect.\n\n“Genesect use techno blast” ordered Joewy and the pokémon obeyed charging the attack.\n\n“Lucian use aura sphere, Drake use flamethrower, Leonidas use brick break!” ordered Draco.\n\nBut the order came late and only Drake managed to dodge the impact that paralyzed Lucian and Leonidas making them grunt as they tried to move but were unable to do it. The dragon returned to his position and roared sending his flamethrower against Genesect that received it directly.\n\n“Damn!” shouted Joewy when Genesect went down “I’ll not let you stand in my way little brat! Krowcrown, Umbreon, Dusknoir!”\n\nThe three pokémon popped out of their pokeballs and faced the dragon pokemon. Draco snarled but remembered he had Galapagus in his pokeball. So he threw it and called him forth.\n\n“Galapagus come!” shouted Draco as the pokémon appeared next to Drake “Ok guys! Drake use scratch on Umbreon, Galapagus use blizzard after Drake retreats!”\n\nDrake rushed and the sharp claws turned into a black gauntlet of shadows as he rushed making an impact on Umbreon sending him to the ground but not defeating him. Drake returned and Galapagus used blizzard as ordered freezing Umbreon and defeating Krowcrown, but Dusknoir managed to dodge the attack.\n\n“Way to go Drake and Galapagus!” cheered Draco “And it’s good to see you learned a new attack Drake!”\n\nThe Firegon cheered with a cry happy too and looking at Dusknoir, with shadow claw, now he would be able to attack and defeat him.\n\n“L-Leave…” mumbled finally Darkrai making Draco turn around “D-D-Draco… you… must leave…”\n\n“It’s ok, I’ll protect you now like you did with me in the past” smiled Draco and returned his attention to Joewy “Time to pay Joewy! Drake use shadow claw, Galapagus use aqua brust!”\n\n“I don’t think so…” grinned Joewy “Dusknoir dodge and use trick room!”\n\nDusknoir dodged and used trick room making the fast Drake to slow down and increasing Galapagus’ speed. Draco smiled.\n\n“I thought you’d learned your lesson using that already” giggled Draco.\n\n“And you forget the use of items!” laughed Joewy “Dusknoir use thunderpunch on Carracosta!”\n\nThe impact was swift and Draco didn’t saw it coming. Dusknoir was faster now and that was a bad sign. He could defeat them now easily. Galapagus received the impact and fell on his knees panting and looking at Dusknoir unable to attack. Fortunately, the shadow claw impacted the ghost pokémon but it seemed to cause little damage on him.\n\n“C’mon guys! I know you can do this!” shouted Draco “Galapagus use aqua burst again, Drake continue using shadow claw!”\n\nTe battle continued and Draco took a chance to run and give Lucian and Leonidas a lava cookie he had bought before leaving Carcaza City. That would help them with the paralysis but the small distraction caused a deft thump when Galapagus fell to the ground fainted.\n\n“Damn! NO GALAPAGUS!” shouted Draco realizing his mistake and rushing back next to Drake returning Galapagus to his pokeball “You did a good job my friend, I’m sorry… Drake use flamethrower!”\n\nDrake obeyed and spitted a stream of fire that impacted Dusknoir sending him back.\n\n“Draco we’re ready to fight!” said Lucian rushing to the wolgon.\n\n“Let me handle this too!” begged Leonidas.\n\n“Ok guys, we’ll take him out!” said Draco nodding “Leonidas use night slash, Lucian use dark pulse, Drake use shadow claw!”\n\n“Dusknoir use shadow punch on Gallade, sucker punch on Firegon and then use thunder punch against that Lucario… don’t damage him too much, I want him.\n\nThe three pokémon got ready to attack but trick room made Dusknoir move faster. The first impacted was Drake who fell to the ground since Dusknoir slammed him from above, then Leonidas fell gripping his last bit of energy. Finally, Dusknoir attacked Lucian and he became paralyzed again unable to move once more. And Dusknoir surprisingly appeared in front of Draco making him trip back and fall seated one inch away of Darkrai.\n\n“Dusknoir use Dark pulse” ordered Joewy and the pokémon charged the attack impacting Draco and Darkrai at the same time.\n\nBoth rolled on their side grunting and Draco stopped a few meters away from the edge. He lifted his head and saw Darkrai roll farther and approach dangerously at the edge of the tower.\n\n“DARKRAI!” shouted Draco crawling on the floor.\n\nDarkrai rolled away and passed the edge of the tower heading to the open fall. But Draco managed to reach him on time and grab his hand slipping a bit.\n\n“ACK!” roared Draco with the sudden tension on his muscles “DARKRAI!” shouted Draco but Darkrai was now fainted.\n\n“Good… stay like that and I’ll take my prize” said Joewy passing Draco’s pokémon and opening a secret compartment below the giant bell taking from it a golden crown with black jewels, maybe onyx.\n\nDraco gave a small glimpse at it and returned his sight at the pit he was when the weight of Darkrai pulled him more. The wolgon opened his wings and tried to move them to pull them up, uselessly. The sound of a zeppelin came and rushed steps came from the stairs. Roky, Franky and Lunny entered the top area. All three defeated and angry for that.\n\n“Well brat, I guess this is good bye… at least for you” mocked Joewy “Don’t expect me to come to pray to your tomb hahahaha!”\n\nThe air vehicle passed from the tower and Draco heard another set of pawsteps rushing upstairs. Roland, Katy and Stuart entered the top area now and the lynx screamed when she saw Draco barely standing on the edge of the tower and about to fall.\n\n“DRACO!” shouted Katy running to him but it was too late.\n\n“DRACO!” screamed Lucian when he saw the wolgon only holding to the floor with his paws. He tried but was unable to move.\n\nDraco disappeared on the edge of the tower with a desperate scream as he tried to fly but his wings were small and unable to carry him. Katy, Stuart and Roland ran to there, but a swift shadow passed pushing them to the floor and jumped from the edge to the emptiness. Katy rushed to the edge and saw Drake diving down almost reaching Draco and a Darkrai which Draco was gripping. It was valiant from the dragon pokémon to rush that way, but he wouldn’t be able to carry both… one would die.\n\nDraco looked up and saw his friend rushing down to him. Drake passed them and grabbed Draco with one paw and Darkrai with the other and started to move the wings trying to fly but unable to do it. He was too small like to carry both of them and that made Draco cry.\n\n“Go… you’ll hurt yourself!” shouted Draco but Drake shook his head.\n\n“I… want… to… save… you!” shouted Drake surprising Draco. He had spoke in common language, but then he cried pulling up unable to help more but to slow the fall slightly.\n\nTo Draco that could have been a mind trick in the peril hour, but Drake seemed focused in save him more than to speak again, if he had ever spoke before. The wolgon looked at Darkrai and sighed. That was for sure their end, and the rushing ground that was going at them was the sentence. But then a blinding light came and he felt warmth in his body, right where Drake had him gripped. Draco looked up and saw the body of the medium sized pokémon shinning and growing.\n\n“H-he’s evolving!” shouted Draco and Drake roared.\n\nDrake’s wings grew enormously and his paws almost covered Draco chest and waist. The back of the dragon started to move freely and when all the light show faded, Draco saw the flaming mane of Draflaren moving with the wind as he flew up high carrying him and Darkrai back to the top of the tower. After reaching it, Drake left Draco and Darkrai carefully in the floor and stood behind them. Katy was crying when Draco raised his head. The lynx hugged him almost taking his breath away.\n\n“W-why? Why would you risk your life like that?” asked Katy and the answer came from Stuart who had helped Lucian and Leonidas to recover. Lucian rushed to Draco and hugged him crying too while Leonidas seemed to be more relieved now.\n\n“Because he couldn’t allow a pokémon to die.” said Stuart looking at Draco “Isn’t it? You just can’t allow yourself to stand looking and do nothing… Now I know it and I think if I were in your place up here instead of you, I’d have done the same.”\n\nDraco opened his eyes and smiled. Of course, it had to be him. But it was not to the wolgon to tell Stuart that. He looked at Roland now and noticed he had the snatching machine in his hands.\n\n“We needed you to repair it so we can retrieve that Genesect.” Said Draco “They stole it from Dustin, Carcaza City’s Gym leader.”\n\n“I’ll do the best I can” said Roland looking at them and noticing the wounds on Darkrai “That Darkrai will die if he’s not attended soon. Shinoben Village is not far from here. You can go and take him to the pokémon center flying. But the wounds would only get worse with time. You better catch him.”\n\n“I can’t do that!” shouted Draco “I’m no one to catch a legend!”\n\n“Is that or his life…” said Katy getting close to Draco and giving him an ultraball “Due to his state, I bet this will be enough.”\n\nDraco looked at the ultraball and took it with a sigh. He looked at Darkrai and asked for his forgiveness for what he was about to do. And with a slight touch, Darkrai went into the ultraball without fighting back. Then the wolgon looked at his friends and his partners.\n\n“Drake, you think you can take us to Shinoben?” asked Draco and the big dragon nodded. “Lucian and Leonidas too?”\n\nDrake crouched and showed the space on his back to be enough. Draco jumped just like Lucian and Leonidas and the dragon flew up.\n\n“We’ll see you there as soon as we reach the village!” shouted Stuart “Wait for us before you face that Gym!”\n\n“I will!” yelled Draco and Drake flew away in direction to Shinoben village.\n\n-----\n\nThe day had been slow by the time and no one had come. Certainly no one was challenging the Gym. Most of the patients came poisoned from it. But for nurse Joy that was a good notice. Suddenly, the door of the pokémon center opened and a dirty wolgon with the clothes stained in dust and dirt came rushing to the counter. Behind him, a Lucario and a Gallade, just like a Draflaren came in too.\n\n“W-what’s the matter?” asked nurse Joy “What happened to you?”\n\n“Please…” begged Draco placing the ultraball in the counter “Please… he needs help… he’s in danger, about to die.”\n\nThose words shocked nurse Joy and she took the ultraball rushing to the operations room with a Chansey, a Blissey and an Audino. Draco rushed and entered in the operations room but was kicked out as soon as nurse Joy saw the pokémon she had to attend. Her first reaction was to scream but once she put herself together, and kicked Draco out, she started to help the poor pokémon.\n\nThe hours passed like if they were centuries. Draco was way worried about Darkrai. He had helped him and saved his life twice. And now that he tried to do the same…\n\n“Draco!” shouted Katy entering the Pokémon center after several hours that Draco had waiting there.\n\n“Katy!” moaned Draco and rushed to his friend hugging her “I don’t want him to die…”\n\n“He won’t” said nurse Joy getting close to the pair “You’re lucky boy. I don’t know how you caught a Darkrai, but he’s stable now. Wounded and all, but stable. It will take him a bit but I guess by tomorrow he will be fine. He’s conscious now by the way.\n\n“I want to see him” said Draco gripping the ultraball tightly.\n\nNurse Joy nodded and guided Draco and Katy into the room Darkrai was now. The pokémon was connected to several machines and looking to the roof with his shining blue eye. Draco got close and looked at him.\n\n“I’m sorry…” cried Draco “I’m sorry…”\n\n“You… did what you could…” said Darkrai panting as he talked.\n\n“I couldn’t help you…” sobbed Draco.\n\n“You saved my life…” said Darkrai trying to rub Draco’s cheek tuff but unable to move a lot without feeling pain.\n\n“I had to catch you in an ultraball to do it” said Draco and Darkrai’s face instead of fury showed comprehension.\n\n“I wanted that, you know?” said Darkrai “I wanted to be part of your party… to be friends with you…”\n\n“We were friends already, weren’t we?” asked Draco confused.\n\n“There are several kinds of friendships… and what I wanted was deeper” said Darkrai without inhibitions.\n\n“I’ll release you” said Draco and Darkrai’s face turned shadowy.\n\n“I rather stay like this” said Darkrai.\n\n“No… I can’t affort to lose you and if that means to let you go…” Draco raised the ultraball and a blue beam was shot at Darkrai who dropped a tear.\n\nBut then, the black and yellow ball shone bright and Darkrai turned around looking at the spectacle. The top face of the ultraball turned completely black and the lower white part became black as well. They were more now. Five in the team and he had good friends in each one of them. The wolgon turned around to leave and in his mind he heard Darkrai’s voice.\n\n“Noir…” said Darkrai “My name is Noir…”\n\n“Welcome to the team Noir” said Draco as he walked away together with Lucian, Leonidas and Drake so Noir could rest.\n\nThe wolgon passed the message to the others and smiled. Apparently they had heard it too. Draco walked into the waiting room and looked at Katy who was now with Stuart. The hamster had already arrived bringing several items with him. He smiled at that and got close to them saying that Darkrai was fine and showing them the legend ball. Stuart became surprised absolutely by that… And Draco was now feeling proud. He knew he was destined, just like Stuart, to be the partner of one of Galian’s guardians. But he never imagined that he would end up being the partner of another legendary pokémon. Not that he wasn’t feeling good with that; just that it felt weird. But however that would be… the next day he would go to the Gym and face the Gym leader for his fifth Badge. Of course, Darkrai would be banned from fighting that battle since he would still be weak and wounded. Dear Diary:
Katy, Stuart and I made it after a long trip to the Heaven’s Tower. And now we are standing right in front of the tower… MAN IS HIGH!! I bet there are thousands of floors there! Ok, I might be exaggerating, but it’s seriously high! And for what comes to us, maybe the best pokémon we could get are at the very top of the tower, where I can see something. It seems like a giant bell? No, that’s on Celestial Tower back in Unova. But it seriously seems to be something at the top. I bet it might be a shire or something like that. Well, we better hurry. First we have to find that man and give him the snatching machine before we go into the tower. And for what I see, his house is right next to the tower. Piece of cake.

Draco
The three younglings walked into the path that would lead them to the house of Roland. Draco was the first to arrive since he had ran there with his friends behind. The wolgon knocked the door quickly and it opened surprisingly. The house was empty.
“Well, this is rather disappointing” said Lucian reaching Draco and looking at the inside of the house.
“It’s not right… he was supposed to be here” said Katy reaching them with the others.
“Then? What do we do?” asked Leonidas “You promised Dustin that you’ll get Genosect back and deliver it to him.”
“I know what I promised Leonidas, but if Roland is not here…” started Draco but a tremble in the ground made him stop as they had to try to keep balance “What was THAT?!”
“An earthquake?” asked Stuart a bit worried.
“I don’t think that was an earthquake” said Katy looking at the tower where a cloud of smoke was leaking from a wall.
The three and the pokémon ran into the tower and rushed upstairs only to be faced by Team Chaos soldiers. Draco called forth Leonidas since the soldiers had Golbats out for the battle. With a rushing attack of psycho cut, the Golbats were defeated and the soldiers retreated allowing Draco and the others way upstairs. They ran faster and in that moment were faced by someone they already had faced before, the sexy dressed robin Lunny, who by that time was with her pokémon partners blocking the way to the stairs.
“Well, well, looks like I got some company” giggled Lunny looking at the trio of furs.
“You are the one who snatched Rampardos!” shouted Stuart very angry.
“We need to go up… what would happen if Roland was up there?” worried Katy.
“Roland? The inventor?” asked Lunny and laughed out loud “Of course he’s up there… we dragged him to that place.”
“Why would you do that?!” shouted Draco.
“Because he’s the only one able to open the gate that keeps us apart from one of the sacred treasures” said Lunny “The Sky Crown, which will grant us power over the guardian of Galian’s skies.”
“So that’s what you’re up to.” smiled Stuart and turned at Draco and Katy “Guys, I take care of her, you go to the top.”
“You sure you’ll be fine Stuart?” asked Katy.
“Yes, just go” nodded Stuart tossing one of his pokeballs that summoned Rampardos.
“I won’t let you pass!” shouted Lunny “Absol use shadow ball on those punks!”
Absol obeyed and charged a shadow ball, but Rampardos moved fast using flamecharge, previously ordered by Stuart to block and smack Absol to the ground while Draco, Katy and Draco’s pokémon ran upstairs.
“Your fight is with me” smiled Stuart “And I’m up to show you how much stronger I’ve become!”
“We’ll see about that!” growled Lunny “Absol use iron tail! Shiftry use leaf storm!”
“Rampardos go at them with Flame charge!” ordered Stuart as he tossed his second pokeball “A nice surprise for you… Go Figeron!”
“It evolved?!” shouted Lunny surprised.
“Figeron support Rampardos using match punch against those two!” ordered Stuart.
The sound of the battle reached them and Draco was amazed to hear that Stuart’s Froleg had evolved into a Figeron. That meant he was behind him since Drake hadn’t evolved yet. They still needed a lot to do before that could happen, and lots of attacks to learn too. Katy ran faster for a moment and reached the third floor.
“Eek! Draco, watch out!” yelled Katy as she moved from a side of the stair disappearing in the ceiling of the staircase and floor of the next area.
Draco dodged sticking his back to the wall just like his pokémon just in the moment a powerful dark pulse passed in front of them. Once finished, the wolgon and pokémon ran to the next floor and saw Katy in the floor trying to stand up and Franky in front of her with his Umbreon and now a Dusknoir next to him.
“Well, if it’s the brat that’s been meddling with us!” yelled Franky “Umbreom, Dusknoir, shadow ball!”
Draco dodged the shadow balls just like his pokemons and looked at Franky. Immediately he ordered Lucian to step forth and the Lucario did without thinking twice.
“Wait Draco!” rushed Katy “Let me this one to me. I bet you’d do better in the upper floors. Once I’m done I’ll reach you.”
“Katy these guys are dangerous you saw what he and Lunny did to me back in Clashton Village.”
“I’m ready for that Draco, Stuart and I have been working together with our friends to become stronger.” Argued Katy looking at Franky “This runt will go down easily.”
“I’m here you know?” reclaimed Franky “Umbreom use shadow ball, Dusknoir use dark pulse!”
“Garguan use frenzy plant! Swellow use aerial ace!” ordered Katy sending his two pokeballs to the air.
The pokémon popped out and obeyed making an impact that stopped the enemies’ attacks. Katty smiled and noticed that Draco was surprised to see how her Reptyst had evolved too.
“Go on! I’ll take care of him!” shouted Katy.
Draco nodded and rushed upstairs followed by his loyal pokémon and boyfriend Lucian and his other partners running behind them. Now there were two battles in the lower floors and Draco was surprised to see how they had evolved their starters or partners to the ultimate level. And he was still having Drake without evolving. He needed to train more with him. But that would have to wait; now the security in the tower and of Roland was priority. And with that thought he reached the fourth floor where he found an old skunk panting and facing Roky. The vice leader seemed to be in a tight battle.
“Hey! I’m here to help!” shouted Draco running to the one he supposed would be Roland “You’re Roland, right?”
“Yes, but I don’t need help.” said Roland. His clothes were notably those of a scientist, formal shirt and pants and a lab coat over it. Though he was obviously tired, his pokémon seemed to be in top form. A Mightyena and a Magnezone that were putting a hard time to Roky’s Houndoom and Villeplume “Upstairs, in the top floor, that rascal of Joewy is facing a legendary pokémon, you must hurry because he was winning.”
“What?!” shouted Draco “I thought they needed you!”
“That Darkrai came rushing to my help and I managed to come here” said Roland surprising Draco.
“A Darkrai?!” shouted the wolgon and needed no other advise to rush upstairs.
Roland returned to the battle that his pokémon partners were standing alone during the briefing he did to Draco. Apparently those were pretty powerful and Roky was indeed against the wall with that fight. That made Draco feel confident about Roland’s victory and considering there was only one more snatcher machine, then it was good to know that Team Chaos was losing assets.
The hurried rush drove Draco upstairs to an open space with a huge shire-like construction that resembled Ho-oh and another bird pokémon that Draco could only consider it was Venta. It was indeed a beautiful sight if it weren’t for the fact that, next to the huge bell both legendary pokémon statues were holding, was a highly damaged Darkrai trying to stand up. His body full of wounds and covered a bit with blood wetting his body. Draco gaped at it and saw that Joewy was there too, standing in front of Darkrai with Genesect panting, it seemed like the pokémon was doing the things by his own will, but Draco noticed the fade red glow in his eyes. They had done something to him.
“That’s enough!” shouted Draco running to Joewy.
“Oh! Aren’t you the little brat that tried to retrieve Genesect?!” mocked Joewy “Cuz as you can see he’s willing to follow my commands.”
“I noticed his eyes…” snarled Draco standing in a rush between Joewy and Darkrai “He’s being controlled.”
“Nice eyes then…” smiled Joewy “However, this Darkrai is standing in my way to retrieve the Sky Crown.”
“Like if I’d ever allow a villain like you to take it!” roared Draco “Lucian, Drake, Leonidas!”
The pokémon stood in front of the wolgon and got ready for a fight that Genesect won’t be able to win. Joewy smiled and inserted a disc on the back of Genesect.
“Genesect use techno blast” ordered Joewy and the pokémon obeyed charging the attack.
“Lucian use aura sphere, Drake use flamethrower, Leonidas use brick break!” ordered Draco.
But the order came late and only Drake managed to dodge the impact that paralyzed Lucian and Leonidas making them grunt as they tried to move but were unable to do it. The dragon returned to his position and roared sending his flamethrower against Genesect that received it directly.
“Damn!” shouted Joewy when Genesect went down “I’ll not let you stand in my way little brat! Krowcrown, Umbreon, Dusknoir!”
The three pokémon popped out of their pokeballs and faced the dragon pokemon. Draco snarled but remembered he had Galapagus in his pokeball. So he threw it and called him forth.
“Galapagus come!” shouted Draco as the pokémon appeared next to Drake “Ok guys! Drake use scratch on Umbreon, Galapagus use blizzard after Drake retreats!”
Drake rushed and the sharp claws turned into a black gauntlet of shadows as he rushed making an impact on Umbreon sending him to the ground but not defeating him. Drake returned and Galapagus used blizzard as ordered freezing Umbreon and defeating Krowcrown, but Dusknoir managed to dodge the attack.
“Way to go Drake and Galapagus!” cheered Draco “And it’s good to see you learned a new attack Drake!”
The Firegon cheered with a cry happy too and looking at Dusknoir, with shadow claw, now he would be able to attack and defeat him.
“L-Leave…” mumbled finally Darkrai making Draco turn around “D-D-Draco… you… must leave…”
“It’s ok, I’ll protect you now like you did with me in the past” smiled Draco and returned his attention to Joewy “Time to pay Joewy! Drake use shadow claw, Galapagus use aqua brust!”
“I don’t think so…” grinned Joewy “Dusknoir dodge and use trick room!”
Dusknoir dodged and used trick room making the fast Drake to slow down and increasing Galapagus’ speed. Draco smiled.
“I thought you’d learned your lesson using that already” giggled Draco.
“And you forget the use of items!” laughed Joewy “Dusknoir use thunderpunch on Carracosta!”
The impact was swift and Draco didn’t saw it coming. Dusknoir was faster now and that was a bad sign. He could defeat them now easily. Galapagus received the impact and fell on his knees panting and looking at Dusknoir unable to attack. Fortunately, the shadow claw impacted the ghost pokémon but it seemed to cause little damage on him.
“C’mon guys! I know you can do this!” shouted Draco “Galapagus use aqua burst again, Drake continue using shadow claw!”
Te battle continued and Draco took a chance to run and give Lucian and Leonidas a lava cookie he had bought before leaving Carcaza City. That would help them with the paralysis but the small distraction caused a deft thump when Galapagus fell to the ground fainted.
“Damn! NO GALAPAGUS!” shouted Draco realizing his mistake and rushing back next to Drake returning Galapagus to his pokeball “You did a good job my friend, I’m sorry… Drake use flamethrower!”
Drake obeyed and spitted a stream of fire that impacted Dusknoir sending him back.
“Draco we’re ready to fight!” said Lucian rushing to the wolgon.
“Let me handle this too!” begged Leonidas.
“Ok guys, we’ll take him out!” said Draco nodding “Leonidas use night slash, Lucian use dark pulse, Drake use shadow claw!”
“Dusknoir use shadow punch on Gallade, sucker punch on Firegon and then use thunder punch against that Lucario… don’t damage him too much, I want him.
The three pokémon got ready to attack but trick room made Dusknoir move faster. The first impacted was Drake who fell to the ground since Dusknoir slammed him from above, then Leonidas fell gripping his last bit of energy. Finally, Dusknoir attacked Lucian and he became paralyzed again unable to move once more. And Dusknoir surprisingly appeared in front of Draco making him trip back and fall seated one inch away of Darkrai.
“Dusknoir use Dark pulse” ordered Joewy and the pokémon charged the attack impacting Draco and Darkrai at the same time.
Both rolled on their side grunting and Draco stopped a few meters away from the edge. He lifted his head and saw Darkrai roll farther and approach dangerously at the edge of the tower.
“DARKRAI!” shouted Draco crawling on the floor.
Darkrai rolled away and passed the edge of the tower heading to the open fall. But Draco managed to reach him on time and grab his hand slipping a bit.
“ACK!” roared Draco with the sudden tension on his muscles “DARKRAI!” shouted Draco but Darkrai was now fainted.
“Good… stay like that and I’ll take my prize” said Joewy passing Draco’s pokémon and opening a secret compartment below the giant bell taking from it a golden crown with black jewels, maybe onyx.
Draco gave a small glimpse at it and returned his sight at the pit he was when the weight of Darkrai pulled him more. The wolgon opened his wings and tried to move them to pull them up, uselessly. The sound of a zeppelin came and rushed steps came from the stairs. Roky, Franky and Lunny entered the top area. All three defeated and angry for that.
“Well brat, I guess this is good bye… at least for you” mocked Joewy “Don’t expect me to come to pray to your tomb hahahaha!”
The air vehicle passed from the tower and Draco heard another set of pawsteps rushing upstairs. Roland, Katy and Stuart entered the top area now and the lynx screamed when she saw Draco barely standing on the edge of the tower and about to fall.
“DRACO!” shouted Katy running to him but it was too late.
“DRACO!” screamed Lucian when he saw the wolgon only holding to the floor with his paws. He tried but was unable to move.
Draco disappeared on the edge of the tower with a desperate scream as he tried to fly but his wings were small and unable to carry him. Katy, Stuart and Roland ran to there, but a swift shadow passed pushing them to the floor and jumped from the edge to the emptiness. Katy rushed to the edge and saw Drake diving down almost reaching Draco and a Darkrai which Draco was gripping. It was valiant from the dragon pokémon to rush that way, but he wouldn’t be able to carry both… one would die.
Draco looked up and saw his friend rushing down to him. Drake passed them and grabbed Draco with one paw and Darkrai with the other and started to move the wings trying to fly but unable to do it. He was too small like to carry both of them and that made Draco cry.
“Go… you’ll hurt yourself!” shouted Draco but Drake shook his head.
“I… want… to… save… you!” shouted Drake surprising Draco. He had spoke in common language, but then he cried pulling up unable to help more but to slow the fall slightly.
To Draco that could have been a mind trick in the peril hour, but Drake seemed focused in save him more than to speak again, if he had ever spoke before. The wolgon looked at Darkrai and sighed. That was for sure their end, and the rushing ground that was going at them was the sentence. But then a blinding light came and he felt warmth in his body, right where Drake had him gripped. Draco looked up and saw the body of the medium sized pokémon shinning and growing.
“H-he’s evolving!” shouted Draco and Drake roared.
Drake’s wings grew enormously and his paws almost covered Draco chest and waist. The back of the dragon started to move freely and when all the light show faded, Draco saw the flaming mane of Draflaren moving with the wind as he flew up high carrying him and Darkrai back to the top of the tower. After reaching it, Drake left Draco and Darkrai carefully in the floor and stood behind them. Katy was crying when Draco raised his head. The lynx hugged him almost taking his breath away.
“W-why? Why would you risk your life like that?” asked Katy and the answer came from Stuart who had helped Lucian and Leonidas to recover. Lucian rushed to Draco and hugged him crying too while Leonidas seemed to be more relieved now.
“Because he couldn’t allow a pokémon to die.” said Stuart looking at Draco “Isn’t it? You just can’t allow yourself to stand looking and do nothing… Now I know it and I think if I were in your place up here instead of you, I’d have done the same.”
Draco opened his eyes and smiled. Of course, it had to be him. But it was not to the wolgon to tell Stuart that. He looked at Roland now and noticed he had the snatching machine in his hands.
“We needed you to repair it so we can retrieve that Genesect.” Said Draco “They stole it from Dustin, Carcaza City’s Gym leader.”
“I’ll do the best I can” said Roland looking at them and noticing the wounds on Darkrai “That Darkrai will die if he’s not attended soon. Shinoben Village is not far from here. You can go and take him to the pokémon center flying. But the wounds would only get worse with time. You better catch him.”
“I can’t do that!” shouted Draco “I’m no one to catch a legend!”
“Is that or his life…” said Katy getting close to Draco and giving him an ultraball “Due to his state, I bet this will be enough.”
Draco looked at the ultraball and took it with a sigh. He looked at Darkrai and asked for his forgiveness for what he was about to do. And with a slight touch, Darkrai went into the ultraball without fighting back. Then the wolgon looked at his friends and his partners.
“Drake, you think you can take us to Shinoben?” asked Draco and the big dragon nodded. “Lucian and Leonidas too?”
Drake crouched and showed the space on his back to be enough. Draco jumped just like Lucian and Leonidas and the dragon flew up.
“We’ll see you there as soon as we reach the village!” shouted Stuart “Wait for us before you face that Gym!”
“I will!” yelled Draco and Drake flew away in direction to Shinoben village.

The day had been slow by the time and no one had come. Certainly no one was challenging the Gym. Most of the patients came poisoned from it. But for nurse Joy that was a good notice. Suddenly, the door of the pokémon center opened and a dirty wolgon with the clothes stained in dust and dirt came rushing to the counter. Behind him, a Lucario and a Gallade, just like a Draflaren came in too.
“W-what’s the matter?” asked nurse Joy “What happened to you?”
“Please…” begged Draco placing the ultraball in the counter “Please… he needs help… he’s in danger, about to die.”
Those words shocked nurse Joy and she took the ultraball rushing to the operations room with a Chansey, a Blissey and an Audino. Draco rushed and entered in the operations room but was kicked out as soon as nurse Joy saw the pokémon she had to attend. Her first reaction was to scream but once she put herself together, and kicked Draco out, she started to help the poor pokémon.
The hours passed like if they were centuries. Draco was way worried about Darkrai. He had helped him and saved his life twice. And now that he tried to do the same…
“Draco!” shouted Katy entering the Pokémon center after several hours that Draco had waiting there.
“Katy!” moaned Draco and rushed to his friend hugging her “I don’t want him to die…”
“He won’t” said nurse Joy getting close to the pair “You’re lucky boy. I don’t know how you caught a Darkrai, but he’s stable now. Wounded and all, but stable. It will take him a bit but I guess by tomorrow he will be fine. He’s conscious now by the way.
“I want to see him” said Draco gripping the ultraball tightly.
Nurse Joy nodded and guided Draco and Katy into the room Darkrai was now. The pokémon was connected to several machines and looking to the roof with his shining blue eye. Draco got close and looked at him.
“I’m sorry…” cried Draco “I’m sorry…”
“You… did what you could…” said Darkrai panting as he talked.
“I couldn’t help you…” sobbed Draco.
“You saved my life…” said Darkrai trying to rub Draco’s cheek tuff but unable to move a lot without feeling pain.
“I had to catch you in an ultraball to do it” said Draco and Darkrai’s face instead of fury showed comprehension.
“I wanted that, you know?” said Darkrai “I wanted to be part of your party… to be friends with you…”
“We were friends already, weren’t we?” asked Draco confused.
“There are several kinds of friendships… and what I wanted was deeper” said Darkrai without inhibitions.
“I’ll release you” said Draco and Darkrai’s face turned shadowy.
“I rather stay like this” said Darkrai.
“No… I can’t affort to lose you and if that means to let you go…” Draco raised the ultraball and a blue beam was shot at Darkrai who dropped a tear.
But then, the black and yellow ball shone bright and Darkrai turned around looking at the spectacle. The top face of the ultraball turned completely black and the lower white part became black as well.
