He would have lived a pleasant and peaceful life doing what he loved, but he would have never been able to heal his faulty eyes and digestive system. However, the lower stress level of his hermit lifestyle, as well as a healthy diet and a daily dose of lubricant eyedrops, would have allowed him to withstand the physical pain.\n\nBut what if he had decided to study computer engineering, but hadn't been able to move to Esperanza, because his former boss sabotaged his application, so that Javi had to work for him forever? The rage and frustration would have worsened his eye problems, and lacking the resources he would have had in Esperanza, he would have lost his eyes in excruciating pain.
