"description": "I decided to tweak my favorite alien species a bit, so that people can create their own Ishigans if they wish.\n\n---\n\nSociety: Ishigans are a race of tribal hunters which evolved to survive on the icy surface of planet Ishiga. Their society is very simple and very few of their settlements presents any kind of hostility towards another, favoring instead cooperation and trades. Their clothing does not offer any protection during their hunts or against the planet's climate, instead made and worn just for aesthetic purposes. A cyan-colored luminiscent mineral found all over Ishiga is often used to produce accessories, weapons and lanterns. Their language is very simple and does not need different pronouns, since everyone is the same gender. They live in small settlements, where family units are rather disperse. Young Ishigans usually stay closer to their mothers, but everyone takes care of everyone else, so there is little difference between biological sisters and friends.\n\nAppearance: Ishigans are one of the extraterrestrial species whose anatomy is most uncannily similar to earthlings. Their bodies are covered in short white fur, except for their hand palms, foot soles, undertail, crotches, noses, throats and tongues, which are dark blue and leathery. Their four-fingered hands and four-toed feet are more symmetrical than human ones, their big toe being slightly turned inwards so that it may be used as a functional thumb. A number of randomly long, slightly prehensile tentacle-like growths hang from their heads. They are meant to protect their heads and ears, although they can be styled and regenerate over time when cut off.\n\nSenses: Ishigan's sight is adapted to the monochrome snowy expanses of planet Ishiga, where detecting differently colored prey or predators in the distance is vital. They therefore use their four eyes for triangulation, which remains near perfect in case they lose one of them, and can differentiate a slightly shorter color range than humans, focusing mostly around the blue wavelengths. Their night vision is worse than humans', due to the white surface of their planet making nights brighter than Earth's.\n\nTheir ears are formed by a pair of strings connected to a pair of lids, which can be opened wide to tense the strings and improve their auditory sensitivity or closed altogether to avoid loud noises. Despite their large noses, their sense of smell is very poor, relying mostly on eyesight and hearing to locate their preys. The black areas of their bodies are very sensitive and used in most greeting gestures and sexual rituals, by rubbing them against each other in different ways.\n\nReproduction: All Ishigans are functionally female, being able to be impregnated by any other Ishigan. The process involves the transmission of genetic material contained in their saliva, which is processed inside their genital cavity. A capsule-shaped egg is laid approximately fifty days after the conception, to be protected by their mothers until it hatches, usually around one year later. Ishigan eggs are transparent and squishy, hard enough to protect the embryo but flexible enough to allow it to grow. When aroused, their genitals flare out and present turgid, very sensitive growths that may interlock with those of another Ishigan, although impregnation can only occur through tongue insertion.\n\nUnique color markings have been observed to spontaneously appear on their fur whenever they manage to produce sexual pleasure to other creature, Ishigan or otherwise, and viceversa. Earthlings and other species have acquired these markings on their fur or skin after satisfactorily engaging in sexual activities with an Ishigan. Experiments regarding the shape and size of these markings are inconclusive, but seem linked to emotional responses: there exists a psychological component in these markings, since they appear not to fade until the host forgets about the activity that produced them. Ishigans actually try to get as many markings as possible, as they display them proudly; however, only one marking per sexual partner is developed, although each marking can change as its corresponding relationship evolves. \n",
