Remember my two Feralien girls, War Shade and Crimson Wraith?
Well, I decided to revisit my species today. As such, this is an updated, canonical version of the Feralien species.
As you can see, they have had a few changes.
To list things off, I'll start from the top.
Feraliens are hybrid creatures, engineered using humans and other creatures, with humans being the base for these alien monstrosities. Their bodies are covered in fur, a mane of hair flowing from the top of their heads to between the shoulder blades. These manes can be stylized, as seen here.
The creatures seem to be predominantly reptilian in appearance, with shark-like heads and long, pointed ears. These ears can pick up sounds from as far as 3 miles away, and they can smell blood from a mile away. Their four eyes enable them to keep watch over their surroundings, and makes it incredibly hard for them to be ambushed, solidifying them as apex predators.
Speaking of their heads, their mouths are lined with razor-sharp teeth that are capable of not only rending flesh, but when the creature jerks its head from side-to-side, it rips deeper in. They have powerful jaw power as well, and oftentimes do not need to use the saws along their teeth; their bites alone can amputate a hand. The long tongue serves to sample the air around it, much like the snake's Jacobson's organ.
Feraliens are capable of walking on hind-legs and on all fours with equal ease; no matter the quarry, Feraliens can keep pursuit as long as they need. Their powerful builds allow them to run fast and take heavy beatings. This is also aided in the fact that the average Feralien runs the size of a Clydesdale horse, one of the largest breeds of horses on the planet Earth.
They have multiple breasts, as oftentimes a Feralien can have as many as eight offspring. Feralien offspring, while we are on this topic, are brought about in an odd way; despite their appearance, Feraliens do not give live birth. They do not even need to mate! Feraliens lay eggs, and their eggs are self-fertilized. Despite popular belief, the offspring oftentimes share no physical traits with their mother other than color; each Feralien offspring is its own unique self.
Feralien eggs are laid via the pseudo-penis, which are the two tentacle appendages you see there coming from the alien creature's groin. The organs serve two purposes; as mentioned, laying eggs... and to be used for sexual pleasure when aroused. The phallus-like appendage does not produce urine, as Feraliens have a cloaca that dispenses bodily debris.
Back on the topic of Feralien eggs, the creatures have two choices; they can lay them in a warm nest and watch over them, or implant them inside a host. The host is always female, and her womb is forced to hold the creature's brood until the time comes for them to hatch, in which the host lays the eggs before they hatch.
A Feralien may also use her eggs to transform humans into Feraliens. The process is lengthy, and will be explained at a later date.
