"So yer sayin' that there's a big ol' monstah that's gonna drown us if we swim out too far?" Apple Bloom chuckled, paddling alongside the other girls.
"Yeah, I don't think we should be going out too far... We should probably turn back, there's bound to be something valuable around the shores." Sweetie Belle fretted, swimming slowly as Scootaloo dolphin kicked beside them.
"Don't be so silly, Sweetie Belle. There ain't no such thing as a silly ol' tentacle monstah, that's just an ol' mare's tale!" The farm pony laughed, swimming further out. Sweetie was up and about to swim back, but seeing as her friends ignored her warnings, she kept up with them, hoping to keep them safe if something were to happen.
Then, the unicorn felt the current underneath her start to swirl about, and she swore she saw something wriggle about around them. "Uh, girls? I don't want to worry you but I can feel something..."
Scootaloo rose her head from the surface, "That's probably just some fish swimming around, nothing to worry about!"
"Yeah, an' besides ah'm sure if there were any silly ol' tentacles ah would--"
Soon, a mass of wriggling pink tentacles burst from the waters as the fillies screamed in a panic. "--ah would get the heck outta here!" Apple Bloom exclaimed, trying to turn tail but was caught by some of the tentacles lashing around her hands.
Sweetie gasped silently and tried to swim away but a tentacle tightly coiled around her neck and wrists, pulling her under the surface as she struggled to stay afloat, catching raggedy breaths each time her head broke the surface. Scootaloo felt tentacles start to grip around her, but kept her reflexes sharp enough to grip some of them and wrestle them off her person, but was soon overwhelmed by the mass of tentacles attacking her and one by one, the girls were dragged under the waves as their bubbly cries echoed until they were pulled into the depths of the lake.
Apple Bloom watched in horror as tentacles began bounding her up by her legs, arms and neck, tightly pulling at her as she was being strangled for the air she had in her lungs. She rocked back and forth trying to escape, but the wriggly appendages kept gripping tighter and tighter, squeezing the naked filly for all she was worth, "NGHAAAAGBHKL!"
Scootaloo almost broke free of her binds almost as soon as they stopped their descent, trying to bolt back to the surface but was trapped by another tentacle lashing at her thigh and tightly gripping at it, making her try to kick the vicious tentacle away as she struggled to hold her breath. She took a look at Apple Bloom's predicament and panicked equally so, fearing she was to be drowned or even violated without a chance to get a breath, her cheeks puffing up to keep the air she had left.
Sweetie felt the same tentacles that bound her try and throttle the filly, already losing air from the tussle on the surface, her nude body convulsing wildly as she flailed her legs, gripping her mouth shut to try and keep her air inside. This proved to be futile as her lungs seared painfully inside her, her pupils shrinking as the surface glistened far above her, her escaped air zigzagging up and out of sight, "MMMNNPHH! MMGHHBLBL!!"
Soon, the girls slowly started to lose consciousness, their vision blurring as their air was lost through pained, gurgled chokes. The fillies all started drowning one by one, fading away until their bodies soon remained motionless, twitching slightly as their air leaked from their drowned, weary bodies. The tentacles used this moment to slink away, almost proud of their work as the fillies floated in the water, lifeless, naked and drained of air.
What was once a silly old myth to these girls was now proved to be very real, and had experienced first hand just what the tentacle monster was capable of.
Too bad they couldn't prove it to anypony.
