Yooka and Laylee stood on the ledge of the frigid lakes of Glitterglaze Glacier, overlooking a small entrance to a flooded cavern with something golden shimmering off the icy walls. After taking deep breaths, the duo jumped into the waters and dove deep into the tunnels ahead of them. The sounds of the colds winds above them seemed to fade as they swam into the cave, Yooka looking around and admiring the stalactites forming on the cave's roof before Laylee shoved him and signaled him to swim ahead.
While Yooka was a better swimmer than Laylee than all accounts (wings aren't exactly easy to swim with, mind you), their breath holding times were comparably the same, so had no problem taking long swims together even if Yooka had Laylee piggybacking him most of the time. That had the added benefit and detriment of Laylee pressing her warm, naked body against him, but it gave him a boner harder than Rusty Bucket Bay's bullshit ship propellers, making it hard to swim sometimes.
As the two explored the cave, they found it to be a mess of long, winding tunnels and maze like caverns that any sane person would get lost in within seconds. But with Yooka's resolve and Laylee's determined kicks, the two continued to swim within the caverns at speed, Yooka checking on his partner on occasion to make sure she was keeping up with him. But as they swam, they realised that they had no idea where they were as every tunnel and intersection looked exactly the same and soon, their air started to run out.
Laylee was the first to start struggling, kicking her legs as she tried to keep her air in, "Hrrk, mmglp!!"
Yooka swam to her and offered her to hold onto his shoulders as he swam the rest of the way, but eventually that was met by him reaching his limit and clutching his throat as he coughed a glut of air out, "Ghlaagbl!! Mmpphhblbl!" He covered his mouth quickly afterwards as he continued to swim.
Eventually, Laylee let go of Yooka and was drained of air, floating aimlessly as she tried to swim, her breasts bobbing in the freezing cold water, her nipples standing on end as she breathed her last, "Hrrrglblaaa..."
Yooka coughed a cloud of air from his tired lungs and tried to futilely grab it back, his hands clawing at the bubbles as it slipped right past them. His penis stood rock hard as his legs kicked helplessly, his body slowing down as he sunk to the cave floor, resting on the cold ice with Laylee by his side, "Aahhnnghkbl..."
Thinking back, maybe they should've invested in that 'Salmon' tonic after all.
