Even that proved to be difficult with spears and flame traps still active as they neared their inconspicuous hiding spots, scaring them both as they swam onwards into the depths, mindful of what air they had left despite not having any provisions and only using instinct to help them. Cream puffed her cheeks and stayed close to her mother, taking her hand as they hid from a roving Orbinaut, swimming past it once it finished scoping the area.
As they kept swimming, finding no signs of any pockets nor bubbles, Cream was nearing her breaking point as she gripped her throat, "Hrrmbgblblbl..."
She kicked along, speeding ahead of her mom as her chest convulsed, her developing breasts bouncing with each gurgle. Vanilla caught up with her and tried to calm her daughter down, Cream reaching what looked to be a dead end as Cream began panicking that they took a wrong turn so far away from the surface. The young rabbit beat her fists on the wall in a panic, her air frothing from her tired lungs, "Nooooghblbl!"
As Vanilla tried to stop her daughter from wasting more air, the wall in front of them suddenly gave way and were being dragged along by a powerful current as they tossed and turned in the depths. Cream tried to reorganise her buoyancy amidst the chaos but couldn't keep herself steady, "AAAAGHBLGBKL!!"
Vanilla looked at her daughter and wished she could help her, her own naked body being tossed around like a ragdoll until suddenly her hand caught a pole as she found herself keeping steady, the water current trying to push her off. As she looked back at Cream, she found that she too grabbed the pole beside her and was holding on for dear life, "Creagblm!"
"Mogblblmmy!" She cried back, her lungs heaving from the lack of air as she tried to hold her breath to no avail, bubbles pouring from her mouth. Vanilla felt the same, watching her daughter drown helplessly set her own lungs to burst as she bubbled uncontrollably, her mouth flapping open and shut like a fish, "Hrrk! Glup! Nngblbl!!"
"Moogblm! I'm scaregbld!"
"Jusbl holgbld on, darblingbl!"
Cream soon felt her grip weaken as her air left her until she was washed away by the current, leaving Vanilla by herself, "Creaghblm! NOOOOGHBLBL!!"
She then let go of the pole she was using to support herself to take the ride with her daughter, hoping she would catch up to her, but her tired lungs wouldn't provide her an answer as water closed into her mouth as she thrashed in the current, gripping her throat as she drowned beside her daughter, "Hrrkgblgnhkbl!!"
If only they had held on tighter...
