I can't see from here...\" Birth asked, looking over again, Clanker's body obscuring the chain.\n\nShe let out a sigh and shook her head, standing up and diving head first into the water, diving down as she felt the cold, grimy water against her fur. She dove past Clanker's face and placed a hand under his jaw. The chain seemed to drop into a hole just below the mechanical beast, and it looked very deep.\n\n\"It is a very long swim, but I have a friend down there that can help you. If you could help me, little ones. She kicked with speed as she pumped her arms in a breast stroke. The young colt held onto his mom, wrapping his arms around her. The dirty water made it hard to see, but they could see the chain leading deep into the hole as they dove together. Birth swam to the open hole and looked down, placing a hand on the chain. She saw said chain linked to a large stone anchor at the bottom, with a key sticking out the side. Pulling at the chain, she lowered herself and Button down into the hole.\n\nAs they reached the bottom, a big, round fish swum up to them and greeted himself, \"Hello, my name's Gloop! You must be wanting to free my friend here, come to me if you need to breathe!\"\n\nThey nodded as the fish swam near them, Birth swimming to the giant key as her cheeks puffed up, Button letting out a gurgle of air, \"Mmmnggblbl...\"\n\nGloop pointed out the key with his fin, \"See that key, you'll need to turn it so that Clanker can swim to the surface. You'll need to turn it all the way so it'll lock itself, but don't let go of the key or else it'll turn back by itself!\"\n\nBirth nodded as Button let go of his mom, putting a hand to his mouth and covering it, a fire burning in his chest, \"Ghhllblblhhk!\"\n\nLooking at her son with worry, she grabbed the key and started turning it, slowly but surely it moved and the chain seemed to rise from the anchor. Button watched as her mom turned the giant key, but felt a prang in his chest and let out a glut of air, \"Hrrrkaaaahglhaa!!\"\n\nBirth let go of the key at this and held her son close as he clutched his throat, coughing out more air, the chain sinking back into the anchor again. Gloop swam to them and said, \"Your son needs to breathe, but you can't stop turning the key yet! Let me help!\"\n\nHe placed his lips against Button's as he breathed deep, the colt feeling a rush of air flowing into his mouth. While it tasted rather fishy, it did revitalize the young pony and soon he felt calm as he broke the liplock. Birth was amazed at what the fish had done, but soon returned to the key, turning it once more.\n\nAt this, Button took a few more breaths and soon swam opposite his mom, helping her turn the key. Birth was grateful for the help, but her puffed cheeks soon couldn't last as she had to breathe, a plume of bubbles ripping from her mouth, \"AAAHHHGBHKBLBL!!\"\n\nWith one hand, she cupped her mouth and Button shifted his eyes to Gloop, swimming nearby. She made sure Button was holding the key and swam to the fish, taking a deep breath and coughing out the swallowed water as best she could. The two worked together to make sure that Clanker's chain would rise, the ponies turning it together, taking turns to get a breath when needed. Soon, the key locked in place and Clanker had finally breached the surface.\n\nGloop looked up, \"Looks like Clanker made it to the surface, why don't you check on him?\"\n\nThe two ponies nodded and swam side by side back up to the surface, Birth resting a hand on Button's back as they kicked swiftly back to the murky surface once more. Soon, after spending what felt like an age underwater, they finally breached the surface with a loud gasp and were met with Clanker's terrifying set of bared, razor sharp teeth.\n\n\"Thank you for helping me, my friends. I want you two to have this as a token of my appreciation.\" Clanker said with a creak of his rusty metal. The giant metal beast prepared them a golden jigsaw piece from his blowhole as it fell into the hands of the two ponies. As they grabbed it, the two were embedded in a flash of light, blinded temporarily by the bright light show.\n\nWhen the light cleared, they found themselves back in Button's room, alive and well, but also damp and rather smelly. Button looked around his room, \"We're home? We're home!\"\n\nBirth hugged her son with joy, \"We are home, and...\"\n\nShe sniffed the air, realizing something she should've noticed before, \"...and we stink!\"\n\nButton recoiled at the stench, \"Yeah, we bathed in garbage disposal water. Not fun.\"\n\nBirth stood up and walked out of the room, \"Well, I'm going to run a shower, care to join me?\"\n\n\"Sure, mom!\" The colt replied, but not before pausing at his TV screen and noticing a little ripple in the glass. He put his hand to it and it went through! He started breathing in and out as Birth started taking some breaths, "One... two... three!"

With the two taking a deep breath, Birth Heart dove into the depths, Button holding onto her. She kicked with speed as she pumped her arms in a breast stroke. The young colt held onto his mom, wrapping his arms around her. The dirty water made it hard to see, but they could see the chain leading deep into the hole as they dove together. Birth swam to the open hole and looked down, placing a hand on the chain. She saw said chain linked to a large stone anchor at the bottom, with a key sticking out the side. Pulling at the chain, she lowered herself and Button down into the hole.

As they reached the bottom, a big, round fish swum up to them and greeted himself, "Hello, my name's Gloop! You must be wanting to free my friend here, come to me if you need to breathe!"

They nodded as the fish swam near them, Birth swimming to the giant key as her cheeks puffed up, Button letting out a gurgle of air, "Mmmnggblbl..."

Gloop pointed out the key with his fin, "See that key, you'll need to turn it so that Clanker can swim to the surface. You'll need to turn it all the way so it'll lock itself, but don't let go of the key or else it'll turn back by itself!"

Birth nodded as Button let go of his mom, putting a hand to his mouth and covering it, a fire burning in his chest, "Ghhllblblhhk!"

Looking at her son with worry, she grabbed the key and started turning it, slowly but surely it moved and the chain seemed to rise from the anchor. Button watched as her mom turned the giant key, but felt a prang in his chest and let out a glut of air, "Hrrrkaaaahglhaa!!"

Birth let go of the key at this and held her son close as he clutched his throat, coughing out more air, the chain sinking back into the anchor again. Gloop swam to them and said, "Your son needs to breathe, but you can't stop turning the key yet! Let me help!"

He placed his lips against Button's as he breathed deep, the colt feeling a rush of air flowing into his mouth. While it tasted rather fishy, it did revitalize the young pony and soon he felt calm as he broke the liplock. Birth was amazed at what the fish had done, but soon returned to the key, turning it once more.

At this, Button took a few more breaths and soon swam opposite his mom, helping her turn the key. Birth was grateful for the help, but her puffed cheeks soon couldn't last as she had to breathe, a plume of bubbles ripping from her mouth, "AAAHHHGBHKBLBL!!"

With one hand, she cupped her mouth and Button shifted his eyes to Gloop, swimming nearby. She made sure Button was holding the key and swam to the fish, taking a deep breath and coughing out the swallowed water as best she could. The two worked together to make sure that Clanker's chain would rise, the ponies turning it together, taking turns to get a breath when needed. Soon, the key locked in place and Clanker had finally breached the surface.

Gloop looked up, "Looks like Clanker made it to the surface, why don't you check on him?"

The two ponies nodded and swam side by side back up to the surface, Birth resting a hand on Button's back as they kicked swiftly back to the murky surface once more. Soon, after spending what felt like an age underwater, they finally breached the surface with a loud gasp and were met with Clanker's terrifying set of bared, razor sharp teeth.

"Thank you for helping me, my friends. I want you two to have this as a token of my appreciation." Clanker said with a creak of his rusty metal. The giant metal beast prepared them a golden jigsaw piece from his blowhole as it fell into the hands of the two ponies. As they grabbed it, the two were embedded in a flash of light, blinded temporarily by the bright light show.

When the light cleared, they found themselves back in Button's room, alive and well, but also damp and rather smelly. Button looked around his room, "We're home? We're home!"

Birth hugged her son with joy, "We are home, and..."

She sniffed the air, realizing something she should've noticed before, "...and we stink!"

Button recoiled at the stench, "Yeah, we bathed in garbage disposal water. Not fun."

Birth stood up and walked out of the room, "Well, I'm going to run a shower, care to join me?"

"Sure, mom!" The colt replied, but not before pausing at his TV screen and noticing a little ripple in the glass. He put his hand to it and it went through! Retracting his hand, he grinned and replied, "Cool, this is like Persona 4!"
