While on holiday to the sunny islands of Gallopagos, Shining Armor, his wife Cadence and daughter Flurry Heart took themselves to a nude beach on the southern shores. After Shining helped her wife gather the confidence to head to the beach, setting up a spot on the white sands of the shore, they spent time swimming in the crystal clear, warm seas together. Flurry wanted to show her family her blossoming swimming skills and capable breath holding times, which her parents were very impressed by despite her young age. She still struggled with treading water, but her parents still congratulated her for her skills.
After a brief stop for some lunch, Shining told the family about the caverns near the beach, recollecting the time he visited on guard duty and told his family how much he would love to show the majesty of the caverns. They took off to a cave off the coast and went inside, already wowed by the glistening, almost bright waters of the cave reflecting the little light that flooded inside. As they trekked on, Shining told more stories about his travels in the cave, and how underneath them was a long series of underwater tunnels that expert scuba divers would traverse into.
But after listening to the story, they found the cave was darker than before and had traveled much further than they should have. Cadence looking around, "Honey, it's kind of dark in here. We need to turn back."
Shining looked around, noticing the caves were getting progressively dimmer, "Yeah, let me shine a light, can't see a thing."
However, Flurry took this as a chance to show off her magical prowess, "Hold on, I can do it!"
"Don't worry Flurry, I've got it..." Shining replied, lighting his horn up and letting out a sigh.
But with a brief flash, Flurry was still trying to get her magic powers under control and blasted a shot of powerful magic, and the floor below them gave way as they tumbled into the darkness below. As they fell, Shining shone his light ahead as Cadence tried to reach for her daughter, both screaming quite wildly. The colt saw a large body of water come to greet them as he shouted, "There's a pool coming, brace yourself!"
The three in their panic still prepared for their impact, landing with a large splash and sinking into the depths. Shining was the first to regather his surroundings and made a break for the surface, breaching with a loud gasp. Cadence followed suit and breached in front of him. The colt grabbed his wife and asked, "You alright, honey?!"
She shook her wet mane from her eyes and nodded, "I'm fine... Where's Flurry?"
The colt looked around, her daughter hadn't surfaced alongside them and instantly went into a panic, "Flurry?! Where are you?!!"
The surface near them bubbled as they diverged their attention as their daughter flailed to the surface, coughing excessively and struggling to stay afloat, no thanks to her fledgling swimming skills. Cadence took the young alicorn in her arms and kissed her wet mane, "It's alright baby, I've got you..."
Shining used the light from his horn to examine the area, a long shaft of rock and water, too high for them to climb, "Looks like we're trapped down here..."
"We can't be," shouted his daughter, "there has to be a way out!"
The colt let out a sigh and looked at the water they were swimming in, "The water looks quite deep... I'll be right back."
Cadence and Flurry watched as he dove under the surface, baring his erect member to them both. He swam down into the hole they found and noticed that some ways down was a tunnel, "Hmmgbl..."
Knowing this, he kicked off the rocky floor and swam back up to the surface. He surfaced with a gasp and shake of his head, "As I thought, those underwater tunnels I mentioned are right below us. If I'm right, there should be a way out through these tunnels."
Cadence blinked at his words before questioning, "Are you saying, we have to dive underwater to get out?"
"That's our only option, I can't seem to teleport us out." His horn flashed briefly but sparked out, "Must've been that fall..."
"But neither of us can hold our breath for that long, we don't know if there'll be another chance to breathe!" The princess objected.
He shook his head and sighed, "It's our only option."
Flurry grabbed his mom closer and let out a frightened whimper, "B-but what i-if we d-drown?"
"We won't, I'll make sure of that. We'll find a way out of these tunnels, I'm sure of it." He replied confidently to his daughter, patting her shoulder.
"B-but I'm s-scared..." She sobbed, shivering from fright.
Cadence looked down at her, "Honey, if we want to get out, we'll have to dive. Now I want you to take the biggest, deepest breath you can get and hold it for as long as you can."
Shining added, "And if you need to let go of your air, only let out a small amount, you'll last a lot longer."
"I want you to take my hand and stay with me, use all of your skills to help us swim out of here. Can you promise me that, darling?"
Flurry was hesitant at first since she was unsure if they would be safe, but confidently gave a nod as Cadence smiled back, "Don't worry mommy, I'll hold it for as long as I can."
She hugged her daughter back, "Thank you, my darling. Mommy loves you so much..."
The family bundled in for a group hug as Shining kissed her daughter's forehead, "Daddy loves you too, darling."
The three began taking long, deep breaths as Flurry held to her mother's side to stay afloat. Soon, Shining flashed a water visibility spell and asked, "Ready? One... Two..."
"Three!" They took the deepest breaths they could and submerged under the water as Shining lead on, his horn shining a bright light in the tunnels as Cadence swam down, holding her daughter close to her, her breasts bobbing in the cold waters, Flurry having pinched her nose closed before they submerged. Soon, the family reached the tunnel floor and began swimming on, the filly taking her mother's hand as Cadence kicked on, Flurry kicking alongside her.
The family would be underwater for some time as Shining noticed the network and junctions of the long, winding underwater tunnels. He kept himself calm, his royal guard training having prepared his body for such an event as he swiftly pumped his arms through the water, kicking his legs as his long stallion member swung freely between his legs. Cadence followed not too far behind, deftly kicking her legs but was nowhere near as fast as her husband, her nipples standing on end from the cold temperature. Flurry was still holding onto her mother, her swimming skills still not developed enough to swim underwater by herself.
The three followed along the tunnels, Shining using his intuition and some blind guesses to try and find a way out as his family followed behind. The three would try and swim through the tunnels, but as each minute slowly crawled by them, another problem soon rose...
