Vanilla panicked as her eyes widened in shock as her daughter's struggles weakened, "No, no, no! Please don't drown on me, sweetheart!" She grabbed her daughter by her arms and looked at her weary expression, noticing her eyes glance to her mother as she gasped, "My baby's alive! Stay with me, sweetie." Her mind thought, giving her a quick kiss and blew some air into her lungs, Vanilla's lungs beginning to seize up from the lack of air. Scooping up her daughter in her arms, she pushed off the rocky walls with her feet and swam down the submerged tunnel. She didn't have much time left.
Kicking quickly, she held her daughter close as the older rabbit swam for the both of them, her cheeks blushing and air dribbling from her mouth. Her eyes were filled with worry and concern for her tired, drowned daughter, looking like she was hanging on to the last of her air with all she had. "Come on, Cream. Don't leave me now, there should be some air here somewhere..."
Vanilla felt her daughter twitch her legs in her grasp, confirming she was fighting on which gave Vanilla resolve to keep on swimming, just like that Disney film taught them, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."
Soon, she noticed something to her left, a crack in the tile ground with large air bubbles frothing forth and her eyes glistened, Cream was going to be safe! She paddled to the bubbles and let go of her daughter, letting her float lazily in front of her as the bubbles crept forth from the cracks in the floor. Vanilla watched as a large bubble rose from the crack, dragging her daughter along and guiding her to the bubble, which she took a breath from and recognised, widening her senses and waking her from her slumber.
Cream looked around and noticed the bubble pop in front of her, watching the crack form another as her cheeks puffed up in anticipation, the bubble rising to her face as she dragged in a deep, needy breath, "Gasssp!"
Her mother watched on as her own lungs began to fail her, cupping her throat as she bubbled out her stale air, "Nhaaaaagblbgl..." She wasn't fussed by the lack of air, she would just get a bubble from the crack and continue their swim, as it seemed the ongoing tunnels still had no air pockets in sight. But everything was fine, they would be able to get fresh, big breaths and continue swimming on, the rabbit giving a weak smile.
"I'm so proud of you for holding on, Cream. You're mommy's little trooper."
