Simon sat in a daze, his head aimed out the classroom window. The bell had already dismissed the high school chemistry class moments ago, yet the chipmunk still sat, head propped by his elbow. "Summer...." he thought with a sigh. This meant his brother would start causing more trouble than he normally does. Theo would start watching his shows late at night and snack, keeping both him and Alvin awake. He'll definitely miss physics and chemistry. He saw only two advantages to all this: no bullies and there annual vacation. Last year, Theadore wanted to go to the Grand Canyon, and this year it was Simons choice. He thought of keeping it simple and basic, like to New York City or camping in the mountains.

Minutes ha past while Simon was trapped in thought. His brother Theodore giggled as he saw his dazed brother sitting alone.

"Simon? Are you ready? We need to meet up with Alvin before he starts playing basketball. Then we'll never leave," he giggled again. The second Theo-giggle snapped Simon awake and he looked at his little brother and smiled.

"Yeah. Heavens knows what will happen if he stays here and misses his date." he hopped off his stool and gathered his things. As they started leaving they saw their brother waving.

"C'mon slowpokes! First one home gets TV tonight!" And with that, he jolted off. Theo giggled and started to run after him. Simon stood still, watching his brothers run and could only smile.

"This is my summer vacation."
