  "description": "Tera turning herself into a pony sized water balloon as usual.\n\n-----\nI made the first half of this animation in 2018, but never finished it. Really I just had some shading to do, but I also thought it'd be fun to make it loop. However 60 frames in with multiple layer groups made the process quite tedious and painful to do in photoshop. The animation tools are very basic, and there are no layers for the timeline, so it's pretty messy navigating the layer panel. I ended up abandoning the project.\n\nThen one day I decided to export all the frames and import the image sequences into Krita to animate. Krita's animation tools aren't that fancy, but they do the basics well enough. Much easier to manage, way less friction, mapping frame navigation to the scroll wheel on my keypad is also a fun way to scrub the timeline. It was nice taking a couple days to animate the second half to this. There's some stylistic choices I would have liked to change to the model in the first half, but I didn't feel like going back and redrawing that many frames. I did sneak in some changes in the second half since I found movement kind of hides the style transition, I just had to make sure to push things back to the original to make it loop. Not perfectly, but good enough. It's been years since I've animated anything, so it was nice to have an old project as a point to step back into. Pixel animation seems pretty forgiving since there's only so many ways you can represent a figure with the limited number of pixels, In this case 117x92.",
