  "description": "After spending some time studying oil paintings I really felt like there's a lot I'm missing in my approach to digital painting. The way brush strokes and values can imply details with variation that naturally comes from the brushes. I feel like my tools could be doing more for me, so I gave some of Kyle Webster's Oil paint brushes a go. I could never get a feel for mixer brushes and other blendy brushes. They felt upredictable and hard to control, but I gave them another go. I think I'm starting to like them, I like how easy it is to blend and I see a lot of room to play with brush work. I also find mixer brushes are best suited to working with a mixing palette which is something I've been trying more recently, mixing my colors on canvas instead of the color wheel. The lack of visual feedback of the brush tip and limited bristle dynamics does create a disconnect compared to a real paint brush. I'm kind of tempted to do some real painting. I don't have oils, but I have some heavy body acrylics that might be fun.\n\nBut yeah, have a plump pony. Anatomy is a little goofy, I mostly wanted to play with the brushes, so I took something from a sketch page I did.",
