Night had fallen and Deyna had come across an old barn next to the path as evening fell. The otter was inside it, lying down on the hay and twirling his dagger, words from his mother swirling around his head. "If anything should ever happen, find the mouse called Xander Dew in Elendor." The otter sighed as memories came to him. He had left home after having a massive argument with his father. His three brothers had joined the Army of Order, the army of the biggest city in the world, Darna. His father had wanted Deyna to follow them but Deyna had always been a free spirit and the thought of fighting for someone else just made him feel trapped. So he had fled his home, knowing he could never be free unless he left. He had taken with him his mothers dagger, a possession he treasured dearly. His mother had died two years ago, and he didn't ever really get along with his brothers or father. Deyna smiled as he thought of what they did when they saw that he had gone. They would probably be more worried about the dagger than him. The otter curled up in the hay and fell asleep, dreaming of the days he had spent as a child. Warm sunlighht filled the barn as the otter awoke. The otter sighed out and stretched his arms and legs. He stood up and sheathed his dagger before walking outside. He could tell that it would be a very hot day and worked out that if he timed it right, he could arrive at Elendor by nightfall. The otter started walking, wondering what the city would be like and if he'd even be able to find this Xander. After about an hour of walking Deyna noticed two shapes standing in the middle of the path up ahead. As he approached he could see that it was two male weasels. "Stop right there otter! No entry past here unless you pay the toll. Fifty Lyan! (Lyan is the currency) *bandits* Deyna thought to himself. "Sorry guys but I don't have any Lyan, I'm just a traveller. "Well then, get lost!" the other weasel said. "No no, wait a sec. Maybe he could pay us another way! Give us that blade and you can pass" said the first weasel, eyeing Deyna's dagger. Deyna pulled out his dagger. "What, you want this? Well sorry, but that's never gonna happen. Now I know your both bandits so here's your choice. Let me pass or die." "Hehehe, well looks like we got ourselves a cocky lil otter" "haha, yeah" the weasels both pulled out sharp short swords. Deyna went into a battle stance, twirling his dagger in his paws. One of the weasels went to attack but the other stopped him. "Hey, what?" he asked angrily. "Don't kill him yet. Just wound him. Cocky otters need to learn their place. We'll have fun with him before we kill him" the other weasel replied grinning evilly. Deyna jumped forward, catching the pair off guard. A lucky block saved them and Deyna attacked furiously, using his speed as a weapon. One of the wealels swiped desperatly at the otters head but Deyna ducked and dealt a speedy stab to the weasels heart, killing him. The remaining weaslel let out a growl of anger and came at Deyna furiosly, causing Deyna to stagger a little as he blocked the strong attack. Deyna quickly fell to the floor and rolled to the side, swiping his dagger upwards, opening the weasels side up. The weasel cried out in pain and dropped his sword then Deyna finished him by stabbing him in the chest. Panting Deyna looked sadly at the two dead bandits. Even though he knew he had no choice, the otter didn't like to kill if he could help it. He looked over and saw the bandits belongins. He walked to them and looked through them. There was money, jewellry, clothes. Deyna took the money for himself, he knew he'd need it. He went to the bodies and dragged them off the path and placed them next to the stolen belongins. He knew he had to leave them there as there was no one around and he knew he needed to get to Elendor quickly, and he didn't need the authorities finding him like this. He quickly hurried onwards. It was early evening when Deyna finally cuaght his first sight of Elendor. He was on a hill overlooking the city and from what he could see, it was a big city! He could see tall buildings and the royal palace at the centre. Smiling happily, he began to run towards the city.
