"Alnia Aldas reporting in, Tork has arrived at the station and is unharmed." Alnia droned into the com, she hated the people she worked with. In particular Hanna, the she-bitch of a officer who made sure Alnia got the worst jobs. Alnia never hated humans but sure didn't like being undermined by one because of some petty feud. Hanna on her first job intended impress everyone and was pretending to get along with every co-worker and on this one particular mission got everyone into a position so she could take the glory. Alnia was too fast and quick to taking down the opposers that she instead got there first. Hanna grilled Alnia for not sticking to her plan and said it should have been her there since she worked so hard. Alnia, while completely unimpressed at Hanna's attitude retorted, "So let me get this straight, you got all of us to be around to get out of your way so you can secure and confirm the target so the bosses look kindly to you? I knew you were a fake and complete without backbone." Hanna struck Alnia across the jaw and spouted insults with various colourful language with got the two into a deep heated argument. Hanna got to keep her job due to being good friends with the boss and made sure that she would make Alnia's life hell unless she left. Alnia's coworkers were at least non-hostile to her but one in particular is a good mate of Alnia since day one. Ragern Onoke, or Rag-On is a Salarian, one of which tries his darn hardest to be tough, assertive and perceived as confident. Unfortunately as the only Salarian in the group he gets pinned with insults and bad mannerism, except from Alnia. Alnia said to him that she didn't see the point or reasoning that the others mocked his stature so and then said, "Besides I can tell you are capable, and someone who I would like around when the going gets tough." She also noted that the others while not bastards to her, she didn't particularly connected with other than working beside them. Since then Rag-On and Alnia would take the same jobs, provide comms assistance when they couldn't and had plenty of beers together in celebration of success. The thought of her family started her to work this hard, Rag-On was the reason she was able to keep working. Alnia sat down, grabbed a drink and drunk it without hesitation. She shouldn't be drinking on the job but the way work has been she didn't care. Rag-On grabbed one as well, sat next to her and drunk from it as well. "I'm glad this shitty day is over." "No kidding, except I got a bad feeling Al." Alnia burped and lent forward to sigh. "Yeah? What makes you think so?" "Because clownface isn't coming up. So more than likely we're going to get an overtime mission." "Fuck sake, I've so had it. She just keeps throwing shit at me and I just want to throw it back." "Hm, good luck with that." A sudden transmission sound turned on in front of them, Hanna appearing on the screen with her blonde hair and with makeup. "You two are still up so you dogs clearly know what I'm going to say." She sternly talked. Her makeup made Rag-On think of a clown after seeing what a clown was one time, that and one time she got completely smashed and broke down in tears her face looked horrifying. The amount of make up that she would put on was revealed and has been stuck in his mind ever since. "You wanted to tell us how to change a bulb?" Alnia joked back, one time Hanna had to ask a coworker how to change a bulb because she didn't know how. Everyone had a good laugh except for Hanna. "Yeah, so you know where to stick it you dried apple head." Hanna yelled back, "You two got a job that needs to be done, Daniel and I will be coming along as well just so we are likely to succeed. I'll brief you idiots in 5 minutes." The transmission turned off with Alnia groaning with Rag-On laughing. "I bet she has been waiting to use that comeback for weeks and no one dared to use it." "It was only a matter of time. Fuck it, so much for going home to see my kids." Alnia and Rag-On spent the next few minutes to check their weapons, equipment and walking down to the briefing room. Daniel was a generic looking human, he had glasses and a short beard. But he also had a really deep scar on his right cheek, something that he got from a mission on an manufactured asteroid that was headed to a colony. He wasn't a particularly smart man but he at least was polite enough to Alnia and Rag-On. As Hanna went over the briefing the other three stood and listened to the objective and plan. One colony that was made recently is having communication issues with some ragged rebellion stemming from discontent at the research team on site. Their job was to fix communications and reach an agreement with the rebellion to cease their anti-social behaviour. The other job was to make sure the head of research Dillon Mendez to be escorted safely out of the colony. "What's their beef? These colonists I mean." Alnia asked. "Don't know don't care." "Putting your bitch face on I see." "Fuck you Ragern, for the record I don't give a shit when they've shot down the security team, cameras and done massive property damage. They broke almost every door so we're going to have to weld through the little buggers just to get to them. I've never seen such lunatic colonists since ever." "Not gonna lie, I'm feeling a little bit pissed off alongside you for once." Alnia couldn't help but agree with her emotions, the security team were newbies and didn't deserve to be killed. For colonists they sure were acting feral and unreasonable. Hanna scoffed in response to Alnia and eventually nodded. "Well I'm glad you finally see it my way. Also there's a head in the rebellion called Pinall Garlani who even decapitated the head of security's head. I had to sit through the footage to make sure it wasn't some fucking joke." "We're not going to slaughter them I hope." Daniel spoke up, "If I had it my way I would love for them all be dissected by the research team or whatever mad scientist experiment." Hanna composed herself dramatically for a moment, "But our job is not to slaughter them. Command says pacifying is acceptable but if we can reach an agreement- like the hell I want that to happen- then we'll all get paid more." Everyone nodded, a strange feeling of unison felled in the room. Something that has not happened before. "Daniel you're flying us over." "Roger that." Daniel marched off. "As for you two make sure your gear is up to scratch. Or not. But frankly you two are the least of my issues in regards to these ferals." "Is there another reason to why you're so upset?" Rag-On queried. Hanna spun around in a fury. "You mean beside the slaughter of security forces, large property damage and acting like a group of ferals!?" "Yes." "My husband was the head of Security! Now if there isn't anything else to waste my time I'm going to load lethal rounds into my rifles! I don't care if you bring blanks, just do your fucking job!" Hanna stormed off, her face a mixture of white and red much like a clown. But neither Alnia and Rag-On were laughing. Alnia and Rag-On waited in the room cleaning and maintaining their weapons. Neither of them spoke as the atmosphere from before was still thick in the air. Alnia didn't like Hanna and Hanna hated her, but Alnia couldn't help but feel reflective on the matter of losing her husband. She took the anger and upset feelings from Hanna and put them into her self as she thought of her own. Yet, she couldn't help but feel as if Hanna was lying. "Rag-On, do you think that she may have been lying?" "I highly doubt it, she was more upset than normal and when he did tell us her face completely broke. I'm no human expert but being red underneath all that caked up face shows outrage and anger." He paused and looked over to Alnia. "Also, when we started our mission to free Tork Kana she was more agitated and crazy than normal. So I get the feeling isn't lying." "Well maybe it's my ignorance speaking out but I can't and won't understand why a whole colony would go feral, slaughtering security and even decapitating someone on film like a bunch of terrorists. I'd imagine them being all Vorcha and really pissed off Batarians but if I recall correctly this one colony has 40% Humans, 20% Turians and 20% Asari." "Hm. I think you are correct." "Then why the hell have everyone suddenly lost all common sense and turn hostile like a bunch of savages?" "Drugs." "Not everything has to be because of drugs." "Of course, yes. What I mean to say is that I have no idea. Sometimes it was planned to begin with, sometimes it's because of one lunatic. We won't know until we get there." Alnia sighed, she just had this bad feeling in her chest. "I just feel like something really bad is going to happen. Look-" "-What?" "No matter what happens, we got each others back and we both get out." "I think you're over analyzing this." "Shut up, I know how I sound but seriously. I got a really bad feeling about this and I want both of us to get out, or at the least one of us." She paused and took a deep breath, "Just so our families can know of our demise." Rag-On normally would laugh at this bleak sort of rambling, but he felt the tension and worry. He just didn't want to admit it. "Ok ok fine just stop freaking out. I don't think I've ever seen you like this. You're usually so impassive, alert and confident not a jittering wimp." "The only thing that will be jittering is you if you keep this up." She smirked, they shared a laugh and continued back to preparing themselves. The travel wasn't all that long, just a few minutes until they were in sight. But Daniel was having trouble parking. It took an extra 10 minutes of trying to get confirmation so the ships could board he finally loaded them down onto the station. It was a horrible mess. Several bodies scattered over, blue and red blood staining the metallic floorboards with trash and metal scrap pilled up. The four walked carefully and quietly in a V formation, Hanna in front with Daniel directly behind, Alnia and Rag-On to the side. Daniel had a omnitech hacking tool as well as a motion sensor equipped, more used as a recon than mercenary or contractual work but he was a good friend of Hanna and scored a job with them. Torches set on their weapons they scoured the room to make sure there were no traps, electric wires and discharges kept rattling in the roof making the lights flicker like some kind of crappy horror movie. But it was a movie they were all in at the moment. They got to the cargo-bay door and Hanna got them to secure the sides while Rag-On started to unweild the door. In 4 minutes he managed to get a hole open large enough for all 4 of them to go through. Piles of security and research bodies laid in front of them, some decapitated and others still together with meaty chunks missing. Hanna cursed loudly and clicked her gun's safety switch off. "I couldn't agree more, Hanna." Alnia remarked as she switched hers on as well. They weren't dealing with unreasonable colonists, they were dealing with anarchic terrorists. Hanna looked over to Alnia and nodded, her visor slightly misted from tears of rage. They searched three rooms thoroughly from above in the air-ducts to the underneath paneling of wires and corridors. Each all had the same thing waiting for them, body chunks, blood and a suspicious green ooze. They recapped everything to each other in the centre of the station, the lobby of where plants, furniture and glass ceiling to see the stars above. There were several Turian corpses scattered in the room, not a single Asari or Human. All of them had their mandibles ripped off and one had it shoved down their throat with their head ripped open to show. The green ooze and the head ripping got them all especially alert. "So what, did some fucked up 'research' go on that caused the people to go nuts and gain abnormal strength?" Daniel remarked. "If the green ooze is from some kind of mutant then I wasn't informed at all prior this hell hole!" Hanna yelled out, she pounded the front desk trying to get a draw open. "Fucking crappy old tech draws, just fucking OPEN!!" She was really losing it. Rag-On looked to Alnia and tilted his head to the side in a gesture to come talk to him slightly over. "I didn't want to agree or believe you before but I think this place- this one place has something really messed up. I'm getting the feeling the head of research is behind this." "Why the hell do you think so?" "Because the lack of any rational reason for people to go nuts. I joked before about drugs being the reason but I think the head of research did something, got people injected with whatever virus or drug and everyone lost their minds." "That wouldn't surprise me!" Hanna yelled out, she could hear the two since their comms were set to public broadcast. "If that's the case we should hurry and get the hell out of here, Hanna. I don't want any of us to die here." Alnia stood in a gun ready pose. Hanna sniffed and grunted in frustration but eventually took a deep breath. "I still loath you from before, but if we ever get the hell out of here I'll never hate you. At least nowhere near as much as I fucking hate this place or the horrible fucker that killed David!" She started crying and thumped the front desk a few more times. She grabbed her gun and started marching around and behind the desk to the side of the Colony they haven't been. As Alnia and the rest quickly followed Alnia couldn't help but really feel sorry for Hanna. After the long corridor they got to another busted shut door, as Rag-On got welding the other three looked through the cracked glass to see the residents walk around with what looked like boils growing on their shoulders and dripping green blood from the deep scratches on their necks. They were moving around well enough, not being hindered by their wounds and not sluggish as if they were dead. They turned and faced the door when the welding got loud and then ran away, carrying makeshift blades and one with a shotgun. "They're not walking dead and looked like they were talking to each other!? Does this mean they're still in control and don't give a shit!?" "Hanna calm yourself! I can't believe I'm saying this but I need you to be our officer and leader." "Go fuck yourself anal queen." "I'm fucking serious Hanna, I won't be ordered around by someone who looks and acts like the lunatic ferals on this colony. Now get a grip!" The two locked eyes in a angry hateful way, both not backing down and the tension rising. Daniel touched Hanna on the shoulder to try to calm her down to only get back elbowed in the face and a shove. As he fell he knocked over Rag-On which only recently finished making the engraving of a hole and about to push it open with the backend of his combat knife. Daniel landed on Rag-On's nice and screamed in shock and pain. Hanna's face from anger turned to bleak panic and quickly went over to make sure the wound didn't get worse. As Daniel screamed Rag-On moved himself away and got up, he kicked the hole open. Hanna kept apologizing to Daniel and held up slightly up from the ground so the knife didn't dig further inward. "We got Omni-gel, Hanna!" "Get it!" Rag-On got the Omni-gel and held it close to the impaled knife, Hanna pulled it out causing Daniel to yell. Rag-On applied it as quickly as he could, the gel like a thick goo coated over the wound and pressed inwards, with a strong antiseptic and anesthetic that covered the wound up. It was still present but no longer danger or worry. "That's why I, rather we need you to control yourself Hanna. We gotta get this done and get out." Alnia sighed in relief of the medical gel being successful but the issue was still at hand. Hanna looked and nodded with a sigh of compliance. Daniel stood up after a minute and grabbed his gun, trying to stay strong with a knife wound on his right of his waist. The four went through the hole in the door and scanned the room. "They went down this way." Alnia pointed down the middle corridor. As they walked down it there was more green ooze than all of what they saw before combined with a door slightly ajar. Hanna pointed to Daniel and signaled him to remain at the spot in front of the door while she and the other two went in. As soon as the three got inside the door slammed shut, Daniel thumped on the door with Hanna doing the same. "Hack the door, hack the door!" Hanna screamed which got a gurgled laugh as a response at the other end of the room. "More test subjects, more cattle and pawns! I knew, I just knew this would work!" The head of the research walked in with some of the colonists behind him. He had green ooze all over him, with boils on his knees and elbows. Alnia, Rag-On and Hanna all pointed their guns at the disgusting man. "Ohhhhh such a shame not more came, I guess I should have gotten more footage shared. Could have gotten an army to come over!" "You deluded disgusting monster!" Hanna yelled back, "Hm yes I see your point. They would have blown up this place, better to get some than none!" "The fuck is wrong with you Dillon!?" "What? Isn't it obvious? No matter, kind fellows shoot these new subjects to cripple not kill." Alnia was to the trigger shooting one in the head with Hanna and Rag-On swiftly backing her up. They managed to shoot down 6 colonists before they got shot themselves, a very lucky break. Alnia accidentally shot Dillon in the chest to which caused him to fall over. Hanna walked on over with her gun focused on his head, Alnia and Rag-On dropped their aims to try to open the door behind them. Daniel was screaming and thumping it, blood coming from his fists as he belted it repetitively. The glass on the window panel was slightly cracked but visible enough for them to see him, his face was of pure terror and panic but the sound barely came through. "I'm going to enjoy killing you!" Hanna gritted her teeth and powered her weapon up, she wanted this to be worth all the pain. Dillon just laughed. "This door is partially sound proof, I can't tell what's on the other side by Daniels face. Hanna!" "What!?" "Daniel is really desperate and we can't open to door. Something is seriously wrong!" As soon as Alnia finished speaking limbs grappled Daniel all over, his blood spraying at the window panel. The thumps from the door got very loud and rapid causing it to shake violently. "Daniel! Fuck no, Daniel!!" Alnia screamed as she jumped back, Rag-On's eyes were wide and his body was suddenly quivering. "That door won't last long, hehe." Dillon laughed. Hanna faced over to Alnia and Rag-On, her face just steaming with tears of shock and anger. She turned Dillon once more and blasted his head into chunks. "We need to get out of here! Come on you two let's try to go around to get back to our ship!" Hanna commanded and ran to the side of the room. The room she looked into through the window panel had a lot of colonists with green ooze and boils all over. She stepped back in shock bumping into Alnia. "The other doors are thumping, Hanna that's our only way. Let's shoot through them and quick!" Hanna turned around, nodded and charged her gun up for high damage. Rag-On and Alnia stood on either side of the door for Hanna to kick open. The door flung open like an explosion whether it was because it already sustained massive damage, explosives were placed or Hanna's boot was extra strong with how angry and upset she was. The door flew metres across the ground but neither of them focused on that as they already had started firing. Their energy shielding protectors soaked up a lot of blaster damage but Hanna was shot through her left leg and shoulder, Alnia had her hands shot from an especially powerful charged shot. The colonists all dropped dead swiftly but both Hanna and Alnia had taken damage, Alnia was glad her shielding allowed her hands to be intact but the burning and crippling sensation made it hard for her to open or use her hands. Rag-On grabbed a hold of each of their belts lifting them slightly up so they could go forward. The three stumbled to the other side of the room with a door that need welding. "I need to unweld this door, you two heal each other up and do it quickly. I get a bad feeling I'll need fire support." Rag-On let go of the both of them and rushed out his welding too, connecting the parts and getting it charged up. Hanna has been bleeding from her leg wound more than her shoulder, she grabbed the Omni-gel from Rag-On's back pack and swiftly applied it to her wounds before doing anything to Alnia. In a rush of adrenaline she didn't apply it properly as she rushed it to help Alnia's crippled hands. The gel worked quickly for Alnia to which she flexed her fingers before grabbing her rifle. Hanna remained crouched on the ground but held her gun firmly in her hands and pointed the same direction as Alnia was. Rag-On was working as fast as he could, but the welder was slightly damaged from the collision from before. He managed to get the door passable before the welder was completely spent. Tapped the two on their legs as a signal to get going, Hanna screamed in pain. "I thought you healed yourself?" Rag-On panicked, "I thought so too, fuck it we don't have time for this I'll just put up with it. We need to go NOW!" She forced herself to stand and pushed the two to get through now. Vibrations back from the room had started and were getting stronger very quick. The three got through the hole in the door and booked it down the corridor, Hanna hobbled very quickly but the adrenaline kept her going. The door in front of them was still functional so they got inside without any issue. The room was filled with gunfire and yelling, Hanna dropped to a crouch and the other two followed suit. Looking through a gap they saw a group of colonists firing at another group of colonists. Then screams and yelling was hard to distinguish but they could make out one sentence. "Keep firing! Keep FIRING!! Don't let them touch you, kill the fucking infected!" Hanna crawled along behind the cover to get to the other side of the room with Alnia and Rag-On following. Neither of them felt like helping or being seen, fearing they would be shot to bits. When they got to the other side the door they entered from was being bashed violently, the colonists all faced that door and started yelling more allowing Alnia and crew to not be spotted. The three snuck through a hole in a wall to a room right as when the door burst open and gunfire blazing behind them. Screams kept echoing even when Alnia, Hanna and Rag-On got to a different room. This room looked familiar to Rag-On. "I remember this room!, this way. Daniel and I checked this room before, we can get back to our ship!" "Fuck yes!" Alnia and Hanna yelled in unison. They followed Rag-On until they got to the docking bay and was met with shock and despair. Their ship has been destroyed. Hanna collapsed, Rag-On dropped his gun, Alnia tried to catch her breath as she stood rubbing her forehead. Hanna had started crying, wiping her face with a rag. Explosions could be felt across the Colony. "This can't be. Oh god no fuck no!" Hanna sobbed in defeat. Alnia kept trying to think of a way out, their ship was destroyed but there must be something they can do. She couldn't stop thinking of her family, the faces of her kids and her husband kept weighing on her mind, she usually is strong enough not to cry but now it's getting to her. Suddenly Rag-On spoke up. "There has to be escape pods! Every station, every ship, all of them has to have an escape pod installed!" He picked up his gun and thumped the other two to snap them out of it. Alnia shook her head to get herself back into control, faced her good friend and nodded. "Yes of course. Come on Hanna we need each other to get out and I won't leave you behind." Hanna with some difficulty stood up and nodded to the other two and they all made their way back. They entered the lobby room and saw a huge gaping whole in a wall, something burst through and left a lot of green ooze trailing to a different room. They couldn't pull up a map or find one, they had no idea where a escape pod would be on this place. "We need to guess, fuck it!" Hanna grunted, "We went down the first way and came back from another side of this place. If we go through at big hole then we might find something, we haven't been down there!" Alnia and Rag-On ran over to make sure there wasn't hiding on the other side. There was so much destruction and ooze, not to mention body parts scattered everywhere. Hanna hobbled behind them and gasped when she it all. Alnia and Rag-On advanced with Hanna following closely, all each holding a weapon of some sort. The trail went on, and on, and on. It felt like they were going around to get back to where they met Dillon, each peering into the rooms as they went on to make sure nothing was hiding. Not a single survivor was along the way, rubbish, scrap and organs was everywhere. Alnia couldn't help but notice all the family picture frames in every room. So many families dead, so many lives lost. At long last they had found progress as they entered the emergency room on the station. Alnia read a map display and exclaimed in joy. "Fuck yes, escape pods down the west wing! We can get the hell out of here." Alnia's face lit up, as well as the other two as well. They looked at each other with relief but with the same determination to live and get the hell out. They all ran down the west corridor to get through to the west wing. Suddenly a loudspeaker screamed out. "Oh no, no, no, no. Heh you aren't escaping thus place alive." It was Dillon. "WHAT?" Yelled Hanna. "I fucking exploded your head how are you still alive?" "There's no time to explain that when I could be killing you instead. Keep running little piggies." He broke into a laughter as lights all around them flickered and bending metal sounded. Rag-On started to panic. "The door! We gotta run!" Alnia and Hanna bolted as Rag-On followed behind. Hanna ignored the burning pain from her wounds and ran faster than the other two, the adrenaline carried her. The doors had been shutting vertically behind them and the thuds of them shutting shook the metal panels beneath their feet. Hanna got to the end and collapsed, the pain from her wounds were so great that she rolled for a few metres. The doors had caught up to Alnia and Rag-On were calling it close, losing their balance slightly as the doors shut. Almost there, they were so close to getting through it all. Both Alnia and Rag-On were so close to make it, but the shockwaves were strong. Alnia jumped in a mad dash attempt to make it, Rag-On followed. Alnia made it, Rag-On had the door shut around his waist. He screamed in agony as his bones cracked and his flesh tore, Alnia screamed in horror to see her best friend being cut in half by the door. She scrambled up and reached for her dear friend, his body dropped and landed in her arms, blood and organs spurting to the ground. Alnia fell over in the panic and embracing her dear friend, his screams ceased to blood gurgling to eventually silence. Alnia cried at out as she held her friends head to hers, crying onto him in immense shock. She cried out to Ragern, but he didn't move or utter anything. His blood and guts covering had soaked into her suit but none of it mattered to her. Hanna crawled over to Alnia suffering the same shock as her, her leg dragging behind her as she got to her only crew member left. She looked at Ragern and was completely silent, she couldn't stop shaking but moved closer to Alnia to rest her hand on Alnia's shoulder. "Alnia. Alnia! We can't stay here! I- I don't think we have much time left. We can cry when we get out, now please!" Hanna got no response, "Alnia! Dammit I want to kick you but I can't. We need to go NOW!" An explosion occurred elsewhere. "ALNIA!" "Ok! Ok ok FINE...! I just-" "Come on!" Hanna muscled enough strength and energy to stand up by herself, she limped as she tried to stay still and offered her hand to Alnia. "Now dammit! I don't want to lose you now!" Alnia let go of Ragern's severed torso and kissed his head before turning to Hanna grabbing her hand to stand up. Hanna's leg wound was a blazing pain but she gritted her teeth, she had to keep going or she will die. Alnia got Hanna's arm around her shoulder and got her moving with a limp further down the corridor. Alnia turned back one final time to see her beloved friend, it hurt so much to see him die in such an unfortunate disgrace. He deserved more and better she thought. Two more corridors they passed until they could see the escape pod room, they heaved and huffed as they stumbled faster together. There were a few left to which they sighed in relief. Alnia got Hanna to one and opened the pod's door, pushing Hanna inwards. "Thank you... so much Alnia." Hanna grunted, her face was full of pain but she forced a sincere smile to Alnia. "We're not out just yet, Hanna. I need to set the coordinates to the nearest station with a hospital." Alnia went over to a console panel and frantically searched the commands. She found what she was looking for pretty quickly and typed the digits in first try without any issue. She confirmed it and rushed back to Hanna. "I did it! The pods should react the Astra Pollux!" Hanna scrunched her face in pain as she stood up to face Alnia. "I'll see you there! Goodbye!" The pod covered the glass and shot down out of the room, the vacuum of space stunned Alnia momentarily but she grabbed onto a railing before losing her balance. Hanna got off the colony, all Alnia had to do was to get into hers. A sudden thrash occurred creating a strong enough shockwave to knock Alnia to the ground. She looked up grabbing her pistol and started firing, ravaging colonists came in dripping green ooze from their eyes and mouth. They had burst through the door that severed Ragern in half, Alnia had enough of this hell. She shot half a dozen in the head in full vendetta mode with the focus to match it, she stood up and recharged her pistol pointing down the hallway behind the door that they burst from. She kept on firing until none else came out to her, the lights popped and the room got dark. The sounds of screaming, gurgling and moaning echoed that confused Alnia. She couldn't tell where she was looking in regards to her surroundings and the sounds were all around her, as she turned on her flashlight attachment she noticed absolutely nothing was around her. Her heart was pounding in fear, she swore there were all around her- the sounds still were all around her- but now she was all alone. No one to talk to. No one to rely on. A creature appeared down the hallway with a dozen or so guns embedded in their flesh. It looked like a worm with arms, Human, Turian, the colonists' arms? There was about a hundred arms in it and moving as if it were still attached to their owners. As Alnia looked closer to have proper look at it the guns embedded in it's flesh had started firing. She collapsed to the floor and rolled to the right to avoid all the projectiles. It was insanely loud, every gun firing at once it felt like an army was at once firing at Alnia. She scrambled to a corner out of sight of the hallway and then grabbed a knife from her waist, she stepped closer to it up against the wall silently waiting for it to get close. She wouldn't be able to kill it with her pistol but if she were to grab one of the rifles, cut it out of it then she might stand a chance. It slithered to the doorway to which she surgically stabbed at it's side trying to rip one of the guns out. Success! It flailed as she pulled it out, knocking her back to her backside. She unleashed into it with all of the gun's might, setting it to dangerous overheat levels. It shredded before her very eyes. Flesh, blood, limbs and flesh giblets. The gun got so hot that it exploded in her hands, blowing her fingers off and wounding her torso with shards of metal. She screamed in the shock of pain, she scrambled back using her elbows. Her vision had gotten blurry as the pain got to her. She could hear more noises come down to her, it terrified her enough that she stumbled several times trying to stand up. She limped over to where the pods are, noticed that most of them had been destroyed from the firepower. All but one remained so she limped to the pod hyperventilating smacking the button with her stump of a hand. Blue blood ran down the terminal as it opened slowly, she screamed at it to hurry up as desperation got worse. As it opened she heard what felt like a hundred footsteps, they came out of nowhere so fast that she tried to dive into the pod. She tried to pull herself in the pod and to close the pod door but she had been grabbed by a dozen hands. She screamed in horror as she tried to overpower them but it was no use, there was too many pulling her back. She was dragged along the ground in blood curdling screaming as she felt her flesh being opened, her limps popped and torn out of her. Her last remaining thought was her family- Laius, Apius and Caetia. ================================ Hanna in her pod wept to herself. The pod came with a camera that she focused to look at the colony, she couldn't see a single pod leave after her. She waiting for a few minutes hoping by mere miracle that Alnia escaped but Hanna gave up after 10 minutes. She cried to herself uncontrollably. She hated Alnia for so long, wished and wanted for her to suffer, die or leave the job. But she didn't actually want her to die. All Hanna could think was of Daniel, Ragern and Alnia. She howled in utter grievance that she didn't care where she was in regards to the travel. Time passed very quickly as she was preoccupied in mourning her crew that she didn't realise she was at the station until it landed. She fumbled around to get the door to pop open and pushed out as the landed on the station's floor. She collapsed in agony and tears, she crawled a little bit before forcing herself to stand. She had to be strong enough to make a detailed report to avenge her crew. She felt her leg wound and fear overwhelmed her, green ooze- or blood?- was pouring out. She heard footsteps approach in front of her to which she turned to face them. As she looked forward after standing up she was ripped apart by gunfire, she never got to make a report or to tell a soul what happened on the station. Her body riddled with wounds she died after the forth projectile hit her. One of the armed figured approached her corpse and turned on his comms. "Hanna Clark is dead. She was infected and had to be dealt with." "Good job. You are dismissed." "Yes sir, understood." The security personal approached Hanna's body and deployed a bag for her to be stored in. Some brought out cleaning chemicals and mops to clean up the blood, shells and plasma singes along the ground as they covered their actions up. The voice on the comms spoke once more, but directed to someone else. "Admiral Keldon, I order you to set your target on that colony station and destroy it. The media won't find out and you'll keep your job."
