I was inspired to do this after seeing PrettyParty do it. So I felt like doing the same for the Skye home. Now this place was based on my actual house when I was 4-7 years old so my memory is a bit iffy on some details. I actually found pictures of the house after searching on google, some good photos there but there were some blank spots because they showed certain spots. One example of it being off was that they showed a bedroom, but didn't say which one it was or where it was in the house.\n\nAnyway, based off of the pictures I found and using my memory I set out to create the floor plan. Using the program it was a bit of a learning curve but I got more use to it as I went through it. The problem with this floor plan however is that I still had no idea what I was doing and the proportions are a bit off. Particularly, the middle of the house, specifically the back living room and kitchen (it's a bit too wide). But overall I got what I wanted to show at the end of it all. The house itself was a great house with a great location, near a beach. So my parents mortgaged it when we were younger, when my Dad was forced to quit (take the money and leave, or stay but have less pay) we basically had to go. When I checked up on details of this house, it apparently sold around 1.2 million AUD around 2010.\n\nIn the story however they will be living here (until the kids move out), Nathan and Rita have a mortgage but are comfortable money wise (this is so the story has less issues outside of the main plot).
