both. It was when I saw the massively fluffy tail that I was tempted to create a female with that in mind.\n\nOver the course of looking for some of my favorite parts to put into the character, I came up with a small backstory for the girl in question and a link to my mink family. In the end, I made this a \"What if...\" scenario;\n\nDahlia was born only a few months after her mother had turned 18, and although she grew up knowing her father, she didn't realize the history her parents had until she herself turned 18 and met her extended family. Her parents were Martin and Yvette, brother and sister, and they kept the secret from her until they were sure she could deal with the information maturely. Upon that revelation, she wondered how the pair could have a child together, and the whole sordid tale was revealed by her mother.\n\n\"You have to understand that I had boyfriends, Dahlia, but I never got over my first love. Martin came home from college one weekend, and I set about putting my plan into action.
