I had another suggestion for future speech with people:  Just like with the action scenes, break up the part where someone’s talking.  Example, in the middle panel, someone suggested I divide it into three, showing Johnny’s chewing of that stick and his expressions with each suggestion.  Another lesson learned.  (Translation.  I intend to work on stretching the dialogue scenes in future strips.)
