Raised by a baker and a quilt maker, Agnes coveted the perceived value of art and fashion. over the practicality of her parents’ professions. She self taught much of what she knew, so that by the time her parents had saved enough for her to attend college at ESMOD, she was far beyond her peers. Her introduction to the fashion world was meteoric. Becoming a household name in Dress and Accessories. Her style was often sleek, but vibrant. Some of her earned fortune was spent giving her parents the freedom to express themselves, but they seemed uninterested, believing the arts to be a waste of time. She rededicated her youth to prove that art and fashion could be used to change the world. The Qualm recruited Agnes during a large upheaval of her fashion line when she discovered how much slave labor went into her works. She spent years as a Facilitator to find renewable fashion, support artists who provoked the evolution of culture and thought, but in time, she could not keep up. She decided to settle down before it became difficult to enjoy her old age. She and her husband [SEE MR. MILLIMETER] have returned to their chalet in Paris to live out the rest of their lives. Madame Courant has stepped down as a fashion mogul and now comments on the state of culture and art in her privately owned magazine.\n_______________________________________________\n\nI was invited to breakfast in Paris once I tracked down Madame Courant's whereabouts. I couldn't eat anything because my work had me on the other side of the world, but it was a warm sunrise and an even warmer atmosphere. I asked for an explanation of why she decided to step down among the Facilitators, and she rested her hand on Mr. Millimeter's leg. Unlike Perantia, the reason for her defection wasn't disillusionment, but a discovery of what was truly important to her. She struggled for years trying to find purpose as a facilitator, which she confessed, came to feel like holding onto water in her old age. But the love she found in this old bat was as fine as any wine, and more precious than any silk she owned. They embraced, and I could not blame them for giving up their roles in the world. Is it selfish? I can't be certain. they've done so much as Facilitators already. Don't they deserve a little rest?\n\nShe told me to not waste my youth on ambition, to find someone that would make me happy.\n\nSuch a thing is likely not meant for me.\n\nArt by @/howlingmadfox",
