No, it means so much more to Kanya on a deeper, emotional level.\n\nYou see, Kanya is a drakkonid - a rare oddity that shouldn't exist, yet does. Born from the mishap of a dragon channeling their magic to bring two separate species together, sometimes a drakkonid is made. Although blessed with insanely long life and unique magic to call their own, inherited from their draconic lineage, all drakkonids are also sterile and do not feature genitalia or the ability to procreate. So in essence, they cannot start families of their own blood. Sure, they can adopt and it can be just as fulfilling, but when the thought of everything else not like you having a shorter life span and dying long before you do, over and over again, then it ceases to be nothing but heartache. Having a child of drakkonid blood that could be blessed with equally long life is the dream - the fantasy of Kanya: to be that mother to those imaginary long-lived children.\n\nSo when Kanya stumbles across several unique species of people who could inject eggs into their partners during sex, this was a fantastic opportunity to experience something that was regulated only to her fantasies. Of course they weren't hers. They would never be hers by blood. In fact, she wouldn't have an stake or claim to them as parent once they hatched, however the mere act of incubating something living inside of her and 'giving birth' to the eggs in her current partner's nest, well... it really was like a dream come true.
