The money and popularity of these contests has made them the driving force, but just how large it really is has yet to be revealed...

Mother's Cradle: A team dedicated to raising funds for the local orphanage, a safe haven to protect the children who often get swept up into the pits. They fight to ensure that no more children get pulled into the hellish training that these pits become. They seek to give birth to a new life for these youngsters, though as their time in the underground wrestling circuit continues, their goal shifts to something vastly more important.
From left to right:
Mistress Mask.
The primary founding member of Mother's Cradle. She saw the city turn from a somewhat under loved place into a hellhole as the Pit gained more strength than any law enforcement could handle, and soon law enforcement was almost non existent. Her involvement began after her son was abducted on his way home one day. With little to no law officials to go to, the search was done by herself. Her searching was such a frenzy that her husband felt that the marriage was a lost cause and walked out on her, leaving her to her search alone. Years later, her search lead her to the Pits, where she watched a young male dinosaur get severely beaten before his comatose body was raped before a cheering crowd. Fighting her way to the ring, she salvaged the now brain dead body of her long lost son, a victim of the meat grinder that is the Pit. Still, the only way to fight back against it was to partake of it, and to ensure no others would suffer this fate, she created the Mother's Cradle team.
Despite her seemingly advanced age, Mistress Mask has only become more dangerous. Her stature is large and her technique flawless with no wasted energy. Be careful; if she's not dodging one of your moves, she's countered you and you've already lost.
The Wing Queen.
The first support Mistress Mask provided for her endeavor. She sought out the support from the orphanage as a daycare as her family only continued to keep their only daughter out of the pits by the father participating in the fights in the Pit. Their fear for the children was so drastic that they even adopted a son they found wandering the streets. However, one day, "The Wing King" suffered a critical and eventually fatal injury, forcing his wife to take up the mantle in the Pit just to keep their children safe. She was quick to join Mistress Mask for the future of the children of the city.
Her aviator mask is not just for show as her wings let her defy gravity for numerous stunts and acrobatic techniques. If she manages to get your feet off of the mat, you likely won't touch it again without suffering a catastrophic crash.
Nahum the Warhorse.
It's not known where Nahum originated, only that he has been in the Pits his entire life. His early life was watched intensely as he was one of the few male bodied hermaphrodites to be in the fights and his early loss humiliations were watched with great interest. However, one day, something changed. Nahum stated that he had an "awakening to a higher calling" after seeing a youth suffer a post fight humiliation. The youth was forever broken, their mind fractured and innocence destroyed. Nahum's maternal side took over and he took the youth under his care, but even in the Pits, there is no safe place. At least, not until he encountered the orphanage supported by Mother's Cradle. A resolve burned into his mind; to prevent other youths from falling victim to the pits, Nahum carved a harsh scar into his chest that burned red. His fighting skills multiplied several fold as he trained with the team and focused on said resolve.
He stands tall in the ring, a noble and honorable front that hides a ruthless power. In one match, it was said that he took on the form of a mighty centaur to completely dominate his opponent, but the sighting has been rare and often said to just be an exaggeration of a match that went in his favor.
Mistress Marian
One of the earlier members of the Mother's Cradle, Marian was a natural at sewing and crochet. Her job at a local clothing store had her spending her spare time patching up the disheveled clothes of the various orphans and homeless children. When she became aware of the orphanage and the pit scene that dominated the city, she chose to work for them and despite her somewhat fearsome appearance, her intentions are pure.
Her multiple arms allow her extra leverage and support in close quarters while her strong legs let her make quick bounds around the ring. If you spend too much time watching her, you'll most certainly be just a fly in her web.
Lady X
A stray youth who was swept up into the pits, she was trained by several different teams before ending up with Mother's Cradle. She has enjoyed being with the team as, for once, she feels she has purpose for the youth she was robbed of.
Her skills focus on using her smaller stature to her advantage; she is not too suited for heavy lifting techniques, but technical fighting using her flexibility to bend and twist and pull at her opponent's joints. She'll soon teach you that a white cat crossing your path can be bad luck as well.
Tephra the Dragon Warrior.
Tephra is one of the early members of Mother's Cradle. She made the mistake of moving to the city with it's promises of "freedom" and "sights you'd never see anywhere else", only to quickly be swept up into the Pits with her larger stature drawing a great deal of attention. Fortunately, Mistress Mask was the one to take her under her wing before she was fed to the proverbial sharks. That said, she is the member most prone to showboating and clamoring to the audience and with her exceptional size and strength, she's gained something of a small personal following.
A heavy hitter, Tephra's fighting style has been based around single mighty blows or single strong techniques. One match was won with a single blow as she struck out with a mighty uppercut that knocked her opponent out and sent them sailing out of the ring. Those who last longer in the ring with her can swear that the fighting field grows hotter and her own body is furiously hot to the touch. Her preferred fighting partner in team bouts is Mistress Marian as she's able to ensure the opponents don't move and are hit with the full force of her blows.
Vex, the machine.
A patamon man with scars from years of being in the pit adorning his body. He is the result of an experiment when a team attempted to make a perfected fighter. That said, something went wrong. The fight he was to debut in never took place as before the bell rang, he ruthlessly murdered the teammate in his own corner. Several other members of his own team and handlers entered the ring to subdue him and he killed them all with single strikes from a set of hidden claws inside of his hands. A fighter with this type of skill was in high demand and the attempts to subdue him all met with the grisly injury or death of all who attempted to enter the ring. This only came to a head when Mistress Mask entered the ring. What took place then was a conflict none were prepared to witness, with the result being his everlasting allegiance to Mother's Cradle and Mistress Mask specifically.
He rarely speaks, often only ever letting out a loud muffled exhale through his mask. He fights like a man possessed, often showing no signs of pain, no stress, and no remorse. Despite being taught how to fight without killing his opponents, he is rarely called into the ring by the Mother's Cradle crew as he fights as ruthlessly and mechanically as the machine he's named after. Woe to those who manage to hurt Mistress Mask...

Dus to Dust
Dus is one of the rare solo fighters without a clear backer. While he fights to get funds, he actually spends it on helping people get off the streets and get a new lease on life, especially children. However, being a solo player makes you a prime target since no one will try to help you should something happen. Due to regularly crossing paths with Mother's Cradle, they eventually allowed him to join.
Dus has a lot more core weight than most fighters, but this only made him focus on a somewhat Sumo style. He's a great deal stronger than one may suspect and often wins matches by brute force after lulling his opponent in with his supposed slow form.
Despite the looks, he can actually take to the air if need be and is much more flexible than you'd expect.

Suzie Tusket: The Combat Mom
Suzie is mother to two children, one being a very powerful super human wrestler for justice. That said, when the Pit caught her attention, she couldn't let it slide and turned her focus into helping destroy it. Such an abomination couldn't be allowed to last, even if she was to risk suffering losses in such an environment.
Unlike her son, Suzie is faster and stronger and capable of more elaborate techniques that can break the strongest of fighters. With these abilities and being a mother herself, she soon came across Mother's Cradle and joined their efforts.
OOC on page 3:
Suzie Tusket, or just Suzie as she's known in Japan, is the mother of Wally Tusket AKA Seiuchin, the walrus fighter from the series Kinnikuman Nisei or Ultimate Muscle.
Now, she's a fairly thick lady with a hell of a bust, however as you can see, Saesar was't too fond of the strange "nose" the official design has, so he made it a bit "cuter".
For this iteration of the lovely mother, she herself has taken an active role in the ring and thus isn't as portly as her non-combative counterpart.
That said, the ring will surely quake when she gets going.
