However, she also knew of the rumors around them.\n\nRumors such as Mrs. Cake actually cheating on her husband, but their happy romance wasn't a mere act on either side.\n\nThe more plausible rumor was that they were a swinger couple; a husband and wife who love eachother very much, but expand their sexual encounters beyond just the two of them.\n\nConsidering the fact that Pumpkin has the mane and coat coloring of Carrot Cake seems to enforce that he is indeed her father, though her unicorn horn and Pound's grey coat, dark mane, and pegasus wings seemed to say that there was probably more than one stallion having their way with Cup Cake at the time the twins were conceived.\n\nSin had donned the disguise of Sinuous, a blue coated unicorn with purple hair and a mark showing her talent for having a long tongue. She claimed to have come from trottingham and jumped from job to job in ponyville, claiming to try and show that she had more talent than just having a long and flexible tongue.\n\nShe used this to harvest love from the citizens, though she has no intention of plotting an overthrow of the crown as did Chrysalis. Sin actually despised the actions of that queen as her brazen attack left a stigma on all changelings that they were simply controlling monsters. Sin planned to show that they were simply a people that wished to exist alongside others, but to do that, she needed to make friends with the residences without brain controlling them.\n\nThe odd jobs helped this.\n\nShe had been spending time wandering through the town, looking for her next job opportunity, when she heard the sound of the door to Sugarcube corner opening and saw Mrs. Cake leading out with Pound and Pumpkin in their carry cases, leaving the shop in the care of Carrot Cake.\n\nHowever, that was not what caught her attention. Her changeling affinity to sense the feelings of others around her caught the sensation of sadness, anger, and frustration surrounding Mr. Cake, as well as her catching a glint of an unhappy mood in his eyes.\n\nWith a small smile, she decided it'd be a good time to visit Sugarcube corner (especially since she had seen that pink party pony that rented living space there off having some sort of contest with the rainbow maned pegasus.).\n\n--\n\nWith the jingle of the store bell, she wandered inside and caught him in a split second of wearing that same face before he suddenly slapped on his best shop-owner-smile.\n\n\"Why hello there! Looking for anything specific today?\" he pitched and Sinuous smiled kindly in return.\n\n\"Well, actually I am. You see, I saw your wife head out with the youngsters and the pink pony off doing other things and I was wondering if you'd mind if I assisted you part time, for today at least.\" she suggested.\n\n\"Part time?\" he stated. She nodded.\n\n\"Mmhmm, I've always wanted to try my hoof at baking sweets. Think you could show me how it's done?\"\n\n\"Well, I don't see why not. Cup Cake is taking the fillies to see their grandmother and Pinkie isn't due back until tomorrow.\" he said, to which Sinuous smiled.\n\n-\n\nA few hours had passed and Sinuous had only slightly burned one batch of cupcakes, while the next two batches and even the cake she had going all came out rather picture perfect. Mr. Cake was watching her put the finishing icing on the last of the cupcakes and had to comment.\n\n\"I'm impressed, you're a natural at this. You sure that cutie mark isn't referring to you being able to lick up all the icing?\" he said with a chuckle, to which she chuckled in return.\n\n\"I wish. However, I must confess something to you, Carrot.\" she said, using his first name.\n\n\"Confess?\" he questioned.\n\n\"Yes, you see, I didn't come here to simply make sweet treats... I have a natural talent for being able to tell when someone is distressed emotionally... like you.\" Carrot looked at her and blinked a few times before he opened his mouth, only to be cut off. \"And don't try to deny it, I could see it on your face and was practically smothering in it while you were teaching me. Now, would you like to tell me what is troubling you or should I embarrass you?\" she asked, a bit flatly.\n\n\"I... don't know what you...\" he feebly began, which made Sinuous sigh and close her eyes.\n\n\"The rumors are all over town about your kids, how they have such 'rare' genes, but you know for a fact that Pound looks nothing like you OR your wife. It may be spoken in whispers and never to your face, but I listen to those whispers, and deep down, those same things are tearing you up on the inside; that your wife gave birth to a filly that isn't even of your own blood. I can also tell that right now, deep down, you're angry, frustrated and plain confused. Now did I hit the nail on the head?\" she said, giving a determined stare into his eyes.\n\n\"You...\" his face hardened and he grew angry, gritting his teeth as his ears splayed back for a moment before tears started to blur his vision as his face reddened and he simply closed his eyes hanging his head. \"Yes... you're right...\"\n\nSinuous moved closer and gently nosed his neck.\n\n\"Come... close up the shop and meet me in your room... you need to talk about this and I'm willing to listen.\" she said as she walked past him and up the stairs.\n\nHe was alone in the kitchen for a few moments with his head hung before he got up, locked the door, and turned the sign around to say \"Closed\" before he followed her up into the bedroom.\n\n-\n\n\"Start at the beginning.\" Sinuous stated as she sat on the edge of the king sized bed the couple shared with Carrot sitting next to her.\n\n\"We... well...\" he sniffed once, his head still hung before he took a deep breath. \"We've been married for quite a few years, and we love each other very much. However, when it came to sex, we both have open minds and never had any problems in having fun with others, so long as we were honest about it and didn't let it interfere with our relationship.\" he said before continuing. \"Even after we were married, this continued... The night the twins were conceived... Well, we had a special order we needed to deliver to the canterlot garden party. Cup and I made love that night before she decided to take the order up herself while I made sure Pinkie didn't burn the bakery down. But ever since that day that she told me of the Royal Guards... I've been... well... jealous. Jealous that she's been intimate with royalty... or at least that close to it...\" he said as he let out one more sigh, Sinuous gripping is shoulder and pulling him closer.\n\n\"Would being intimate with Royalty help cleanse this jealous streak from you?\" she asked.\n\n\"I... She's also very fun to converse with.\" she stated as she smiled at him. \"So say the word, Yes or No?\"\n\nHe was quiet for a moment before he closed his eyes, slowly opening them and looking at Sinuous.\n\n\"Yes, I accept to meet with her.\" he stated.\n\nSinuous grinned at him and gave his nose a little kiss before she stood up off the bed and faced him.\n\n\"All right, no running now.\" she said as she used her horn to shut and lock the bedroom door, followed by the window.\n\n\"Umm... how will she get in here?\" Carrot asked before Sinuous giggled.\n\n\"Silly stallion. Couldn't you guess? I'M the Queen.\" she said. Carrot blinked with a frown on his face as he looked at her and was about to open his mouth before he was silenced by her red eyes glimmering brighter for a moment as a slow crimson wave of 'flames' started at her horn, slowly turning it ebony and gnarled like the trunk of a very old tree, the wave continuing over her face, her eyes still red, but narrowing to cat slit pupils as her mouth displayed sharp fangs as a 'crown' of red jewels appeared on top of hr head. Her hair didn't change, except to have odd holes in it while she sprouted wings, thin and insect like while her belly revealed the green translucent stomach, the barely visible motions of some of her organs possible to make out as the 'flames' finished off at the tips of her holed hooves and tip of her purple tail.\n\n\"Hello, Carrot Cake.\" she spoke with a sort of humming echo to her voice that was not there before. \"I stand before you as Queen Sin, the eventual ruler of the changelings.\" she said, albeit in a modest tone.\n\nCarrot had to blink his eyes several times, rubbing them with his hooves. \n\n\"You... but... a...WHAT?!\" he asked, more perplexed than frightened. \"Changeling? Queen? But... you're not even taller than I am...\" he stated.\n\n\"I admit, I'm not fully grown yet.\" she said, looking away from his probing eyes. \"In this stage of my life, I have the potential to be a queen of my own colony, but I have yet to reach that point and I seek to make friends here so that my children will be safe... You know of this desire... to keep you children safe.\" she stated.\n\nThe shock of her drastic change had worn off and as he listened he nodded his head slowly before closing his eyes.\n\n\"Being a parent can be hard... Spending so much time afraid...\" he said softly.\n\nSin walked up closer to him and gently kissed his nose, her lips being warm and soft.\n\n\"And I want all my friends to be able to help me protect my children from an overly judgmental Celestia.\" she said softly before she kissed his lips gently, to which he responded by kissing her back. Sin knew of the Cakes and their very pretty twins, Pound and Pumpkin. However, she also knew of the rumors around them.
