The nightfall came at it’s usual time, marking a closing to an eventful day. Lucky, the once fairly unfortunate Zangoose, yawned and stretched, having said good night to his friends at the Guild that his mate often worked at and began on his way back towards his forest, intending to go to sleep in his tree, but upon taking a look at the sky, and noting at how dark it was getting, decided that sleeping just outside of his forest couldn’t be a problem. The air was temperate, the sky was clear, and the grass was soft. Moving up to a fairly large tree, he curled himself up into a neat little ball on the grass beneath it and, with one deep sigh, fell asleep.

I seek you as you are the only one with talents that are needed that I have been able to find.” As the Drowzee spoke, it sounded like he was echoing before each word left his mouth. “First, after you awaken, go and follow this pathway, at the end of it will be a guide who will inform you of more when you arrive.” he said, an image of a dirt pathway leading into a tree line was shown floating in the nowhere zone of dreams. “Do this task, and I promise you, you’ll be GREATLY rewarded.” The Drowzee said with a smile before he drifted into obscurity and soon, the rest of the dream fell away, leaving Lucky with the sensation of falling until he finally landed back in his own body, startling him awake.
“Ugh... What a weird dream...” he said as he rubbed his face and slowly cracked one eye open, noting that the dawn was slowly coming around as the sky was painted with the rays of the early sun. As it did so, it illuminated a pathway of dirt that he had not seen the previous day. “The same pathway as my dream... I guess... Someone needs my help...” he said, climbing to his feet and taking a deep breath to steady himself. “All right... You need my help... Lucky is on his way.” he said to himself as he began walking on all fours, in typical zangoose fashion, through the grass and soon arriving on the pathway, following it as he was instructed, taking his time and thinking of who or what could need his help bad enough to visit him in a dream, much less, even offer a reward. “Well... I guess I’ll find out... I just hope they made the right choice choosing me...” he said as he reached the tree line, took another deep breath, and walked into the forest.

The canopy of the forest was fairly thick, the interior still seeming to be cloaked in night as the early morning rays could not pierce it. Lucky walked at a moderate pace, still following the faint outline of the dirt trail, at least, what he could see of it in the darkness. He listened carefully and heard a surprisingly small amount of noises for a forest, which would be normal for the forest that Lucky is from, but not a normal forest. Lucky jumped back, preparing to run if he needed to until he saw the shiny blue dome head of a Quagsire standing up amidst the bushes, popping a fat berry into his wide mouth before happily chewing it and swallowing before opening his eyes and smiling at Lucky.
“Well, hello there!” he said, rather cheerfully. “I’ve not seen a pokemon like you in this forest... What brings a tough Zangoose like you here?” he asked as she stepped out of the bushes and onto the pathway as he brushed his smooth skin free of the sticks and twigs of the bushes.
Lucky was still leaning back a little, not sure how a quagsire popped out of nowhere like that but he didn’t question it. He cleared his throat before speaking.
“Hi, well, I’m not normally from around here, and I don’t think I’m all that tough.” he said, bashfully rubbing the back of his head.
“Oh, come on.” Said the quagsire. “You’re well built and no one just walks around with an eye missing and scars like THAT and says he’s not tough.” Lucky blushed a bit.
“Well... I guess I’m just more Lucky then anything else...” he said. “Anyway, I came here... Following a trail.” he said, wanting to leave the bit about a dream out of it. “In fact it’s this one that leads deeper into the forest. Do you happen to know where this trail leads?”
The quagmire’s eyes widened and he nodded as a worried expression came over his face.
“Yeah, I do... This trail leads into the heart of the forest and into the territory of The Unwanted.” he said, leaving a tint of foreboding about the name he just listed.
“The... Unwanted?” Lucky asked and the quagsire nodded.
“Yeah... You go that way, and you’ll go alone. Most folks end up running from there screaming...” Lucky narrowed his eye and looked down the path. “... but you’re gonna keep going, aren’t ya?”
“Well... to be honest... I feel that I have to... Like something is waiting for me...” Lucky said in a hushed tone.
“Then... I wish you luck.” the quagsire said. Lucky nodded.
“Thank you for your time, please take care.” Lucky said before the quagsire nodded and Lucky ventured further down the path.
As Lucky left, a wicked smile crossed the quagsire’s mouth.

Lucky continued down the dirt path as it twisted and turned deeper into the forest. As he followed it, he kept thinking about what the quagsire had said. The Unwanted? What were they? Pokemon rejected by trainers? Were they pokemon at all? Was it just one or were there many? If many, HOW many?

He got a little confused, but he had nothing to go on. He walked over to a toppled tree, a now old log, and sat on it, resting his chin in his hands and rubbing his face and closing his eye.
As he did so, he swore he could hear something. He kept his eye covered and shut and continued listening. He could swear he could hear something that sounded like... hushed voices? If he just concentrated...

The one holding him up was a mighty Rhyperior, the one in the place where the immature voice came from was an Aggron, and after looking around a bit more, in the place where he swore he heard a voice, was a Tyranitar.
Three of the most powerful non legendary pokemon and all three with their eyes fixed on him.

I’m glad to have been a positive experience for you three.” he said as he headed towards the bush in his dream, peering through it and indeed seeing a dirt pathway.
