"description": "Excellent commission done by [iconname]Exelzior[/iconname]!\n\n---\n\nMany thought the coming of the Calamity Ganon was merely a fable, but to the more tribal people of Hyrule; the Bokoblins, the Moblins, and the Lynel, the call was strong enough to pull at their very bones. The primal rage, the anger, the hatred that came from Ganon spoke to the tribal ones and turned them to amass and attack the ones who separated themselves from the tribal life style; the ones who lived in towns and had ears to listen to the words of the goddess.\n\nThe attacks began with a silent call from Ganon. Bokoblins and Moblins in masses attacked first in their plentiful numbers. The Lynel were smarter and spread their number out, reaching remote areas. After all, a single experienced Lynel could handle an entire army on their own. \n\nShe was one such Lynel. Armed with a savage crusher, she and one other made a choke point at a trade route in Akkala. A single Lynel could destroy an army. two were a death sentence for all who dared to enter the region. For her tendency to go after the most heavily armored of soldiers and caravans, the other Lynel named her \"Shield Crusher\" in their tongue.\n\nShe knew not the reason she was called to this place, only that there were curious items that many of the transporters held bearing the eye of the Sheikah. She only knew the call in her bones was telling her to destroy them and slay the ones carrying them.\n\nThen, one day, it happened. A rapturous explosion of malice and power escaped the castle at the center of Hyrule. The pure rage and hatred made even the Lynel feel deep fear in their bones, but for those who did not cower or hide, a gift was bestowed upon them. She experienced this when a fragment of the malice dove into her; her mane and tail changed into a deep ebony as her coat changed to show a silver coloration marred by dark purple stripes.\n\nWith near unmatched strength, she gleefully tore through any and all Hylians who crossed her path, though it soon grew to be dull unless they were willing to fight back, and even then, few could offer her a proper challenge, but the deep seething monster known as Ganon pulled at her bones to slay them regardless, and she soon found that she was powerless to resist it.\n\nNot long after the Calamity began did it become quiet once more, muffled, yet she was enslaved to it's desires. For the first two years, it was tolerable as she could still exert free will to a degree, but afterwards, the Calamity and malice inside of her took greater hold. She could not control herself and could not do what she normally would do. Eating, sleeping, all were stopped and instead, she patrolled. She patrolled, feeling a burning hatred. Her body cried for food, cried for sleep, but received none as it merely patrolled until she found a new victim to slaughter.\n\nInstead of food or drink or sleep, an occasional night would occur where the blood moon would rise and her needs would be quelled and her wounds healed. However, this was not living.\n\nShe did not age, she had no free will, and for the following 98 years, she was a tortured slave as her mind slowly receded to escape the torture as her body moved without her.\n\nShe was only snapped out of her mental daze when a blood moon would rise or she sustained an injury.\n\nDuring her recessed mindset, she had much time to ponder her place in the world and what she even was. Lynel valued strength and honorable combat. Wounds that you survived were marks of pride. The weak would perish in the wild and this went for offspring. However, a memory clawed at her. She had mated with a Lynel she thought was strong, but the offspring she bore was weak and feeble. Her people and knowledge told her to abandon it, and so she did. However, a terrible pain struck her chest; the pain of a mother who could hear the cries of her child as she left them to fend on their own in a dangerous world. Wounds that you survived were marks of pride, yet this wound never seemed to heal. She pondered what else there was to those she was fighting against all this time, but could not sate this curiosity as the claws remained in her head and froze her muscles into her patrol and fighting, and thus, her mind receded again.\n\nShe wasn't sure what happened, she only knew she felt a great deal more pain than before one day and felt her body grow heavy and, for the first time in a hundred years, felt the claws on her mind release as she watched her body slump to the ground. At last, in death, she was free...\n\nOr so she thought, as the following blood moon pulled her back as her body was reborn and her wounds were healed. The torture was to be eternal and the malice empowering her form only fed upon her anguish.\n\nShe was brought out of her haze one more time by pain as she felt something lashing at her back before a deep piercing sensation severed her spine between her upper and lower half. Despite the pain, there was something much more freeing about it; as if whatever was cutting into her flesh corroded the malice taking hold of her. She once again felt her mind leaving her body, but just as before, was forcefully pulled back upon the next blood moon and her wounds healed.\n\nShe truly thought this torment would be eternal, until one day, she saw a crescendo of four bright blue beams of light streaking towards Hyrule Castle. She felt the claws in her mind finally withdraw on that moment and her body started to regain it's freedom. It was still a fight, it didn't seem that her body was completely free until a while later as a massive shining light purged the twilight and malice over the castle.\n\nAt last... she was free.\n\n---\n\nThe first few days the claws were out of her mind, she took time to indulge in what she had not the opportunity to do in one hundred years; to eat, to drink, to bathe, and to sleep. The oppressive atmosphere of the world had been lifted and she merely wanted to live.\n\nShe settled upon a territory in North Akkala Valley where she could freely hunt boar and deer, though she also remained near the trade route she once attacked. After the Calamity was purged, she took the opportunity to travel along it to the east before she ventured south to see what lie around her all this time and how the land had changed. Her travel along the main road brought fear into the hearts of many commoners, but she found that she no longer had a drive to attack them. In fact, she had no aggression towards them at all and preferred, instead, to merely defend herself if one decided to muster the bravery to attack her, which was often in the form of a very poorly shot arrow, which was easy enough to deflect or avoid.\n\nHer travel south brought her to the outskirts of a town surrounded by water with only a single pathway in or out of it. The single pathway made her more combative senses worry as it meant that it would be well fortified and easily defended from that point and that they would be expecting malicious encounters. Thus, she decided not to enter it, but instead patrol the northern border of the town before reaching the Torin Wetland, where she decided to stay and keep eyes on the town. \n\nTarry Town was most peculiar to her; it hosted many species she had seen from all across Hyrule gathered in one place. No combat was had and the only raised voices were in celebration. She would see a few of them occasionally leave and go fishing or hunt boar or deer in the wetland, but others she saw doing something she couldn't quite understand. Some members of the town were growing plants into containers. These plants were not eaten, but were raised with care, seemingly because they looked attractive. To raise something not because it's strong, but because you care for it...\n\nShe decided to investigate this in the wetland, but most of the foliage was too small or frail for her to examine for long. The only one that withstood her inspections were an odd purple flower that would bend and flex but she could not crush it.\n\nShe had no idea that this little flower would soon be the origin of her new name, or that someone was watching the famously ferocious Silver Lynel... stop to smell the flowers.",
