"description": "Expedition Log\n- 2nd trek to southern horn, pearl coast\n- Day 72\n\nToday our expedition, much to the joy of sir Grifnors, our expedition biologist, stumbled upon a group of gobos, or rather they stumbled upon us. Truth to be told, it was their nauseating stench that I had the displeasure of smelling far before I saw them. I was told that it was their pheromones that created that ungodly stench. Peculiar creatures though, ugly and short, not much higher than waist of a man. The group consisted of one bigger and two smaller gobos that clanged close. The little ones were sure to make, what I was told to by locals, rude gestures but didn't stray too far away from their guardian. The older gobo on the other hand observed our group and even spoke in some broken imperial which is quite common across these lands. He didn't show much interest in us or our equipment, but rather, he kept an eye on one of the local pup animals the local guide brought to carry our supplies and tools.\n\nUpon seeing his behavior and knowing of their instincts and urges I initiated a talk with the brute as that would help sir Grifnor with his research for the royal academy. You see, sir Grifnor, explained to us that gobos only have what one would consider the male gender. They reproduce by capturing pups of other races, primarily of the talking animal variety, enslave them and breed them to produce offspring. Naturally, one would expect that two males wouldn't be able to produce offspring, but gobos evolved in such a way that their bodily fluids change their slaves into becoming virile and susceptible to their seed. Sir Grifnor also postulated that these savage creatures originally came from our continent and moved here long ago, when it was so cold for the sea to freeze. Honestly, I trust sir Grifnor with my life, but some things are hard to believe. I can swallow the sea freezing but to think that such savages came to be on our holy lands are beyond preposterous. \n\nThey also seemed rather accustomed to these savage lands, unlike us they cared little for civilized clothing and in their ignorance preferred to walk in the nude which is strange when one considers that even talking animals wear some garments in these lands. We did notice that the bigger one did wear a primitive and rather rudimental loincloth that did little to actually cover his indecency. And on reflection I realized that they would indeed have little need to cover themselves up, which sir Grifnor agreed upon. He postulated that, since they use pheromones to subdue their prey, they probably wear the cloth to soak up their sweat and make their scent more potent.\n\nWe quickly decided to try and put some of sir Grifnors theories to the test and offered our young animal in exchange for location of their lair.
