For days he shoo-ed off gobos in his free time while enjoying the countryside, much to the annoyance to the local gobo tribe. He was really enjoying it too, having great time fighting against low level enemies and taunting the gobo shaman that kept trying to defeat him with various primitive spells. It was a great way for Elan to pass his time while he waited for important things.... and a great source of shame and anger to the gobo shaman. The shaman soon tried to use stronger and better spells, ambushes and tricks, but he could never outsmart the ranger who was sure to point out how stupid all their plans and attempts were.

The day started the same as usual. Another lame attempt by the gobos to defeat him only to then run away when their plans failed. It was fun at first but by now it started getting old and Elan was looking forward to finding their lair and kick them out of the region for good. His ear picked up the shouts and curses of the gobo shaman, only this time he heard a proposal. A challenge of wits.
The shaman didn’t specify the wit challenge but said only he will tell once they are both on location. A ‘sacred’ place to the gobos… most likely some ruin they found and took for their own. Next was the proposal itself. If the gobo shaman lost, he would take the tribe and leave the region, and if he won then the ranger would have to give them all his gold and leave. Trying not to laugh at the proposal, Elan accepted, and the shaman quickly started running to where the challenge would take place.
The shaman ran off while Elan took his time, lazily following the tracks gobo left. There was no reason to rush, once he won he could finally get the gobos out without much fuss and get the reward. Reward was rather modest for a pawdventurer of his stature, but a good deed would just add to his legend. In any case he figured it was fun while it lasted and he should wrap it up, so he followed the tracks and saw that the gobo chose some ancient ruins to conduct the challenge. An obvious trap where he would get ambushed he thought, but not like they would have any chance anyway. It would end just like it did all the other times before.
With a carefree attitude he entered the ruins. It looked pretty standard although he didn’t quite recognize what ancient civilization built these. It made sense of course, he rarely ventured into ruins of low level zones as the rewards were not worth his time. That aside, the gobo shaman was nowhere to be seen, surely somewhere inside waiting in ambush. Doesn't matter, he thought as he walked carefree in an attempt to get the gobo to ambush him so he could get it over with.
There he saw it, a magical trap of some kind. He figured that whatever trap it was it had to be low level as well, and if he pretended to be trapped by it the gobo would come out and he could finally get him to go away. So he stepped on it sure that his natural resistance as a ranger would make the trap whiff.
What happened was something he didn't expect. For some unknown reason the ruins had traps of much higher level and by the time he realized this the magic already hit his body. Stepping on magical traps usually wouldn't be an issue. He always drank resistance potions when he was in high level zones, but not here. Nothing gobos or any monster here for that matter could affect him, not even in his sleep!
The magical energy surged through his body, and he felt like he was being transported somewhere. Everything was getting bigger and further away. Only when he felt his pants slipping off his waist did he realize what was really going on. He was getting smaller! A shrinking trap he thought and looked down only to see his manhood, that many a woman or man would admire, transform into this small thing he didn't saw since he was just a snotty pup. It was humiliating, he knew the gobo would relish in seeing this... It was then that he figured out what the trap really was. He was not being shrunk but rather regressed!
He remembered that the gobo was still lying-in wait and that he should run away and find a way to dispel the effect before it becomes permanent. The gobo shaman didn't give him that chance though. He waited so long for this moment and finally a trap worked, most likely because it was an ancient one and not one made by gobos but it didn't matter, he did not care for such nuance. He jumped down from his hiding spot and grabbed the now small pup startling him.
“Eep!” the once formidable ranger yelped, surprised both by the gobo and the high pitch of his own voice. Elan tried to get away but the now to him huge gobo held him firm with his big bulky hands. He struggled until the gobo squeezed him and lifted him off the ground like he was some kind of small child! “Ah my pants! L-Let me go!” he yelped in a squeaky voice.
"Ah no! You stay here! Not so smart now? Where are your smart words now little boy? Gone like your small prick? It was small before but now it is useless like you. Haha, that’s what you get for challenging me! " The gobo said in his broken common language.
A surge of embarrassment and tears popped up on cubs face as he saw his small naked body being lifted by the stinky stupid gobo. He couldn't believe he fell for a trap he could easily avoid, no he didn't want to admit it, yet he was realizing very quickly that he had to... more pressingly he felt like he couldn't control his body all that well anymore. His legs were shaking and he had a strong urge to pee... was it fear? No it could not be... in a shaky voice he yelped. “A-alright you won! You can take my gold! Now put me down and stop looking at me! I gotta go!” his voice squeaked as the hands held him above ground.
The gobo laughed, “Put you down? Why would I do that? Now I got both you and your shiny gold.”
Elan eyes teared up more, “B-but we agreed on a challenge… you said… nhhh... j- just put me down... ah no...” to his horror he could only watch as his lowed end gave up and a small stream of wee ran from his tiny prick humiliating him in the process.
"Oh? What's this? Strong hero pissing himself out of fear? With that small prick you look more like a helpless cub to me. A wanna be smart hero."
"No.. I am not peeing out of fear! I... nhhh... s-stop looking... nhh...." the cub sobbed as he couldnt stop his legs from shaking and could just watch his stream soak the oversized pants underneath him.
"You look like all the pups i captured to me, shake the same way and pee yourself the same way haha... oh? Wanna be smart hero crying now too?" the shaman grinned in amusement.
"...please.. sniff... I lost, let me go..." the cub sobbed.
"If you didn’t want to lose you should had not challenged me! Told you not to mess with gobo. Gobo smart, unlike you, you only wanna be smart. You only good for one thing, to be small and to be taken to gobo lair. There you no need stupid clothes." The shaman said while licking the cheek of the cub.
Elan felt unbearable shame from being seen like this... being handled by a filthy gobo like this...The big rough hands holding him up, digging into his fur... and what’s worse the once repugnant smell now had a sweet tang to it. A strange feeling in his tummy started to rumble as it slowly dawned on him.... was he really just a pup now... did he really peed himself in fear?
“I..I’m sorry, please let me go. I won’t make trouble to you I promise… you can have my bow and gear too… p-please?” the cub pleaded knowing it was futile.
The gobo shaman enjoyed the pleading, it was like song to his ears after all the humiliation he had to suffer through. He grinned from ear to ear and put his head beside the small cub speaking into his pulled back ear. "Don't worry wanna be smart boy. You not as smart as gobo but still smart enough. You will figure how to fit in. I am gonna have much fun training you....and you gonna have much time to learn..."

Elan didn't return to the village to hand in the quest. The quest giver didn't give it much thought. A hero of his renown probably had better things to do compared to some backwater gobo quest. He sighed and went outside, he had to stamp that quest onto the board again in hopes that a pawdventurer will pick it up.
