The choice of which slave goes to which burrow is up to the gobos and differs from tribe to tribe, though most often a gobo would have a preferred slave they want for their burrow, oftentimes that one being a slave they captured. These slave pups are already well acclimated to their new life and are happy to be moved to the burrows, where they can spend even more time with their gobo masters.
The gobo lairs have generally very thick and musky air, filled with scents of sweat, musk and sex, making it hard for pawdventurers to sniff out the gobos and find their burrows, even when they are very well versed in the art of tracking. The musky air is usually so filled with pheromones that younger pawdventurers have hard time keeping their thoughts clear which allows the gobos to either evade or ambush them more easily. The burrows are usually the muskiest place in the lair, competing with the breeding pens for the first spot. It is this constant presence of gobo sscent that makes the burrows a pleasant place for the slaves to be, who at that point feel safe and secure only when they can smell their masters nearby.
In the burrows proper, the slaves are free to roam, and they usually do so in order to help the gobos out, doing menial tasks like cleaning and playing with the young gobo spawn. They also help out by being there for their gobos, who like to fondle them and use them as stress relief in various ways, some of which include cuddling, tasting (also known as kissing), breeding and listening to pups voices (whether it be talking or moaning). The burrow slaves are very attuned to their gobos and act according to how their gobo needs (which they can learn to smell, differentiating the scent of stress, lust, tiredness etc.)
For the gobos, the burrows are what one would consider home, a place primarily used for resting, though they do have their own set of tasks to perform there. The tasks consist primarily of feeding the slaves (by letting them nurse on their cocks), grooming and breeding the slaves as well as cooking, sewing and other crafts that they need in order to make their tools (some burrows have slaves who can help with this too). Gobos also like to use the burrows for social activity between their fellow gobos or their slaves. Some of these social activities are gobos decorating their slaves with markings of their tribe (sometimes even jewelry) in order to make them prettier. Gobos from other burrows can visit from time to time, in which case the gobos at home would be happy to show off their slaves and other possessions they have.
All this makes the burrow the core building block of any gobo society.
