Being located on crossroads of trade the border guards have to look through lots of papers and check through even more cargo.\n\nUnlisted trade goods, contraband, illegal substances and slaves are all highly illegal and unwelcome in Luxia, and more so if they come imported from the savage lands that lie across the great sea. For that reason the guards employ trained animals as sniffer dogs to search for contraband. Any animal of the canis family would do though the smaller and younger ones are usually easier to train for this task while the bigger tend to be used as guard dogs or even takedown help for those who are feeling smart and try to outrun the guards.\n\nAfter a long work day it is pretty common that some of the worker animals have to do their thing and the guards usually take this opportunity to chat with one another and exchange gossips and other kind of small talk.
