LA DECISIÓN DE SKYE

Era una tarde algo agitada en bahía aventura, pues el viento soplaba algo fuerte ese día. Esa misma tarde, Raider y los paw patroll habían hecho un rescate exitoso. Varios de los animales del granjero AL se habían escapado luego de que un poste de metal llevado por el viento, rompiera la cerca. Raider y su equipo acudieron rápido al rescate usando sus equipos de vuelo. Pero después de completar la misión, chase y Marshall deciden buscar en las lejanías de la ciudad por acaso un pequeño cerdito se escapó, o algo por el estilo. El viento soplaba fuerte y ambos cachorros batallan para mantener su vuelo estable.

Chase: ¿Marshall, ves algo?
Marshall: Si, muchos árboles y tierra.
Chase: Jejejeje. Volvamos con Raider y digámosle que todo está bien.
Marshall: Te sigo chase.

Pero los dos cachorros no contaron con un pequeño, pero importante detalle. Al momento de que dan la vuelta, son golpeados por una enorme ráfaga de viento. Aun así, ambos cachorros le dan más potencia a sus cohetes, y por un momento, todo parecía ir muy bien, pero los problemas iniciaron cuando el viento se hace más fuerte y empuja a los dos cachorros, chase le dice a Marshall que use toda la potencia de sus alas y que el hará lo mismo con sus cohetes. Ambos cachorros hacen lo acordado, pero cuando el combustible se acaba, los dos salen disparados hacia los bosques de las afueras de la ciudad. A ambos cachorros se les había terminado el combustible de sus cohetes, y cada vez más, el viento los hacia ir demasiado rápido. Chase nota que se dirigen directo a los árboles, toma la pata de Marshall para evitar que ambos sufran muchos daños, pero Marshall ve que no funcionara, abraza a chase y se pone el mismo como escudo. Marshall y chase se impactan contra la rama de un grueso pino gigante, esta a su vez, los lanza aún más fuerte. Chase termina estrellándose directo en el piso pero Marshall había sido disparado más lejos. Cuando chase despierta, ve que su mejor amigo no está ahí, y usando sus gafas, logra ver una parte del traje de Marshall en un tronco, y decidido a buscarlo, el cachorro policía va hacia el trozo. Siguiendo el aroma de Marshall, chase lo encuentra tirado bajo un árbol, sus alas estaban destruidas y su traje rasgado. Chase tenia moretones y una que otra herida abierta, pero su amigo estaba muchísimo peor que él.

Chase: ¡No! ¡Marshall! (Va con el)
Marshall: Auh… Chase… ¿Qué paso? (Despertando)
Chase: Marshall, estas muy mal. ¿Te puedes levantar?
Marshall: No lo creo. Mi pata derecha me duele mucho y no puedo moverla.
Chase: Oh no, te rompiste una pata.
Marshall: Si pero… Chase, tu placa.
Chase: ¿Ah? (La ve, estaba terriblemente dañada) Cielos.
Marshall: ¿Qué hacemos?
Chase: Te llevare al cuartel caminando. Apóyate sobre mí. (Lo ayuda)

Mientras tanto, en el cuartel, Raider y los demás estaban preocupados por el hecho de que Marshall y chase no llegaban aun. Skye estaba muy alterada, pues le preocupaba mucho chase, pero presentía algo, en su interior algo le decía que chase estaba bien, pero Marshall no. Raider usa el telescopio del cuartel para revisar la zona, pero no ve a ninguno de los dos. Pensando que aún están revisando los alrededores, se tranquiliza y a los cachorros. Pero Skye no dejaba de tener ese presentimiento tan extraño. Pasa una hora y chase y Marshall aun caminaban, el viento los había alejado mucho de la ciudad. Marshall no caminaba como debería y chase le dolía el cuerpo. Chase trata de llamar a Raider pero se olvida de que su placa está dañada. En eso, Marshall le da a chase su placa y le dice que lo deje ahí…

Chase: ¡No lo hare, no te dejare aquí!
Marshall: Chase, debes hacerlo. Debes tranquilizar a todos y venir con ellos. Sobre todo a Skye.
Chase: Marshall… ¿Tu…sabes de…?
Marshall: Siempre lo supe, ahora ve.
Chase: Bien, iré. Te prometo no tardar. (Va)
Marshall: Lo sé.
Chase: Raider, Raider. ¿Hola?

Raider: ¿Espera, que? ¿Chase? Cachorros, tenemos una alerta roja, Marshall está mal herido y está en las afueras.
Todos: ¡Oh no!

Cuando escucha todo lo que chase dijo, las patas de Skye se colapsan y ella cae sentada, Everest se acerca y la tranquiliza, los demás cachorros la ayudan a ir al piso principal. Chase llega justo cuando apenas acaban de subir. Pero mientras Raider les dice a los cachorros la misión, el clima empeora. El viento se pone tan violento, que literalmente tumba un árbol delgado, el cual, cae sobre Marshall. Dicho impacto no lo hiere pero lo deja atrapado.

Marshall: Rayos. Si algún día alguien quiere mala suerte, creo que me deberá adoptar a mí. Chase, chicos, no se tarden.

Mientras, todos los cachorros buscan por todas las afueras de la ciudad con Raider. Pero Skye, Everest y chase buscan en los bosques. Chase le indica a Skye que use su helicóptero para buscar desde el aire, pero ella, por su preocupación, no le pone atención, eso hasta que chase usa su megáfono, y Skye se pone en marcha. Sin embargo, el destino dio su famoso giro inesperado, cuando otro árbol es derribado, Everest estaba justo debajo y chase, rápido como un torpedo, la salva, terminando con su nariz junto a la de ella. Ambos cachorros se miran muy sonrojados, pero recuerdan la misión y siguen con su trabajo. En eso, desde el aire, Skye ve a Marshall atrapado bajo el tronco del árbol que cayó sobre él, pero al verlo, Skye derrama lágrimas, pues el dálmata que siempre estaba de muy buen humor y la hacía reír, estaba mal herido y no perdía las esperanzas, pues lo veía tratando de salir con una pata completamente inmóvil. Skye notifica a chase y a los demás, y mientras llegan, Skye va con Marshall y ella al ver su sonrisa, llora aún más y lo abraza, Everest y chase llegan y lo ayudan a salir. Marshall les dice que está muy feliz y en eso, cae sin fuerzas y desmallado en los brazos de chase, para ser abrazado posteriormente por Skye, quien lloraba abrazando al dálmata herido. Raider llega con los demás y de inmediato carga a Marshall y se van de ahí. Esa noche, en el cuartel, todos esperaban afuera de la sala de reuniones, pues era ahí donde Raider y Katy pusieron a Marshall para que descansara, y finalmente, los dos salen y les dicen que pueden entrar. Cada uno ve al dálmata feliz y muy contento en cama y con su pata derecha sostenida por una venda. A todos les conmovía como chase abraza al dálmata y le dice que nunca volviera a arriesgarse así, y a Marshall contestarle que no promete nada. Skye estaba muy feliz y al mismo tiempo, sabía lo que al fin quería. Cuando todos los cachorros se van, Skye se queda con Marshall.

Skye: Me impresiona que todavía estés feliz después de todo lo que sufriste.
Marshall: Ya sabes mi lema, ante toda tristeza, sonríe sin pena jejejeje.
Skye: Lo sé. (Llora) Por eso eres un cachorro como ninguno. Oh Marshall. (Lo abraza)
Marshall: También te extrañe Skye.
Skye: Y yo estaba muy preocupada. Si algo te pasaba, yo…
Marshall: Pero creí que…
Skye: También yo Marshall. Pero descubrí, que tú eres a quien amo. Te amo Marshall, te amo hoy y siempre.

Ambos cachorros se miran a los ojos, Skye sostenía a Marshall y los dos, llevados por el momento, se dan el beso más amoroso de todos. Skye por fin había decidido, Marshall era todo suyo y ahora ella era de Marshall. Al final, Marshall y ella se convirtieron en pareja, así como chase y Everest. Por fin, los cuatro cachorros eran muy felices, pero Marshall aún se recuperaba.
