When commanded by their chosen wielder, the gauntlets form a type of uniform based on the wielder’s physiology and personality. It also produces a protective aura that will reduce damage in various forms and even protect the body in the vacuum of space. This aura also allows the wielder to levitate/fly and enhance their strength to a degree. The gauntlet also grants a type of universal translator, particularly helpful for sentries whose quadrant of space has many varied forms of intelligent life. The gauntlets can be concealed as a safety feature for those who may wish to not make their identity public to their society or if they are trying to be sneaky. The previously mentioned aspects of the gauntlets are more additional automatic functions/features while its primary function is to harness solar energy to produce constructs. By tapping into the wielder’s mind/imagination, the gauntlet is able to produce solid light constructs of whatever the sentry can feasibly conceive. This can range from defensive shields and energy blasts to complex weapons/tools and even creatures. These constructs can only be sustained by the wielder’s strength of will and concentration, other wise they might structurally collapse. These constructs can also be used to lift and move objects and beings but is limited by the wielder’s stamina and ability to concentrate. If the wielder becomes distracted, the construct might change shape based on the wielder’s current thoughts or destabilize. Apart from the wearer’s personal flaws, the gauntlets have a fault to where they have to recharge the star shard with solar energy for a period of time or risk run out of power during dire straits. The allotted amount of time depends on how much energy is needed, what type of star/sun is nearest and the length of a day on the sentry’s native planet. In the case of Markisen, a full recharge would require a complete 12 hour cycle for a charge that in the best case scenario could last half of a week or more. A member of the guild whose a pretty obvious rip off of DC Comics’ Green Lantern with some influence by webcomic series Star Power.
