However, after some of his technology and notes were stolen, McGinley would augment elements of the suit to reclaim his property and bring the criminals to justice. He has refined it over the years with the third version of the MicroTech suit being the one that he uses in his current superhero career. The suit is padded to absorb and reduce physical blows to his body and made of a material which is resistant to ballistics, electricity, extreme temperatures, fire and most acidic compounds. The helmet of the suit is reinforced to prevent cranial trauma and serves to give him some guidance and communication to and from his Eye Bot Drones. Specialized nanotech built into the suit is powered by the size shifting chemical to grant enhancement to some of his physical prowess in any size but is tweaked in ways to only respond to certain heights. The core source of his powers comes from the harness of the suit which contains fuel cells of the chemical which can be activated via buttons on the belt as the primary trigger, though previous escapades have led to Micromax placing auxiliary triggers in the palms of his gloves if he is unable to reach his belt. The major flaws in the suit come from a limited supply in the fuel cells and very sophisticated hardware. The fuel cells themselves are small, each about the size of a double A battery and prolonged use of them can drain them quickly causing the user to return to normal size when empty. The internal workings of the suit are rather sophisticated and damage done to them can either trigger erratic size shifting or the suit to become utterly useless. Repairs can be done on the suit but only by McGinley himself and less than a handful of confidants of his. \nEye Bots- These small floating robots of Micromax’s were initially designed as prototype nanobots to aid in surgery by being injected into a person’s bloodstream and relay footage to physicians. He nicknamed them Eye Bots due to their original purpose of surveillance and being ‘eyes in the back of his head’. The Drones he uses in his superhero work have instead been used to aid him for potential threats and obstacles. They possess sensors that pick up motion, sound and heat signatures within the radius of Micromax and will send notifications to his helmet receiver of nearby individuals whether friend or foe. The Bots have several built-in tools to aid in different situations and in particular weapons for defensive measures like tasers, gas pellets, net launchers and dispensers for foam and liquids. Their A.I. is fairly primitive but is decent enough to be helpful. Originally, I was thinking I might try to find a good middle ground between the big two's size-changing superheroes - Marvel's Ant-Man and DC's the Atom but ended up leaning way more into Ant-Man design wise without the insect theme and kind of ripped off the basic premise for what I know of Hank Pym's Silver Age origin story...again without the ants. I like how this design came out but I realized I didn't have a civilian clothes design which I think I'll do later cause I want to do a few other pics right now and wanted to just post this as is. I'll update it later.
