"description": "[b]Powers & Abilities: Knowledge of Archaeology, Mythology and Anthropology[/b]- Due to a fascination with ancient cultures and legends that carried on through his childhood, Jake took an interest in the different subjects as he continued in his education. Thanks to this knowledge, he can be a wealth of information if an investigation involves some element of the subjects.\n[b]Limited Transformation[/b]- After bonding with the Phoenix Device, Jake was given a special genetic solution that blended his terran duck physiology with traits of the avian alien race, the Phaenes. Thanks to advanced alien nanotech, these traits are dormant until the armor is activated. Once this is done, his body undergoes a few changes mainly with his feather, bill and eye color changing and some enhanced physical and mental prowess. This particular aspect surprisingly grants some level of secrecy to his identity if portions of the armor are damaged, exposing his face or body to some degree.\n[b]Arsenal: Phoenix Armor[/b]- This device was crafted by an alien race called the Phaenes centuries if not millennia ago to combat a powerful threat. Their race was in a state of war with another alien power, The Aphkarn who were attempting to conquer the known universe. In an attempt to prevent conquest, they crafted the Phoenix Armors, devices resembling a metallic red bird statue containing a sophisticated and advanced form of nanotech armor which could make anyone who bonded with it a walking fully-loaded arsenal. After crafting several of these devices, they were sent to several planets who could potentially become targets of their enemies. One of them was sent to Earth a long time ago and had been found by a few people who assumed it to be an item from the gods. The phoenix armor device was used as an idol in a temple in the middle east but was lost for years before being discovered by archaeologists and sent to the Siegel Park Museum of Natural History where Jake came in contact with it and unintentionally bonded it to himself. The armor is almost impervious to damage from most earthly means, with only high caliber energy weapons even able to put a scratch on it. Though it can be damaged, the armor has special defensive systems that will initiate repairs if damage becomes too great. When engaged, the suit enhances Jake’s physical abilities to aid him combat, also increasing his reaction time and ability to process information. This coupled with an onboard A.I. Construct known as Aegis, allows Jake to get access to information he might need while on a case or in battle. The sophisticated and advanced nature of the armor allows it to reconfigure portions of it into tools or weapons to aid the wearer in whatever way they might need it.
