"description": "riiiiiiiiiiiiight so i think this needs some explanation because i know i said i didn't want to do two yoshi pics in a row, but honestly i couldn't resist\n\nwhile i did indeed keep my promise about making an image for the poll winner[url=https://inkbunny.net/s/2463235](which you can view here)[/url], i had initially started work on the second pose i made(partially because it was in the lead at the time). i then came up with the idea to try a new style i haven't really worked with yet: portrait renders. i got a hold of a decent map with a bathtub big enough to fit the model, put in some faux water effects, and re-posed yoshi to appear as if he is taking a selfie of himself whilst bathing which i felt was extremely cute.\n\ni also decided to experiment with some more photo edits. firstly, since it's not really possible to do within SFM itself without it looking a bit odd, i decided to apply water effects onto yoshi myself. honestly, i could've done far better with this part, you may spot some areas where the water droplets all face in different directions instead of being consistent, as well as an area on his left thigh where i tried to blend two masks together and made it look.... wonky, and it's hard to unsee when you spot it. regardless, tried my best and i think it turned out nice.\n\nsecond, i decided to add fog to the bathroom mirror, considering the fact that he is taking a warm bath. this was actually done by creating two renders: the standard one, and a render with the lighting, AO, and character model removed, as the mirror reflection would render in at the incorrect angle and partially appear solid white in the render due to the lighting. honestly, it still may look off as it's at an unnatural angle, but regardless i tried my best.\n\nlastly, the image also includes a variant with an iphone camera filter; thought it would sell the idea more on yoshi taking a selfie, and it also does a good job hiding the shitty work i did with the droplets on his thigh. i also went ahead and added some additional details, including making the HDR and camera icons on the top yellow to signify being used, just like on a real iphone, as well as adding in a [url=https://inkbunny.net/s/2382553]previous image yoshi took of himself[/url] in the bottom left. i like to think that he and the yoshi in the older pic are the same character, and he shares pictures of himself for body positivity purposes. kind of a weak background story i know, i'm just writing this as it comes to my head and you're welcome to do better lol\n\nso yeah, expect to see stuff like this more often as i brainstorm more ideas, and also expect to see this yoshi more as i enjoy making artwork of him. and i apologize for the text wall of a description :P",
