"description": "I haven't been inspired to draw anything lately, but I've really enjoyed working on this model. I sometimes like new challenges. :) This maybe isn't 100% \"done\" - I could probably fiddle with it for a lot longer - but I think it's post-worthy at least.\n\nSo, here it is - my first 3D model. Done in Sculptris, a fairly simple 3D-modeling program that Mulefoot pointed me to. Definitely learned a lot during the process, and I like to think I learned some better anatomy too, as I had to look at a lot of reference pics and guides to get it to this point.
It doesn't support advanced features like fur, but I tried to get the basic shapes looking right. I did recently get messiahStudio5 at a great price, so might play around with that next, see if I can give him some more details and maybe even rig up a skeleton. Or not. We'll see how complicated it is. ;)
The digitigrade legs were perhaps the hardest part - I contemplated leaving him plantigrade, but in my art I generally draw them plantigrade, and I think it suits a canid to go that route.
